Sanctuary cities will not want Trump in their back yards.
Not in Cher's neighborhood "The singer Cher (no last name) promised to leave this country, even this planet, if Donald J. Trump (R) became president of the United States. Well, Trump is president, and Cher is still living in this country — and yes, in Los Angeles, California and its wealthy liberal suburbs of Beverly Hills and Malibu, where Cher lives in huuuuuge homes (she owns several here and there), surrounded by gates and walls and doormen and guards, utilizing the hi-tech security that is part of the USA." . . .
. . . "Cher immediately tweeted a self-righteous battle-cry objection amounting to nothing more than the lame it-is-OK-for-everyone-else-but-not-in-my-backyard (NIMBY) excuse. Boom! : . . .
Cher goes MAGA; Here are a few responses to Cher, most welcoming her to MAGA and the Republican Party:
Trump Just Drove A Mack Truck Through The Shameless Liberal Hypocrisy On Sanctuary Cities "If the liberal attitude toward immigration and a host of other issues could be summed up with just one saying, it would be this one: “good for thee, but not for me.”
. . .
"Such was the case last week when President Donald Trump brilliantly proposed - in a masterful troll job that may very well exceed all of his previous troll jobs - that Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) transport illegal border-crossers to … wait for it ... sanctuary cities. Sure, it’ll sadly probably never happen, and likely the only reason Trump brought it up was to do exactly what it did - expose liberal hypocrisy. But even so, you’d think liberals would be ALL OVER the notion, right? This should be so EASY, given their worldview, so why not just call Trump’s bluff and say “bring them on in?” I mean, even allowing for the typical degree of liberal hypocrisy, the very definition of “sanctuary city” means that those in charge of designating their cities as such must want them to be, you know, a SANCTUARY for illegal immigrants. The more the merrier, they’re always saying, yet when the bad orange man proposes giving them what they supposedly want, right in their own backyards, they look that gift horse in the mouth like it’s got three eyes." . . .
From the grooveyard of unsatisfied grievances: Stupid White Man TV Commercials
MESSAGE to large corporations, small businesses and the advertising agencies they employ:
. . . "You have no idea how many people are fed up with your campaign to denigrate, insult and ridicule white men in TV commercials. Approximately 9,000 people have visited this blog after Googling...dumb white guy TV Ads, stupid white man TV commercials, etc. You will be facing a growing backlash unless you stop this illegal, vicious attack on white men immediately! You are liable for damages in the court of public opinion, as well as a court of law.
MESSAGE to everyone who visits this blog:Get on the “politically incorrect” bandwagon to restore positive, white male role models to all of America’s children. When you see a “Stupid White Man” TV commercial, get online and contact the offending company’s corporate office. If enough people demand change, change will happen. No one really benefits when racism and sexism are allowed to flourish unchallenged.
Charter Communications and Verizon have both listened to our complaints and reversed course! Now they are making creative, inspiring, up-lifting commercials that do not insult any group of people. One by one, these corporations will get your messages...
WHITE MEN ARE NOT STUPID!
A special thanks to all the visitors to this blog who have contacted these companies!

Wait, hold on—this is an evangelical Christian school we’re talking about here?
"I’m so old I can remember a time when free speech and intellectual diversity were cherished principles on campus—ideals to be scrupulously maintained, even promoted, rather than “hate crimes” from which the fragile sensibilities of silly, ignorant little twits must be shielded."Cold Fury
. . . On Thursday, the evangelical Christian school Taylor University announced it had invited Vice President Mike Pence to give its 2019 graduation speech. A tremendous uproar ensued, with students and alumni reporting that the decision made them “sick” and expressed support for “hate” and “harmful bullish*t.” The school told PJ Media it would not yield to pressure and was still proud to have Pence speak at graduation.
“The invitation stands. We are looking forward to hosting Mr. Pence on our campus next month,” James Garringer, director of media relations at Taylor University, told PJ Media on Friday.Yet the pressure is mounting. As of Friday afternoon, 2,393 people have signed a petition on Change.org protesting the decision to invite Pence.“Inviting Vice President Pence to Taylor University and giving him a coveted platform for his political views makes our alumni, faculty, staff and current students complicit in the Trump-Pence Administration’s policies, which we believe are not consistent with the Christian ethic of love we hold dear,” Alex Hoekstra, a former staffer for President Barack Obama and a 2007 Taylor University graduate, said in the petition.
"Then it looks like your education is woefully incomplete, snowflake."
. . . .Others proved more angry and visceral.“I have never been made to feel so physically ill by an email before. Taylor University, you should be ashamed of yourselves,” Claire Hadley, who graduated from Taylor in 2015, began in a long Facebook post. “I am physically shaking. The fact that the school who claims to love and support me, and each of it’s [sic] students and alum, would invite such a vile individual to speak on the most important day of the year??”
One comment about this blog post:
Lessee. Maybe . . . 600 are graduates from circa 2010 – 2017. The rest, I posit, are from the Perpetual Outrage Machine that’s so popular with those who have little perception of how to function in the physical world.I read the entire comment thread on fb. I confess, it gave me a headache. This, coming from an evangelical Christian school, serves as an illustration that the mal-education is a lot further along than any of us would like.
Spire Falls At Paris' Notre Dame As Cathedral Is Engulfed In Flames

