Oakland City Council's Bootlicking for Hamas: This Is Your Brain on Woke Progressivism

 Opinion (msn.com)

"Oakland has TikTok brain and it shows. A video went viral this week showing Oakland residents expressing strong support for Hamas during a resolution calling for a ceasefire in Hamas's war with Israel. After Jewish Councilmember Dan Kalb sought permission from the resolution's author, Councilmember Carroll Fife, to include a single-word condemnation of Hamas, the chamber erupted with disapproval from pro-Hamas activists. Kalb, a veteran progressive councilmember, was branded as an "old white racist" for his proposed amendment." . . .

. . .“The notion that this was a massacre of Jews is fabricated narrative,” one public attendee said of the attacks inside Israel. Other public speakers offered unconditional backing to Hamas. “I support the right of the Palestinian people to resist occupation, including through Hamas, the armed wing of the unified Palestinian resistance,” one woman said.

"Several speakers said that to condemn Hamas was racist or a form of white supremacy. “Calling Hamas a terrorist organization is ridiculous, racist and plays into genocidal propaganda,” said another." . . .

Ron DeSantis holds up map of feces in San Francisco during Gavin Newsom debate

Ron DeSantis holds up map of feces in San Francisco during Gavin Newsom debate (msn.com)   "As Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis and Cal. Gov. Gavin Newsom debated Thursday night on Fox News, the subject of homelessness in America was brought up.

“ 'We’ve gotten 68,000 people off the streets, close to 6000 encampments, we’ve got off the streets. We’ve also invested in unprecedented resources in reforming our behavioral health system,” Newsom said.

“ 'Ron has literally the worst mental health system in America, forgive me outside of Mississippi, and Texas.”

DeSantis then pulled out what he said was a map ”where they plot the human feces that are found on the streets of San Francisco.”

“This is a map of San Francisco. There’s a lot of plots on that,” DeSantis said.

“ 'You may be asking ‘what is that plotting?’ This is an app where they plot the human feces that are found on the streets of San Francisco. That is what has happened in one of the previous greatest cities this country has ever had.' ”

DeSantis Brings San Francisco ‘Poop Map’ to Debate with Newsom (msn.com)

. . ."DeSantis described the data as coming from "an app where they plot the human feces that are found on the streets of San Francisco, and you see how almost the whole thing is covered because that is what has happened in one of the previous greatest cities this country's ever had."

"He added: "And feces is now a fact of life."

"The data from DeSantis' map came from the app "Poop Map," which allows users to "log all the places you've pooped." A report from Curbed San Francisco showed that local authorities "believe that dogs are responsible for many of the incidents.' ” . . .

Chuck Schumer's Moment of Truth

Seth Mandel, Commentary Magazine    "Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer gave a fine speech on anti-Semitism today, expanding on a New York Times op-ed calling attention to the “normalization and intensifying of this rise in hate.” Many of the Americans calling for the destruction of the Jewish state “aren’t neo-Nazis or card-carrying Klan members or Islamist extremists,” Schumer said on the Senate floor this morning. “They’re in many cases people that most liberal Jewish Americans felt previously were their ideological fellow travelers.”

"Schumer’s speech contained the very important point that “from the river to the sea” is the most famous eliminationist slogan from Hamas’s charter. That can and should be seen as a rebuttal to Democratic Rep. Rashida Tlaib, who has echoed this call for genocide and then tried to lie about its meaning. Schumer also talked about the way anti-Semites call attention to Jewish success in society and then use that very success to turn others against the Jews. He did not shy away from Holocaust comparisons.

"He told a meaningful story about taking a radio with him to class in 1967 so he could listen to news updates during the Six-Day War, a time when he didn’t know if Israel would survive. And he correctly stated that holding Israel to a double standard is one definition of anti-Semitism—and that the world’s condemnation of the IDF for civilian casualties that are actually caused by Hamas is one such manifestation of that double standard.

"The words are powerful, and Schumer should be congratulated for them." . . .

How do they plan on assessing Israel’s compliance given Hamas’s proven tactic of inflating casualties and conflating soldiers and civilians?

Also Not The Bee: ‘Joe Biden is a good man’ essay makes it to publication

"He says that Biden is a good man, and may even be a great man, yet he gives no examples. Do great men hunt down their daughters in the shower? Do great men refuse to acknowledge their own grandchildren? Do great men raise crack-addicted tax cheats who can’t stop buying prostitutes? I didn’t think so."

