The Two Words That Now Describe the White House Correspondents' Dinner

 Townhall

The bright spot here is maybe this dinner will be the killing joke regarding the vaccine. Hell, it might be the death knell for its advocacy. The very people who wanted all of us to get jabbed, even little kiddies, all still got it at this elitist dinner.

"We all knew this was going to happen. There were hordes of liberal elitists at the White House Correspondents Dinner on April 30. Sure, you had to download an app to load your medical documents, which was super creepy. Sure, you needed to get vaccinated, boosted, and show proof of your shots for entry. Is this Washington DC or Checkpoint Charlie?

"You had to file more paperwork to attend this dinner than filing your taxes. And for what? We all know the COVID vaccine does not prevent transmission. You can still get it.

"In that regard, the COVID vaccine is like the flu shot that's available every year. It prevents you from serious illness, maybe death, but you can still get it. That's life. Get used to it. COVID is endemic. Welcome to the new normal—and let's get back on with our lives.

"The people who attended this dinner peddled so much fear porn that our nerves for stimulation are now shot and for good reason—it was all about control. We're done. And evidently, they're done too. So, are we shocked that this dinner has become a full-blown superspreader event? We all knew the dominos would fall once ABC News' Jon Karl fell ill. More have fallen (via CNN): ". . .

Alito Will Save Lives, Not Biden

 Ann Coulter

"When the draft Supreme Court opinion overruling "Roe v. Wade" leaked on Monday, my first thought was: WHY COULDN'T THEY WAIT UNTIL NEXT YEAR? ("Roe" is in quotes because Planned Parenthood v. Casey already overruled Roe, but "Roe" is still used to describe the nonexistent right to abortion.)

"Yes, it's human life we're talking about. Millions of babies are killed in their mothers' wombs each year -- it's a massacre. On the other hand, I thought, ending late-terms might end the midterms.

"But then I read Justice Samuel Alito's opinion and was intellectually offended all over again by the idea that one of our precious constitutional rights, enshrined in a founding document, is the right to kill an unborn baby. Anyone complaining about the decision should be required to cite the exact parts Alito got wrong. Be specific. And keep in mind, no important discussion of constitutional law has ever begun with the words, "My vagina ..."

"The Nation magazine's Elie Mystal took a stab at it by completely misstating Alito's argument, then saying, "the Founding Fathers were racist, misogynist jerkfaces." (I was planning on writing a scholarly and nuanced treatise on the framers, but Mystal just stole my title!)

"I also noticed that, outside of the media, no one seems especially bothered by the decision. Or to have noticed it. In groups of liberal women, apolitical women, black and Puerto Rican women, no one is talking about the case.

"They're probably right. The end of a court-managed "constitutional" right to abortion isn't going to produce the Roemageddon Democrats are predicting.

"More than half of the country already lives in states where abortion will always be legal, subsidized and sacralized. For those who don't, Harvard should set up an abortion scholarship program. Instead of spending $100 million "investigating" slavery, the university could buy bus tickets for girls who need to go to another state for an abortion.

"The Mississippi law being upheld in this case -- contrary to everything I've heard on MSNBC -- is shockingly reasonable.". . .

The Silent Scream (The ultrasound of abortion)   The Silent Scream is a 1984 anti-abortion documentary video directed and narrated by Bernard Nathanson, an obstetrician, NARAL Pro-Choice America founder, and abortion provider turned pro-life activist, and produced in partnership with the National Right to Life Committee.[1] The film depicts the abortion process via ultrasound and shows an abortion taking place in the uterus. During the abortion process, the fetus is described as appearing to make outcries of pain and discomfort. The video has been a popular tool used by the pro-life campaign in arguing against abortion,[2] although it has been criticized as misleading by members of the medical community.[3]

While posting this, I found I could not watch it myself any more than I could stand seeing anything that actually went on inside a Nazi gas chamber.

Victoria Toensing floats idea on what to do with ‘every single’ SCOTUS clerk to find the leaker

Victoria Toensing floats idea on what to do with 'every single' SCOTUS clerk to find the leaker (bizpacreview.com)  "With the alleged Supreme Court leak dominating the news cycle, hot takes are pouring in from every angle. For Victoria Toensing though, the call to action is to polygraph Supreme Court clerks.

"It isn’t currently known who leaked the draft opinion to Politico (though speculation runs rampant.) It isn’t even known if the leak itself is legitimate, but so far, it is being treated as such by just about everyone.

"The leak has galvanized screaming rhetoric from both sides, with Democrats claiming that women are under attack and democracy is dying, and Republicans outraged over the idea that a leak happened at the Supreme Court, and feel it compromised the institution’s integrity, and that it is an attempt to intimidate the conservative justices into silence.

"One such voice is Toensing, a conservative attorney noted for being part of former President Donald Trump’s team in challenging the 2020 election in court, who was later raided by the FBI as part of an ongoing investigation into former New York City Mayor Rudy Guiliani’s activities in Ukraine on behalf of Trump.

