What To Do With the Left After Their Coming Spanking › American Greatness

Beware hopes too high; anything short of expectations can be taken as a triumph for the left. TD

Conrad Black

The day is now not far off when wokeness, American self-hate, foreign appeasement, and the indulgence of criminal and corrupt organizations like Black Lives Matter will end.

"Even as the giant Potemkin village of Democratic Trump-hating self-righteousness crumbles week by week, the last gasp is audible: the grotesquely overstaffed January 6 committee investigating the events at the Capitol on that day last year is full of belligerent former prosecutors who, in interviews with the New York Times and others, acknowledge that they are pursuing their task as if they were after prominent alleged gangsters. The Congress has no power to indict and all it can do is claim to unearth facts that would justify an indictment from  Attorney General Merrick Garland. Garland claims to believe that parents concerned about critical race theory and other subjects taught to their children are a principal threat to public order in the United States. Though he is in lock-step with the far-Left policy agenda of the administration, even he might not be prepared to indict a former president on such a weak set of facts as this case presents.

"The FBI director, Christopher Wray, reported shortly after January 6, 2021 that there was no evidence connecting those who had trespassed and vandalized the Capitol with the Trump campaign. They’ve detained hundreds of alleged Capitol trespassers without trial for many months, presumably subjecting them to the customary American prosecutor’s interrogations designed to extort useful evidence with threats of indictments or release and immunity from perjury charges, (with reckless disregard for accuracy).

"The entire impetus to attack Trump is inspired by the desperate partisanship of a failed Democratic administration and Congress awaiting a severe electoral rebuke in November, and facing an array of apparently well-founded investigations themselves. The Trump-haters have been trying desperately to create the necessary ambiance of righteous unction; reputable commentators like George Will and Peggy Noonan refer to the incident at the Capitol as “1/6” to confer upon it the infamy of 9/11 and to confirm the George Will view that he and his staff were in physical danger on that particular January 6, even  though they were miles away from the Capitol. The even more lapidary Thomas Friedman at the New York Times is of the opinion that January 6, 2021 ranks with Pearl Harbor and 9/11, as well, of course, as the imaginary Russian influence on the 2016 presidential election that he endlessly touted.". . .

Slow Joe digs in against opening up US energy production to checkmate Russia

Is John Kerry behind all this?

Monica Showalter   "It's the easiest thing in the world: cut off Russia's oil earnings and watch its war against Ukraine collapse.

"A U.S. oil embargo on Russia would destroy its cash stream which is financing 30% of its government, including its attack on Ukraine.

"In a war, at least one you want to win, you cut off supply lines.  Grant and Sherman understood this.  But General Biden is a little different.  He wants to keep Putin getting that money until Bad America reforms to a green energy system to his liking.  He has a live war in front of him; he has the solution on the table; and instead of taking that solution, he sticks to his green energy "priority."

"Here's how bad it's gotten:

"Transferring the entire economy to unreliable green energy, number one, is never going to happen.  Scott Johnson at Power Line explained that clearly in 2020: it won't happen because there aren't enough rare earth minerals out there to create all the batteries and greenie retrofits, even if China would gladly sell to us, to get the job done.

"The Bidenites, though, are sticking to their pie-in-the-sky green energy dream even if it means continuing to bankroll Putin's war.  Psaki even called the whole idea of opening up America's domestic energy production to make our country energy-independent a "misdiagnosis."

"Other Democrats yakked about opening the Strategic Petroleum Reserve, which Joe has done before.  How'd that work out for him?". . .

Biden Handed over Intelligence to China on Ukraine, China Gave It to Russia

 Neon Nettle

"After one diplomatic exchange in December, U.S. officials got intelligence showing Beijing had shared the information with Moscow, telling the Russians that the United States was trying to sow discord — and that China would not try to impede Russian plans and actions," the report adds.

"Democrat Joe Biden has reportedly been handing U.S. intelligence to China regarding Russia's plans to invade Ukraine, which the Chinese Communist Party has been giving straight to Vladimir Putin, according to reports.

"Biden’s administration has been turning over intel on Ukraine to Communist China for months, The New York Times is reporting.

"Admin officials hoped to attempt to get China to convince Russia to not invade, according to the Times.

"However, the plan backfired after it emerged the Chinese regime has been funneling the intel to Russia to aid with their invasion". . .

Trump Blames Biden’s Weakness for Emboldening Russia

  National Review

. . ."Biden’s term has been marked by soaring inflation, supply shortages, exorbitant gas prices, illegal aliens flooding the country, spiking crime and lawlessness in cities — and foreign adversaries behaving aggressively because they do not fear or respect American leadership, Trump said.