Jack Hellner - American Thinker  "Repeating something over and over again does not make it true, and Brad Bannon’s “Joe Biden is a good man” essay at The Messenger is just plain embarrassing. As Bannon suggests in the title, “Democrats Have Much To Be Thankful For This Year” thanks to a “level-headed leader” at the helm. Yes, Bannon is being completely serious.

"Below are a few excerpts from Bannon’s campaign ad—oops—I mean, honest press piece, for Biden.

Excerpt 1:

Only history will determine whether the steps that Biden has taken to revitalize our economy and guarantee America’s prosperity in the future make him a great man — but in my view, he is unquestionably a good man. I see Trump as neither great nor good — ranking as our second worst president behind James Buchanan, according to U.S. News polling. Some of his own relatives have called him ‘vindictive, selfish and dangerous.’

"He says that Biden is a good man, and may even be a great man, yet he gives no examples. Do great men hunt down their daughters in the shower? Do great men refuse to acknowledge their own grandchildren? Do great men raise crack-addicted tax cheats who can’t stop buying prostitutes? I didn’t think so." . . .

I could go on and on, but the narrative holds true: most journalists are more than willing to prostitute themselves to keep Democrats in power, consequences be darned.

When The Dean Tore Down Posters Of Kidnapped Israelis

Rafael Medoff - The Lid (lidblog.com)

. . ."An incident of this nature occurred in Boston many years ago, but it sounds like something from today’s headlines–and its lessons are as relevant as ever.

"During the 1930s, several prominent American universities cultivated friendly ties with Nazi Germany. Prof. Stephen Norwood described in his book The Third Reich in the Ivory Tower how those schools invited Nazi representatives to speak on their campuses, participated in student exchange programs with Nazi-controlled universities, and sent delegates to Germany to take part in celebratory events at those institutions.

"The fact that German universities had purged their Jewish faculty members and hosted book burnings did not deter friendly overtures from schools such as Harvard, Columbia, and the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (M.I.T.)." . . .

"M.I.T. students were among the first to cheer the Hamas pogrom. On October 8—while 1,400 dead bodies still lay strewn throughout towns in southern Israel—the “M.I.T. Coalition Against Apartheid” declared that it “hold[s] the Israeli regime responsible for all unfolding violence.” The statement endorsed the right of the pogromists “to resist oppression,” that is, to slaughter the Jewish infants who, apparently, were oppressing them.

"Soon afterward, hundreds of M.I.T. students staged a pro-Hamas rally on campus. Among other slogans, they shouted “One solution: Intifada Revolution,” an apparent endorsement of Palestinian Arab terrorism against Israeli Jews.

"M.I.T. President Sally Kornbluth responded with an “even-handed” statement. Sure, the Hamas killings were “brutal,” she said, but “many innocent Palestinians” would also die. Yes, Jewish students say “they feel unsafe on our campus,” but “Palestinian students also fear being targeted.” And, of course, antisemitism is “corrosive,” but so is “anti-Arab and anti-Muslim hatred.”

Moskowitz Says Hamas 'Wants More Palestinians to Die' for Anti-Israel Propaganda · The Floridian (floridianpress.com)   . . . "Hamas did not just take Israelis hostage, but they are holding Palestinians hostage by using them as human shields in order to sell that propaganda around the world. They want more Palestinians to die, unfortunately, so they can feed that over social media," said Rep. Moskowitz, adding that placing priority on getting the hostages out "is definitely the path forward."

"At the same time, he stated, "We are going to either run out of hostages or it is clear Hamas does not know where they are. And we are going to back to how this started because Gaza cannot continue with Hamas in control."

"Host Joe Scarborough pointed out that President Biden has "privately" warned Israel to "not give Hamas what it wants, which is scenes of civilians being killed by Israeli bombs," asking Rep. Moskowitz if he felt the same way." . . .

Has the Left Finally Blown It?

American Judaism and upper-middle-class females have been crucial elements of the left-wing coalition for quite some time – a century or more as regards American Jews. Turning on them in the time-tested leftist manner suggests that the Left has decided to live dangerously, a trend that should be encouraged.

