Victor Davis Hanson Presents The Case for Trump

"Conservatives should vote for the Republican nominee."

National Review  . . . "What has always been missing to end the long public career of Hillary Clinton is a four- or five-percentage-point boost from a mélange of the so-called Never Trump Republicans, as well as women and suburban, college-educated independents. Winning back some of these critics could translate into a one- or two-point lead over Clinton in critical swing states.

"Those who are soured on Trump certainly can cite lots of understandable reasons for their distaste. . . He is damned as an opportunistic chameleon, not a true conservative. Trump’s personal and professional life has been lurid — as, again, we were reminded by the media-inspired release of a hot-mic tape of past Trump crude sexual braggadocio. The long campaigning has confirmed Trump as often uncouth — insensitive to women and minorities. He has never held office. His ignorance of politics often embarrasses those in foreign- and domestic-policy circles. Trump’s temperament is mercurial . . ."

Mr. Hanson now makes the case that we all know must be made:

. . . "The issue, then, at this late date is not necessarily Trump per se, but the fact that he will bring into power far more conservatives than would Hillary Clinton. No one has made a successful argument to challenge that reality." . . .

The Problem Is Not the Presidential Candidates

Among the greatest fears of those who founded our constitutional republic was that the powerful new office they were creating, the President of the United States, could be a path to authoritarianism and eventual tyranny. Much of the deliberation over the drafting and adoption of the new Constitution was dedicated to ensuring adequate safeguards against that possibility.

Andrew C. McCarthy  "We should always be on guard against presentism, but in this instance I do not hesitate to say that the upcoming presidential election is the most alarming in American history. I can make that statement with confidence because I do not believe the most disturbing aspect of the election is the choice of candidates – even though the two major party nominees present the worst choice the American people have faced in my lifetime (Eisenhower was president when I was born), and perhaps ever.

"The reason this is such a frightening election is that the Constitution’s mechanisms for reining in or ousting a rogue president are in tatters.

"We are not supposed to have transformative elections, contests that will forever change our system of government or enable government to orchestrate cultural upheaval. The Constitution is supposed to be our guarantee against that." . . .

Vegas Gun Store Holds 'Pre-Hillary' Gun Sale

PJ Media

"Westside Armory in Las Vegas is having a "Pre-Hillary" gun sale, predicting a surge in firearm purchases should the anti-Second Amendment Clinton win the election in November. Get on in there before the price gouging starts!
The Las Vegas gun store Westside Armory is predicting a Hillary Clinton victory in November, and it has a message for customers: Buy now, because things are going to get expensive.
In an advertisement over the weekend in the Las Vegas Review-Journal, Westside Armory said it was holding a “Pre-Hillary Sale” on tactical rifles, warning of a price surge if the Democratic nominee wins the presidential election next month.
“Don’t wait!” the advertisement reads. “Prices will skyrocket after Crooked Hillary gets in.”

The End of the Stupid Father Era....well, for a time, I guess

61 Things You Never Knew About the Cast, Characters, and Production of Bonanza
This was fact number 55 in the collection. Now the stupid males are back in force in commercials and dramas.

"Before Bonanza debuted in 1959 there was a common theme among TV shows. The men played bumbling morons who could only support their family with the leadership of their wives. Creators wanted to make sure that Ben Cartwright was a loved and respected father figure who was working hard to support his family and give his children a good life. The idea worked and soon teenage boys all over the country were writing to the show’s studio to say they wanted Ben to be their father."

Video: Democrats using trained provocateurs to instigate violence at Trump rallies. (Language)

Caution, strong language advisory.
What a campaign can do when it has a lot of money.

