"Donald Trump currently seems untouchable. Leftists (aka Democrats) and RINOS (aka Vichy Republicans) cannot understand why. After all, even those who love Trump can’t deny that he has his flaws. Politically, he trusted the wrong people, he failed to tame the swamp, he gave too much power to Fauci and too much protection to the drug companies and, possibly worst of all, he failed to restore the rule of law. These are big and consequential flaws. At a personal level, his fighting spirit has him picking fights when discretion would be wiser, and his speaking style, at least for me, is grating.
If you’re a conservative but can’t stomach Trump, DeSantis and Vivek seem like perfect options. DeSantis is a proven leader and a conservative one. After a brief flirtation with lockdowns, he realized that this was the wrong tactic and brought liberty and sanity to Florida. He’s fought for parents’ rights in the schools and for children’s safety and normalcy across Florida. He’s truly pro-life. He’s also an extremely able administrator and, for those who keep saying he’s a fake, he was one of the founders of the Freedom Caucus in Congress. I like him and would happily vote for him.
"Vivek, unlike DeSantis, is an unknown quantity in politics. However, he’s saying things that need to be said and saying them without backing down. Indeed, here are his truths, and we all know that they are, indeed, true:
- God is real.
- There are two genders.
- Human flourishing requires fossil fuels.
- Reverse racism is racism.
- An open border is no border.
- Parents determine the education of their children.
- The nuclear family is the greatest form of governance known to mankind.
- Capitalism lifts people up from poverty.
- There are three branches of the U.S. government, not four.
- The U.S. Constitution is the strongest guarantor of freedoms in history.
"I would vote for either man in a heartbeat, and most conservatives should, too, if either one tops the ballot. Based upon what I know about them, both would be competent presidents and good antidotes to the travesty that is the Biden administration." . . .