Damien Rieu posted these reactions of some middle-easteners: “Allah est grand,” Mohamed Mouara commented at the sight.
. . . "The fire broke out during Holy Week for the world's Roman Catholics. At least four masses a day take place at the cathedral. So far there have been no reports of injuries.
"According to France 24, the cathedral closed at 6:45 p.m. local time, and the fire broke five or six minutes after.
"Police in Paris asked people to avoid the area so emergency vehicles could pass. Shelters have been set up for residents who live near the cathedral.
"NPR's Eleanor Beardsley was at the scene, standing with Parisians who watched, stunned.
" 'There's kind of a silence here," Beardsley said. "People are not screaming, they're just watching it burn and people are in a state of shock. Outside in the periphery, it's pandemonium in the city. They've stopped the trains from going by here, they're stopping traffic, police everywhere. But in a tighter circle around the cathedral we're just watching it burn.' " . . .
Newsweek: Catholic churches are being desecrated across France - and officials don't know why . . . " 'I think there is a rising hostility in France against the church and its symbols," but "it seems to be more against Christianity and the symbols of Christianity." . . .Close to my lifetime was the burning of Jewish synagogues in Nazi-occupied lands, TD

"Ines Madani, 22, was sentenced following a three-day trial during which she was accused of encouraging would-be jihadists to go to Syria and participate in attacks against France between March 2015 and June 2016.
"She used Telegram – an encrypted messaging app widely used by jihadists to communicate.
"Judge Isabelle Prevost-Desprez said that Madani was “recruited” by Oumar Diaw, also known as Abou Barrou, an influential jihadist of the Islamic State group.

EXCLUSIVE: New Email Leak Reveals Clinton Campaign’s Cozy Press Relationship
Wikileaks exposes secret list of 65 mainstream media reporters who are part of the Clinton mafia George Stephanopolous: no surprise there.

"Here is another, completely different list, of 25 mainstream reporters who were invited to a dinner at John Podesta’s house on April 9."
The Intercept; Glenn Greenwald "INTERNAL STRATEGY DOCUMENTS and emails among Clinton staffers shed light on friendly and highly useful relationships between the campaign and various members of the U.S. media, as well as the campaign’s strategies for manipulating those relationships.
"The emails were provided to The Intercept by the source identifying himself as Guccifer 2.0, who was reportedly responsible for prior significant hacks, including one that targeted the Democratic National Committee and resulted in the resignations of its top four officials. On Friday, Obama administration officials claimed that Russia’s “senior-most officials” were responsible for that hack and others, although they provided no evidence for that assertion.
"As these internal documents demonstrate, a central component of the Clinton campaign strategy is ensuring that journalists they believe are favorable to Clinton are tasked to report the stories the campaign wants circulated.
. . .
"At times, Clinton’s campaign staff not only internally drafted the stories they wanted published but even specified what should be quoted “on background” and what should be described as “on the record.”
"One January 2015 strategy document — designed to plant stories on Clinton’s decision-making process about whether to run for president — singled out reporter Maggie Haberman, then of Politico, now covering the election for the New York Times, as a “friendly journalist” who has “teed up” stories for them in the past and “never disappointed” them. Nick Merrill, the campaign press secretary, produced the memo, according to the document metadata:" The memo:
