Antifa rioters reap a bitter harvest in a once-placid Wisconsin town.

"A previous entry in this space, written after an active-duty Army sergeant moonlighting as an Uber driver in Austin shot and killed a “mostly peaceful” anti-police protester who pointed his rifle at the driver at close range, talked about the make-believe revolution that has been taking place on the streets of America’s worst-run cities this summer:

Was this a sad occurrence? Sure. It’s never a happy thing that a 28-year-old is gunned down on a city street in America.

Yet what happened to Garrett Foster was bound to happen to someone, because too many Americans, particularly among the participants in the make-believe revolution, haven’t learned a real lesson yet.

Which is that people get killed in a revolution.

Point a gun at the driver of a car you’re blocking in on a city street, after footage of drivers being pulled out of cars and beaten in similar circumstances is everywhere on the internet, and you will be one of the lives claimed in that revolution.

Stupid lives don’t matter. Not when those lives are risked so irresponsibly.

"But Austin didn’t stop the make-believe revolution. It continued. And when a police officer in Kenosha, Wisconsin, shot a 29-year-old black man named Jacob Blake after a rather bizarre incident in which Blake, a participant of some kind in a domestic dispute who was wanted in connection with another incident involving third-degree sexual assault, trespassing, and disorderly conduct, fought with police and then walked around the front of his car as he was being tased to no effect, and then reached into the driver’s side of the vehicle while a policeman attempted to restrain him by his shirt. At some point the incident escalated to Blake being shot seven times in the back; he’s now paralyzed from the waist down.

. . . "Entire city blocks have burned to the ground, and more than 30 local businesses in the once-peaceful town of 100,000 along Lake Michigan just north of the Illinois border have been destroyed." . . .

When CNN’s Don Lemon, who has done as much as anyone to justify and cheerlead the Black Lives Matter movement, is now putting on the brakes because, he says, public discontent with riots is beginning to show up in the presidential polls, it’s a sign things have gone too far.

 Craven Democrats invite violence:  "An army of lawyers descended on the Wisconsin city of Kenosha on Tuesday to prey on the family of Jacob Blake and fan the flames of mob violence.

"Sure enough, a few hours later, two people were shot dead in another night of rioting, arson and destruction, spurred on by politicians, lawyers and other faithless opportunists.

"Another Democrat-run American city suffering at the hands of the violent BLM-Antifa wing of the Democratic Party, which has been deputized to influence the outcome of the November election."

No Democratic leader called for calm. Instead they blamed Trump.Obama, the one man who could have made a difference, last week used his convention speech actually to praise “the young people who led us this summer … You can give our democracy new meaning … take it to a better place.”

"Democrats gave actor Billy Porter a featured spot at their national convention, showcasing him in a musical performance with Stephen Stills of “For What It’s Worth” basically changed into a Black Lives Matter homage.

"In it he has multiple visuals suggesting that the BLM is about peace and love, in keeping with the general overall gaslighting at the convention that everyone was just a “peaceful protester” obviously set upon by the evil President Donald Trump. Clearly, not at all about violent protests.

"Yikes. What an absolute pack of crazy. First, “white people” are “sucking the life out of humanity?” If anyone other than a Democratic-endorsed celebrity had said that, people would call it what it is: full-out racist statement against white people. The rest is delusional TDS in the extreme, and almost sounds like a threat to the president. How does he propose to remove Trump “right now?”

No one understands better than the Left that the way to fight perceived racism in America is with even stronger and more brazen racism.

Waking the Sleeping Giant

We’ve already seen in years past the New Black Panthers standing outside polling places with nightsticks and their trademark Angry Glare going completely unchecked by law enforcement.  We know that Antifa and BLM do not care about nor fear the law and are more than willing and able to bring the violence.

     "In recent weeks, not only have we seen some very large holes punched in the narrative of what happened to George Floyd, but we’ve also seen the very thin veil come off, as the “peaceful protests” by Black Lives Matter and Antifa rapidly devolved into perhaps the worst string of violent riots the country has ever seen.  As of this writing, the city of Portland, Oregon has been host to violent riots for 86 days straight -- nearly three months of chaos.  

     "As we all know, violence in the name of outrage (or really in the name of anything) is nothing new for the Left.  No one is quicker to protest violence by smashing your face with a brick than the tolerant, loving Left.  No one understands better than the Left that the way to fight perceived racism in America is with even stronger and more brazen racism.  No one -- not even L. Andrea Widburg  "The second night of the Republican convention has come and gone (and very successfully, too), but what should live forever is the article the New York Times wrote about the line-up of speakers for the evening.  It is a triumph of misdirection and fraud by omission.  It may well be the most perfect example ever of how the media functions: not to inform, but to mislead.

"The article, entitled "How to Watch the Republican National Convention," gives practical advice about how to find the convention on the internet and television.  Interestingly, it does not mention C-SPAN, which is proving to be a preferred venue for many conservative viewers.  What's really fascinating, though, is what the Times says and does not say about some of the speakers.

"The article introduces Pam Bondi, not just as a former Florida attorney general, but adds a couple of additional factoids: . . ."

"The article has a grossly misleading description for Nick Sandmann:

Nicholas Sandmann, a teenager from a Catholic high school in Kentucky who was involved in a confrontation with a Native American man at a protest last year.

"An uninformed person, and there are many, would read those words and believe that the Republicans are giving a speaking spot to a teenage racist who got into a fight with a Native American.  The truth is that Sandmann, because he wore a MAGA hat; was the victim of an activist set-up, was pilloried by a dishonest, biased, and complicit media; and is now making that same media pay through their collective noses." . . .

"The Democrats don't drop anti-Semites.  Instead, they have them speak at their convention, as they did with open anti-Semite Linda Sarsour.  Biden disavowed her, only to have his campaign apologize for that disavowal.  Nor have the Democrats disavowed Ilhan Omar, Rashida Tlaib, the Black Lives Matter movement, Al Sharpton, or any of the other anti-Semites at the heart of the party.  (Recall that when the Democrats were forced to address Omar's anti-Semitism, the best they could do was come up with an insipid statement condemning all sorts of bad thoughts.)
