Destroying America's Moral Fiber

"This is occurring as America witnesses the most gay-friendly administration in its history. The appointment by President Obama of Kevin Jennings to a position in the Department of Education is an example. Jennings helped introduce Bill 4530 in Congress that would require the normalization of homosexuality, transgenderism, cross-dressing and other behaviors into the curriculums of schools from coast to coast. California has introduced legislation mandating such views in its schools."
....
"The nation’s economic problems can be fixed and we can ensure a strong defense, but the moral rot that is occurring with every passing day will destroy America from within more surely than any external enemy could hope for. "  Alan Caruba

Flashback Obama in 2010: New Jobs Plan after Vacation

"“Next week, I will be laying out a series of steps that Congress can take immediately to put more money in the pockets of working families and middle-class families, to make it easier for small businesses to hire people, to put construction crews to work rebuilding our nation’s roads and railways and airports, and all the other measures that can help to grow this economy,” Obama said on Monday at a Rose Garden ceremony for new Council of Economic Advisors Chairman Alan Krueger."

Israeli Columnist Shreds “Disaster Called Obama” In Oped

NiceDeb   "He doesn’t say anything, we, in the conservative blogosphere haven’t already said, but this is a pretty decent rant, deserving of your attention:
Barack Obama is solidifying his status as the worst president in American history. The leader who promised us a bright future of peace and fraternity is leading the American empire – and the rest of the world with it – into a dark abyss. Ever since he settled into the Oval Office, Obama has been hopping from one disaster to the next, making every possible mistake, boosting enemies and disregarding allies while ruining everything he touches in the process. To our regret, the heaviest price – for the time being at least – is being paid by residents of the Middle East.

And here: Op-ed: Israel should not be deterred by psychological warfare from White House "Will Prime Minister Netanyahu leverage this unique American support, defying pressure and solidifying Israel's posture of deterrence in the face of an unpredictably violent Middle East, where concessions breed radicalism, terrorism and war? Or, will he succumb to the psychological warfare launched by the White House?"

Ron Paul: 9/11 Attacks Product of U.S. Foreign Policy (Isn't that the position of Code Pink?)

Weekly Standard  " “I don’t see Islam as our enemy,” Paul said. “I see that motivation is occupation and those who hate us and would like to kill us, they are motivated by our invasion of their land, the support of their dictators that they hate.” "

Ron Paul says U.S. intervention motivated 9/11 attacks " “(9/11) was one of the main motivations for getting your attention on why they hate us and want to kill us,” he said. “You could send 20 million people over there and all it would do is make our problems worse.” "

From RealClearPolitics: Ron Paul's Foreign Policy Predicament  "Paul likely will have a difficult time making his case effectively on international and military affairs to many of the voters who might otherwise be inclined to support him on the home front.
""I think what brought the tea party together were domestic economic issues -- the health care bill, the tax issue," Curtis said. "When it comes to foreign policy, the opinions become more diverse. Some take a very narrow view and would like to see the U.S. take a more isolationist view when it comes to foreign policy, whereas others feel strongly about providing for the common defense and preventing future terrorist attacks.""

From The Foreign Policy Initiative   "Continuing to include Paul and his mob of vocal supporters at Republican debates makes the GOP look unserious. It would be as if Bernie Sanders were allowed to grace the stage at Democratic-party events and promote his socialist vision for America to a cheering crowd. "
"Compounding the problem, some in the Tea Party movement now seem to be following Paul’s recipe for American decline".....

Ron Paul on Israel  "...he believes that we should NEVER try to use our influence to stop Israel from defending herself. Ron Paul refused to vote to condemn Israel during the 2006 war with Lebanon. And he will never try to pressure Israel into accepting a “land for peace” compromise before the Israelis themselves decide."

NO SURPRISE HERE - OBAMA SNUBS MILITARY AGAIN

Obama Snubs VFW: First Time In Group’s History White House Not Sending Senior Official To Veterans Convention…  The Fox article via Weasel Zippers
“It is an insult of the highest magnitude that for the first time in the history of the VFW, the White House has apparently decided that this great and iconic organization of combat veterans and all of its members are not worthy of its notice by not at least offering a first-tier speaker from the administration.”
Blackfive has this:  ...."All of this hubub may just be window dressing, if you recall the snafu of the VFW PAC in the runup to the 2010 electoral season. By this, I mean that most of those addressing the VFW this convention are Republican, while ALL, or nearly all, of the speakers addressing the Legion, are Democrats. This is certainly an interesting situation."

Rick Moran: Administration's Tin Ear  "I find it very revealing that the administration considers the UN Ambassador a "first tier" speaker. And the other speakers offered by Obama are minor functionaries, perhaps worthy of speaking at a Jaycee's meeting or a Chamber of Commerce breakfast but not the national convention of combat veterans.
"One more group needlessly insulted by this arrogant, tone deaf administration."

Drawing the Wrong Lessons from the British Riots — Again

Liberal pundits hold rioters harmless by falsely applying the "racism" argument to excuse their behavior.
"Putting 16,000 police into the streets of Britain finally brought an end to the current spate of riots. But rest assured, when Britain’s next riot commission report is issued, there will be a call for more social programs of the type that is bringing all of Europe to the edge of economic implosion. Indeed, former Prime Minister Tony Blair, on August 22, 2011, called for massive social intervention to respond to the conditions that “caused” the riots. We’ve heard it all before."
