The Jared Kushner Achievement Award Goes to … Kamala!

As has been duly noted, The New York Times’ front page celebrating Biden’s announcement of Kamala Harris as his running mate rivaled its moon landing coverage. A gigantic photo of a saintlike Harris took up half of the space above the fold, under a 2-inch headline: “HARRIS JOINS BIDEN TICKET, ACHIEVING A FIRST.”
Ann Coulter  "As has been duly noted, The New York Times’ front page celebrating Biden’s announcement of Kamala Harris as his running mate rivaled its moon landing coverage. A gigantic photo of a saintlike Harris took up half of the space above the fold, under a 2-inch headline: “HARRIS JOINS BIDEN TICKET, ACHIEVING A FIRST.”

"Specifically, the “first” was: “Woman of color in No. 2 slot of major party.”
"History was being made! “It was historic most of all, and especially sweet for many Black women” … Harris “is the first Black woman and the first person of Indian descent to be nominated for national office by a major party” … “It’s a stand-alone milestone, irrespective of who the opponent is.”
"(That last quote was from Vanita Gupta, who was head of the civil rights division in Obama’s Justice Department. As I keep telling you, Black America, immigrants are getting all the good diversity jobs.)
"No offense, but Harris was picked because she’s a woman of color. So it’s not really that amazing that she’s a woman of color. She didn’t swim the English Channel. She didn’t even win a primary. She’s not Margaret Thatcher.
"She’s Jared Kushner. (Including the Jewish spouse!)
"Hey, New York Times! How about devoting three-fourths of your front page with a 2-inch headline to Trump’s picking a young real estate investor as his chief White House adviser?"

Not the Onion: The DNC Includes Elizabeth Warren in Native American Caucus

PJ Media   "On Tuesday, the Democratic National Convention (DNC) apparently included Sen. Elizabeth Warren (D-Mass.) in its Native American Caucus meeting. While Warren has apologized for claiming a Native American identity after her disastrous DNA test flop and President Donald Trump has repeatedly mocked her as “Pocahontas,” it seems the DNC decided it would be a good idea to highlight the controversy.
“ 'I’m excited for the DNC Native American Caucus meeting today. Please join [Deb Haaland (D-N.M.)], [Sharice Davids (D-Kan.)], [Elizabeth Warren (D-Mass)], and me (and whole bunch of other good folks) today!” Lt. Gov. Peggy Flanagan (D-Minn.) tweeted on Tuesday. Flanagan is a member of the White Earth Band of Ojibwe.
. . .
"She listed herself as “American Indian” on a registration form for the Texas State Bar in Harvard Law School spokesman referred to her as a Native American.
1986. The Association of American Law Schools listed her as a minority law teacher from 1986 to 1994. During that time, she taught at the University of Texas, the University of Pennsylvania, and then Harvard University in 1995. In 1996, a
"Warren’s claim that her Native-American lie never got her a job seems rather suspect, but the statement that she never received any “benefit” from the lie is demonstrably false. Any proceeds from Pow Wow Chow arguably fall into that category.
"When Warren had a DNA test to “prove” her Cherokee status, the Cherokee Nation condemned this insult to their tribe." . . .

‘A Star Is Born’: GOP Candidate’s Ad Trounces Michelle Obama DNC Speech In Digital Metrics

In other words, whose video had the most views?

Daily Wire   "As noted by The Daily Wire on Monday, Republican strategist and congressional GOP candidate Kimberly Klacik released a hard-hitting ad slamming Democrats for their apparent fake concern for black lives, highlighting the devastation in Democrat-run cities, particularly Baltimore. The ad went viral online, racking up millions of views within hours and earning astounding social media engagement, such as shares, likes, and comments.
"The ad was so hot, in fact, it seemed to have eclipsed former First Lady Michelle Obama’s Democratic National Convention speech given on the same day, at least digitally, said The Post Millenial’s Chief Marketing Officer Jeff Ballingall.
" 'By digital metrics, Michelle Obama bombed at the DNC last night. The former first lady was completely outdone by an unknown house candidate, [Kimberly Klacik],” he said in a Twitter thread posted Tuesday.
. . .
“On Facebook, Michelle Obama, despite being promoted by the traditional media giants, couldn’t scratch the virality of Klacik and the new media outlets who pushed her,” he argued, captioning screenshots of the speech and ad online.
"The mere two results populated for Klacik show over 12.5 million views, whereas Obama’s numerous results totaled just shy of three million views, including views from conservative pundit Graham Allen criticizing her speech.
" 'Even on Twitter, Klacik has 25% more views than Michelle Obama,” Ballingall noted. Obama’s video, posted on the former First Lady’s Twitter account, shows 3 million views, whereas Klacik’s has 4.1 million." . . .