"On Tuesday, Toensing and her husband, fellow attorney Joseph diGenova, went on Newsmax to comment on the “unprecedented” leak and speculate on the motives, such as the popular theory that it was intended to create pressure on the justices to change their vote.

"Toensing then took it a step further and said the FBI needs to intervene and polygraph “every single law clerk in there,” to find out who (if it even was one of the clerks) was responsible.". . .

Obamas Urge Their Followers to Take to the Streets to Save Roe

Obamas Urge Their Followers to Take to the Streets to Save Roe – PJ Media  . . ."Former President Barack Obama and his wife, Michelle, have dusted off their aloof, cool, intellectual act to bless us with their thoughts on the recent development. The former president tweeted out a document entitled “Statement by President and Mrs. Obama on the Draft Supreme Court Decision to Overturn Roe v. Wade.” Apparently forgetting he was no longer the president, Barack also forgot how important precedent and custom are, as he used his position and power to pressure sitting Supreme Court justices on a case they are currently considering:. . .

. . ."Got that, Alito, Thomas, Kavanaugh, Gorsuch, and Barrett? And don’t even think about it, Roberts!

“ 'The consequences of this decision would be a blow not just to women, but to all of us who believe that in a free society, there are limits to how much the government can encroach on our personal lives,” the luminaries of the vaccine-mandate party laughably assert.

"The sainted couple then warns, “… we recognize that while many are angry and frustrated by this report, some of those who support Roe may feel helpless and instinctively turn back to their work, or families, or daily tasks telling themselves that because this outcome may have been predictable, there’s nothing any of us can do.” The Obamas list off some hypothetical examples of the sad situations in which people may find themselves, which could be alleviated by terminating an unwanted or unviable pregnancy. (And indeed, all of these examples are heartbreaking.) “Think of any of the hundreds of thousands of women each year who deserve the dignity and freedom of making a decision that is right for their bodies and their circumstances,” implore the historic couple.

"Then they issue their call-to-action:

But we’re not asking you to just think about these people. We’re asking you to join with the activists who’ve been sounding the alarm on this issue for years and act. Stand with them at a local protest. Volunteer with them on a campaign. Join with them in urging Congress to codify Roe into law.

Repairman who revealed Hunter Biden laptop sues Schiff, CNN, Politico and the Daily Beast

NY Post  .  .  ."The former shop owner, John Paul Mac Isaac, decided to fight back after losing his business and being harassed for 18 months by Big Tech, the media and Delaware locals in President Biden’s home state.

"“After fighting to reveal the truth, all I want now is for the rest of the country to know that there was a collective and orchestrated effort by social and mainstream media to block a real story with real consequences for the nation,” the 45-year-old Mac Isaac told The Post.

"“This was collusion led by 51 former pillars in the intelligence community and backed by words and actions of a politically motivated DOJ and FBI,” he continued. “I want this lawsuit to reveal that collusion and more importantly, who gave the marching orders.”

"Mac Isaac came to legally own the laptop after Biden’s son Hunter dropped it off at his store for repairs in April 2019 and never came back. The material on the laptop has raised serious questions about what Biden knew of his son’s overseas business deals, during which he and the president’s brother Jim Biden often invoked his powerful name. Hunter Biden's laptop repairman harassed, nearly bankrupt (nypost.com)

. . .The Delaware computer repair shop owner who alerted the FBI to Hunter Biden’s infamous laptop before ultimately taking it to Rudy Giuliani says he’s faced harassment from Big Tech, the IRS and other government agencies ever since, and now faces bankruptcy.

“I was getting a lot of death threats,” John Paul Mac Isaac said. “I had to have a Wilmington trooper parked in front of my shop all the time.

“There were multiple situations where people came in and you could tell they were not there to have a computer fixed. And if there were not other people in the shop, I don’t know what would have happened,” he told The Post. “I was having vegetables, eggs, dog s–t thrown at the shop every morning.”. . .

Sen. Markey Is A Dangerous Insurrectionist — Says The Supreme Court Was ‘Stolen’!

I fear for this nation when it seems every media source, late-night TV host, educator,  and government official agrees with this man. A nation gets the leaders it deserves. TD

Issues & Insights (issuesinsights.com)

"The left’s freakout over a leaked draft of a Supreme Court opinion overturning Roe v. Wade is hardly surprising. It has a collective breakdown whenever it loses on an issue, even a trivial one. But what did surprise us was the radical, downright insurrectionist talk spewed by at least one Democrat.

"The unprecedented leak of a draft of a Supreme Court opinion – apparently in hopes that it would somehow change the outcome – was a sign of the left’s unbalanced mental state. As soon as the leak hit the internet, protests erupted, calls for packing the court and ending the filibuster re-emerged, and the hyperbole gushed forth.

"Case in point is the statement from the two Democratic congressional leaders. “The Supreme Court is poised to inflict the greatest restriction of rights in the past 50 years – not just on women but on all Americans,” they screeched, adding that overturning Roe would be “an abomination, one of the worst and most damaging decisions in modern history.”