                                                           AfterMath - Home (terrellaftermath.com)

Has the Left Finally Blown It? - American Thinker  "This November marks the date when the mask was torn off to reveal the true face of the Left. The fact that they tore it off themselves makes it even better.

"This revelation of course involves Israel, the Gaza War, and the leftist anti-Semitism that has festered unacknowledged for generations. The poster girl for all this is Susan Sarandon.

"Sarandon has for decades been a high B-list actress, not anyone who could carry a production on her own like Angelina Jolie or Nicole Kidman, but nobody to kick aside, either. She’s made a decent flick here and there (I’m particularly partial to Atlantic City, one of Burt Lancaster’s last efforts), amid the standard run of trash, and particularly in her case, agitprop. Because Sarandon’s trademark schtick has been one she inherited from Jane Fonda, the “socially conscious” left-wing Hollywood harridan. (This goes all the way back. Her first role was in 1970s Joe, a truly demented late hippie-era effort that attempted to mimic the effect of Easy Rider without its insight.)

"Last week it turned around to bite her. Addressing a pro-Hamas rally while dressed like a bag lady, Sarandon made an obtuse, imbecilic, and unforgiveable remark concerning Jews and Muslims that doesn’t really bear repeating. The industry reacted swiftly. Within hours Sarandon was dumped by the United Talent Agency. This is a first. You can look as long as you like to find another leftie rabble-rouser discarded by Hollywood and you will not succeed. Let this be the first of many.

"What was going through her head? Don’t ask me. It’s difficult to believe that anybody living in 21st-century America could fail to recognize what was wrong with claiming that Jews have never suffered and somehow deserve to be flayed over the ongoing suicide of Hamas. Not to mention how stupid it was to say it out loud. Sarandon’s remark came after a lengthy series of savage anti-Semitic demos and riots on college campuses and elsewhere (which included at least one murder), culminating in a mob attack against the DNC itself, egged on by the demure and soft-spoken Rashida Tlaib. Little Sue evidently thought she had the green light to attack the Jews. She didn’t." . . .

Hamas torturers, Hamas lies, and Hamas’s useful idiots

We are getting clarity. The lip service is gone. The fakery is gone. The pretense is gone. The veil is lifted, whether amongst those in Gaza and the West Bank, in Europe, or here in America. At least we can see our enemy in all his ugliness.

Andrea Widburg - American Thinker  . . ."Officials at Israeli hospitals say hostages experienced poor nutritional health, and many with chronic diseases were denied medical treatment, causing serious health problems.

"Abuse, though, doesn’t have to be physical. What happened to 12-year-old Eitan Yahalomi demonstrates the truly unfathomable cruelty of the Hamas captors.

"Yahalomi had seen his father slaughtered before his eyes and then had been separated from his mother and sister, who had escaped. While in captivity, he was paraded before ordinary Gazan civilians who beat him. Once in the tunnels, Yahalomi, like the other children, was threatened with a rifle if he cried.

"But something even worse than that abuse happened to him. According to his aunt, Hamas forced Yahalomi (and, I’m sure, the other children) to watch endless films of Hamas’s attack within Israel:"

. . ."Moreover, you might have noticed that the one thing the Native Americans did not do was rape on their captives. That’s a purely Hamas gloss on the stone-age mentality.

Despite Hamas’s tremendous pride in what it has done, as well as the living evidence of the hostages it seized, those in America who make common cause with Hamas have engaged in a strange tactic: They are denying that October 7 ever happened. Or if they admit that it happened, they contend that the Israeli Army actually carried out the rape, torture, and slaughter on October 7:

Biden slammed for bragging he is bringing prices down - even though they are UP since he entered office: President launches bid to take credit despite the majority of Americans disapproving of his economic record

UK Daily Mail Online   "President Joe Biden on Monday touted his administration's success in bringing down the price of gas, groceries and airline tickets during the past year but received little thanks for his efforts.

"Republicans ridiculed his claims.

" 'FACT: Since Biden took office, airfare is up 21%, Thanksgiving dinner was up 25%, and gas prices are $0.86/gallon higher,' the Republican National Committee said on X, the platform formerly known as Twitter.

"It illustrates the difficulty Biden faces as he tries to sell what his administration believes is an economic good news story ahead of next year's general election.

