Five Quick Things: The Most Shamefully Dishonest Campaign in Political History

                                                                   AF Branco

The American Spectator  "Did you happen to see, by any chance, the interview Bret Baier did on Fox News with a soy-eater named T.J. Ducklo, who serves as the national press spokesman for the Joe Biden campaign?

"If you didn’t, you really missed out, because it was pretty destructive. And with that, we’ll launch into our Five Quick Things, which all fall under the category of evidence that the Biden campaign is the most shameless pack of liars ever unleashed on the American people.

"This is by no means whatsoever an exhaustive list. It’s simply the first five things that came to mind. We could easily come up with 25 more. You’re welcome to put your own nominations into the comment thread below." Outline of the article:

1. Joe Biden never opposed the China travel ban.

2. Biden wouldn’t really end fracking. Honest!

3. It’s really Trump who’s pushing those riots in Democrat-run cities, folks.

4. Mask mandate? Who said anything about a mask mandate?

5. Whaddya mean, defunding the police? Trump is the one who wants to do that!. . .

"Here’s the problem, Joe. The cops themselves, the ones who follow this most, have adopted the old Ron Burgundy saying.

“I don’t believe you.”

"Of course they don’t. It’s impossible to believe this guy, because if you believe him about anything he says, he’ll turn around and say the exact opposite before your very eyes.

"That’s what you get when you’ve lied all your life even before you lost your mind. He’s a liar run by liars, and the only thing you can trust about Biden is that he’ll say absolutely anything in an effort to swindle the country into giving him and his handlers power over our lives.

"Let’s call that a bad idea and lay the biggest electoral smackdown on Biden any modern major-party candidate has ever suffered." . . .

Mere ‘Christianity’: How Social Justice Is Corrupting the Faith

... As a political ideology, Social Justice is totalitarian. It cannot tolerate the presence of dissent or opposition and is never slow to play the censor when and wherever it achieves power, eliminating whatever it finds “problematic.” The ceaseless proliferation of outrage and grievances, easily observable in online cancel culture, is not a bug but a feature.  ...
                                                               Flag and Cross

The American Spectator  "Even during a season of numerous tectonic shifts in American life, one that deserves special note is the massive leftward political tilt that has occurred among many Christians. People who just a few months ago were filling their social media accounts with photos of their children, cooking recipes, and inspirational Bible verses now voice some of the most radical left-wing talking points about gender, “privilege,” and “Whiteness.” Pastors promote the work of Ibram X. Kendi and Robin DiAngelo as if they were sacrosanct; post long, progressive screeds to their blogs and social media accounts; and insinuate that those who disagree are guilty of white supremacy. Christianity Today publishes articles that bemoan the fact that Christianity is not central to the activist movements going on in the streets and is instead “more like an awkward extra appendage to progressivism than its beating heart.” Dan Cathy, the outspokenly Christian CEO of Chick-fil-A, suggests that whites should shine the shoes of black people out of a sense of racial guilt. Groups of white Christians are filmed bowing down before their black church members to ask for forgiveness for the sin of “systematic racism.” As if some switch had been flipped, a huge portion of the professing Christians are suddenly parroting the most extreme views of what was, until only yesterday, the fringe left.

"Those Christians who do so rarely, if ever, understand how specious this movement’s arguments are or how they manipulate language by loading familiar words with entire orthodoxies. (For example, isn’t it interesting that words as well as silence are now routinely described as “violence,” but looting and setting fire to buildings isn’t?) Nor are they aware of how radical the agenda is. “Black lives matter” is an indisputably true statement, and there are legitimate causes for concern when it comes to policing, but why, for instance, does the official Black Lives Matter website have so many references to transgenderism? Why are there exhortations to “dismantle cisgender privilege” and “disrupt the Western-prescribed nuclear family”? Why all this talk of fostering a “queer-affirming network” and freeing themselves from “the tight grip of heteronormative thinking”? Why is there video footage of BLM co-founder Patrisse Cullors, calling herself a “trained Marxist”? Does the average Christian supporter of BLM understand this language?" . . .

