Hillary hits back: Muslims have nothing to do with terrorism

Then perhaps it was a video which we had NOTHING to do with.

Fox News   "Nov. 19, 2015 - 3:39 - Dem presidential candidate hits back at critics who slam her refusal to use the term 'radical Islam' and makes her own case for battling ISIS and allowing Syrian refugees into the US. Amb. John Bolton goes 'On the Record' to respond."  Video at the link.

Carly Fiorina: Obama at his most passionate when attacking Republicans (Cartoon update)

Obama War on GOP

Legal Insurrection   "Carly Fiorina appeared on the Kelly File last night and offered a harsh rebuke to President Obama’s recent remarks regarding the terror attacks in Paris.

"Fiorina pointed out that Obama is more comfortable attacking Republicans than he is talking about America’s enemies and laid blame at the feet of the president and Hillary Clinton who she charges with leaving a vacuum in the Middle East by prematurely pulling out American forces against military counsel.

"When Megyn Kelly asks Fiorina what can be done domestically to stop the rise of ISIS and other terrorists, she says one of the most logical first steps would be to stop the flow of Syrian refugees who can’t possibly be vetted adequately.' . . .

Entire Senate votes 100-0 to defy Obama on Iran deal; Then they disappoint Obama on the Syrian refugee plan

The Gateway Pundit

. . . "The AFP quickly moved to describe the vote as “US Senate threatens Iran with new sanctions“. Note that just a few days ago Democrats had been blocking the measure.

"Yesterday the entire Senate approved it.

"On Thursday the head of the International Atomic Energy Agency announced that Iran was not providing needed access or information to their nuclear facilities." . . .

Democrats just delivered a stunning blow to Obama's Syrian refugee plan   "Turning on President Barack Obama and other Democratic leaders, a significant chunk of the House Democratic caucus sided with Republicans in an effort to effectively stifle the flow of Syrian refugees into the US.

On Thursday, 47 House Democrats voted in favor of a bill authored by Rep. Mike McCaul (R-Texas). The bill passed, 289-137, giving it just enough to overcome a threatened veto from President Barack Obama.

"The legislation bars Iraqi and Syrian refugees from being admitted to the US until the FBI director and the Director of National Intelligence certify to Congress that each refugee does not pose a national-security threat.

"The bill's passage comes less than a week after the Paris terror attacks, which left 129 dead and hundreds more injured. One of the suspected attackers was found with a refugee passport, though its authenticity has not been confirmed.

"Following the attacks, more than 30 governors and a number of mayors came out against Obama's plan to resettle up to 10,000 Syrian refugees over the next fiscal year.

"The Obama administration lobbied Democrats hard on Thursday, to no avail. In a closed-door meeting, White House Chief of Staff Denis McDonough and Secretary of Homeland Security Jeh Johnson tried to convince skeptical Democrats." . . .

Did Bill O'Reilly jump the shark?

Victor Davis Hanson

"Earlier this month, premier Fox newsman Bill O´Reilly became unhinged on live television. A red-faced O´Reilly loudly and repeatedly called his invited guest, Washington Post columnist and fellow conservative Fox News journalist George Will, a "hack" and accused him of lying. It was a surreal moment, with stunned viewers no doubt muttering to themselves, "Is the jig finally up?" Will had written a negative review of the fifth of O´Reilly´s co-authored "Killing" books, "Killing Reagan." So O´Reilly dared Will to appear on his "No Spin Zone" hot seat. Will did — and quietly punched some holes in O´Reilly´s strange thesis." . . .

Churchill vs. Obama: How to win our wars

"The point was not lost on them: Americans are weakening and seeking a path of retreat.  Osama bin Laden may be dead (the best accomplishment of this administration), but his words live on: Arabs will always cleave to the Strong Horse.  That is not a horse Mr. Obama wants to ride."
Robert Morrison
"President Obama is not interested in winning any wars.  He is interested in ending them by withdrawing from them.  While many conservatives complain he never utters the word Islamist to describe our enemies, we might be equally concerned that he never says the word victory.

"Victory was the one-word message that Winston Churchill spoke when he assumed office in 1940.  He was not interested in negotiating with the Nazis (Nozzies, as he contemptuously called them).  He intended to “beat the life” out of the Hun.  And he did.

"President Obama prefers to negotiate with Iran and to use pinprick surgical strikes against ISIS.  President Obama and his mouthpieces are ever so respectful of ISIS.  Many of us regard ISIS as Islamist Savagery Inspired by Satan.  But this administration is careful to refer to them as IS, ISIL, or even Daesh using their Arabic designator.

