Biden tells NASA engineer Indian Americans are ‘taking over the country’

The Madness of President Asterisk

NY Post   . . . "Biden has previously drawn criticism for eyebrow raising comments about Indian-Americans.

"He said in 2006, while a senator: “In Delaware, the largest growth of population is Indian Americans, moving from India. You cannot go to a 7-11 or a Dunkin’ Donuts unless you have a slight Indian accent. I’m not joking.”

"As a presidential candidate last year, Biden also struggled with controversial remarks about ethnic minorities.

"In May, Biden walked back comments telling voters they “ain’t black” if they supported a candidate other than him." . . .

As even his media apologists complain, Psaki promises Biden will do a presser -- but needs a few more weeks

The other aspect of Biden’s invisibility, his missing State of the Union speech, may be a matter of timing. Dementia often takes its worst toll in the evening, the so-called Sundowner Syndrome or Sundowner Effect.

Thomas Lifson  "The failure of a newly-elected president to face questions from the media for six-and-a-half weeks (and counting) is so weird that even CNN’s Brian Stelter is noting it.

There are many ways to measure an American president's accessibility. One way is by counting press conferences. Right now, by that count, President Biden looks invisible.

CNN White House reporter Kevin Liptak shared this note with colleagues on Wednesday: "As we await word on when President Biden will hold his first solo press conference, an analysis of the past 100 years shows he is behind his 15 most recent predecessors, who all held a solo press conference within 33 days of taking office." Liptak pored through this university database to confirm the data.

"Stelter is far from alone among Biden allies raising concerns. Tom Darnell of the Atlanta Journal-Constitution joined many conservatives in citing the worrisome cutoff of Biden’s video feedDarnell wrote:" . . .  You can watch it here.

Psaki excuses Biden’s lack of solo press conference, says he’s been too busy with ‘historic crises’
. . . " 'So we’re 45 days into the Biden presidency and he has yet to hold a presser. At this point in past presidencies, every president from Reagan had addressed reporters, some of them multiple times. So why the delay and when can we expect the president to hold a press conference?” she asked Psaki." .  .  .

. . . “I don't think this is President Biden saying, ‘I don't want to do this,’” she said. “I think it's those around him recognizing when he does speak, it doesn't always turn out so well, like calling Republicans ‘Neanderthals,’ as he did recently in the Oval Office.” . . .

Biden will hold his first full press conference by the 'end of the month', White House claims

President Joe Biden will hold his first presidential press conference by the end of the month, White House press secretary Jen Psaski said Friday. 'We look forward to holding a full press conference in the coming weeks before the end of the month,' Psaki told reporters at the press briefing. 'And we're working on setting a final date for that and as soon as we do we will let you all know.' Psaki was asked why Biden had delayed a full Q&A with journalists, bucking a tradition to do one in the early weeks of an administration, which has been around since the Reagan years.

Lt. Gen. Russel Honore recommends 24/7 'quick reaction force' of D.C. Guard to protect the Capitol after review – as Tucker Carlson brands Pelosi pick an ‘unhinged partisan’

Obama began turning America into a South American tin-pot republic and now Pelosi chooses a general who fits the part. TD

UK Daily Mail . . . "Pelosi ordered the review after the Jan. 6th riot and brought in retired Lt. Gen. Russsel Honore to oversee it.

"Among his recommendations are a 'quick reaction force,' known in military parlance as a QRF.

"The report calls for a 'QRF that permanently resides within the DC [National] Guard by reestablishing a military police battalion and staffing it with Active Guard Reserve troops who live in or near the city year round, perpetually on active duty,' according to a report by Fox News." . . .

. . . " 'Fox News host Tucker Carlson, a conservative commentator, ripped Honore on his prime-time program Thursday while describing the recommendation for a permanent force.

" 'Honoré is an unhinged partisan extremist, nuttier than anyone affiliated with QAnon.,' he inveighed. 'He was chosen by Nancy Pelosi precisely because of this. She knew that Honoré would justify a military takeover of Washington, and she was right,' he said.

"Many Republicans had already groused about Honore, brought in to salvage the response to Hurricane Katrina in 2005, after he said shortly after Jan. 6th that the former sergeants at arms may have been 'complicit.' He also tweeted days after the riot that Missouri Sen. Josh Hawley, the first senator to say he would challenge electoral votes in states where Trump was claiming fraud, 'should be run out of DC' and called him a 'little piece of s***''.

"Trump loyalist Rep. Matt Gaetz (R-Fla.) has also gone after Honore publicly, tweeting that Pelosi 'hired a bigot to hunt MAGA.'

"Gaetz and other Trump loyalists on the House Judiciary Committee wrote Pelosi to call some of Honore's public comments 'deeply offensive.'

"Immediately after the attack he accused Capitol police of have 'allowed their buddies' into the building. He also said of gun-toting Rep. Lauren Boebert (R-Colo.): authorities should 'put her stupid a** on the no-fly list.' " . . .

Legal Flatulence? Eric Swalwell Sues Donald Trump and Allies over Capital Riots

thefederalistpapers.org
Breitbart  "Ex-House impeachment manager Eric Swalwell (D-CA) confirmed Friday he will sue former President Donald Trump, his son Donald Trump Jr., Rudy Giuliani and Republican Rep. Mo Brooks in a second major lawsuit seeking to hold Trump and his allies accountable for the attack on the U.S. Capitol on January 6.

"Swalwell’s action follows a similar suit filed last month by Rep. Bennie Thompson against Trump, Giuliani and the Oath Keepers and Proud Boys groups.

How does this POS Swallwell(sp) get to sleep with Chinese spies, keep his job, AND get to sue a former President who actually did his job...and did it better than any president in living memory. . . .

Fox News CEO Says Network Will Be Biden’s “Loyal Opposition”

Hot Air

"Fox News Channel CEO Lachlan Murdoch is pledging that the network will be Biden’s “loyal opposition”. He candidly admitted that the focus of opposition to the new administration will boost the cable news network’s ratings.

"Murdoch addressed a Morgan Stanley conference on Thursday and said the network will hold President Biden accountable. Murdoch hopes that by using the model of MSNBC and its non-stop opposition to everything during the Trump administration, Fox will lure back viewers who have left for more conservative news outlets. He describes it as the network’s “job”.

“The main beneficiary of the Trump administration from a ratings point of view was MSNBC … and that’s because they were the loyal opposition,” Murdoch said of the rival cable network. “That’s what our job is now with the Biden administration, and you’ll see our ratings really improve from here.”

"Fox took a hit in the rating war between competing news networks after the November presidential election. Many Trump loyalists criticized the move by Fox’s political team to put Arizona results in the Biden column as premature. Almost immediately, the call went out for the loyalists to switch over to either Newsmax or OAN, both very Trump-friendly cable news networks. Trump himself suggested that his supporters make the switch in their news viewing habits." . . .