"
Inflation may have slowed and some prices may have dropped since last year, but most prices are still higher than they were before the pandemic.

The essence of Hanson’s message is a reminder of how far the left went to stop Trump last time and that people should be prepared for them to do anything this time.

"It’s an ominous warning but it’s important to think ahead and be mentally prepared for anything, because that’s what is on the table." . . .

Deadspin Tried to Destroy a Kid for Wearing 'Blackface,' Then the Real Story Came Out

Deadspin Tried to Destroy a Kid for Wearing 'Blackface,' Then the Real Story Came Out – RedState

So what's the real story? Was this a malicious act of racism meant to demean and offend black people? In short, no. The real story is that the kid had his face painted black and red in support of his team.

"If you are one of the last people on earth who still requires proof that the press is full of objectively evil people, I come bearing gifts.

"The story starts with a young Kansas City Chiefs fan. I don't know what his name is, and I wouldn't share it if I did because it's irrelevant. What's relevant is that the sports and political commentary site Deadspin decided they needed to destroy him.

"What was the grave injustice that was perpetrated? According to Carron J. Phillips, who wrote the piece, the kid was seen wearing "blackface." I'd highly encourage you not to click the following link lest you reward the writer's tactics, but I'll provide it nonetheless. " . . .

The picture on the article is misleading. Other pictures of the child in question show that the other half of his face is painted red, black and red being the team's colors. twitter.com/shumate_shon/s…

. . ."Yes, a somewhat notable media outlet tried to take down a literal child because he painted his face in two different colors to cheer on his favorite NFL team. That's where we are as a society. Naturally, because again, the press is filled with objectively evil people, the writer of the piece doubled down.

For the idiots in my mentions who are treating this as some harmless act because the other side of his face was painted red, I could make the argument that it makes it even worse.

Y’all are the ones who hate Mexicans but wear sombreros on Cinco.@Deadspinhttps://t.co/MfoG8vArWs pic.twitter.com/oQTxhUeA00

"That guy being named "Carron" is just too perfect. Imagine being so miserable and desperate for clicks that you'd publicly doxx a child in order to accuse them of racism when you already knew they just had their face painted to represent their team. That's a special level of derangement." . . .

Israel and Gun Control

Israel and Gun Control - American Thinker

Stern feels that Biden is also too focused on protecting Hamas and civilian casualties, and that his behavior in pressuring Israel on how to prosecute the war is unforgivable. “He should not be trying to place any conditions, and try to hinder Israel in any way, and I’m definitely disappointed about that, but I’m not surprised.”

. . ."According to Stern, “almost nobody is allowed to own guns at all” in Israel. But most citizens enter the Israeli military at 18, and they are issued a rifle. Americans who enter the military are also issued rifles, but the difference is that American soldiers aren’t permitted to keep their rifles in their possession off base. “But in Israel it doesn’t work like that, in Israel, the soldiers usually leave their bases carrying their rifles with them,” says Stern. Upon discharge from the IDF, however, the rifle is taken from the Israeli soldier. And from the sounds of it, that soldier may never be able to even get a handgun, never mind a rifle, again. Images in the news recently of IDF soldiers carrying their weapons are contributing to public deception around the idea of “loosened” gun-control laws in Israel. “The problem is that people see these off-duty soldiers, very often who walk around in civilian clothes, carrying M16s on their back,” says Stern. “And the conclusion that outsiders come to, ‘oh look at that all these civilians in Israel are armed, they can just walk around lugging M16s on their back,’ and they see [Israel] as a gun utopia.”

"If you are worried about gun control in America, you would not want to be an Israeli citizen. There is no Second Amendment in Israel. In fact, the second law that the Israeli legislature passed in 1949 was the confiscation of all firearms and munitions. About 2% of private citizens in Israel own firearms, as compared to 30% of people in the United States. “Out of those 2%, those lucky few who do have a firearm license in Israel, it’s only good for one pistol, no rifles, no shotgun, just one measly pistol.”

Biden is the primary obstacle to Israeli victory

 Caroline B. Glick; JNS.org

Polling shows that the overwhelming majority of Americans support Israel in this war and want it to destroy Hamas; the overwhelming majority of lawmakers from both parties share that view.

