This is troubling in these days when just opposing a political leader-at present this would be a leftist figure- would place one in the list of hate speech. Wouldn't anyone stating that they find Maxine Waters contemptible be considered guilty of hate speech. What about a white person who wants to run against Waters? Look how John McCain was handcuffed in his run against Obama. TD
Fortune "Prime Day is here, but Amazon is facing backlash for selling merchandise promoted by known hate groups. Rep. Keith Ellison (D-MN) sent a letter to Amazon CEO Jeff Bezos Tuesday, voicing concerns about the company’s income from such items.
“ 'I would like to know whether Amazon is committed to ceasing the sale of all products that promote hateful and racist ideologies,” wrote Ellison. “For a company with a policy prohibiting the sale of ‘products that promote or glorify hatred, violence, racial, sexual, or religious intolerance or promote organizations with such views,’ there appear to be a disturbing number of groups with hateful, racist, and violent agendas making money using Amazon’s platform.” . . .

How do I read the hate map?
"The SPLC hate map depicts the approximate locations of hate group chapters. The location of a chapter in no way implies that local government officials or residents endorse the beliefs of the group. Quite often, they don’t know it is there. This year’s hate map is also available in text format sorted by state and by ideology, and in CSV format. Data from previous years is available for download in Excel format."
This list was compiled using hate group publications and websites, individual and law enforcement reports, field sources and news reports. Groups that appear in the center of states represent statewide groups.
