"In the mid-2000s, far left activist Stoney Cooks, served as Sheila Jackson-Lee’s Chief of Staff and Administrative Assistant.
"In 1967, Cooks was one of forty-one Americans who traveled to communist Czechoslovakia to meet with representatives of the North Vietnamese communist government and the Viet Cong.
"The American delegation included members of Students for a Democratic Society and other leftist groups. According to one participant, the meeting had been initiated by the North Vietnamese and the Americans “were expected not only to oppose the war in Vietnam but also to favor, on balance, an NLF (National Liberation Front) victory.”

Hillary’s incoherence   ... "Going further, Clinton declared herself “personally skeptical that the Iranians would follow through and deliver” if an agreement were reached.
"At the same time, Clinton said she supports the Obama administration’s negotiations with Iran. And she praised John Kerry’s efforts. Clinton believes that the U.S. should “give space of diplomacy to work” and should not impose new unilateral sanctions on Iran. She is nothing if not cliche-ridden."

Doris Day death hoax spreads on Facebook

Video: Doris Day singing LIVE with the band of Les Brown early 40's. Black and white clip.

"News of actress Doris Day’s death spread quickly earlier this week causing concern among fans across the world. However the March 2014 report has now been confirmed as a complete hoax and just the latest in a string of fake celebrity death reports. Thankfully, the actress best known for her hit song Sentimental Journey is alive and well.
....
"Doris Day Death Hoax Dismissed Since Actress Is ‘Alive And Well’

"On Wednesday (March 19) the actress' reps officially confirmed that Doris Day is not dead. “She joins the long list of celebrities who have been victimized by this hoax. She's still alive and well, stop believing what you see on the Internet,” they said.
"Some fans have expressed anger at the fake report saying it was reckless, distressing and hurtful to fans of the much loved actress. Others say this shows her extreme popularity across the globe."

Day showed herself to be an accomplished comedic actress with movies such as:
From Wikipedia   "One of the roles she turned down was that of "Mrs. Robinson" in The Graduate, a role that eventually went to Anne Bancroft. In her published memoirs, Day said that she had rejected the part on moral grounds; she found the script "vulgar and offensive.' "
Well, she would kiss, but her kisses never looked as if she was swallowing the entire head of her costar.
Left: Day in publicity photo for Midnight Lace; another of her serious roles that showed her to be an excellent dramatic actress.

This car wash scene in "Move Over, Darling" showed Ms. Day would do anything except sex scenes for her roles

Young People Don't Change-- Neither Does the N.Y. Times

"Let me begin by saying that I think the only issue in the 2014 election should be Obamacare. In fact, that should be the only issue in every election until it's repealed.

"I also think all Republican candidates should be trained with shock collars and cattle prods to automatically respond, upon hearing some combination of the words "abortion," "rape" and "incest": "Yes, of course there should be exceptions in the case of rape or incest, and I also support giving rapists the death penalty, unlike my Democratic opponent, who wants to give rapists the right to vote. Now, back to what I was saying about Obamacare ...' "

America under Obama and these Democrats: we shake in fear while our enemies laugh at us

'Most transparent' White House ever rewrote the FOIA to suppress politically sensitive docs
via Memeorandum    "The rewrite came in an April 15, 2009, memo from then-White House Counsel Greg Craig instructing the executive branch to let White House officials review any documents sought by FOIA requestors that involved "White House equities."

That phrase is nowhere to be found in the FOIA, yet the Obama White House effectively amended the law to create a new exception to justify keeping public documents locked away from the public."

The Devious Secret of Obamacare  ... "First, a little background. Bill Hobson is not my real name. My spouse was concerned that, if I used my real name, the IRS would come after us. A few years ago I would have considered such thoughts paranoid. Now, under Obama's IRS, I suspect that she might be right."  (Unlike the Russians, this writer does fear our government under Pelosi, Reid and Obama's Democrats)
....
"Through much of this process I've thought about the Georgetown law student who said that tearing apart what was, arguably, the world's best health-care system and replacing it with Obamacare was necessary because she needed her birth control pills paid for, since -- she claimed -- it was a women's health issue."

