Davidson College in North Carolina Bans Chick-fil-A

Newsmax   "Students began a protest and collected nearly 500 signatures in an online petition calling for the school to stop serving Chick-fil-A at campus sanctioned events

"Davidson doesn't have a Chick-fil-A on campus but the company's food was served on campus events occasionally. Some colleges have protested the restaurants being on campus but none has banned the business."

Romania’s 20-Year Nightmare: Unraveling Socialized Health Care

By Ion Mihai Pacepa
The former general's most interesting bio

"There is no better way to visualize the eventual disaster that a nationalized health care system can generate than to watch The Death of Mr. LazarescuThis movie was inspired by the heartbreaking true story of Constantin Nica, a real retired Romanian engineer who had the misfortune of growing old in a country that still maintained a nightmarish government health care bureaucracy twenty years after its last Communist dictator was gunned down by his own people.
"The movie’s script follows the fictional Mr. Lazarescu as a Romanian government ambulance shuttles him from one government-owned hospital to the next. At the first three hospitals, although the doctors determine that he does need surgery, the government bureaucracy refuses to take him in because he is too old and does not have enough money to give baksheesh to the hospital personnel. Mr. Lazarescu stubbornly refuses to give up, but at the fourth hospital, the evil bureaucrats win — he dies after a delayed and botched surgery."

Rich Lowry confronts Rachael Maddow; why don't conservative candidates fight back at the liberal press like this?

Newt Gingrich of all the Republican candidates, was the only one who could be depended on to throw challenges back at the MSM. Are the Republicans afraid that these people won't like them if they stand up to them?

"She's touted by the liberal media as one of the brightest commentators on television, yet MSNBC's Rachel Maddow got thoroughly demolished by National Review editor Rich Lowry on Sunday's Meet the Press
"When continually asked by Lowry to defend the President's $700 billion Medicare cuts in ObamaCare, Maddow repeatedly refused making herself look tremendously foolish." ....

"Well, maybe if she had answered Lowry's simple question concerning whether or not she supports the $700 billion of Medicare cuts in ObamaCare she could look forward to praise for her appearance.
"Instead, by ducking the issue she exposed herself as a Democrat shill with no business anchoring a television show on a so-called "news network." "

Paul Ryan and the Obamedia Illustrated

Media Bias History Repeating Itself Against Romney-Ryan   "Bias: As powerful as Romney's choice of Paul Ryan is, the mainstream media's power — from moderating the debates to censoring interviews — is being wielded against it. Fortunately, Ryan has a potent weapon: the truth."

The Top 10 Most Outrageous Media Attacks Against Paul Ryan   "Now that Representative Paul Ryan (R-Wis.) has been named Mitt Romney's running mate in the upcoming presidential election, we can expect the Democrats and the media to set new lows in their attacks on him.
"Unfortunately, over the years, liberally biased journalists have had plenty of practice. Here's our look at the top 10 most outrageous media attacks on Paul Ryan."

Christie to deliver keynote address at GOP convention

American Thinker "An excellent choice. Christie is not a bombthrower or name caller, but he is an extremely forceful, even combative speaker. And for you fans of red meat attacks, I'm sure he won't disappoint.
....
"It will also be announced today that Marco Rubio will introduce Mitt Romney prior to his acceptance speech. Those are two prime slots going to serious presidential contenders in 2016 if Romney is not elected. Of the two, the speech will be more important for Rubio who is not as well known as Christie. The Florida Senator needs to make a good impression with GOP voters and this high profile opportunity shouldn't be squandered."

BUSTED! Soledad O’Brien Caught Using Left-Wing Blog to Slam Ryan

What she's reading from is a TPM article titled
 "
The Myth Of Paul Ryan The Bipartisan Leader"
published Monday at 6:08 PM only a few
 hours before this program started.

Conservative Daily News  "Ali Akbar of Viral Read reported on August 13th that Soledad O’ Brien– while guest hosting for Anderson Cooper– used a Talking Points Memo post to slam Republican Vice Presidential candidate Paul Ryan in an exchange with Virginia House of Delegates member and Romney Senior Campaign Adviser Barbara Comstock:"...

Newsbusters gave this acount:  "Ali Akbar at Viral Read reported Monday:"
During her interview with Virginia House of Delegates Republican member Barbara Comstock, O’Brien became visibly flustered and was actually caught doing finger stress exercises as she attempt [sic] to insert editorial commentary while her guest, a former skilled Republican operative, defended the House GOP budget, designed by Budget Chairman Paul Ryan.
Accidentally, a cameraman captured O’Brien furiously flipping through notes, only to cut out seconds later.
More reasons not to trust O'Brien as a "journalist":
Obama Shill? Soledad O'Brien Says Factually-Correct GOP Claim Was 'Debunked'   "What exactly is Soledad O'Brien arguing? On Monday's Starting Point she slapped away a factual statement that President Obama has cut Medicare funding by $700 billion as "debunked" and "very much political spin." "

CNN’s Soledad O’Brien isn’t used to criticism.   "In the world of media elites, she’s a beloved figure and an award-winning news anchor. But last week, she revealed her true, decidedly non-neutral colors. And she’s not happy about the hoi polloi questioning her hallowed journalistic objectivity.   Michelle Malkin

Soledad O’Brien’s Embarrassing, Biased Interview;... This Is Just The Beginning   "Listen to Soledad O’Brien’s nasty —and defensive of the president— attitude in the interview below. O’Brien isn’t the least bit curious as to why they hid these tapes during the 2008 presidential campaign. Watch her act as nothing more than a propaganda mouthpiece for Barack Obama and the Democrat Party.