"What really caught our eye, however, was what Massachusetts Sen. Ed Markey said: “A stolen, illegitimate, and far-right Supreme Court majority appears set to destroy the right to abortion, an essential right which protects the health, safety, and freedom of millions of Americans. There is no other recourse. We must expand the court.' ” . . .

"Whoever heard of a leak from the Supreme Court?" American Thinker   . . ."The end of Roe was never meant to come easy. It won't be easy but we're finally headed in the right direction. Yes, the Democrats are a dead donkey trotting but at least a few more baby girls will get to choose in their lives!"

“ 'Protect” abortion? How about we protect babies? Should we protect the “right” to kill-- or protect the right to life? How that question is answered will go a long way towards determining how long our society can last."

Senator Joe Biden Voted to Allow States to Overturn Roe v. Wade (townhall.com)

Yet, it was a vote he cast — one that directly contrasts his position and rhetoric in 2022. As Biden and White House Press Secretary Jen Psaki have repeatedly stated over the last 16 months, Biden's position now is that an unborn child's future is dependent on "a woman's right to choose" whether it lives or dies. But that's another statement that contradicts Biden's past comments.

And Now the Left Is Going to Stomp All Over Ruth Bader Ginsburg (townhall.com)

Yes, the justice that the feminist left worships like a saint will be dragged through the mud because she didn't know when to quit. A co-founder of The Lincoln Project made that point clear—she didn't know when to hang the cleats up.

FNC's Ingraham: As Clerks, We Were Warned Leaking Would End our Careers, SCOTUS Leaker 'Should Be Immediately' Disbarred (breitbart.com)

. ."Ingraham concluded, “And through the entirety of the court’s history, no matter how controversial or disruptive the court’s decisions have been, and I’m talking decades, decades of decisions on the freedom of religion, rights of criminals, same-sex marriage, none of those draft opinions ever leaked. You know why? Because everyone in that building understood that was a line that could never be crossed. And it is a sad commentary that someone in that building took it upon himself or herself to totally usurp the role of the justices and hijack the court’s deliberative process. … But once again, it looks like the left will just smash an established government process to get their way, do anything in their power to stop a principled, conservative majority from issuing a ruling on a pending case. This leaker is going to be sorely disappointed and should be immediately discovered and disbarred.”

Top three stupidest reactions from Democrats after the leak about Roe - American Thinker   . . ."To reiterate the backstory: Some ass with no loyalty to the Court as an institution took it upon himself to leak a draft of internal Supreme Court proceedings which indicate that the Court, on a 5-4 vote, is likely to overturn Roe v. Wade, a 1973 decision so poorly laid out that even the late liberal justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg had reservations about its legal grounding.  This shouldn't be a problem for leftists, because abortion remains legal.  The only thing it does is throw the matter back to states.  The latter can now legislate the matter according to whether their citizens want it or don't want it.  We can just guess what the blue states will decide.

"That didn't stop the left from howling that the sky was falling.  Here are my top three nominations for the "most embarrassing" leftist responses:

"Let's start with Chesa Boudin, the embattled leftist district attorney of San Francisco who's up for a voter recall this summer.  Here's his tweeted response:". . .

. . ."Now let's move on to another California denizen from the East Coast: the one and only Maria Shriver, "devout" Catholic, scion of the Kennedy clan, and former first lady of California, at least until Arnold started sleeping around with the Guatemalan maid."

. . ."Meanwhile, we also have Sen. Elizabeth Warren, who didn't bring up abortion as a form of motherhood; she just had a hot-pink tantrum.  Get a load:". . .

Tucker Carlson Needs Only a Single Picture to Respond to New York Times 'Bombshell' Hit Piece on Him

Tucker Carlson Needs Only a Single Picture to Respond to New York Times 'Bombshell' Hit Piece on Him (thefederalistpapers.org)

Like other corporate media outlets, the Times has destroyed its credibility in recent years with nonstop spouting of left-wing propaganda masquerading as objective journalism.

"Tucker Carlson is getting the last laugh after The New York Times published a 20,000-word hit piece on the ratings kingpin, slamming him as a “racist nationalist.”

"On Sunday, Carlson tweeted a viral photo of himself gleefully snickering while flaunting the Times’ “bombshell” front-page story on the Fox News sensation.

"The article was part of a disdainful, four-part series on Carlson titled “American Nationalist” (as if that’s a bad thing).

"If a picture is worth a thousand words, then the cable news juggernaut’s photo spoke volumes. You can almost hear him chuckling aloud.

"It’s the same hearty laugh heard most evenings on Carlson’s top-rated cable show when he mocks absurd, race-baiting, virtue-signaling leftist policies.". . .

. . ."Batya Ungar-Sargon, Newsweek’s deputy opinion editor, blasted the Times’ hypocrisy in attacking Carlson for championing the working class and espousing views that “any Democrat would have proudly endorsed 15 years ago.”. . .

. . ."Ungar-Sargon added: “Legacy media used to use its massive resources to expose government corruption; now they use them to protect the administration from embarrassment and criticism, to expose anonymous Twitter accounts, to smear the competition as racists if they dare expose the class divide.”. . .