Joe Newby, via Project Veritas  "Do liberal Democrats want violence this election season?  It sure looks that way.  A video released Monday by James Okeefe’s Project Veritas shows Democrats using trained provocateurs to instigate violence at GOP rallies in an effort to bring about anarchy.
"And it seems the plot to incite violence goes all the way up to the Clinton campaign and the DNC.
. . . "According to O’Keefe, this is just part one.  The corruption, he said, goes all the way up to the White House and it appears there’s evidence of criminality on the part of the left.
This is a must-see.  Now we know just how corrupt the Democrat Party is and how far the left is willing to go to win.  And naturally, the Democrat-media complex will do their bidding."

"Carolina Panthers’ Cam Newton is known for his game tradition of giving the ball away to a fan in the stands after he scores a touchdown.

"But in this week’s game, he had no idea just how special that game ball would be when he handed it to 6-year-old Colin Toler.

"What Newton didn’t know is that Colin had just lost his dad." . . .

Trump vs. the Hillarymedia

There are way too many coincidences in assaults on Trump  " . . .None of this addresses the truth of these charges. Clinton has often said female victims of sexual predators should be believed by default. Unless it seems they’re accusing her husband. She attacked them.
"What this sordid chapter does address is a pattern of perfectly timed video embarrassments against Clinton opponents. Barack Obama, now her staunch proponent, faced a series of leaked videos of his preacher’s racist, anti-Semitic sermons."

The Commission on Presidential Debates systematically screws over Republicans -- but especially one named Donald Trump.  . . . "With this kind of establishment firepower in place at the commission, somebody like Donald Trump could never ever expect to be treated fairly."

Donna Brazile and other Wikileaks evidence of media collusion with Hillary being buried by MSM   "Media’s greatest fear is that the election could turn out to be a referendum on the media."

#WomenWhoVoteTrump: Meet Female voters who continue supporting Trump

Legal Insurrection

“I prefer to be offended by him on occasion than be left for dead by Hillary.”

li-37-tammy-bruce

"During the past week-and-a-half, the elite media has been on a mission to obliterate Donald Trump’s candidacy with late-coming charges by women whose stories are being challenged by people in positions to know the truth.

"On the other hand, the coverage of the WikiLeaks information related to Hillary Clinton, her Goldman Sachs speeches, the Clinton Foundation’s corruption, the war on Bill Clinton’s accusers, the war on Catholics, collusion with the Department of Justice, and the media collusion with her campaign has been dripping out slowly. Fortunately for the Republican candidate, the American people’s trust in the American press is such that Google searches for the term “Wikileaks” has dwarfed the searches related to the Trump scandal.

"How is the ginned-up Trump scandal actually impacting women voters? While my vote has remained unchanged, I was interested in what other female supporters were saying.

"Fox News pundit and conservative talk show host Tammy Bruce appeared on Face the Nation, and shared her thoughts:"

Eric Holder named to lead effort to destroy GOP after Hillary wins the presidency

We in the opposition would become the Washington Generals of American politics.

Thomas Lifson  "This election is for keeps: plans are being implemented, with President Obama already signed on, staff hired, and money being raised.  Perhaps lulled into complacency by the MSM polls, the Democrats have already constructed and staffed their strategy to permanently disable the Republican Party.  Eric Holder is the perfect henchman, a man above nothing in his quest for political dominance, unbound by old-fashioned concepts of justice.
"The GOP will remain in existence as the token opposition, useful for legitimizing the actual one-party regime, the essential element of the election rituals reminding us of the Republic we once enjoyed.
"Edward Isaac-Dovere of Politico has the scoop:
As Democrats aim to capitalize on this year’s Republican turmoil and start building back their own decimated bench, former Attorney General Eric Holder will chair a new umbrella group focused on redistricting reform—with the aim of taking on the gerrymandering that’s left the party behind in statehouses and made winning a House majority far more difficult.
The new group, called the National Democratic Redistricting Committee, was developed in close consultation with the White House. President Barack Obama himself has now identified the group—which will coordinate campaign strategy, direct fundraising, organize ballot initiatives and put together legal challenges to state redistricting maps—as the main focus of his political activity once he leaves office.
