Liberal Millennials Love Trump's Tax Plan...When They Think It's Bernie's

Leah Barkoukis
When the interviewer finally informed the students that Sanders actually has no tax plan, one seemed more surprised than the next. “I’m shocked that I do agree with Trump on certain things,” one student replied. In the end they all acknowledged their bias toward anything related to Trump.
Liberal Millennials Love Trump's Tax Plan...When They Think It's Bernie's

"Liberals apparently love some elements of President Trump’s tax plan—that is, when they think it’s actually Sen. Bernie Sanders’s plan.

"Campus Reform headed to George Washington University in Washington, D.C. to talk with students about tax issues. The interviewer started out asking students what they thought of Trump’s tax plan—without specifics. The responses ranged from “it’s not the most efficient, nor beneficial to the general populous” to “it’s better for the upper class than anyone else.”

"Then Campus Reform decided to ask those same students about Sanders’s fictitious tax plan, which were actually parts of Trump's plan.

"One student said of the plan to enhance the child tax credit, “I think that’s great,” while another said it’s a “positive, definitely.”

"On eliminating the death tax, students expressed their support for the plan.

“ 'I think that’s definitely something we should be doing,” one student commented. “I’m in favor of that,” said another.

"Students also widely supported the idea to lower the small business tax rate to a maximum of 25 percent." . . .

Grieving Gold Star mom shuts down CNN’s Trump hammering: ‘I just want people to remember my son’

Carmine Sabia  "In a never ending quest to criticize President Donald Trump, CNN brought on the parents of another Gold Star family whose son was killed in action. And it made for a heart-wrenching interview.

"Sheila and Calvin Murphy appeared on the network to discuss their son, Etienne Murphy, 22, who died in Syria.

"Host Alisyn Camerota attempted to bait Sheila Murphy by asking if she had received a call from president Trump, but Murphy shut the door quick." . . .

Pay attention to the way CNN worded the chyron at the bottom of this video.

. . . "Gold star families have taken center stage this week since Democrat Florida Rep. Frederica Wilson shamelessly used one such family as a prop to wage her personal war against President Trump. Wilson claimed the president was callous towards the soldier’s widow and painted the president as uncaring about veterans.
"But her own record showed that she voted many times over the years against legislation aimed at helping veterans and their families."
Democrats, Fake News Media Exploit Sgt. La David Johnson’s Death to Smear Trump  . . . "Jake Tapper is among the conspiratorially-minded. That became clear during Wednesday’s edition of CNN’s The Lead, in which he led the show with a recap of Trump’s supposed history of “attacking Gold Star families,” as the chyron read, beginning with Sen. John McCain (R-AZ) and continuing through the infamous Khizr Khan.
"What Tapper conveniently failed to remember is that in each of these cases, the families attacked Trump first in a nakedly political fashion." . . .
. . . "It took Holder ten months to apologize to the family of Border Patrol agent Brian Terry, who died in Holder’s botched Operation Fast and Furious. And Holder only apologized after being publicly exposed for never having done so.

"Regardless, the media’s latest attack on Trump marks a new low. It requires us to disbelieve the evidence of what we have seen with our own eyes after nine months of Trump as commander-in-chief — that he cares deeply about those who serve in the military and law enforcement, and particularly for the families of the fallen. This is nothing more than a smear campaign, specifically aimed at dividing the country and distracting from the victory in Syria." . . .

Seinfeld Actor: ‘People Get Viscerally Angry At Me’ for Supporting Trump

Corinne Weaver   "It’s rare to find a conservative in Hollywood. It’s even more rare to find one that isn’t completely shunned for their beliefs.

"Actor John O’Hurley (Seinfeld) made a guest appearance on Fox and Friends on October 19 to promote his film, Swing Away, but also to talk about supporting Trump, NFL protests, and liberal Hollywood reacting to Harvey Weinstein.
"When asked about the NFL protests, he said,
“ 'I think it’s ridiculous. I go to the NFL for escapism. I don’t want to be slapped in the face for someone’s political views. It’s a way to get away, and I don’t believe that under the employment and they are being employed at the time, so it’s not their constitutionally protected right to do that in the area of employment. I have no more right to stand up in the middle of a Broadway show and announce my political views.
"Steve Doocy: Well, you could, but you just wouldn’t work the next day.
"O’Hurley: “And they would be right to can my little butt. And I kind of feel the same way about this NFL thing.”
"When Brian Kilmeade mentioned the cast of the Broadway show Hamilton protesting when Pence went to see the show, O’Hurley replied,
“ 'You know they did that and frankly I was embarrassed for my profession because I don’t think we should be pontificating from the stage. I don’t believe it. I wouldn’t do it, and I wouldn’t allow it with my cast." . . .

