Sebelius asks for Obamacare Videos: This one is going viral!

"Poor Kathleen Sebelius. She just can’t get a break. When she offered $30,000 in prizes for Obamacare videos, is this what she had in mind?"

Are the seeds of civil war in America being sown?

Up until a short time ago, I wouldn't have considered a topic such as this, relegating it to the fringiest of the fringes. But when thoughtful writers such as Alan Caruba write on this subject, I begin to see the signs around us in a new light. Signs such as threats of racial violence, vengeance being promoted against those with opposing political views and the entire pro-Obama entertainment industry aligning to ridicule them with slander and profanity; leftists destroying the reputations and businesses of Americans who do not hold to liberal standards
And, yes, I do blame this president for many things he says to stir anger toward those of us who express fear over his policies; I blame Obama for the things he does not say to calm the angry divisions that are growing more bitter with time.  Tunnel Dweller

Alan Caruba;  A Very Angry America   ..."What is one to make of a White House senior advisor, Dan Pfeiffer, who compared Republicans to arsonists, hostage-takers, and suicide bombers? The Majority Leader in the Senate, Harry Reid, told Republicans that “There’s no need for conversations” telling them to send over a continuing resolution without defunding Obamacare. He has called Tea Party members of the House “anarchists.”...

It's dangerous. It's very dangerous. I believe, Mr. President, we are at one of the most dangerous points in our history right now. Every bit as dangerous as the break-up of the Union before the Civil War.

Walmart Shooter Picked Victims By Race  "A man who shot four people near a Greenville Walmart in June picked out his victims because they were white, according to several indictments handed down against him."

NBC Launches Week of Programming to 'Help' Obamacare Succeed. (Will resume anti-fracking dramas later)

Weekly Standard  "NBC announced today that it would be launching a week of programming to help Obamacare get off its feet, according to a press release sent out by the network. The law has been widely opposed by all Republicans and supported by most Democrats, including President Obama.
"The headline of the press release reads:
NBC News Launches “Ready or Not, the New Healthcare Law,” a Multi-Screen Experience to Help Americans Get the Most Out of the Affordable Care Act
Dr. Nancy Snyderman Answers Most Pressing Questions Across Social and Via New Video Series #AskDrNancy
Interactive Tools and Resources Help Audience Navigate New Healthcare Benefits and Marketplaces
"The NBC release says it will help explain how to enroll in Obamacare, a service no doubt to President Obama who has himself been barnstorming the country to try to boost enrollment in the program. "....

Read This Comment From A Washington Post Article About Jesus

American Glob  "The Washington Post has a new article called 5 Myths About Jesus. It’s the only type of Jesus related article liberals like – the kind that deconstruct beliefs about Jesus.
"Here’s a real comment on the article, emphasis is mine…
One thing we know about Jesus: He believed in helping the poor, feeding the masses, and free healthcare for all. Republicans who claim to be Christians should take note.
"Got that Christian Republicans? Jesus believed in free healthcare for all. Argument settled. I wonder how Jesus would have felt about abortion?"....

"It’s stunning and at the same time not at all surprising that after eagerly consuming an article which seeks to disprove accepted ideas about Jesus, a liberal’s takeaway is that Jesus would definitely have supported ObamaCare.

"As conservatives who oppose ObamaCare, this is what we’re up against.
We are debating the mentally ill."

Nicolai Sennels: Psychology: Why Islam creates monsters

Jihad Watch  "Nobody is born a mass murderer, a rapist or a violent criminal. So what is it in the Muslim culture that influence their children in a way that make so relatively many Muslims harm other people?

"As a psychologist in a Danish youth prison, I had a unique chance to study the mentality of Muslims. 70 percent of youth offenders in Denmark have a Muslim background. I was able to compare them with non-Muslim clients from the same age group with more or less the same social background. I came to the conclusion that Islam and Muslim culture have certain psychological mechanisms that harm people's development and increase criminal behavior."
....
"Here criticism, no matter how true, is seen as an attack on one's honor, and it is expected that the honor is restored by using whatever means necessary to silence the opponent. Muslims almost never attempt to counter criticism with logical arguments; instead, they try to silence the criticism by pretending to be offended or by name-calling, or by threatening or even killing the messenger."

Syria: Longtime Muslim Neighbors Joined al-Qaeda Rebels Against Christians  ..."Hanna says that before the war reached Maaloula this month, both Christians and Muslims agreed that the town must remain a place of peace. “There was a kind of coexistence between us,” Georgios agrees. “We had excellent relations. It never occurred to us that Muslim neighbours would betray us."

KENYA story of heroism by a Muslim girl who didn’t respond when the terrorists asked “Who is Muslim?”

From a comment to this post:
This reminds me of the air-crew of that Air-France Airbus-300 that got hijacked to Entebbe by Communist (East-German) and Moslem (“Palestinian”) terrorists: they equally ALL insisted on staying with the Jewish captives, who were facing death at the hands of those terrorist-captors and/or Idi Amin Dada’s troops (fellow-Moslems!) – and sharing their fate!!!