AOC's headfake to the DNC

Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez slams NBC News for 'totally false and divisive' clickbait on her DNC speech  "The Democratic National Convention formally nominated Joe Biden as its presidential candidate on Tuesday night, but the roll call of states and territories also included the votes for runner-up Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-Vt.). Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-N.Y.), a prominent Sanders supporter, seconded his nomination, and this is how NBC News recapped her short nominating speech: "In one of the shortest speeches of the DNC, Rep. Ocasio-Cortez did not endorse Joe Biden." After being criticized for political illiteracy, NBC News deleted the tweet and issued a clarification about how conventions work."

AOC Uses 60-Second Speaking Spot at DNC to Endorse Bernie Sanders

AOC nominates Bernie Sanders, snubs Joe Biden in DNC address   . . . "In her socialist rhetoric-heavy address, she spoke about Sanders’ movement to “repair the wounds of racial injustice, colonization, misogyny and homophobia” and not once addressed Biden, 77, who will be crowned the party’s nominee."

AOC Learns For One Brief Moment What It’s Like to Be a Republican
"Last night, Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez gave a 60 second speech at the DNC that turned some heads. As my colleague Jennifer Van Laar shared, the time limit was a bit of a snub given how highly the freshman Congressional member thinks of herself. But what really confused some people was when she ended her segment by endorsing Bernie Sanders and never mentioning Joe Biden.
"Now, because I’ve always thought AOC is an opportunist more desperate for power than revolution, I figured this was a procedural thing and was not actually any sort of snub. Indeed, it turned out to be a hand-out to the Bernie supporters and was requested by the DNC.
"NBC News didn’t include that context in their coverage, though, instead presenting it as AOC going rogue. They then offered this clarification." . . .

America’s Red Guard Rampage

Millennials can be so readily manipulated, their minds and convictions being so "malleable". Recall the US ping-pong team in China where one player expressed admiration of the benefits in "Mao thought".

Commentary  . . . "As I say in the headline of my article for the September issue of COMMENTARY, “Yes, This Is a Revolution.” What we’re witnessing, day after day, is revolutionary violence—and it is tearing up the country at a furious pace. It destroys businesses, livelihoods, and neighborhoods. It has also resulted in numerous deaths.
"In my article, I go through some of the reasons that we, as a nation, are not taking the revolution as seriously as we should. Most of these reasons come down to our inaccurate understanding of what revolutions actually look like. Americans in the 21st century tend to think that what’s happening here is tamer or less serious than what’s gone on in revolutions past. But it’s not. One example, not addressed in the piece, is the relative youth of the revolutionaries. You can see from video footage of the incidents above that the perpetrators of this violence look like teenagers and young adults. And many of the most violent moments of this revolution have involved gangs that could easily pass for teenagers. This makes it easy for some to dismiss the revolutionary violence as just another mode of the senseless destruction often found among young people in groups.
"Well, that’s a historical mistake. The Red Guard of Mao’s Cultural revolution wasn’t made up of seasoned military men or lifelong ideologues; it consisted of high-school and university students. They flocked to the revolutionary cause and repurposed their young lives in its service. The fact that they were teenagers didn’t stop them from killing thousands of Chinese and ruining the lives of a great many more. In fact, the viciousness of these young terrorists became a particular problem for Mao once the revolution was established and he found a remedy in shipping them out to the countryside to live with peasants." . . .

Devastating Trump campaign video portrays the dramatic mental decline of Joe Biden over the last few years

I could feel compassion for Joe, and then I recall not only his many gaffes but the extreme disrespect he showed toward Paul Ryan in their 2012 debate. His strange behavior indicated signs of a mental something or other. TD

Thomas Lifson  "The Democrats are hiding their radical platform and the party’s capitulation to the Sanders-AOC socialists, and instead touting the personality and purported character of Joe Biden as a guarantor of moderation.

It’s a phony appeal, of course, on two counts. One is that the lefty rads are totally in control and they know it.  They just have to keep a low profile and count on the media to hide them and their views.
"But the other count is harder to conceal: Joe Biden’s mental decline is severe.
"The old gaffe-prone Biden was never the sharpest knife in the drawer, but the video below from the Trump campaign put the lie to the contention that his mental wandering off is just “Joe being Joe.” It is barely over a minute long: . . ."

. . . "This video argues against both counts of the Democrats’ fraud. Biden lacks the focus and energy to keep the radicals reined in, even if that were possible). And his character, even if voters accept the fiction that it is sterling (ignoring his corruption in China, Ukraine and elsewhere), now that nobody is home upstairs, it doesn’t matter. "

Also here: Biden’s mental decline is an issue on the day he’s nominated   . . . "For the first time in American history, we will see a campaign that has, on the Republican side, an incredibly vital man who is dedicated to bringing American back to normal. Meanwhile, on the Democrat side, we will see a man manifestly losing himself to some form of dementia, with the real candidate being his vice-presidential sidekick, a vicious, unprincipled, opportunistic woman who pulled out of the primaries with barely any support from the party faithful and who has a 100% hard-left rating in the Senate putting her to the left of Bernie Sanders.
"The next few months should be interesting and could be scary."
