On the road

Posting will be on the skimpy side the next 24 hours as Mr and Mrs Dweller will be travelling through Arizona and hoping to spend money there. We'll gas up as soon as we enter the state and just before we leave it the next day. We'll hit the Cracker Barrels in Arizona as well.
We look forward to making up for lost time in a couple of days, so stick with us.

The “Howling Mob” theory of liberal politics

Bookworm Room This is a picture of the Howling Mob that formed against American Muslims immediately after 9/11: [Sorry, couldn't find one.]
This is a picture of the Howling Mob that formed against American Muslims after the Food Hood massacre:
[Sorry, again, I couldn't find one.]
This is a picture of the Howling Mob that gathered to boot Hispanics out of the country once Arizona passed its statute requiring police to comply with federal immigration laws:
[Whoops! Once again, I seem to be missing some pictures here.]
Here are some members of the Howling Tea Party Mob, gathered together to protest Barack Obama’s economic policies:

The Black Church's Commitment to Obama

Lloyd Marcus "My family and most of my black friends are Christians striving to live lives which honor Christ. And yet, there is a huge disconnect between their Christianity and their irrational, blind, and bordering on idol worship of Obama. Will the truth about Obama make a difference? For some, I think not. For those of you who value your commitment to Christ more than your loyalty to skin color, here are a few facts."...

The dots some don't want to connect

Mark Steyn "These days, Islam doesn't even have to show up. The Metropolitan Museum of Art has quietly pulled representations of Mohammed from its Islamic collection. With the Danish cartoons, violent mobs actually had to kill large numbers of people before Kurt Westegaard was sent into involuntary "retirement." Even with "South Park," the thugs still had to threaten murder. But the Metropolitan Museum caved pre-emptively – no murders, no threats but best to crawl into a fetal position, anyway."

Enough Money: a lesson in economics

Thomas Sowell "The key word in this statement, made by President Barack Obama recently, is "you." There is nothing wrong with my deciding how much money is enough for me or your deciding how much money is enough for you, but when politicians think that they should be deciding how much money is enough for other people, that is starting down a very slippery slope.
Politicians with the power to determine each citizen's income are no longer public servants. They are public masters."  Emphasis added.

Do you ever get the idea that our government is a bunch of left-wing undergraduates come to power?

Hot Air "“Human Rights First is an open borders group that opposes all government efforts to control illegal immigration and strengthen American national security.” That’s what its purpose is. And this guy was the grand pooh-bah of Human Rights First, Michael Posner.".... "He’s an Obama appointee, he’s in the State Department, he’s working for Hillary Clinton, Michael Posner. People keep saying to me, “How do these wackos keep getting into government,” as though Obama knows nothing about it,"...