The Aussies show us how to fight bureaucracy

Immediate Execution or Prolonged Pain?  ...."Naturally, abolition of the Climate Commission was condemned by green politicians and the bureaucratic defenders office in the ABC. But after three days of ritual shrieking, the caravan has moved on, and the Climate Commission is now just a footnote in climatism history.
"The gradualist approach, however, is doomed to failure. Have you ever tried to pull a tooth slowly?
"Every attempt to remove funds or people from the Climate Concentration Camps will be met by the same shrieking from the same people. And before much is achieved it will be election time again and, to quell the shrieking, all talk of cuts or dismissals will stop.
"Gradualism means we will be stuck with the dead weight of the climate bureaucracy for years.
"Don't retain, replace, rebadge, or merge. Charge the ramparts and abolish quickly and completely."

Al Gore's Brookings Hate Speech Made Me Quit Email List

LaurenceJarvikOnline
Dear Brookings Communication Department:
Shame on Brookings for passing on Al Gore's uncivil remarks, without condemnation.
Does Brookings want to arrest "political terrorists" now? Call in drone strikes? This rhetoric is simply beyond the pale of civilized discourse, a slippery slope of political dehumanization of the opposition.
As you know, Vice President Al Gore and the Republic survived a shutdown in the Clinton administration very nicely. There were shutdowns in the Carter administration, as well.  It is called the congressional power of the purse.
After reading this email, I no longer have confidence in Brookings' rationality, nor its commitment to civil political discourse.
Therefore, I do not wish to receive any further materials by email from Brookings.
So, please remove me from all your email distribution lists, asap.
And please do tell Al Gore he's tarnished your reputation with at least one recipient.
If you ever condemn him, I'll subscribe again.

Sincerely,
Laurence A. Jarvik, Ph.D.

"The Power Of Positive Weakness" and America's decline in stature

"With the Syria imbroglio Obama demonstrated that he has no plan, no resolve, no domestic support, no international support and is desperate for something he can spin as a win. Of course people want to negotiate with him now."

You can be sure it is in Iran's best interest to have the Democrat party in power in the US and they also know the character of our liberals. They have seen the Code Pink antiwar signs and the anti-Israel protests; they have taken note of Americans defecating on our flag while crowds looked on, laughing. These are the same people who, in 1930s Great Britain cried "warmonger!" at warnings of danger over the growing Nazi war machine; the ones who thought Britain's preparing for the coming war with Hitler was aggression itself.
Democrat voters sleep the sleep of the blissfully ignorant, content to enjoy the thought that they are "nice people".  The Tunnel Dweller
JustOneMinute: The Power Of Positive Weakness
With the Syria imbroglio Obama demonstrated that he has no plan, no resolve, no domestic support, no international support and is desperate for something he can spin as a win. Of course people want to negotiate with him now:

U.S. and Iran Agree to Speed Talks to Defuse Nuclear Issue  "But Mr. Rouhani has yet to propose anything concrete to suggest how different the Iranians really are in their approach. The first glimpse of that is due to come on Oct. 15 and 16, when Iran plans to present its own road map in Geneva.

How many out there know what the phrase, "Peace in our Time" means?
Will Israel be Obama's Czechoslovakia?
"The White House quickly offered Israel and leaders in Congress a readout of Obama’s discussion, and one official, speaking on background, conceded that Netanyahu will justifiably insist on strenuous testing of Iran’s deeds, not mere acceptance of its vow to cooperate."
They rest their nation's hopes on Obama's strength of character and his resolve.

CNN calls this "a risk worth taking"   "Now, it seems, at a time when the president has seen his foreign policy approval numbers hit new lows, he has reverted to his old idea of actively speaking to our enemies as the best way to prove he is not turning away from the region. He has collaborated with circumstances to choose this option in Syria--and Iran."

The Occasional Winston  "Listening to Barack Obama advertise his man crush on Hassan Rouhani makes my skin crawl. Rouhani is a man with whom the United States has many scores to settle but he and the mullahs have Obama’s number, not that it’s all that hard to pick up. Fresh off his diplomatic “triumph” in Syria, Obama is all but shrieking: “I am a chicken ripe to be plucked.' ”  Scott Johnson
Here is some historical contrast for you in sizing up world leaders:

Peggy Noonan in the Wall Street Journal: A Small President on the World Stage

A Small President on the World Stage ; At the U.N., leaders hope for a return of American greatness.
"That is the takeaway from conversations the past week in New York, where world leaders gathered for the annual U.N. General Assembly session. "....

..."The second takeaway of the week has to do with a continued decline in admiration for the American president. Barack Obama's reputation among his fellow international players has deflated, his stature almost collapsed. In diplomatic circles, attitudes toward his leadership have been declining for some time, but this week you could hear the disappointment, and something more dangerous: the sense that he is no longer, perhaps, all that relevant."
"World leaders are very negative about Obama," he said. They are "disappointed, feeling he's not really in charge. . . . The Western Europeans don't pay that much attention to him anymore."
....
"This reminded me of a talk a few weeks ago, with another veteran diplomat who often confers with leaders with whom Mr. Obama meets. I had asked: When Obama enters a room with other leaders, is there a sense that America has entered the room? I mentioned de Gaulle—when he was there, France was there. When Reagan came into a room, people stood: America just walked in. Does Mr. Obama bring that kind of mystique?

" 'No," he said. "It's not like that.' "

A nation gets the leaders it deserves.
