How the Finns deal with rapists

Yes, the government of Finland . . . truly believes that, essentially, a pair of mittens, a handbag and a stern look will stop most rapists.
. . . "If you hadn’t seen it, you wouldn’t have believed it.  That was an entirely serious video played on television and created by the Finnish government in order to reduce the number of rapes committed by Muslim invaders." . . .

I don’t like Bernie because his “Medicare For All” plan is terrible for America’s health and economy

"If you doubt me about the benefits of competition, dig into your desk drawer and drag out one of your flash drives.  Take a good look at that useful little thing and think about this:  On Amazon today, you can get ten 8 GB flash drives for $44.00 — or $4.40 per flash drive.  What you probably don’t know if you’re under 35 is that, when flash drives first came out in the 1990s, their storage ability was measured by megabytes, not gigabytes, and their cost was in the hundreds of dollars.  What brought quality up and costs down was competition, unimpeded by government mandates and other market perversions."
Bookworm Room  "My college-age child introduced me to a website called I Like Bernie, But…which is particularly appealing to young voters. The website offers short answers to concerns pro-Bernie voters might still be harboring about his policies and his ability to win. With few exceptions, these answers are just plain wrong. You can see my rebuttals at a website I set up as a counterweight (I Don’t Like Bernie, Because…). I’ve republished those same articles here, at my own blog, addressing Bernie’s socialismhis tax plans, and his Second Amendment stance. Today I’m tackling everything that’s wrong with Bernie’s plan to socialize American medicine." . . .
This writer's article discusses these points:
I.  What Bernie promises. . .
II. America cannot afford Bernie’s plan . . .
III. Progressive claims to the contrary, European health care not the wonderful thing that you think it is. . .

Perpetual victimhood

Beware the Perpetual Victim’s Wrath

perpetual victim

Even back in 2008, Hillary is The Victim!  . . . " And Hillary, as strong as she is, wins as a victim. That is the trajectory of her career. I am a victim. Punch. So why are women whining and the identifying with being the victim again?" . . .

Hillary Clinton is no victim  " . . .Clinton's looped victim audio track has been playing for 20-plus years. She was a victim of her husband's philandering. She was a victim of a vast right-wing conspiracy. And most recently, in a one-on one interview with ABC's Diane Sawyer, she claimed that she and Bill were "dead broke" when they left the White House. Victim. Victim. Victim. You know what a victim is? It's someone who tells a story that their lives are awful as a way to get attention and adoration. " . . .
What makes a person a perpetual victim?   "Everyone feels sorry for people who have been through terrible experiences not of their own making. But most of those who have had bad things happen to them usually heal and go on with their lives, as hard as it may be. Others spend their time perpetuating their victimhood, finding hurtful intentions in others and constantly asking for sympathy. What do you know about these so-called eternal or professional victims? Take this quiz and see." . . .
Perpetual Victims Syndrome  "Check this out.
"When police in London arrest muslims for openly inciting violence and murder, it gets put in the category called "Islamophobia" on The Muslim News website. Anything to be portrayed as the victim....."

MRS. OBAMA'S TALL TALES OF RACIALIZED VICTIMHOOD
"Even as the first lady," she bemoaned, "not highly disguised, the only person who came up to me in the store was a woman who asked me to help her take something off a shelf."
. . . "On David Letterman's show in 2012, the haute-couture-clad first lady recounted the same "incognito" Target visit to demonstrate her just-like-you bona fides. She chuckled as she shared how the shopper asked: "Can you reach on that shelf and hand me the detergent?" As the audience laughed with delight and Mrs. Obama grinned from ear to ear, she told Letterman: "I reached up, 'cause she was short, and I reached up, pulled it down — she said, 'Well, you didn't have to make it look so easy.' That was my interaction. I felt so good.' " . . .

Denzel vs. Michelle – Optimism vs. Victimhood
michelle obama"I was driving the other day and listening to  Michelle Obama’s race obsessed commencement address at Tuskegee University founded by civil rights leader, Booker T. Washington, on Sean Hannity’s radio program.  By the time I got to my destination, I wanted to grab the closest razor and slit my wrists. When I got home, I read her entire speech and was stunned there were no reports of mass suicide by the graduates at the University over the weekend.
"What I heard was a speech that was negative, depressive and bleak and painted a hopeless future for these young people which gave them no opportunity other than to declare themselves victims of a continuing oppressive and racist society.
Denzel Washington"In stark contrast, I came across Denzel Washington’s commencement speech at Dillard University over the weekend.  It was uplifting and full of optimism.  He told the graduates to put God first in everything they do and to thank Him for grace, understanding, wisdom, their parents, love, kindness and humility.  He talked about having dreams but also setting life goals, annual goals, monthly goals, and even daily goals.  He stressed that goals are met through discipline and consistency and that hard work is what successful people do." . . .  Full article

Dr. Phyllis Chesler: "Hijab in the US navy; What the Iranians put on the head of the one female among the captured sailors says it all."