"That’s not too surprising.  Mr. Obama’s CIA director, John Brennan, holds the dubious distinction of being the first U.S. official in history to deliver a speech in which he referred to Jerusalem first by its Arabic name, al Quds." . . .

Clinton goes after the comedians who made fun of her

Judicial Watch   "In what appears to be a first for a serious presidential contender, Hillary Clinton’s campaign is going after five comedians who made fun of the former Secretary of State in standup skits at a popular Hollywood comedy club.

"A video of the short performance, which is less than three minutes, is posted on the website of the renowned club, Laugh Factory, and the Clinton campaign has tried to censor it. Besides demanding that the video be taken down, the Clinton campaign has demanded the personal contact information of the performers that appear in the recording. This is no laughing matter for club owner Jamie Masada, a comedy guru who opened Laugh Factory more than three decades ago and has been instrumental in launching the careers of many famous comics. “They threatened me,” Masada told Judicial Watch. “I have received complains before but never a call like this, threatening to put me out of business if I don’t cut the video.”

"Practically all of the country’s most acclaimed comedians have performed at the Laugh Factory and undoubtedly they have offended politicians and other well-known personalities with their standup routines. Tim Allen, Jay Leno, Roseanne Bar, Drew Carey, George Carlin, Jim Carrey, Martin Lawrence, Jerry Seinfeld and George Lopez are among the big names that have headlined at the Laugh Factory. The First Amendment right to free speech is a crucial component of the operation, though Masada drew the line a few years ago banning performers—including African Americans—from using the “n-word” in their acts.

"The five short performances that Clinton wants eliminated include some profanity and portions could be considered crass, but some of the lines are funny and that’s what the Laugh Factory is all about. The video features the individual acts of five comedians, four men and a woman. The skits make fun of Clinton’s wardrobe, her age, sexual orientation, the Monica Lewinsky scandal and the former First Lady’s relationship with her famous husband. The Laugh Factory has appropriately titled it “Hillary vs. The First Amendment.”

"Masada told Judicial Watch that, as soon as the video got posted on the Laugh Factory website, he received a phone call from a “prominent” person inside Clinton’s campaign. “He said the video was disgusting and asked who put me up to this,” Masada said. The Clinton staffer, who Masada did not want to identify, also demanded to know the names and phone numbers of the comedians that appear in the video. Masada refused and hung up. He insists that the comedy stage is a sanctuary for freedom of speech no matter who is offended. “Just last night we had (Emmy-award winner) Dana Carvey doing Donald Trump and it was hilarious,” Masada said."

Who should fear Obama most: Islamic murderers or critics of Obama policies?

Addressing root causes means blaming Islamic terrorism on everything from colonialism to global warming. It doesn’t mean defeating it, but finding new ways to blame it on the West.

Political Cartoons by Nate Beeler

Obama Wants to Defeat America, Not ISIS . . . "The White House version of reality says that ISIS attacked Paris because it’s losing. Obama also claimed that Putin’s growing strength in Syria is a sign of weakness. Never mind that Putin has all but succeeded in getting countries that were determined to overthrow Assad to agree to let him stay.

"Weakness is strength. Strength is weakness.

"Obama’s failed wars occupy a space of unreality that most Americans associate with Baghdad Bob bellowing that there are no American soldiers in Iraq. (There are, according to the White House, still no American ground forces in Iraq. Only American forces in firefights on the ground in Iraq.)

"There’s nothing new about any of this. Obama doesn’t win wars. He lies about them.

"The botched campaign against ISIS is a replay of the disaster in Afghanistan complete with ridiculous rules of engagement, blatant administration lies and no plan for victory. But there can’t be a plan for victory because when Obama gets past the buzzwords, he begins talking about addressing root causes.

"And you don’t win wars by addressing root causes. That’s just a euphemism for appeasement."

Political Cartoons by Jerry Holbert

Michael Barone: Obama gets really angry -- at Americans  . . . "But what really got him angry, as the transcript and videotape make clear, were reporters' repeated questions about the minimal success of his strategy against the Islamic State and Republicans' proposals for more active engagement in Syria and Iraq. As well as critics of his decision to allow 10,000 Syrians into the United States." . . .

Do any of his supporters from 2008 and 2012 now see Obama as the petulant juvenile he has been all along?
