U.S. women’s soccer blasted for anthem stance

U.S. women’s soccer blasted for anthem stance (msn.com)

"The United States Women’s National Team started off the 2023 Women’s World Cup with a 3-0 win over Vietnam. But they also created controversy over their national anthem stance in the process. During the pre-match ceremony, the United States national anthem played over the stadium speakers in Auckland, New Zealand.

"But as it played, the majority of the players on the team chose not to sing the national anthem or put their right hands over their hearts for the playing of the song. A Newsweek report found that most of the U.S. women’s soccer team remained silent during the national anthem, with their fists behind their backs. Only five players placed their hands over their hearts, and only three of the starting 11 sang along.

"Because of this, the women’s team has been subject to criticism and has drawn the ire of many in the media, including Megyn Kelly, who ripped their actions as “disgusting.” Kelly addressed this on her SiriusXM’s The Megyn Kelly Show on Monday and absolutely tore into the team." . . .

Tom Brady delivers message to U.S. women’s soccer team - pennlive.com

FOX Soccer on Twitter: " FOR THE FIRST TIME EVER, VIETNAM'S NATIONAL ANTHEM IS PLAYED AT THE FIFA WOMEN'S WORLD CUP! We gave them what they wanted: Democrat-controlled government, Biden as President; open borders to all, good and bad; why do they still make a production out of their self-proclaimed distaste for this nation? TD

"Reason #242 why nobody wants to watch U.S. female soccer; most players on the team hate their own country. If you hate your own country so much, why not renounce your citizenship and move elsewhere? Loving one’s country goes beyond politics and social issues, a fact sorely missed by these narcissistic activists."

"We were rooting for Vietnam. Sorry they lost."

. . ."This isn’t necessarily a new decision, either. Several players chose to remain silent during the national anthem in 2019 as superstar Megan Rapinoe told Yahoo! Sports that she was probably never going to sing the national anthem again due to racial injustice and systematic oppression in the United States." . . .

The Bidens' German Shepherd 'is a one-dog crime wave'

 Twitchy

"After biting people, Major was sent away like an unwanted grandchild."

"A lot of people seemed relieved that President Joe Biden was bringing a dog back to the White House after Donald Trump and his abnormal four-year term without any pets. You can't trust a man who doesn't have a dog, right?

"The first dog was named Major, and he was a major problem. After biting people, Major was sent away like an unwanted grandchild.

"Now the Bidens have Commander, but the New York Post reports that Commander has sent at least one person to the hospital for a bite. The Secret Service seems to be the preferred snack of the Biden dogs." . . .

A puzzling suggestion from Mitt Romney -

 American Thinker

. . ."Mr. Romney concluded his puzzling suggestion with this statement, in part:

Our party and our country need a nominee with character driven  by something greater than revenge and ego....

"If the senator were truly a man of principle, not personal pique, he would recognize that former president Trump has, all along, been driven by dedication to the well-being of the American people -- not an entrenched oligarchy, and is opposed by a political force motivated by revenge -- and greed.  How many millions of tax dollars are to be expended by partisan prosecutions intent on preventing the American people from choosing their next president -- $25 million, $40 million?

"Sen. Romney's purposeful obtuseness to the persecution by prosecution of a former president by a political enemy for that enemy's political advancement, to the injury of Mr. Trump, should cause voters to press the delete button on any and all public comments from the Utah senator -- starting with his call, in The Wall Street Journal, for an anti-Trump coalition of 40% of voters to thwart the rightful support for Mr. Trump of 60% of GOP voters.

"Sen. Romney's stratagem to block the former president from being our next president may well suit the ambitions of the Despotic Clique but makes no sense.  But the past seven or eight years have made clear to the American people, Trump Derangement Syndrome is irrational in its origins -- and, thereby, a threat not only to the spirit of American democracy, but to national security.  Rallying round the besieged candidacy of Donald J. Trump is very much in the national interest."