"The time has come to discuss the Biden administration’s relationship with Israel. With each passing day, two things become obvious. First, Israel cannot fight the war without U.S. resupply of the Israel Defense Forces. As a consequence, Israel is beholden to the administration’s directives. And second, if Israel follows the Biden administration’s directives, it will lose the war.

"Israel’s dependence on the United States was stated bluntly by retired IDF Maj. General Yitzhak Brick in an interview earlier this week.

“All of our missiles, the ammunition, the precision-guided bombs, all the airplanes and bombs, it’s all from the U.S. The minute they turn off the tap, you can’t keep fighting. You have no capability. … Everyone understands that we can’t fight this war without the United States. Period.”

Brick went on to explain that President Joe Biden’s demand that Israel permit “humanitarian aid” to enter Gaza means that he is demanding that Israel keep Hamas fully supplied with food, water and fuel.

"His demand that Israel minimize Palestinian civilian casualties endangers IDF soldiers and renders the expansion of the ground offensive into central and southern Gaza, where the bulk of Hamas’s force is now located, almost impossible to carry out. Brick suggested various forms of long-term tunnel warfare and other suggestions for how the IDF may be able to defeat Hamas over time while operating within the constraints that Biden and his top advisors are dictating.

"It is hard to judge whether Brick’s suggestions are workable without access to situational intelligence about conditions on the ground in southern Gaza. At a minimum, it is clear that Biden’s preference for the lives of civilians in Gaza over the lives of IDF soldiers on the ground ensures that far more soldiers will be killed in the fighting than would otherwise. Three weeks ago, the administration began demanding that Israel limit (or cancel entirely) its pre-ground battle aerial bombings. Consequently, in the week that preceded this week’s “humanitarian pause,” the IDF’s battle losses were overwhelmingly the consequence of sniper fire from Hamas terrorists hiding in buildings that the air force did not destroy before the battles, due to U.S. pressure." . . .

Craven Election Pandering -

 Diann Russell (substack.com)

"Islamophobia gets top billing while antisemitism gets relegated to the generic “all forms of bigotry and hatred?” Really?"

"Over the weekend, Hamas cheerleader NBC News reported that President Biden’s full-throated support for Israel after the October 7 terrorist attacks has put him at odds with Arab and Muslim voters in Michigan who are none too happy that the guy they voted for in 2020 is siding with America’s ally rather than the Iranian-backed terrorists who slaughtered its people.

"Here Michigan Muslims helped elect Joe Biden, and he turns around and betrays them by condemning the side that butchered whole families, including children and the elderly, set them on fire, and chopped off their body parts.

"The nerve of him!

"According to NBC News, Biden won Michigan in 2020 due in part to the 65% of Muslims who voted for him over Donald Trump, which is significant since Michigan has the largest Muslim and Arab population of any state in the country.

"The message NBC News was sending to the White House was clear: You won’t win Michigan in 2024 if you condemn Hamas and express support for Israel.

"Gauging from the White House’s recent pronouncements, it appears Team Biden got the message loud and clear." . . .

Islamophobia gets top billing while antisemitism gets relegated to the generic “all forms of bigotry and hatred?” Really?  ("I give you my word as a Biden!")

Lithuania and the Nazis; American campuses and Hamas: Will the guilty be hunted down again?

Lithuania, [Universities], and Nazis:

History & Overview of the Righteous Gentiles (jewishvirtuallibrary.org)  . . ."Attitudes towards the Jews during the Holocaust mostly ranged from indifference to hostility. The mainstream watched as their former neighbors were rounded up and killed; some collaborated with the perpetrators; many benefited from the expropriation of the Jew's property.

"In a world of total moral collapse, there was a small minority who mustered extraordinary courage to uphold human values. These were the Righteous Among the Nations. They stand in stark contrast to the mainstream of indifference and hostility that prevailed during the Holocaust. Contrary to the general trend, these rescuers regarded the Jews as fellow human beings who came within the bounds of their universe of obligation." . . .

One must ask how many of these righteous can be found on American campuses and if their persecutors will be given any sort of justice.

