After Hamas atrocities, MLK’s embrace of Israel and disdain for antisemitism confronts liberals

  Just The News

There are still people in captivity right now, eight of whom are Americans," [Bernice King said]. “We must stand up, I say. Where's the moral outrage about this? Why isn't this the lead story in the news every single day?” she asked.

CBS Los Angeles

"Just 10 days before his assassination, Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. stood at a podium with war raging between Israelis and Arabs in the Middle East and strife evident in urban American communities between blacks and Jewish shopkeepers. Without equivocation, he embraced Israel and condemned antisemitism in all its forms.

“ 'We cannot substitute one tyranny for another, and for the black man to be struggling for justice and then turn around and be anti-Semitic is not only a very irrational course but it is a very immoral course. And wherever we have seen anti-Semitism we have condemned it with all of our might,” King declared in a question-and-answer session in March 1968 at the Rabbinical Assembly.

"He added for good measure: “Peace for Israel means security, and we must stand with all our might to protect its right to exist, its territorial integrity. I see Israel as one of the great outposts of democracy in the world.”

Adam Schiff’s past effort to fan Russia collusion tale boomerangs in California Senate bid

 Just The News

You remember California Congressman Adam Schiff, the man who exploited his position on the House Intelligence Committee by notoriously lying about having seen evidence that Donald Trump colluded with Russia to steal the 2016 election?  Matt Margolis

The Week

"Steve Garvey, Pre-transgender nun Dodger, 10-time MLB all-star first baseman and four-time Gold Glove winner, is slugging it out with Rep. Adam Schiff.

"Rep. Adam Schiff’s past effort to fan the Russia collusion tale is boomeranging as he now seeks the vacant U.S.Senate seat in California.

"Former MLB star Steve Garvey, now a GOP candidate, accused Schiff, D-Calif., of lying to the public on the debate stage this week, prompting Schiff to claim he was censured for "standing up to a corrupt President."

"Garvey and Schiff are among the candidates in the race for the Senate seat held by the late Sen. Dianne Feinstein.

"In the California primary election, the two candidates who receive the most votes head to the general election for a head-to-head match-up in November.  A recent poll released by Emerson College found 25% of respondents said they would vote for Schiff and Garvey was in second place with 18%.

" 'I called out Adam Schiff for being censured for lying to 300 million Americans. His response: 'I would do it all over again,'" Garvey wrote Thursday on X.  Schiff was censured in a resolution stating that Schiff held positions of power during Trump’s presidency and “abused this trust by saying there was evidence of collusion between Trump’s campaign and Russia.” There was no such evidence.

"Schiff had drawn attention to himself throwing the "Russian collusion" narrative at anyone who opposed him. At one point, he accused on live television then-Fox News host Tucker Carlson of "being a Russian agent" and said to Carlson, according to New York Magazine, “You’re carrying water for the Kremlin!”

"Schiff ignored the question of throwing the "Russian agent" allegations around, and instead deflected with comments arguing that Garvey supports allowing states to ban abortion." . . .

Imagining a world without Israel

  The Forward

At the end of the Six Day War, Israeli soldiers hug and kiss the stones of the Western Wall.

"Years ago, I canceled a subscription to a newspaper after it landed on my doorstep with a headline shouting “Crazed snow plower kills 1, rams 50 cars.” I wasn’t protesting its decorum or even its journalistic accuracy — though I doubted the news staff had the medical training necessary to diagnose the snow plower as “crazed.”

"Rather, my cancellation was to protect my own sanity. Whatever reasons the editors had for sensationalizing the front page, it left me on edge, expecting any day to see a headline blaring “War with China.”

"I felt the same way last week when turning on a CNN broadcast to a news crawl and graphic blaring “Israel under attack on seven fronts.” Shocked, I immediately checked other sources to learn if Israel really was at the brink of destruction. The volley of attacks from Gaza, Lebanon, Syria, the West Bank, Yemen, Iraq and Iran were real, I learned, according to Israeli defense minister Yoav Gallant, but not quite the armageddon suggested by the CNN crawl.

"Yet there was a difference between CNN’s hype and that long-ago newspaper headline: This time, the calamity was very much imaginable." . . .

The Rebirth of Israel Ezekiel 37 – Israel My Glory . . ."On November 29, 1947, Theodor Herzl’s dream became a reality. The United Nations voted 33 to 13 (with 10 abstentions) to partition what was then called Palestine into two independent states: one Arab and one Jewish. Great Britain, which had administered the land since 1920 under a mandate from the former League of Nations, did everything in its power to hamper statehood for the Jewish people. But on May 14, 1948, the British evacuated; and Israel declared independence for the first time in 2,500 years.
"Today Israel’s Jewish population numbers about 5.3 million.2 In the past 59 years, those returning have rebuilt and cultivated the land, bringing it back to life and beauty (36:8–12). But they do so in unbelief.

"Some people question whether today’s Israel is the Israel referred to in the dry bones passage and believe the prophecy will not be fulfilled until the Messiah’s return. However, other prophetic passages show that Israel must be in its land as a recognized nation before the Messiah returns: . . ."

WATCH: Trump Supporters Spring Into Action and Unmask Protesters at Vegas Rally — Before Shoving Them Right Out the Door

The Gateway Pundit | by Cassandra MacDonald

"Supporters of former President Donald Trump sprung into action on Saturday and unmasked two protesters before shoving them out the door.

"The protesters had their faces covered with American flag bandannas and wore patriotic attire, in a clear attempt to blend in.

"Moments after Trump took the stage, they began shouting at him.