Not in this small town

Sloan Oliver  So CMT canceled Aldean? Perhaps CMT should be canceled as was Bud Light.

"Hold on, if Aldean released the song back in May, why is he just now being accused of racism, pro-lynching, etc.?  Simple: Democrat voters (and their media) move from outrage to outrage.  Today, the mob is angry at Aldean, not because of the video (they don’t care about it) but because he isn’t one of them."

"Biden voters are frothing mad at Jason Aldean’s latest video, “Try That in A Small Town.” Aldean’s video highlights the lawlessness that Antifa, BLM, and other Democrat groups carried out during the summer of 2020, all while his lyrics tell Dems they better not try such craziness in small town America.

"A little background, recall after George Floyd died of a drug OD (May 2020); Democrat cities erupted in months of destructive riots, firebombing of courthouses, car hijackings, murders, etc.  It was frightening to watch the daily destruction by Democrat thugs as they torn down statues, vandalized and looted businesses, turned over and torched vehicles, and beat anyone unlucky enough to stumble upon their mayhem.

"It was such mayhem that Aldean’s song and video addresses.  His lyrics support small-town values along with law enforcement. He tells those unlawful Dems that they best not try such antics in small towns like Forsyth, GA and Macon (Aldean’s home town) because the people living there won’t put up with such nonsense. You’d think such a message would resonate and for most of the country, it does.  The problem is the woke Left is constantly enraged at everything.  They claim that Aldean’s video is, wait for it… racist.  Of course, it’s racist; everything’s racist to leftists.  CMT (Country Music Television) considered it so racist they pulled it from circulation."

Truth Bombs: From paintings to China money, White House story on Hunter Biden keeps unraveling

  Just The News

The president isn’t the only administration official to have his public statements on the matter challenged by conflicting evidence.

"Joe Biden has repeatedly denied any involvement with his son Hunter's business dealings, though recent revelations appear to have undercut that claim. But the president isn’t the only administration official to have his public statements on the matter come under scrutiny in the face of conflicting evidence.

"As House Republicans, led by Oversight Committee Chairman James Comer, R-Ky., and Judiciary Chairman Jim Jordan, R-Ohio, rigorously pursue investigations into the Biden family, their findings appear to have substantiated links of the commander-in-chief's prior involvement in the first son's endeavors, seemingly contradicting the claims of the elder Biden and his subordinates.

"Here are some of the most glaring statements from the commander-in-chief and his subordinates on the first son's dealings that have collided with contrary evidence.

Hunter Biden's art work sales

"During a July 9, 2021, press briefing, then-White House press secretary Jen Psaki addressed Hunter Biden's sale of artwork and concerns that his works may present conflicts of interest with the administration.

" 'After careful consideration, a system has been established that allows for Hunter Biden to work in his profession within reasonable safeguards," she said at the time. "Of course, he has the right to pursue an artistic career just like any child of a president has the right to pursue a career. But all interactions regarding the selling of art and the setting of prices will be handled by a professional gallerist adhering to the highest industry standards, and any offer out of the normal, of course, would be rejected out of hand."

"And the gallerist will not share information about buyers or prospective buyers, including their identities, with Hunter Biden or the administration, which provides quite a level of protection and transparency," she continued.

"The first son's art has appeared in the Georges Bergès Gallery in SoHo, with some works listing for as much as $85,000. Despite the alleged safeguards, the younger Biden did ultimately learn the identity of at least two buyers, including one who donated to his father's campaign.

"Business Insider reported that Elizabeth Hirsh Naftali, whom President Biden tapped to serve on the Commission for the Preservation of America's Heritage Abroad, purchased some of Hunter's art at an unspecified time. She gave $13,414 to the Biden campaign and $29,700 to the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee.

Hunter's laptop was Russian disinformation

"President Joe Biden himself, as well as numerous former Intelligence Community officials asserted that the Hunter Biden laptop story, which broke in late 2020, bore the hallmarks of a Russian disinformation operation." . . .Full article here.
