READY TO RULE

Boortz , of courtz: "This nuance was lost on most of the American voters. People were so gunched up in the media-driven ObamaFrenzy that they didn't stop for a moment to think that in America we don't elect rulers, we elect leaders. Well ... sometimes. It is now clear that Obama meant exactly what he said. He was ready to rule. He does consider himself to be a ruler. Here's some evidence for you."

You get results — or, in the boast of Inner City head Pierre Sutton, "They got the message.""

Riding the Back of the Tiger...

Victor Davis Hanson "…is what America has done since 1941. Obama wants to get off. Fine. Many of our countrymen are tired of the ride. But what makes him think that on the ground with the gnashing beast is any safer than on his back?"...."wars were not caused by Bush-like ‘smoke-‘em-out’ rhetoric — no more than they were prevented by “reset” button outreach or bowing to thugs or the League of Nations or the United Nations or things like the Wilsonian Cairo speech."

Political Cartoons by Glenn Foden

Groaning with Hope

Breakpoint "I think my husband and I are as giddy as children each night when we open another little window of our Advent calendar. The Advent season is historically a season of waiting, and this year especially—six months pregnant and anticipating the birth of our first child—I find myself thinking about the grace and challenge of waiting."

Greens' Real Target: U.S. Economy

IBD "Having decisively lost the great debate between capitalism and socialism, the only way the global warming socialists can do this is by imposing restrictions on U.S. output in response to the ginned-up "emergency" of global warming."