“ 'China is threatening Taiwan. Russia is decimating Ukraine. Iran is on the cusp of a nuclear bomb,” Trump said. He went on to slam Biden for the reckless exit from Afghanistan. While public opinion always favored withdrawal, Biden had no escape plan, leaving a power void to be occupied by the Taliban, he said.

" “Joe Biden has turned calm into chaos, competence into incompetence, stability into anarchy, and security into catastrophe. The Russian attack on Ukraine is appalling. It is an outrage and catastrophe that should never have been allowed to occur. It never would have occurred,” Trump said.

"Touting his administration’s triumphs on energy independence via the Keystone XL pipeline, a secure border, and a presidential term without a single armed conflict overseas, Trump said Biden reversed all the progress that he made.

“ 'You could take the five worst presidents in American history and put them together and they would not have done the damage that Joe Biden and his administration has done in just a very short 13 months,” he said.

" Trump said the mayhem in Europe could have been avoided if the 2020 election hadn’t been rigged, a theory he has maintained since that loss.

“ 'Under our leadership, the world was a peaceful place because America was strong, and the perception of our country was perhaps like it had never been before. Powerful, cunning, and smart. We were a smart country. Now we are a stupid country. We always very simply put America first. That was the answer,” he said.' ". . .

True or not, the report on Biden is the scary part.

But the convoy is growing, as is the working-class contingent of the Republican Party, regardless of attempts by the corporate media to misrepresent both. Moreover, no amount of “insurrectionist” theater by United States Capitol Police and the Democrats will convince the public that these truckers are violent extremists. Presumably, there will be protestors on the mall Tuesday, but they won’t be from “The People’s Convoy.” This group of truckers will be in Missouri, expanding their convoy, when our embattled president reads his first SOTU script, hoping to convince a skeptical electorate that he has a clue. Those 7-foot fences and tactical vehicles can keep the people away from him, but they can’t conceal the truth.

John Kerry’s Dream War Is 1967 Star Trek TV Episode

If Putin had asked Kerry’s advice on how to invade Ukraine, Kerry would have advised using electric tanks (stopping once every 5 kilometers to recharge), helium balloons and bio-degradable bullets. Maybe he’ll draft a new set of Geneva Conventions….

The American Spectator | USA News and Politics     "On February 23, 1967, the 23rd Star Trek episode, “A Taste of Armageddon,” first aired on television. I saw it as a kid.

"Precisely 65 years later, on February 23, Russia invaded Ukraine. No doubt for the 23rd time.

"The irony could not have been lost on present day John Kerry, who surely found time to watch Star Trek in his Yale dorm room while scheming his political future. The viewing would prove formative for him (as it was for me, but in a different direction), as evidenced in his recent statements condemning the Russian invasion of Ukraine. Rather, not the invasion itself, but the presumed deleterious “climate change” effects brought on by the physical manner of the invasion. Not the thousands of war fatalities, not the dangerous destabilization of global power balances and world peace, but instead, the theoretical risk of global air temperature rising by, who knows?, as much as 0.000001 degree Fahrenheit.

"Oh why?, laments Monsieur Kerry, why oh why can’t wars be fought without using fossil fuels to power tanks and fighter jets? Why must we persist in using high power explosives? Why do refugees choose to dash away to Romania in comfy Boeing 747s instead of tromping 800 miles over frozen snow the way war refugees traditionally flee?

"Which brings us directly to the 23rd episode of the original Star Trek, “A Taste of Armageddon.' ” . . .

Biden's approval rating drops before his first State of the Union Address

Biden's approval rating drops before his first State of the Union Address (msn.com)

"According to a new poll, President Joe Biden's approval rating among Americans has hit an all-time low with growing frustration over inflation and the economy.

"The poll, conducted by ABC News and the Washington Post, found that just 37% of Americans currently approve of the president, with 55% disapproving.

"Biden's approval numbers are down 4% since November and 15% since April of 2021 when Biden had been in office for only four months, the poll found.

"The low poll numbers for Biden are giving Republicans an advantage going into the 2022 midterm election when the GOP will look to regain control of Congress, the poll released Sunday showed.

"The poll found that 54% of Americans think Republicans would better handle the economy, while only 35% believe Democrats would. As for who they want in control of Congress, 50% supported the GOP, with 40% backing Democrats.

"Those who responded said they think Republicans could act as a check on Biden and his policies better than Democrats could.". . .

“Today Russia attacked the entire territory of our state,” Zelensky said in a television address that honored Ukrainian forces. “And today our defenders have done a lot.”