"A National Pity Party"...Michelle Deserves Pity, but the Rest of Us Deserve More

Michelle passes her resentments on to the graduating classes she addresses. TD

Mark DeVine   . . . "Michelle is a product of the "infantilization" of black Americans John McWhorter so incisively warns of.  The upshot of McWhorter's contention is that a victimhood culture flourishes among blacks that inhibits the maturity of blacks or people of any color who internalize a debilitating "blame others" and "depend upon others" ethos.  "White people don't even see us!"  What power over herself Michelle cedes to whites.  And what bitterness and blame she harbors and feeds within her soul.

"According to McWhorter and other un-woke blacks, this infantilization was nurtured by the post-MLK civil rights leadership in cahoots with a Democrat Party anxious to win black votes by posing as their protectors and providers and by a nation of whites desperate to dissociate from racism.  Infantilization inhibits the cultivation of that one adult psychic instinct Shelby Steele insists is uniquely necessary to human flourishing in America — taking responsibility for oneself."

. . .   "Pity for Michelle?  Absolutely.  But pity a-plenty also for any family, community, or nation increasingly populated by Michelle-like, race-obsessed, infantilized sufferers.

"Widespread societal infantilization produces more like Michelle who seek shelter from the racist storm and succor for their racist-inflicted wounds in little enclaves inhabited by those similarly wounded who look and think like them.

"Others, however, seek release in collective tantrums bent on rock-throwing and building-burning.  They spit into the black and brown faces of police, screaming, "You're a racist"; kick in the skull of a white man attempting to rescue a man from the mob; and assassinate a black American life-long Democrat who decided he would vote Trump come November.  Michelle has no corner on pity these days.  Where infantilization takes hold, occasions for pity abound indeed.  But unlike Michelle and her husband, no island mansion hideaway beckons to which the rest of us might repair."

Reed Hastings praised with softball interview in light of backlash

Netflix CEO Reed Hastings appeared on CCN on Thursday but was not asked a single question regarding the streaming platform’s controversial movie “Cuties," which has been accused of legitimizing pedophilia.

"Poppy Harlow of “CNN Newsroom” dodged any questions that may have placed Netflix in a bad light, and instead praising the platform for its diversity initiatives.

"But she notably failed to address the elephant in the room, “Cuties,” which caused outrage worldwide from both left and right.

""CNN Newsroom co-anchor Poppy Harlow gave Netflix co-CEO Reed Hastings an almost entirely softball interview,” reported Newsbusters.

“She even found time to praise the company for being ahead of its competitors in ‘diversity’ programming and leadership.” . . .

Gallup: Public Favorability Towards The U.S. Sports Industry Has Collapsed

The Federalist

"Gallup data out Tuesday shows public devotion to America’s great cultural pastimes has collapsed in the last year as political turmoil has infected what used to be an escape for millions of Americans.

"According to Gallup, the sports industry now boasts a negative image among U.S. adults: 30 percent see the sports industry positively, compared to 40 percent reporting a negative image. This year’s survey illustrates a 30 percent decline from American views on the sports industry a year ago, when the corporate sports enjoyed a net positive 20 percent rating, with 45 percent of Americans reporting a favorable opinion compared to 25 percent who said otherwise." . . .

NFL Opens Season By Honoring Black National Anthem, Disrespecting Star-Spangled Banner  . . . "Before the start of the game the crowd was told to stand for a moment of silence and racial equality.

"Instead, many in the crowd jeered and booed — as any red-blooded, patriotic American should’ve done." . . .

Police Just Arrested The Staffer For Oregon’s Top Democrat at Violent Portland Riot

Wayne Dupree   "When we say the Dems "own" these riots, we're not joking. You don’t see any conservative lawmakers or their staff being arrested at riots, do you?"

"So much so, that Oregon’s top Dem just saw her legislative director arrested at a violent riot…for obstructing the police.

"How peaceful and patriotic, right?

"Here’s her mug shot:"

. . . "But don’t think for one minute that this staffer will be getting in trouble.

No way.

"As a matter of fact, her boss, the Speaker of the House, recently denounced the Portland police in a letter.

"So that means, this rioter will probably be getting a promotion and a raise."
