'An albatross round his neck': This phrase refers to lines from the poem The Rime of the Ancient Mariner by Samuel Taylor Coleridge, in which the eponymous mariner, who shoots an albatross, is obliged to carry the burden of the bird hung around his neck as a punishment for and reminder of his ill deed.

We must fear the left and all their spawn: As I said above, the left has entered a strange place. They are finally admitting that most of what they believe and do—especially in public office—is self centered and focused. The corruption, the sex, the drugs, the lies, even abuse: it’s ok to them if it serves their purpose. They are betting that you won’t care in 2024.