“They defended almost the entire territory of Ukraine,” he continued. “Which suffered direct blows. They regain the one that the enemy managed to occupy.” . . .

Ukraine's Fate Is Rooted in a Tragic History - Michael Barone (jewishworldreview.com)

Similarly, former President Barack Obama, despite his ridicule of Mitt Romney's anti-Russia statements, was unable to stop Putin from annexing Crimea and effectively seizing Luhansk and Donetsk in 2014. Interestingly, the only president this century during whose term Putin hasn't seized territory was Donald Trump, a Putin pawn according to the Russian collusion hoax.. . .

There is plenty to criticize in Biden's stumbling performance. But Ukraine's unhappy situation is, once again, the product of much tragic history.

Ukraine's heroes aren't impressed with wretched Joe Biden

  American Thinker

Speaking on condition of anonymity, an official in the Ukrainian government blasted Joe Biden and Democrats, telling The Daily Wire  “If Democrats weren’t such pussies in foreign policy, this might not have happened.”

. . ." Zelenskyy obviously has to be cautious with Biden, of course, because his nation is literally under fire and he needs the U.S. to keep its signed-on-the-dotted-line treaty obligation to Ukraine signed during the Clinton years -- that if Ukraine would give up its nuclear weapons, the U.S. would defend its territorial integrity. Biden, of course, considers that a suggestion, not a contract, and is paying minimal lip service to the idea, deploying some kinds of military aid and money (which could easily land in the pockets of consultants instead of Ukrainians) instead of shutting Russia down and cutting off its oil cash. Slow Joe is now just belatedly jumping onto the European bandwagon and agreeing to some SWIFT restrictions on Russia, which make intra-bank transfers impossible. Bank runs at ATMs are reportedly starting in Russia as a result of that news. About time, and glad it happened.

"But for Ukraine, more is better. They needed that a week ago. They have to keep nudging Joe, and it's pretty obvious they don't like it

"Cautious as Zelenskyy is, it hasn't stopped him from some veiled digs at the White House, whose occupant is on vacation again.

"Yesterday, via Kyiv Independent, RedState and Fox News reported Zelenskyy saying this:". .

"A search of Biden and Zelenskyy at the site, though, did turn up some ugly-looking headlines in the run-up to the war:

Biden promises Zelensky there will be no agreements about Ukraine behind its back Jan. 3, 2022

US media: Bridget Brink to become ambassador to Ukraine Feb. 1, 2022 (Biden still hasn't picked an ambassador yet?)

Recall Joe Biden -"We simply cannot wait until after the 2024 presidential election."

For the good of the country, and the entire free world, it is time to start the process of replacing Joe Biden with a government of national unity that can steer our country through the crises that loom just ahead. This simply cannot wait until January 20, 2025.

The American Spectator   "It is time to schedule a recall election for both President Joe Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris. They are clearly in over their heads and incapable of governing. Their tepid response to the Russian invasion of Ukraine is only the latest example. (Did you see that the Russian stock market went UP by 14 percent after Biden announced his weak sanctions against Russia?).

Chip Jackson took much umbrage over some of the author's solutions:

Holy sheep dogs. This is one of the most far-fetched fantasies I have ever read in a "mainstream" (allegedly) Conservative publication and there are more than a few to compare it with. But not by much.

Mr. Elliot, you spout the 25th Amendment as the premise for Mr. Biden's removal then go on to recommend Mr. Clinton or Mr. Obama take the reins, yet conveniently forget that the 22nd Amendment explicitly forbids a president from serving more than eight years.
Secondly, and in typical RINO fashion, you go out of your way to say that Mr. Trump should not be the choice. The irony of that is that prior to this statement you go on a tear about the "will of the electorate" being the ones leading the charge for this parenthetical recall then propose thwarting the people's will of those who would WANT Mr. Trump back in office. Even more ironic in this drivel is that you don't say President Bush would be a better choice. I'd be careful with such a glaring omission lest ye risk your country club membership.

You will have no argument from me that the Biden Administration is an abject failure and embarrassment, but this scenario you've made up from whole cloth is positively moronic.

Don't you have a tee time scheduled?

. . ."Who in his or her right mind believes that Joe Biden is competent to lead the free world in these times of crisis, most of which he has caused? A majority of Americans now recognize that he is not up to the task. We cannot afford to wait until January 2025 to get him out of office. The people are supposed to be sovereign in America; it is time for us to assert our sovereignty and send a clear message to Biden that it is time for him to resign." . . .