Democrats, this "racism" scam has long been disgusting. Are you not capable of decency, even a little? Reading list for you

Thanks to these cartoonish Democrats, a real victim of racism will likely be laughed at. TD

Now the Congresswoman Is Accusing John Kelly of Racism
Now the Congresswoman Is Accusing John Kelly of Racism
"I'm a rock star!"
. . . "White House Chief of Staff and former Gen. John Kelly, who lost a son in combat, was so distraught by the politicization of the soldiers' deaths in Niger, that he took a somber visit to Arlington Cemetery to collect his thoughts. Once he had, he offered some poignant, yet strong remarks at Thursday's White House press briefing. At one point, he scolded Rep. Wilson for supposedly bragging about getting securing funding for an FBI field office in 2015.
"Wilson, after hearing the remarks, said she feels "sympathy" for Gen. Kelly and the loss of his son, but insisted he can't just "go on TV and lie." Somehow, she perceived part of his speech as being "racist.' " . . .

Protip: empty barrel to a military man means you have no ammo in your gun and no reality in what you say.  . . . “That’s a racist term*, too. I’m thinking about that one. We looked it up in the dictionary because I had never heard of an empty barrel. And I don’t like to be dragged into something like that,” she said. “The only thing I want to be dragged into right now is getting back our girls who are the victims of Boko Haram in Nigeria.' ”
In her desire to have it be racism, she manufactures this term. Michelle Obama loved portraying herself as a victim on anything she could call racism.

“I am so sorry to hear about the whole situation. What a horrible thing, except that he’s an unbelievable hero,” Trump told her in the call about her husband Army Staff Sgt. Mark R. De Alencar, which The Washington Post released.
“Thank you. I really, really appreciated it,” she said. “I really do, sir.”
"Trump also told the widow if she is ever in Washington D.C. that she is welcome in the Oval Office." . . .

. . . "MSNBC host Lawrence O’Donnell said he was “stunned” by White House chief of staff John Kelly’s remarks about Democratic Rep. Frederica Wilson of Florida, suggesting that the former general was a product of a racist upbringing." . . .
Ugly: Trump-Obsessed Dems Shift Attacks to Gold Star Father and Four Star General John Kelly  . . . " 'Stunning and classless," writes an aghast Stephen Hayes.  "Good luck with that messaging," snarks Jonah Goldberg. " . . .
Bear in mind this is the party that chanted for victory for Ho Chi Minh. TD

As in "What About Bob?", Hillary Clinton Never, Ever Leaves

"You think she's gone?  She's not gone.  That's the whole point!  She's never gone! [We turn on the TV, and there's Hillary.]"

Peggy Ryan  "In the movie What About Bob, a needy psychiatric patient, Bob Wiley, stalks his psychiatrist, Dr. Leo Marvin.  Bob follows Dr. Marvin on his vacation, invades Dr. Marvin's family, shows up at dinner, spends the night, even co-opts the doctor's television interview.  Everywhere Dr. Marvin turns, Bob's there.  No hints, insults, or humiliation can loosen Bob's death grip on the doctor.

"Dr. Marvin finally loses it and throws Bob out, tells him to never come back.  He slams the door on Bob and then turns to his despondent family.  They're sad that Bob is gone.
"Dr. Leo Marvin: You think he's gone?  He's not gone.  That's the whole point!  He's never gone!  [Leo opens the door, and there's Bob.] " . . .

. . .
"But Hillary's not capable of shame or embarrassment.  No, she sprang back onto the scene with a new book, What Happened.  Then she was back on TV to promote her book, to comment on every national tragedy, paint Puerto Rico as Trump's Katrina, help Democrats push gun control after the Las Vegas massacre, sanction the NFL protest to our anthem.
"And now she's inserting herself in our ally's politics as well.  As Nigel Farage tweeted, "Hillary Clinton is part of the global elite that want to overturn Brexit. We will resist.' "

Hey, this could happen...

This "take a knee" shtick has long since become ridiculous. But now. . .