“ 'His supporters jumped into action and forced the man and woman out the exit while trying to pull off their masks to take pictures of them,” the Reno Gazette-Journal reports.

"As the troublemakers were removed from the event, the crowd chanted, “USA! USA! USA!' ”

Evangelicals Embrace Trump. Joy Reid is livid!

William Manning   . . ."Rather than portraying evangelicals as racists, Ms. Reid should ask  why conservative Christians vote for Republicans.  Evangelicals have voted for Republicans since 1980, when they deserted Jimmy Carter, a Southern Baptist, to vote for Ronald Reagan.  Conservative Christians have continued to vote for Republicans and have no incentive to switch.

"Democrats believe they are the arbiters of morality and use government agencies to force their reimagined morality on the people.  President Obama believes that evangelicals cling bitterly to their religion.  Hillary Clinton tossed them into her basket of deplorables.  Biden’s DOJ wanted to investigate Catholics who choose to celebrate the old Mass.  The House Judiciary Committee recently disclosed that the Treasury Department warned banks that customers purchasing “religious texts“ might be violent extremists.  Federal investigators then asked the banks to hand over their customer records related to the purchase of Bibles and other “extremist” material.  Since the Feds regulate and control the banks, the records were delivered without a warrant.  Evangelicals view Biden, not Trump, as the threat to democracy.

"At a White House Pride Party last summer, a man calling himself a woman exposed himself on the White House lawn moments after shaking hands with Joe Biden.  Democrats suggest that transgender people use restrooms for the opposite sex.  Public schools have become tools of state indoctrination teaching children that pansexuality is a morally viable lifestyle.  If one doesn’t accept the state’s idolatry of pansexuality, one is accused of bigotry." . .   The bitter woman speaks on MSNBC:

Alina Habba's Courtroom 'Circus' May Be Donald Trump's Strategy

"Former federal prosecutor Neama Rahmani told Newsweek Habba's behavior, though a "shameful display of courtroom decorum," is likely her "taking direction from her client.' "

Alina Habba's Courtroom 'Circus' May Be Donald Trump's Strategy

"Donald Trump attorney Alina Habba's behavior during his civil trial involving journalist E. Jean Carroll has drawn scrutiny, but legal experts told Newsweek that her conduct could be part of the former president's strategy.

The defamation trial involving Carroll, a former Elle magazine columnist who has accused him of assaulting her in a New York City department store changing room in the mid-1990s, kicked off this week in a New York courtroom. Last May, a New York City jury found Trump liable for sexual abuse and defamation against Carroll, ordering him to pay $5 million in damages. Her attorneys now are seeking an additional $10 million in damages after the former president said she was lying about her accusations, saying he has no idea who Carroll is and that she was not his "type." Trump maintains his innocence in the case." . .  .

The E. Jean Carroll case against Trump shows our morally corrupt legal system - Andrea Widburg

. . ."In 2022, New York State upped the ante against Trump by passing its “Adult Survivors Act,” a law intended solely to create a window of time in which Carroll could file a civil sexual assault suit against Trump. Carroll promptly filed suit against Trump and reiterated her defamation claim. Incidentally, Reid Hoffman, a major Democrat party and Nikki Haley donor, helped fund her litigation." . . .

Why is no one wondering why the Trump trials have such idiotic jurors? -Patricia McCarthy   . . ."Exactly what would the ideologically biased prosecutors in each of the absurd lawfare trials of President Trump be looking for?

"That is an easy question. They would be looking for Trump-haters, people who watch MSNBC and The View, for example; people easily led and relatively ignorant of American history and current events beyond leftist talking points.  They would know nothing about the fact that Trump led the U.S. to energy independence that made our gas prices low and brought in huge profits to workers' 401(k)s because we had enough oil and gas to sell to other nations.  They would not know that Trump brought peace to the Middle East. They would most likely buy into the climate change hoax.  They would be persons who leapt to be vaccinated with the wholly experimental mRNA jab that has caused thousands of deaths (perhaps more), especially of young people.  They would be people who wanted to jail the vaccine-hesitant.  In short, they would be people who are easily manipulated by the media and easier still by clever and deceitful lawyers intent upon destroying Trump.  They would be sheep. " . . .

Case in point: "In Wednesday’s season finale of “The People v. O.J. Simpson,” the juror raised his left arm in a clenched fist salute to O.J. as the panel left the courtroom. His name is Lionel (Lon) Cryer, and as The New York Times reported on October 4, 1995, he was “a former Black Panther whom prosecutors had inexplicably left on the panel.”

Biden Freaks Out in South Carolina and Starts Screaming About Trump

President Trump didn't "Refuse" to visit the cemetery, he could not go because of weather restrictions. a motorcade was out of the question as well.

RedState   . . ."That practically screams 25th Amendment. But that wasn't even the worst part.

"This part was even worst where he completely lost it while repeating a debunked hoax about what former President Donald Trump supposedly said about a cemetery visit where American soldiers were buried in France.

" 'Donald Trump, when he was Commander-in-Chief, refused to visit a cemetery, a U.S. cemetery outside of Paris for fallen American soldiers and he referred to those heroes, and I quote as 'suckers and losers.'" Then Biden lost his mind and started screaming, "He actually said that!! He said that! HOW DARE HE say that! How dare he talk about my son and all [unintelligible] like that."

"This has been roundly debunked and no, there's no evidence that "he actually said that." Moreover it's just completely untrue that Trump "refused" to go. He wanted to go but they didn't go because of concerns about weather, as emails revealed."