A Guide to the Absolute Idiocy of Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez

The American Spectator; Excellent Pix   "Armed with a smartphone and a Twitter account, every day she makes national news by prating pure blather and blatant baloney, the latest drivel popping into her head. The media reports on her wherever she is, dutifully bannering her words front and center. In Texas, campaigning for a Democrat House candidate, she muses about turning blue a state that she does not understand, where Hispanics from Mexico, Guatemala, and other locations have been flocking to the GOP in major shifting voting patterns unlike her Puerto Rican base in the Bronx and Queens.

"Heckled during one campaign stop, she responds with incendiary anti-Semitic falsehoods aimed at awakening the woke to whom her Squad compatriots, Ilhan Omar and Rashida Tlaib, more frequently appeal: “I don’t believe that a child should be in a cage on our border, and I don’t believe a child should be in a cage in the West Bank.” Huh? Even Israel’s worst haters have never before alleged that they confine Arab children to cages. Israel’s borders do not teem with illegals who cannot immediately document their right to be present. She stumbled so shamefully because she perilously decided mid-speech to think quickly — not her forte. And then she blurted. That is her forte.

"When she does not make news by blurting verbal sewage and lies, magazines keep her spotlighted with cover features. Thus, she was in the news all week as the New Yorker devoted its February 14 cover to a lead interview with her, presenting her as “an insider now.” The writer first adulates her with hagiographic language: “Elected when she was twenty-nine, the youngest woman ever to serve in the House, [she] has proved herself an effective examiner in committee hearings and a master of social media. In other words, she offers both substance and flair, and this combination seems to drive her critics to the point of frenzied distraction.' ”. . . More...

"Her hatred of Israel is legion. She even cried on the House floor when Congress voted 420-9 to replenish defensive Iron Dome missiles that detonate Hamas terror rockets aimed at murdering Israeli civilians. Yet, when given the opportunity, she cannot explain her anti-Israel animus. Responding to PBS interviewer Margaret Hoover asking her to explain substantively why she is anti-Israel, we see the wires short-circuit again: Uh. Uh. Hmmm. Y’know, the … uh … settlements?? And then, with a laugh: “Y’know, I’m not the expert on geopolitics on this issue.' ”

Ukrainian President Zelensky Tells Russia to Pound Sand — and Hits Joe Biden's Impotence

Putin’s main achievement in the last 48 hours is making President Zelensky a global hero. His quote to Americans offering to evacuate him “I need ammunition, not a ride”.

RedState  . . ."Meanwhile, the other part of this equation is the Ukrainian relationship with the United States. On that front, Zelensky has offered criticism of Joe Biden’s leadership, levying a sharp rebuke of the US president’s relatively weak initial action to the invasion.

In a statement, Zelenskyy seemed to swipe U.S. President Biden and others who imposed sanctions against Russia, which he claims did little to deter Russian aggression.

“This morning we are defending our state alone. Like yesterday, the world’s most powerful forces are watching from afar,” he said, the Kyiv Independent reported.

He added: “Did yesterday’s sanctions convince Russia? We hear in our sky and see on our earth that this was not enough.”

"That rift escalated after Zelensky directly addressed urgings from the Biden administration for him to flee Ukraine instead of remaining to lead his nation’s defense. In a phrase that will no doubt become an iconic part of this entire saga, Ukraine’s president asserted, “I need ammunition, not a ride.'”. . .

US Freedom Convoy Trucker Left Stranded After Penske Corporation Turns Off Power Remotely to His Rental Truck

 Gateway Pundit

"Texas Trucker Jeff Sandberg was left stranded this week after Penske Corporation  turned off the power remotely to his truck.

"Sandberg was heading to Washington DC with the Freedom Convoy truckers.

"Penske shut down his vehicle on the road and later released a statement on how the company does not support the freedom protests.

"Sandberg’s truck was hauling “Let’s go Brandon!” and “People’s Convoy” signs.". . .

A Burkburnett man taking part in a national truck convoy protest found himself without a ride Friday.

Jeff Sandberg has been vocal in his support of the convoy on social media and was driving a rig bearing a banner covered in slogans.

“We’re just trying to show what the people who back us believe — and our own beliefs — of what our country needs to go back to,” Sandberg told the New York Times Wednesday.

By Thursday night, Sandberg was sidelined because the company he rented his truck from, Penske, shut down his truck remotely.

“Penske does not support the people’s convoy movement,” Sandberg said on a Facebook stream. “So, I’m in a situation where I’m not going to be able to continue on.”

The truckers’ convoy to Washington, D.C. mimics a similar convoy in Canada. The Canadian protest, which lasted nearly a month, resulted in nearly 200 arrests after truckers converged on the capital, Ottawa. The protests ended after Prime Minister Justin Trudeau invoked the nation’s Emergency Act, which gave authorities broad powers to end the protest.
