America's Best Interest Not A Priority For President Obama

Thomas Sowell   "The Ebola outbreak in West Africa is both a danger in itself and a wake-up call for Americans — about President Obama, about the institutions of this country and, most important, about ourselves.

"There was a time when an outbreak of a deadly disease overseas would bring virtually unanimous agreement that our top priority should be to keep it overseas. Yet Barack Obama has refused to bar entry to the United States by people from countries where the Ebola epidemic rages, as Britain has done.

"The reason? Refusing to let people with Ebola enter the U.S. would conflict with the goal of fighting the disease. In other words, the safety of the American people takes second place to the goal of helping people overseas."   Read More At Investor's Business Daily:

Reasons for Political Hope

Photo via FrontPage MagazineBruce S. Thornton  "Many Republicans are excited about the midterm elections. They see a good chance of taking over the Senate, which means they can neutralize Obama’s last few years in office. ... Regaining the presidency, some believe, will lead to a reprise of Ronald Reagan’s presidency, in which the country was turned from its leftward drift under Jimmy Carter.
...
"Then there are the nearly 66 million American people who reelected as president an inexperienced narcissist, serial liar, racial divider, and manifest failure. Whether they did so out of juvenile idealism, hope for racial reconciliation, or the lure of more government handouts doesn’t really matter. This lack of judgment and basic information, or sacrifice of principle to self-interest, bespeaks an electorate significant numbers of whom are unlikely to support any politician or party that seriously attempts to halt runaway entitlement spending, debt, and deficits, or to rebuild our military deterrence and reassert our will globally."
Political Cartoons by Jerry Holbert
...
One source of hope Mr. Thornton explains is:

... "Finally, new communication technologies have broken the monopoly liberals once held over information and commentary. Before the rise of talk-radio in the 80s, political opinion was controlled by a few score network news anchors, magazine editors, and syndicated columnists. Today there are hundred of thousands of voices and opinions on cable news networks like Fox News, blogs, on-line magazines like FrontPage, websites, social networks like Facebook, and video sites like YouTube. It’s clear that the persistence of Fox News in reporting the Benghazi debacle and the IRS scandal have kept these administration failures alive in the public square. "  (Emphasis added

"In the Netherlands, a "moderate Muslim" is someone who thinks Isis is a Zionist front group"

Mark Steyn   Who is Yasmina Haifi? She's an official at the Dutch Ministry of Justice who serves as project leader at the Netherlands' National Cyber Security Center. And she thinks Isis is a Zionist plot to make Islam look bad.

"She could be right. On the other hand, maybe Yasmina Haifi is a Zionist plot to make Islam look bad - or at any rate deranged....

"Look at Yasmina Haifi in the photograph at right - she's not a burqa-wreathed crone, but a modern western career woman in a foxy red jacket with just a hint of cleavage. And yet she cannot bear the truth about her religion and what is done in its name. So she takes refuge in the laziest conspiracy of all. In the Netherlands, an "extremist" Muslim supports Isis because it's chopping the heads off infidels, but a "moderate" Muslim opposes Isis because it's a Zionist front group.

"This is the human capital with which the Netherlands has chosen to build its future." ...More...

More on this man from Steyn: this Tweet from Tarek Fatah caught my eye:
When @MarkSteynOnline wrote "Future Belongs to Islam", I scoffed at it, but 10 yrs later I believe him. Facing Islamism are cowardly wimps.
... "And so Birmingham [England] will be Muslim. And then where? England will cease to exist as anything other than as a geographic designation. David Cameron can still get miffed about beheadings, but, when a society has opted for assisted suicide, that's a difference only of degree."

Barack Obama will not be impeached; that is not a realistic possibility. But his enablers can be fired in November.

Ed Lasky   "The only advice Barack Obama offered that is worth following is a bit of one he gave to supporters in 2012.

"Days before Barack Obama was reelected, he fired up a crowd of supporters at a campaign rally -- inside a public high school, no less -- with the call for them to vote out of revenge.

"It was a disgrace for a president of the United States to think and to verbalize such a sentiment.  But Americans should not have been unduly shocked for the president is a man whose perception of democracy was that is useful to “punish your enemies and reward your friends.”

"Now is the time for Americans to wreak their revenge. That may sound harsh but I am not a president and I do not hold myself out as a role model." ...  Full article.

Failure of the Feminist Word Police

NRO   "Modern feminists seem dedicated to teaching us uncultured regular people that many of our favorite common expressions are actually offensive slurs. “You guys.” “Oh, man!” “Man up!” They say these phrases create a male-centric society that oppresses women sexually and professionally, whether we intend them to or not.

