More on 9-11 and the response of liberals (Updated and link repaired)

Boo, Hillary!  From soon after Sept, 2001;  "Nobody would expect either of the Clintons to stand up and admit that they've deliberately endangered their country for personal gain. One might have hoped, however, that seeing thousands of innocent people murdered by terrorists would have made Senator Hillary eager to cooperate with the present administration, to do some of the things that she and her husband had declined or neglected to do. That's not what America saw, however, during President Bush's speech to a joint session of Congress on September 20th. Almost every member of either party was visibly enthusiastic in support of the president ... but not Hillary. The grimace that was fixed on the former First Lady's face made it clear that the woman who had hugged Mrs. Arafat could not bring herself to be an ally of a Republican president, even against the sworn enemies of the United States."

"And why by the way did it take Arabs to do what people here should have done a long time ago? ”  Ward Churchill  (pictured at right)  "I have included in this essay photos of clippings from the New York Times to illistrate the true American humanity of those that Prof. Churchill has defamed and slandered repeatedly. I have kept these papers since they were published and never had the heart or the courage to read them. For this post I at last read about those who were murdered on 911 and saw a clear common thread that ran through their lives."

Phyllis Chesler:  What to Say to the Totalitarian Left on 9/11/11The definitive take-down for all who blame America first.  "And let me ask them a question: Why are you publishing non-feminist and anti-feminist work in a feminist journal? Is it because the so-called feminist has been born in Tanzania, is a “South Asian” Muslim feminist “of color” and thus, can do no wrong because she is not “white”?"

How Harvard Remembered 9/11   "At Harvard, the theme was — you guessed it — “Islamophobia.” "

From BareNakedIslam:  Graphic and terrible (link repaired)

Michelle Malkin:  All the wrong 9/11 lessons  "Are your kids learning the right lessons about 9/11? Ten years after Osama bin Laden’s henchmen murdered thousands of innocents on American soil, too many children have been spoon-fed the thin gruel of progressive political correctness over the stiff antidote of truth." ....
"In second grade, her teachers read touchy-feely stories about peace and diversity to honor the 9/11 dead."....
"Yet, many of the same protectors of fragile elementary-school pupils can’t wait to teach them all the ins and outs of condoms, cross-dressers and crack addictions."  Emphasis added.

Truther post on Bush's visit to Booker Elementary  Good grief, is there nothing the left will not latch on to to discredit President Bush? Refer to the post about Rosie O'Donnell here.

Charles Krauthammer: The 9/11 ‘overreaction’? Nonsense.  "Our current difficulties and gloom are almost entirely economic in origin, the bitter fruit of misguided fiscal, regulatory and monetary policies that had nothing to do with 9/11. America’s current demoralization is not a result of the war on terror. On the contrary. The denigration of the war on terror is the result of our current demoralization, of retroactively reading today’s malaise into the real — and successful — history of our 9/11 response."

Documentary Shows How WTC Cross Brought Hope After 9/11 Tragedy  "The New York Times reports that David Silverman, president of American Atheists, wants the cross either removed from the museum or for there to be “equal representation.”
"“They can allow every religious position to put in a symbol of equal size and stature, or they can take it all out, but they don’t get to pick and choose,” Silverman said."

Bloomberg Defends Banning Clergy From 9/11 Memorial Service, Cites Separation of Church and State…  "And this is the same guy who has vigorously (to put it mildly) defended the construction of a mosque at Ground Zero."

Our Lord Himself declares in the Scriptures that He does not desire the worship of manmade icons or any likenesses of Himself. The cross can be one of those icons.
The real significance of the cross removal is that it vividly proclaims that America can no longer call itself a Christian nation-if it indeed ever could. We see now how all the foundations underpinning our nation's values and morals are being dismantled and the removal of the cross is but one more manifestation. TD
