CBS, NBC Ignore Alex Trebek Crediting Prayer For Cancer Recovery

Daily Wire  . . . " 'I told the doctors, this has to be more than just chemo," he told the outlet. "I've had a couple million people out there who expressed their good thoughts, their positive energy and their prayers. The doctors said it could very well be an important part of this."

"According to Newsbusters, both "NBC Nightly News" and "CBS Evening News" edited those parts about prayer out of their broadcasts last week while ABC's "World News Tonight" included them. For context, here is how ABC reported on Trebek's recovery, explicitly mentioning that he not only called for fans to pray for him but also credited his fans' prayers for his survival:" . . .

"Over at NBC, Trebek's quotes were specifically edited to eliminate the word prayers by including an ellipsis in its place. So rather than the full quote, NBC reported it as follows: "I’ve got a couple million people out there who have expressed good thoughts… I told the doctors this has to be more than just the chemo."
. . .
"Exactly why NBC and CBS did not include Trebek's use of the word prayer remains unknown at this time. It does, however, speak to a broader cultural trend that looks down upon the words "thoughts and prayers" during a time of crisis. When actor Chris Pratt announced on Twitter he was "praying" for director Kevin Smith in the wake of a horrible heart attack, leftists attacked him mercilessly." . . .

North Korea SHOCK: 'Purged official' REAPPEARS with Kim Jong Un amid execution fears

Ian Macfarlane
UK Express  "Kim Yong Chol – North Korea’s top nuclear negotiator in the recent talks with the US – was reportedly punished over the failed summit in Hannoi in February. South Korean newspaper Chosun Ilbo last week claimed that the senior official had been sentenced to hard labour and ideological re-education. However, on Monday, Kim Yong Chol was shown on KRT – one of North Korea’s state broadcasting channels – sitting just five seats away from the Supreme Leader."
"A NORTH Korean official feared to have been "purged" over the failed nuclear talks with Washington was seen at a concert with leader Kim Jong Un."
"The two were pictured at a concert held by the wives of various Korean People’s Army Officers – appearing to contrast Chosun Ilbo’s report.
"It also alleged that five other officials involved in talks with Washington were executed for betraying Kim Jong Un – but the veracity of this is now in doubt.
"The original report came from an anonymous source – but was not matched by any media or government officials in Seoul.
"Lee Sang-min of Seoul's Unification Ministry – which deals with inter-Korean affairs – said the ministry would not comment on a "specific internal event in North Korea or its participants" when asked about the reappearance." . . .

Somalis have Changed Minneapolis. UPDATED

Update
Hat tip to Cappy Mann
But Ilhan Omar wears such pretty head scarves when she’s raising money for the Muslim Brotherhood."

Sunny Lohman  "Everyone not lying to themselves predicted when the federal government under Bill Clinton – aided and abetted by Lutheran Social Services, Catholic Charities and World Relief Minnesota -- plopped 30,000 Somalis down into the midst of the kind, virtue-signaling, eager-to-help Midwesterners of Minneapolis (of which I am one) that it would lead to some grave consequences for our community.

"Now, due to continuing refugee placements as well as chain migration there are an estimated 80,000 Somalis living in the Twin Cities metro area, or more like 79,000 if you subtract those who’ve left the country to join terrorist organizations like ISIS.
"Anyhoo, here’s a week Minneapolitans had with their Somali neighbors last month:
"On Wednesday, May 15th a couple of University students were attacked on campus at the East Bank Train station by two Somali thugs. It was an attempted robbery that the guys rebuffed sustaining injuries that required a hospital visit.
"On Thursday, May 16th two Somalis burned down the pavilion at Lake Calhoun [or Lake Bde Maka Ska if you’re a virtue signaler) an eating and hanging out meeting place in the heart of the city enjoyed by generations of Americans around the prettiest city lake you’ve ever seen. This is in the most expensive neighborhood in Minneapolis." . . .