The world seems to be indeed losing respect for President Obama, but worse yet, it has to lose all respect for the American people who voted him into office not once, but twice. TD

The world as it is when the US gives up all her authority and responsibility

Republicans on Capitol Hill went on TV Tuesday and called Vladimir Putin's expansion policy something no one's seen since Adolf Hitler. For goodness sake, they know he is nothing like Hitler. He only annexed the Crimea, it's not like he made us buy health insurance. Argus Hamilton
WHAT'S NEEDED IS NOT A SPECIFIC MOVE ON THE CHESSBOARD, BUT A DIFFERENT PLAYER    "... what he is doing as President of the United States – hollowing out the armed forces, cashiering our most experienced and successful combat commanders, kowtowing to Iran, Russia, China, and Al Qaeda, crippling the American economy – is actually rather bold."
Pictured: the President and some of his voters:

WaPo: Obama doesn’t grasp Putin’s Eurasian ambitions   "It’s necessary, however, to take some of what Mr. Putin said seriously, because of the implicit threat it poses to European and global security. Mr. Putin advanced a radical and dangerous argument: that the collapse of the Soviet Union left “the Russian nation” as “one of the biggest, if not the biggest ethnic group in the world to be divided by borders.” That, he suggested, gave Moscow the right to intervene in Crimea, and, by extension, anywhere it considers ethnic Russians or their culture to be threatened."

We cannot let the trite comparisons with Germany of the 1930-40s inhibit us from making use of the wisdom and experience learned the hard way from the actions of dictators bent on conquest and the appeasement by free nations intimidated by their left at home.
Hitler's excuse for invading the following countries was based on protecting ethnic Germans living there: Austria, Czechoslovakia, the Sudetenland, western Poland; all to restore a "Greater Germany", having these absorbed Germans within it. The rest of Hitler's conquests were to give these Germans more room to live and farm.
Then, as now, any effort by free nations to resist the conquerors was met by cries of "warmonger!" promulgated by the left (the Pete Seegers and the Bruce Springsteens of that day) and led by communists. The Tunnel Dweller

If the U.S. doesn't lead, the strongmen win. For them it's easier.    "This moment is not about Barack Obama. By now we know about him. This is about Vladimir Putin and the self-delusions of Western nations and their famous "fatigue." Vladimir Putin is teaching the West and especially the United States that fatigue is not an option."  Daniel Henninger, WSJ

Romney: The Price of Failed Leadership

"The President's failure to act when action was possible has diminished respect for the U.S. and made troubles worse."
With actions like the Eastern Europe defense systems he cancelled and the apology video to Iran back in 2009, Mr. Obama looks to me like the kid who hands his lunch money to the school bully as soon as he gets to school.

Mitt Romney in the Wall Street Journal    ..."President Obama and Secretary of State Clinton traveled the world in pursuit of their promise to reset relations and to build friendships across the globe. Their failure has been painfully evident: It is hard to name even a single country that has more respect and admiration for America today than when President Obama took office, and now Russia is in Ukraine. Part of their failure, I submit, is due to their failure to act when action was possible, and needed.

"A chastened president and Secretary of State Kerry, a year into his job, can yet succeed, and for the country's sake, must succeed. Timing is of the essence."

"In response to Crimea's fixed and illegal "election" (in which there were more pro-Russian votes than actual voters) and Vladimir Putin's subsequent declaration that Crimea is now an independent state, a furious Barack Obama unleashed "the most comprehensive set of sanctions since the Cold War" against Russia.

"And Russia is laughing its ass off.

"Obama's sanctions single out only a handful of individuals, several of whom took to Twitter to openly mock Mr. Obama as an ineffectual jackass. The president's actions were, in the always succinct and wonderful words of Charles Krauthammer, "preposterous" and "a humiliating response."

"But this is nothing new, as Mitt "Why The Hell Didn't We Elect Him?" Romney points out in a scathing Wall Street Journal article, noting that Barry's inaction and inattention to world matters has devastatingly screwed things up in North Korea, Iran, Afghanistan, Iraq, Syria, Libya, Ukraine, and Russia. Although, on the plus side, our relations with Mexico will remain good as long as we leave our borders open and keep giving guns to their drug cartels.

"Sadly, for international friends and foes, real presidential leadership from the United States has simply disappeared from the world's radar."