Legal Insurrection
"Because rejecting “the republic for which she stands” is the real message of the left"

All Democrats, if it need be said. TD

"The latest addition to the “this protest is not about America” leftist playbook is taking a knee for the Pledge of Allegiance.  Four members of the Ann Arbor city council took a knee during the saying of the pledge that opens their meetings.
Four Ann Arbor city council members chose to kneel during the Pledge of Allegiance at a meeting on Monday, Oct. 16.
Chip Smith, 5th Ward; Chuck Warpehoski, 5th Ward; Sumi Kailasapathy, 1st Ward; and Jason Frenzel, 1st Ward; moved in front of the council’s table, turned toward the flag and took a knee when it came time to recite the Pledge of Allegiance after the meeting was called to order.
Warpehoski said the move was an act of attention, concern and respect.
“I can’t speak to what is in each person’s heart, but for me to ‘take a knee’ is an act of attention, of concern, and of respect,” Warpehoski wrote on his website ahead of Monday’s meeting and also stated at the meeting. “And it is in that spirit that I take a knee at tonight’s City Council meeting: out of respect for the aspiration that we be a nation ‘with liberty and justice for all,’ with full attention that we fall short of that ideal in many ways, and with humble dedication to continue to work that the promise of the pledge may be fulfilled.”
During the meeting, Kailasapathy said she knelt during the Pledge to demonstrate her commitment to upholding democratic values.
“For me, taking a knee is also showing solidarity with the group of people who have been doing this at the national level,” she said.
. . .
"It’s not the only reason, or even a main reason, but it is not an insignificant factor.  [Hillary's] loss last November has somehow freed the left, they are deliberately and overtly attacking not only Trump and Republicans but the very fabric of our nation. And it’s not going unnoticed."

How “Me Too” Unfairly Maligns Men and Perpetuates Victimhood

Legal Insurrection
“ 'We must fight this nonexistent expectation!” is hardly a rallying cry for change."

. . . "Though it may be genuinely well-intentioned, “me too” unfairly maligns men and perpetuates victimhood in the worst ways. Telling only one side of the story, without proof, and without providing the accused party opportunity to defend themselves is hardly a pathway to progress.

"Similar to the campus kangaroo courts that try and punish men using nothing but (often) baseless accusations, “me too” implies there’s an abundance of nasty, anonymously assaulty men lurking around every corner. And it’s simply not true.

"Part of the problem lies in defining ‘sexual assault’. Unlike days of yore, sexual assault now could be anything from conversation that’s suggestive in nature all the way up to violent rape, depending on who you talk to. Unwanted jokes, being asked out on a date by someone with whom you’re not interested — any of these once commonplace occurrences could now be construed as sexual assault. When cat calls are viewed as tantamount to rape, nothing about this sexual assault conversation can or should be taken seriously.

"Whether intended or not, the end result is the blanket maligning of the entirety of maledom and the implication that everyone with a Y chromosome ought to repent for their original sin of being born male.

"It’s the ultimate man-shaming." . . .

"Being victimized is not a choice. Choosing a life of victimhood and leaning on past traumas as solely defining events is just that, a choice." . . .

Do reporters really care about empathy?

American Thinker  "Instead of spending a minute or two on something truly dangerous to the American people, actual Russian collusion, corruption, kickbacks and cover up of the sale of uranium reserves to the Russians, they spend hours on an unverified phone call of Trump. They are supposedly worried about his lack of empathy, according to a disputed account by Rep Frederica Wilson, who allegedly overheard parts of a condolence call the president placed to grieving soldier's widow.

"I don't recall one discussion about empathy on the news during Obama's eight years, but here are some true examples of a President's lack of empathy:
"On the night of 9/11/12 Americans were under attack in Libya. Instead of Obama
and Hillary actually lifting a finger to help them, they concocted a fictitious story about a video causing the attack instead of terrorism which they knew it was from the start. They even continued this blatantly false story when the bodies came home to Dover AFB and sent Susan Rice out to news programs to perpetuate a lie. They had to lie to protect their political power because Obama had been lying that terrorists were on the run and a terrorist attack would be inconvenient. Americans dying and the truth didn't matter, political power did.
"Trump has done more in nine months to clean up the Veterans Administration corruption and help veterans than Obama did in eight years. Are we to believe that reporters and Democrats all of a sudden have a great deal of concern about veterans?
"I do not recall Obama ever saying a word about people killed by illegal immigrant criminals in sanctuary cities -- or reporters caring that he didn’t have empathy.
"When an undercover video came out showing women from Planned Parenthood bragging about crunching and dismembering babies illegally for profit, where was the empathy? Instead of caring about the children, Democrats and reporters defended the abortion body parts sellers. Democrats went after the people taking the video instead of the people illegally selling the body parts for a profit. Normally reporters like undercover videos showing criminal activity but not when it goes against their agenda. How could anyone look at those women at Planned Parenthood and see how absolutely cold hearted they were?" . . .Full article.  By Jack Hellner
