Biden was widely criticized for his handling of Anita Hill's sexual harassment allegations against Clarence Thomas during Thomas' Supreme Court confirmation hearings in 1991. In 2015, New York magazine ran a photo essay showing nine instances when Biden, in creepy fashion, leaned in closely and whispered in women's ears, with several of those women appearing visibly uncomfortable with such interaction.

"Biden was chairman of the Senate Judiciary Committee that grilled Supreme Court nominee Robert Bork in such a crude fashion as to turn the failed nominee's name into a verb. “Borked” is now synonymous with the sort of character assassination that Biden led. His later aimless and incoherent questioning of Thomas during his confirmation hearing managed to enrage both critics and supporters." . . .

Lara Logan is Right about Media Bias, but She Overlooks a Greater Threat

As far as Lara Logan’s future goes, she has probably not committed “professional suicide.” She is an experienced, talented, and tough journalist with a compelling biography.If she is worried about finding work, then she can ask her former CBS colleague Sharyl Attkisson. Attkisson resigned in 2014 charging CBS with bias. Since then she has done very well writing for Conservative media.

"Historically, legacy American media like CBS has argued that its reporting is objective.  Thus, while journalists might be overwhelmingly liberal in their personal opinions, they can still suppress that bias in their news stories. Lara Logan says that this is no longer the case:

Although the media has historically always been left-leaning, we’ve abandoned our pretense – or at least the effort – to be objective, today. We’ve become political activists, some could argue propagandists.

"Logan concedes that news outlets like Breitbart and Fox offer a different viewpoint, but they are heavily outnumbered:

There’s one Fox, and there’s many, many, many more organizations on the left. … The problem is the weight of all these organizations on one side of the political spectrum. When you turn on your computer, or you walk past the TV, or you see a newspaper headline in the grocery store If [sic] they’re all saying the same thing, the weight of that convinces you that it’s true. "The charge of Left-wing media bias is anything but new. Richard Nixon made a career out of attacking it. Logan’s long tenure at CBS, however, makes her remarks both timely and credible. Logan did not receive much deference from CBS News after suffering horribly on their behalf.   . . . "We are only a few months removed from such hero treatment being lavished on women who suddenly came forward with implausible and unproven allegations of decades-old misconduct against Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh. Those women were universally described as “survivors,” but Lara Logan never is. Criticism of those women – even polite questions about the inconsistencies in their claims – was denounced as “attacking” them, but Lara Logan enjoys no such courtesy. The left long ago decided Logan is a “right-wing shill,” and that political identity trumps everything else about her.

DeBlasi  "What we all knew all the time has been publicly acknowledged by its former deniers — namely, that what is in a pregnant woman's womb is a child.  That child's right to live — given him by the One who made his birth possible — may nevertheless be "lawfully" denied by his mother if she doesn't want him and allows him to be killed for reasons of her own.  Such "legal" killing, deceptively labeled "pro-choice," ruthlessly denies the natural right of the baby to live.

"It shatters comprehension that a mind and heart can separate to form such a deadly ambivalence as either to kill an innocent human life in or out of the womb or, alternatively, to bear the child and see to his welfare.  Such detachment from human sensibility and instinct regarding human life — an infant's life, no less! — hovers between pathological and criminal.  The sense and the function of being a mother, especially when pregnancy is not from rape, is surely absent from a woman with such a disordered mind.  We may justifiably suspect that her heart has been hardened and her mind warped by radical feminist ranting.

Bottom line: However labeled, however filtered through the mind, infanticide is not any less barbaric than killing by murderers, terrorists, and heartless rulers.Words like "choice," "privacy," "reproductive rights," and other hogwash dodges scream against the reality that "abortion on demand" kills babies — regardless of their age.

CNN hires a prominent conservative to help direct its political coverage

WaPo  "CNN, long vilified by President Trump as “fake news,” has plucked an operative from within Trump’s own party to be one of its political editors.

"Sarah Isgur, a longtime Republican spokeswoman, will join the network to help direct its political coverage, including the Democratic primaries and Trump’s reelection campaign, the network confirmed Tuesday.

"The hiring, first reported by Politico, is unusual for a number of reasons. Isgur hasn’t worked in journalism and has no experience managing a TV news operation. She has spent the bulk of her career as a Republican advocate, working on behalf of candidates including Mitt Romney, Ted Cruz and Carly Fiorina, as well as the Republican National Committee.

"Most recently, she was the spokeswoman for the Justice Department, under Attorney General Jeff Sessions, whom Trump forced out in November.

"In her role as a Republican advocate, Isgur has disparaged CNN before, once calling it “the Clinton News Network,” a reference to its alleged bias in favor of Bill and Hillary Clinton. Smollett, who is black and gay, alleged that two men approached him at 2 a.m. in Chicago, where they shouted “f*****” and “n*****,” tried to wrap a noose around his neck, and poured bleach on him. He also told TMZ that the men shouted, “This is MAGA country.”

The media ran with the story. Good Morning America hosted Smollett, where he maligned anyone who asked questions as a racist and a homophobe. CNN’s Brooke Baldwin stated, “This is America in 2019.” Celebrities parroted their support for Smollett, with many blaming President Trump and Vice President Pence for the attack.