Hatred in the Face of the Host!

Logan's Warning
"Muslims stand with Islam above all. One of the ways non-Muslims go out of their way for Islam is to open their doors for Muslims to recite the Islamic prayer. ...."recently Nayyar Imam, the first ever Muslim chaplain at the Suffolk County Police Department, gave the prayer invocation in the US House of Representatives.
...."Besides the anti-Jewish and Christian prayer, the Islamic scriptures instruct Muslims not to befriend Christians and Jews, and also call for Islamic Law to dominate non-Muslims. Now let’s take a close look at what the prayer actually says and means:"...
"....For those who do not know, “those who earned your anger” are the Jews."

WHITE HOUSE IFTAR DINNER
"Interestingly (though hardly surprising), it was relentless attacks by Muslim countries on US ships that was the catalyst to establish the US Navy. That is how Islam is "part of our national story:" "

*Lying (Taqiyya and Kitman) "There are two forms of lying to non-believers that are permitted under certain circumstances, taqiyya and kitman.  These circumstances are typically those that advance the cause Islam - in some cases by gaining the trust of non-believers in order to draw out their vulnerability and defeat them."

"You've already heard from Obama's political operatives that Mitt Romney gave a woman cancer and laughed gleefully at the news of her death. But the same team who produced that fact-free commercial is happily bragging that they are going to be releasing "more incendiary" ads soon - including ones that suggest contact with Mitt Romney causes people to commit suicide. And if that's not bad enough, they claim that they've got other commercials which are even more emotionally inflammatory (or should we say libelous?) "in the can." Which is no doubt where they belong."

Presidential Debate Moderators Named...

American Thinker; Another round of liberal debate moderators
"So, once again, we can look forward to softball questions lobbed toward President Obama, and "Have you stopped beating your wife yet?" -like questions fired at Governor Romney."
(Just wanted to be sure you saw that sentence)....
"We finally have a ticket smart enough to put old media in its rightful place by pointing out and turning around leading, biased questions, blatant lies, nuanced narratives, and forcing Obama to defend his abysmal record. It will be, as Limbaugh might say, a teachable moment. For all we've endured the last four years, it will be welcome comic relief watching two smart men make example of a media that deserves to sink on the ship of its own biased ineptitude. I, for one, intend to enjoy the show."

Rush Limbaugh gives his thoughts on the debate moderaters

Roger L Simon; Remove the Media from the Debates   "I don’t have any idea why the tradition of allowing a biased media to run these events continues. It is a testament to the passivity of the Republican Party. We saw how it worked during the primary season. Now we are going to get a rerun during the main event, with more subtlety and ultimately more subversion.

"But there is something we can do about it even at this late date: protest and protest loudly. In this manner, we highlight the bogus quality of the debates. Even if our candidates perform better than the opposition, continue the protest."  (Emphasis added)

Joshuapundit   "The opening debate will be hosted by
PBS's Jim LehrerOctober 3 in Denver, Colorado.  Lehrer selected this question from an audience member: "Would you be open to the ideal of a national health care plan for everybody?" Another poked George W. Bush: "You seemed to overly enjoy, as a matter of fact proud that Texas...led the nation in execution of prisoners. Sir, did I misread your response, and are you really, really proud of the fact that Texas is number one in executions?" Even Saturday Night Live satirized the bias of the "uncommitted" questioners in 2000.
CNN's Candy Crowley  will moderate the second debate October 16 in Hempstead, New York.
On FNC, Steve Hayes Chides CNN’s Candy Crowley for Considering    Harry Reid ‘Honorable’

Bob Schieffer Falsely Claims Ryan Budget 'Really Slashes Into Social Programs'Schieffer Presses Romney and Ryan With Myth That Wealthy Pay Low Tax Rate

ABC’s Martha Raddatz  will host the vice presidential debate on October 11 in Danville, Ky.

Raddatz gushes over "cool Hillary"   "Let's face it, Hillary is cool. Trending. From the dancing and drinking photos during her trip to Colombia, to the iconic shot of the secretary texting on her C-17."

Her liberalism goes back to 2008, at least; ABC's Martha Raddatz: 'Disappointed' McClellan Didn't Bash Bush Sooner   Raddatz opined that "...she is "disappointed" in former White House Press Secretary Scott McClellan for not slamming the Bush White House sooner.
"....I'm really surprised, too, Robin. And, and disappointed. Because we did hear him day after day after day defending the President, and he did not exactly walk away from this job."

Andrew Klavan simplifies the competing economics plans for us riff-raff

"Anchor: Good evening, this is MSM News. The presidential candidate who murdered Joe Soptic’s wife has chosen for his running mate a man who pushes old ladies in wheelchairs off cliffs. It’s a ticket that some political observers say resembles an episode of Dexter with two murderous psychopaths chasing each other around the room. Observers across the political spectrum from far left to left have condemned Mitt Romney’s choice of the budget-cutting Paul Ryan as a harrowing, blood-soaked event that will leave the bodies of women and the elderly strewn across the political landscape. To discuss this issue, we’ve assembled a team of our most objective journalists. We’ll begin with Candy Crowley from CNN. Candy, you met a Republican once, how is the GOP feeling about this selection?" Read more...