"You might think that these language-vetting philosopher-cops would make sure that their movement’s own language was coherent and appropriate. But you would be wrong.
...
(Below: pretty much what you see on cop shows and sit-coms)
"Apparently, the language vetters didn’t do such a good job vetting the language of their own initiatives. This movement, so obsessed with semantics that it equates the use of longstanding common phrases to oppression against women, might want to be more vigilant — or, better yet, focus on more important issues."

Grimes Staff Caught on Hidden Camera: She’s Lying About Support for Coal Industry

Lachlan Markay   "U.S. Senate candidate Alison Lundergan Grimes is lying about her support for the state’s coal industry according to Kentucky Democrats, including members of her campaign team, who were captured on a hidden camera video.

"The video, produced by conservative filmmaker James O’Keefe, shows five employees of the Grimes campaign and local Democratic Party affiliates speculating that the Democratic challenger to Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell (R., Ky.) is only professing her support for the industry out of political expediency."
“Let me set it straight for you Mitch McConnell. I am the pro-coal candidate in this race,” Grimes declared at a recent campaign event with former President Bill Clinton.

Rick Moran at American Thinker covers this as well:  What Alison Lundergan Grimes really thinks about the coal industry
"That kind of cynicism is rare, even in politics. The fact is, politicians will say a lot of things to get elected, but on big issues, they will usually avoid lying. Hedging and trimming on an issue like coal in Kentucky was probably the smarter play, rather than coming out full bore against the EPA.

"In this case, Grimes would have an opportunity to put her money where her mouth is. McConnell should pose the question whether she would vote for his amendment that would prevent the EPA from finalizing the draconian rules on CO2 emissions that would vritually kill the coal industry. If she says yes, she will lose Democratic votes. If she says no, she will be a proven liar and be buried.

"O'Keefe, whose undercover videos have revealed massive hypocrisy by Democrats and liberals, says that this is only the beginning. More videos are on the way."

This Man Found An Elderly Beggar He Gave Money To Driving A New Fiat And Got Pretty Mad

“You drive a better car than me!” Language advisory.

Buzzfeed  "News9 has now met the lady in the video – it didn’t go well..."

"An elderly panhandler caught on video getting into a brand new car has gotten a lot of attention online. Many people are as angry as the guy on the video confronting the woman.

"The woman had been standing on the median to the entrance to Quail Springs Mall from Pennsylvania Avenue. She was holding a sign saying she was a 78-year-old widow and she needed money.

"Daniel Alyla is the one in the video yelling at the woman as she sits in her car.

“ 'You asking for money in the middle of the street and you drive a 2014 car,” he said.
Alyla said he works two jobs, but still tries to give to people who need help."

“ 'It made me mad when I saw her Monday behind this gas station parked counting the money, she had a lot of money in her lap and I couldn't take it,” said Alyla on Friday."
...
"According to the Homeless Alliance only about 20% of panhandlers are actually homeless.

“ 'By far the majority of panhandlers we see are panhandling for cash, typically to support unhealthy behaviors, often alcoholism and other addictions.” said Dan Straughan-Executive Director of the Homeless Alliance."

A brief history of Democrats, Republicans, and racism

J Craig, Cincinnati Social Issues Examiner
... "First off, let's begin by saying the two parties never switched sides years ago as many people claim. This did not happen. It just didn't. The Democrats have done a great job though of controlling the information that many Americans have accessed. They have led many people and most Blacks to believe that the Republicans are evil racists only to deflect their own racist history. Their history is full of the very same things that most minorities believe the Republicans are responsible for. This is frustrating to say the least because too many people are misinformed." ...

... "Regarding the Republican Party, they have always been for civil rights. They helped champion Constitutional amendments ending slavery, giving Black Americans the right to vote, as well as securing that right. The Republican Party supported and helped push through most of the civil rights laws from the 1860’s to the 1960’s with much opposition from Democrats. The original Republican Party platform was to abolish slavery, while the Democratic platform included language to protect their so-called right to force people into slavery."

ISNA(Islamic Society of N. America)Mosques & Others:Up To Their Necks In Beheading! What’s To Be Done?

Adina Kutnicki

"This map illustrates the relationship between mosques and their linkage to home grown terrorism.Behind almost all of them you’ll find a Saudi-funded Wahhabi mosque and a radical imam.
"IT is beyond a shadow of a doubt that the majority of mosques in America – mainly under ISNA’s umbrella, but not exclusively so – present a clear danger. The evidence is manifest and can no longer be ignored, come what may. " ...