. . . "I’m not sure what it would take for Minneapolitans to wake up and stop being so suicidal with their multiculturalism. Terrorism, arson, violent crime, murder, corruption, fraud, female oppression is apparently not enough." . . .
And these people vote, sending Democrats like, oh, Keith Ellison, Ilhan Omar and Muslims-to-be-named-later to the US Congress. If history and culture are any guide you can expect many Sharia no-go zones in Minneapolis. TD

Donna Brazile goes too far on Fox News, claims Russia is the reason Hillary not elected president

Thomas Lifson  "At what point does Fox News pull the plug when a featured talking head spouts a discredited conspiracy theory?
"Donna Brazile, who forever discredited herself as corrupt when she supplied debate questions in advance to her former boss, Hillary Clinton, and was fired by CNN for it, found a new home at Fox News as one of their “contributors” (people paid to be available a certain number of hours for on-air commentary). But in an appearance over the weekend, she made the argument that Hillary Clinton only lost because of Russian interference – a contention for which there is no evidence whatsoever: (hat tip: Daily Caller)"

"I realize that Fox News needs to have a certain number of progressives on air in order to maintain its stance of being “fair and balanced.” I am not one of those who prefer to hear onbly those views with which I agree.  But surely Fox News can find someone on the left who can string together a few coherent sentences and present the progressive view without lying. Someone who is not known for corruption and betrayal of trust of her former broadcast employer.
"I understand that Donna Brazile is personally quite charming at an individual level, and probably is a welcome visitor to the green room. But not making waves with staff should not outweigh spouting false, discredited claims. As far as I am concerned Ms. Brazile has worn out her welcome."

Impeach! Or be devoured by the left!

Rich Terrell
Impeachment Fever: Democrats whip themselves into a frenzy  . . . "Meanwhile, over at the Democrats' top propaganda arms, MSNBC, we have guests complaining that it's impossible to get onto the network unless they promise to talk about impeachment. No other topic is to be broached. And for those who do, 'no T.V. for you.' CNN is beating the drum hard for impeachment, too, giving lots of airtime to professors and more professors calling for it." . . .

San Fran Nan comes home to California! Is the witch melting? Nancy Pelosi gets all weak-kneed at leftist screams to 'Impeach!'   . . . "But now, she's growing soft, and one wonders if her story is about to shift. Will she bow to the Ocasio-Cortez left now that her California Democrats have serenaded her with their screams? She might well find herself eaten for breakfast if they get their way, and yet she's yielding to them." . . .

Pregnancy Doesn’t Kill, Warren Hern Does

Mike Adams "Several days ago, I saw a headline come through my Facebook feed that was so absurd I assumed it was satire. Unfortunately, the headline that read, “Pregnancy
Kills, Abortion Saves Lives” was real. It was from a New York Times op-ed written by late-term abortionist Warren M. Hern. Dr. Hern is the author of a book called Abortion Practice, which I read in January of this year as I prepared to debate another abortionist named Willie Parker.

"I had decided to read Hern’s book because he dedicates an entire chapter to describing in detail how to perform abortions. He focuses his rather graphic descriptions on procedures performed between 6 and 24 weeks gestation. This was perfect preparation for my debate with Parker who performs abortions between 6 and 25 weeks gestation.

"Much of what Hern describes pertains to specific stages of pregnancy. But he initially offers some descriptions of surgical problems that are common to different stages of gestation. This is a general description of how dilation and evacuation (D&E) procedures deal with the problem of evacuating the head of the unborn, given its disproportionate size relative to other body parts:

. . . Upon getting his doctorate in 1993, Mike Adams, then an atheist and a Democrat, was hired by UNC-Wilmington to teach in the criminal justice program. A few years later, Adams abandoned his atheism and also became a Republican. He also nearly abandoned teaching when he took a one-year leave of absence to study law at UNC-Chapel Hill in 1998." . . .

Trump's new hairdo? Apparently fake news.

Don Surber   . . . The newspaper reported, "Trump made an unannounced stop at the McLean Bible Church in Virginia after leaving his private golf club in nearby Sterling.
" 'Wearing khakis and a jacket over a polo shirt and holding a golf hat, Trump was applauded by the congregation as he arrived at the church.
" 'Trump stood with his head bowed as pastor David Platt offered a prayer for the 12 killed in Friday’s mass shooting.
" 'The president did not address the congregation but mouthed 'thank you' as he left the stage.
" 'His appearance attracted much attention on social media after dozens noticed his wet-look hairdo."
"Not since Lincoln grew a beard has a president changed this much."