Prof. Phyllis Chesler  . . . "The fact that President Obama failed to mention that his sailors were in captivity even as he addressed the nation in his last State of the Union speech--is beyond shameful but alas, is merely more of the same.

"The fact that Secretary of State John Kerry would have us believe that his conversations with Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif actually played a significant role in Iran's decision to release the sailors unharmed and quickly--is as shameless as everything else--such as the fact that the American administration has gone along with the pretense that the sailors had either done something "wrong," or that their boat had somehow mis-functioned.

"Then, there is at least one other thing.

"Dr. Walid Phares, on Facebook, called my attention to the fact that the single American female sailor in the photos is....wearing hijab.

"What? Is that regulation American Navy attire for women?

"Is this American sailor perhaps a religious Muslim?

"No. Iran is demonstrating that it is prepared to enforce its version of Shariah law, even upon infidels, when it has the power to do so.

"America, like other Western countries, including Israel, has been busily integrating women into a previously all-male military.

King Obama is making no principled moves, none at all.

Iran HUMILIATES American Sailors — And Obama Administration THANKS Them For It!  . . . "The IRG told a different story. They said that the Americans were “snooping,” and Iran’s army chief said that the seizure of the boats was a rebuke to Congress. “This incident in the Persian Gulf, which probably will not be the American forces’ last mistake in the region, should be a lesson to troublemakers in the US Congress,”said Major General Hassan Firouzabadi. And according to Reuters, Biden was fibbing – the Iranians did in fact ask for an apology, with Foreign Minister Mohammed Javad Zarif leading the way.
They then released these photos:

"In his State of the Union address, Obama ignored the whole incident, naturally – even as he promised that he would see the Iranian deal through to the end. And he will, even if he has to become Iran’s PR machine to do it, at the expense of our own military men and women."

‘I’m Just Asking a Question’: Rush Limbaugh Reveals What He’s ‘Always Wondered’ About Obama

Admiration for Rev. Wright, perhaps?

The Blaze  "Conservative talk show host Rush Limbaugh asked aloud on his radio program Thursday why President Barack Obama made the choice to become a Christian.
"Limbaugh, referencing the president’s recent trip to a Baltimore mosque this week, argued Obama is “constantly talking [Islam] up.”
“ 'President Obama is routinely defending it, talking it up, promoting it,” Limbaugh contended, according to anonline transcript posted to his official website.
“He talks about how awesome Islam is all the time, one of the most beautiful sounds he’s ever heard is the morning call to prayer in an Islamic country,” the radio show host added. “He says it’s the most peaceful, most giving religion out there, that the mosque called a prayer one of the most beautiful sounds in the world. And, at the same time, he’s out there, and look what he says about Christians. He says he is one. Look, he talks about ‘em as bitter clingers and they hold on to their guns when they’re nervous.”
"Limbaugh then revealed his question.
“ 'My question is, given all this, why did he choose to become a Christian? I’ve always wondered that,” he told his audience. “He’s such a defender and promoter of Islam, and, on the other hand, he and his party are constantly denigrating Christians. I don’t care what the issue is, whether it’s guns, whether it’s gay marriage, any cultural or social issue, or the bitter clinger comments. I’ve always wondered about this.”
"The radio host argued he was “not saying anything.”
“ 'I’m just asking a question,” he insisted." . . .

What if GOP Candidates escorted Carly Fiorina on to the debate stage?

Kemberlee Kaye at Legal Insurrection  "Carly gets a bum deal"

Carly Fiorina ISIS plan

"Thursday night, ABC announced the lineup for tomorrow’s New Hampshire debate. Carly Fiorina was left off the roster.

"To put it politely — Carly got royally screwed.

"For the first time this primary season there will be no undercard debate, leaving Fiorina and Gilmore the only candidates unable to participate in the network’s pre-New Hampshire primary debate.

"Fiorina placed higher in the Iowa Caucus than two other approved debate contenders — Governors Chris Christie and John Kasich. . . .