Just as thousands of Lithuanians took part in Nazi concentration camps and the murder of Jews, so it seems many American students are equally part of the Hamas support system with their chants and assaults on those supporting Israel. Will there be more Simon Wiesenthals to hunt down and punish those who beheaded babies, massacred families, and destroyed peaceful communities? Will they stand accused of cheering with great relish and joy while American young people and their mentors joined in praise of their actions? An apt example is in the video below:

Muslim girl calls Jews "Nazis"   Ironic, wouldn't you say, considering the Nazi's mission was to wipe Jews off the face of the earth?

Comparing Republicans To Nazis—Who Started It? | Investor's Business Daily (investors.com)  . . ."How casually Democrats make Hitler-Nazi-fascist references to demean their political opponents is astonishing. By calling political opponents "fascists" because of policy disagreements, Democrats trivialize a regime responsible for exterminating 6 million Jews in a war that resulted in the deaths of over 50 million people." . . .

. . .""I find it hard to believe kids today are so desensitized to violence that when they see the strange convulsions of someone who's been shot, their first instinct is to laugh. If one of their friends was gunned down on the way home, would they stand there and burst into laughter at the way he/she died?"

"This Oakland students/"Schindler's List" disconnect is aided and abetted by leftists such as Gore, Bond and Burton who shout words like "Nazi" or "fascist" or "Hitler" at conservatives.

"And, no, it appears they have no shame."

Why the Left Will Cut Biden Loose

"After the Justice Brett Kavanaugh hearings, the nation was lectured that "women must be believed." But it was the Left who attacked former Biden aide Tara Reade who surfaced in 2016 to accuse then Senator Biden, her former boss, of sexually assaulting her."

Victor Davis Hanson (townhall.com)   "Republican pundits and conservative activists are debating whether they can win in 2024 with the successful Trump agenda, but without the controversial former President Donald Trump as their nominee.

" The Democrats have a similar, but far more serious dilemma with President Joe Biden as the Democratic Party's nominee in 2024.

"Unlike the Trump Administration's successful four years, Biden's tenure has been an utter disaster. There are no policy offsets to the personal liabilities and unpopularity of Biden himself.

"Biden's liabilities transcend his physical infirmities, his advanced age, and his seeming geometric rather than arithmetic rate of mental decline.

"Biden, moreover, proves daily that he is not a nice guy. His excesses, past and present, are precisely those the Left considers mortal sins.

Walking back Biden's absurdities has become the nonstop, tiresome task of many on the Left. As they face a midterm disaster in November, many no longer see any compensating reasons not to drop Biden.

"When the Republicans take the House of Representatives in 2022 there will be nonstop investigations of Hunter Biden's alleged tax avoidances, his possibly illegal work as an unregistered foreign agent, and Joe Biden's untaxed compensation he received from the Biden lobbying consortium.

"Consider also Biden's nastiness." . . .

He serially lies that he drove a semi-truck. He has not been to the Middle East 38 times. He never received an appointment to the U.S. Naval Academy. Nor was he a full professor at the University of Pennsylvania. The MAGA movement is not the "most extreme political organization in American history." In other words, Biden reveals the same fantasies and plagiarism that ended his 1988 and 2008 presidential campaigns. . . .

Woke Christmas Tree Farm in Virginia Posts Shameful Antisemitic Message on Welcome Sign

Leftists can't even let apple picking, hay rides, and Christmas tree shopping be enjoyable and family-friendly. They have to suck the fun out of absolutely everything because they want everyone to be as joyless as they are; . . .Why are people like this on TV often named "Joy"?

RedState  "From the Leftists Ruin Everything file: A Christmas tree farm in Northern Virginia felt this was the perfect season to blast an antisemitic message to customers and passers-by. Cox Farms, a popular destination for pumpkin pickers and Christmas tree shoppers in the D.C. area, put "Ceasefire Now" on their roadside welcome sign and accentuated the antisemitic display with a wooden watermelon

"The addition of the watermelon wasn't some folksy, farm-y touch, it was an obvious wink and a nod to the "from the river to the sea" crowd, who use the watermelon emoji to show their solidarity with Hamas. Nothing says "Let's celebrate the birth of the Christ child" like an anti-Jewish smear on display to the public.

"The owners of Cox Farm, who clearly faced blowback from the community for their unnecessarily political sign, took to Facebook on Thursday -- the day of giving thanks -- to double down on their hatred for Israel, explaining that they "are committed to fighting injustice and white supremacy." If you're confused, wait until you read the entire message:
