It’s Good to Be Oppressed: Race Huckster Ibram X. Kendi Gets Paid $207 Per Minute for University Lecture

PJ Media

"The leading intellectual light behind the Critical Race Theory that has already severely damaged racial harmony in the United States and is corroding American society itself, Ibram X. Kendi, has discovered the fundamental truth of our absurd age: the quickest path to elite status and highly lucrative remuneration is to be oppressed, victimized, and marginalized. Kendi has mastered the art of parlaying his alleged oppression into big bucks, fawning coverage from the establishment media, and respect and influence in the academic world. Many others have done this, but none with the breathtaking audacity and extraordinary success of Ibram X. Kendi.

"Kendi graciously granted an audience recently to the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee (UWM), where he trained faculty and students in racial resentment and baseless grievance-mongering. A savvy and unabashed capitalist in service of Communism, he also took the opportunity to promote a few of his bestselling books, which are, of course, about how to sow racial resentment and indulge in baseless grievance-mongering.

"The sage intellectual was generous with his precious time, but Kendi is no Gandhi: the university had to shell out top dollar for the privilege of having the chance to bask in his serene presence. In order to be able to present “An Evening with Dr. Ibram X. Kendi: How to Be An Antiracist,” UWM paid the scholar $40,000, plus $3,500 more to cover his flight, hotel, and meals. Given the time that Kendi spent at UWM, according to The Federalist, this works out to about $207 per minute, which is not at all a bad wage for a few short hours sowing hatred, bitterness and suspicion." . . .

House of Representatives Votes to Eradicate Blasphemy Against Islam

Four pro-Islam votes, may we assume?

Arvind Kumar  "The House of Representatives has passed a bill that seeks to eradicate blasphemy against Islam.  The bill, H.R. 5665, is truly remarkable as it amounts to Congress making a law respecting the establishment of Islam and reducing the United States government into a tool of the world’s ayatollahs.

"The actual text of the bill not only seeks to eradicate blasphemy against Islam around the world – and solely against Islam at that – but even requires the federal government to reorganize some portions of the State Department along the lines of an Islamic religious institution which will be responsible for interpreting the Quran.  For example, the text of the bill mandates that “[t]he Secretary of State shall establish within the Department of State an Office” and the “purpose” of the office is described as “[m]onitoring and combating acts of Islamophobia and Islamophobic incitement that occur in foreign countries.”  That is, the State Department is required to create an office that is a cross between George Orwell’s Big Brother and the Taliban.

"The word ‘combat’ in the text of the law is problematic but fits in perfectly with the concept of waging violent jihad against the countries deemed to have committed blasphemy against Islam.  Almost every dictionary defines the word primarily as an action pertaining to war.  While the internet firm Google’s dictionary defines 'combat’ as “fighting between armed forces,” Cambridge Dictionary defines the word as “a fight, especially during a war.”  According to Collins Dictionary, “combat is fighting that takes place in a war.”  This is no hyperbole as the State Department has a long history of supporting Islamic terrorists such as Osama bin Laden, the Taliban, Al Qaeda, and ISIS.  Former Assistant Secretary of State, Robin Raphel, ran her office as though it were an outpost of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan and she lost her security clearance when she was investigated for counterintelligence activities.  Little wonder then that Newt Gingrich, the former Speaker of the House, used the term “Rogue State Department” and President Donald Trump described the State Department as the “Deep State Department.” " . . .

Would THIS be "blasphemy?

Dare anyone post this?  Did you know that in 2021, of the top 50 countries in which persecution of Christians has been documented to be the worst, 34 of them are Islamic?

But let us not lose perspective on this because of the above: In the eighteen years since 9/11, the American Muslim community has borne the collective brunt of negative media portrayals from cable news to Hollywood movies.

. . ."Of all the minority groups analyzed, the Middlebury researchers found that Muslims were by far the most negatively portrayed minority in America today. “In brief,” they wrote, “our analyses show that coverage of Muslims stands out as being both the most frequent and the most negative by a wide margin. This is principally due to reporting on foreign conflict zones.” While politics and education tended to be the most common themes of overall coverage for any minority group, researchers found that media stories which focused on culture were generally associated with the most positivity. On the flip side, the researchers noted that media stories which focused on law and order or national security were most closely linked to negativity.

"The researchers also found that US newspaper coverage of Muslims was “significantly more negative in tone” than overall coverage of African-Americans, Asian-Americans, Latinos, or Jewish people, although they observed that the average tone of Muslim articles had become less intensely negative over the previous five years." . .

Plus there are no visible "Beto O'Rourke's" among Muslims.

‘The View’ is Struggling to Find a New Republican Host

"Why can't we find a conservative who will never say anything to make us uncomfortable but also isn't a boring NeverTrumper who isn't actually really conservative anyway?"

Legal Insurrection

“Sources close to the show said that the search has stalled as executives struggle to find a conservative cast-member who checks all the right boxes.”

"Since the departure of Meghan McCain, ‘The View’ has been struggling to find a replacement for her. Their search criteria may be a little too narrow.

"They don’t want a never-Trumper who will just agree with all the other hosts, but they also don’t want a woman who could be described as a Trump supporter." . . .

. . . The problem is that their search is too specific:

Sources close to the show said that the search has stalled as executives struggle to find a conservative cast-member who checks all the right boxes. They will not consider a Republican who is a denier of the 2020 election results, embraced the January 6 riots, or is seen as flirting too heavily with fringe conspiracy theories or the MAGA wing of the GOP. But at the same time, the host must have credibility with mainstream Republicans, many of whom still support DONALD TRUMP.

"The report says the show wanted to recruit Kat Timpf, Greg Gutfeld’s libertarian sidekick of FOX News, but she wisely turned them down, which leads to an obvious question. Who would want this job?

"Whoever gets the ‘conservative’ role on this show is going to end up being constantly insulted and demeaned by Joy Behar and Whoopi Goldberg." . . .

‘You Unparalleled Boob’: Biden Blasted For Finally Pushing COVID Back To States

“And yet you spent the pandemic yelling at Ron DeSantis for saying the same thing, you unparalleled boob. Also, perhaps you should end your unconstitutional federal vaxx mandates, Captain There Is No Federal Solution,” The Daily Wire’s Ben Shapiro tweeted.

Conservative Brief  "Joe Biden admitted on Monday that there was “no federal solution” to the COVID-19 pandemic and that these challenges should be addressed at the state level.

"While speaking at the COVID-19 response team’s call with the National Governors Association, Arkansas Republican Gov. Asa Hutchinson spoke about the challenges his state has faced while addressing the pandemic.

"“And so one word of concern or encouragement for your team is that as you look towards federal solutions that will help alleviate the challenge, make sure that we do not let federal solution stand in the way of state solutions,” Hutchinson said. “And the production of 500 million rapid tests that will be distributed by the federal government is great. But obviously, that dries up the supply chain for the solutions that we might offer as governor.”

"Biden responded, “Look, there is no federal solution. This gets solved at the state level.” . . .

What Britain has to say about the U.S. President:  'He's trying to avoid blame for his incompetence': GOP slams Biden after he said 'there is no federal solution' to combating COVID despite previously promising to 'shut down the virus' as cases hit highest level since January despite mask and vax mandates

Biden was meeting Monday with 25 of the nation's governors - a mix of Republicans and Democrats - where he addressed the ongoing pandemic.

After his speech, Biden asked White House Coronavirus Response Coordinator Jeffrey Zients to open to the floor to questions from the governors.

However, before taking any questions, Zients quickly booted the press from the room, saying: 'I think we're going to clear the press first.'

It's the latest instance of White House staffers appearing to shield the gaffe-prone president from the press. Last week, Biden cut short questions after a speech, saying: 'I'm not supposed to be having this press conference.'

Daily Mail comments accuse the GOP of deceptively editing Biden's remarks. That would be disturbing if so because we must be better than Democrats. TD

'Let's go, Brandon' is much more than a cheesy nickname for Biden

When I place my three-inch sticker with Joe smiling, pointing, and saying "I did that!" next to the price on the gasoline pump, I have a feeling of Americanism surge through my body.  When I put the larger "Let's Go Brandon" sticker wherever I wish, I feel I have struck a blow for America as a constitutional republic.

Christopher Garbacz  "In a recent Salon article, Matthew Rozsa attempted to fold "Let's go, Brandon," into the long history of "insulting presidential nicknames."  Aside from telling the risible falsehood that NBC's Kelli Stavast mistook a quite clear chant of "F--- Joe Biden" for "Let's Go, Brandon," Rozsa would have us believe that this is just another derogatory insult directed solely at the president, irrespective of what he stood for.  That seriously underestimates the broad reach of that slogan, born from a desperately unhappy year for Americans.

"In fact, "Let's go, Brandon" and its predecessor chant, "F--- Joe Biden," are directed to the core of D.C.'s central control of most everything that's gone wrong since January 20, 2021: inflation, regulation, taxes, debt, government policy failure, COVID mandates, wide-open borders, abortion, the botched Afghanistan withdrawal, Critical Race Theory, trans/gay this and that, and all the other assaults on America, both large and small.  It's America's response to pervasive D.C. control.

"You really can't say "F--- Joe Biden" very effectively outside a sports stadium.  But the euphemism that one hapless NBC reporter created while she was trying to protect Joe Biden is classic.  It fills a vacuum, and it has long legs.  It isn't going away.

"Why is the slogan so powerful?  Partly, it's powerful, as noted above, because it's a reaction to Biden's "central government gone wild," with all the inevitable terrible results. . ."

‘Delta Karen’ Is Former ‘Baywatch’ Actress And Playboy Model Arrested By FBI, Faces Federal Charges

Hollywood continues to be America's source for wisdom and tolerance.

JournalPosts

"As noted yesterday, an unhinged woman named Patricia Cornwall was reportedly arrested by the FBI and faces federal assault charges after she viciously attacked a man for not wearing a mask during a meal on a Delta flight, punching, scratching, and spitting on him while she, herself, remained unmasked.

"The story gets even more bizarre and one wonders exactly how much the woman had to drink before the assault. She is an ex-Raiders cheerleader, a former Playboy model, an ex-Baywatch actress, and a realtor who worked for Coldwell Banker and Berkshire Hathaway in California. Cornwall, 51, recently moved to Florida according to Heavy.com.

"The assault took place on a Delta flight Thursday night from Tampa to Atlanta. When the plane landed the “Delta Karen” was taken into custody.

"It all began when she took offense to an 80-year-old man who took off his mask to eat and drink while he was in his seat. She approached the man with her mask hanging under her chin, demanding that he mask up. The elderly gentleman then let loose a tirade of expletives at the woman, calling her a “Karen” and she returned the foul-mouthed insults with her own.

"As they verbally sparred, the encounter descended into physical violence. The woman not only assaulted the man repeatedly but injured at least one crew member and a number of passengers while being pulled off the unidentified man. It is unclear how the crew member and passengers were injured." . . .

Omicron: Haven’t We Been Here Before?

"Honestly, no one knows for sure how or when this all ends."

Above and below: https://www.terrellaftermath.com/

From The American Spectator   "The emergence of the Omicron variant has breathed new life into the covid panic machine, and just in time for the birth of Christ! Doesn’t it feel like we have been here before? I don’t know about you, but I am having serious déjà vu. We’re entering an all too familiar pattern: a new covid mutation emerges, the left-leaning media panics prematurely, their government puppets threaten citizens with a new round of mandates, and none of it makes much of a difference in the natural cycle of something as infectious as a coronavirus. The prompt from the leftist elites is becoming as predictable as the sunrise. The difference is that now, for better or worse, most people just seem completely over it.

"Being completely over it isn’t necessarily a good thing. Don’t get me wrong, I have argued since the early days of the pandemic that the response of local and federal officials has often been draconian, anti-science, and actually abusive in many instances. I’ll stand by those viewpoints, because they keep being vindicated, both scientifically and morally. That said, we are still in a pandemic, and you should still take reasonable precautions to protect yourself from illness. In other words, you should behave as reasonable humans have since the beginning of our species’ existence. What you shouldn’t do is saturate your brain with leftist-induced panic porn. It doesn’t serve the public health well. It’s also not great for mental health either. Some of you need Lexapro much more than you need masks.

"The anxiety many are feeling (and some are profiting from) stems from the unknown. Almost two years into covid, and there is still so much that is not known. That’s frustrating." . . .

Pope Fauci Now Wants Everyone Vaxxed For Air Travel…   "(Bloomberg) — President Joe Biden’s medical adviser said a domestic travel vaccination rule should be considered as the omicron variant fuels record Covid-19 case loads in some states and holiday travel continues to be disrupted around the U.S." . . .