"The Washington Post‘s Phillip Bump has the best illustration of the polling breakdown:

Bill Clinton: If Hillary Is Elected She Will Get Between One And Three Supreme Court Appointments…

Weasel Zippers
Bill SC

"(Shudder)
With us being just several weeks away now from South Carolina’s Democratic primary, Hillary Clinton wasn’t in town Wednesday, but her husband was.
The former president took the stage a little early Wednesday night and spoke for about thirty minutes to the supportive crowd. He said Hillary Clinton, if elected, would practice inclusive politics.
“She is clearly the best qualified person to be president I have ever had the chance to vote for and ask you to vote for.”
The last time President Bill Clinton was reportedly in Columbia was in 2012 when he delivered a commencement speech at Columbia College. It was his first trip to Allen University since 2000. And the 42nd president, naturally, had nothing but praise for his wife, who’s battling for the Democratic nomination for president.
Clinton narrowly won the Iowa Caucus on Monday but her chances in New Hampshire are much slimmer with her challenger, Senator Bernie Sanders, leading in the polls.
Political experts say that’s why South Carolina will be important to her.
“One of the reasons you ought to vote for Hillary is the next president’s going to get between one and three appointments to the United States Supreme Court, and we can change a lot of that.” . . .

Did you know there was a Hillary-Bernie debate last night?

"The debate is the last before Tuesday’s first-in-the-nation New Hampshire primary, and Sanders holds a big lead in polls in the state."  The article below.

Clinton, Sanders Get Heated During Democratic Debate   . . . "In her opening statement, the former secretary of state attacked Sanders, saying she is “not making promises that I cannot keep” and that his numbers “just don’t add up.”
"She said she doesn’t want to “plunge” the nation into another contentious debate over health care and thinks college should be affordable, not free.
"Sanders countered that Clinton was willing to settle for less than Americans deserve." . . . I appreciate her point of view here.
Jerusalem Post: Clinton goes on attack against Sanders in combative presidential debate  . . . "She also disputed the establishment label, saying it was "quite amusing" to accuse "a woman, running to be the first woman president, as the establishment.' " . . . Victimhood again?

"Gee, I wonder why anyone would think that?
"Via NY Post:
In by far their most personal exchange of the campaign, Hillary Clinton lashed out during Thursday night’s Democratic debate at what she called Bernie Sanders’ “innuendo” and “insinuation” that her Wall Street speaking fees and donations mean she’s bought.
“I think it’s time to end the very artful smear that you and your campaign have been carrying out,” Clinton said.
Some in the audience at the University of New Hampshire in Durham booed at the attack. Sanders seemed taken aback, saying, “Ooohh, c’mon.” . . .

Young Bernie fans waking up to suspect Iowa Caucuses were stolen by Hillary

Political Cartoons by Michael Ramirez
Thomas Lifson  "All is proceeding exactly as I hoped. The naïve and idealistic young supporters of Bernie Sanders are getting more and more evidence that the fix is in for Hillary Clinton, a corrupt, unappealing rich woman whose wealth comes from favor-seeking moneyed interests.  It looks very much as though the Iowa Caucuses vote counting was rigged.

"First, the Des Moines Register, which endorsed Hillary, announced that “something smelled” and called for an audit:"

Now, for a brief pause to insert this from HopeNChange:
obama, obama jokes, political, humor, cartoon, conservative, hope n' change, hope and change, stilton jarlsberg, sanders, clinton, debate
Now back to our program in progress:

Dr. Andy McGuire, chairwoman of the Iowa Democratic Party, refused Sanders' people's request for help in an audit of Iowa caucus results.)
"It didn’t take long to discover that this same party official is driving around the Hawkeye state in a car with the vanity license plate “HRC 2016”

The Iowa Democratic party chair who is refusing to release raw vote totals from Monday’s state caucuses is a long-time Hillary Clinton supporter who donated to the politician’s various campaigns and who reportedly drives a Buick with the license plate “HRC 2016.”

. . . "Even if Bernie wins New Hampshire and does better than expected in South Carolina, the Democratic Party elders will continue the thumb-on-the-scale behavior. If Hillary continues to collapse, they will rig the convention in Philadelphia.

"It is shaping up as a rerun of 1968, when the Chicago Democratic National Convention was a debacle that divided and dispirited the party. Instead of anti-war extremists, this time it is socialism extremists. If you think disillusioned young people would still show up and pull the lever for down ticket Democrats, you have not spent much time on college campuses.

"Of course, an indictment of Hillary could prevent this prospective train wreck. Hmmm. Something for Valerie Jarrett to ponder."
