UPDATED: Biden finished his speech, turned, then walked away

LAUGHABLE: Liberal Media Claims Comedians Just Can’t Find A Way To Make Fun Of Joe Biden   "Joe Biden is a walking, talking punchline just waiting to happen. He forgets where he is, he forgets what he’s saying, he has trouble forming a coherent sentence.
"Yet if you believe the liberal media, it’s just too difficult for comedians to find a way to mock Joe Biden.
"No one believes this. Biden is being protected from mockery because he is so awful that if Saturday Night Live and other partisan comedy shows really went after him, they would destroy him.
"Christian Toto writes at News Busters: . . .

If Joe Biden was a Republican, Saturday Night Live would portray him as a feeble minded, bumbling idiot.Their mockery would be ruthless and it would happen week, after week, after week. Everyone knows this is true.

Rick Moran Letterman writer: Obama 'too competent' to make jokes about  "Newsbusters Brent Baker was following the goings on at a comedy writers' panel that took place in Washington recently that featured Letterman joke writer Bill Scheft who had this to say about why Obama is getting a pass from late night shows:

It's not because he's black and it's not because we're afraid. It's just that he's, just so far, just a little too damn competent and we ain't used to that. [multiple panelists say "yeah."]

CNN and MSNBC Built up That Trump Hate, Now They're Drowning Without Him, Brian Stelter Pitches New Hate Object

Red State

"How are the liberal networks like CNN and MSNBC doing now that they no longer have President Donald Trump to attack anymore to feed the TDS of their liberal viewers?

"How they are doing is badly.

"According to a VIP analysis, while all the networks took a hit, the ratings for both CNN and MSNBC have taken a huge dive."

. . .  "So what are their options? They’re stuck between a rock and a hard place. Saying nice things about Joe Biden and trying to spin him as the second coming when people can clearly see how flawed and deficient he is doesn’t really work. It’s not stoking their hate.

"As we wrote, what did CNN’s Brian Stelter do, he went after Newsmax for their alleged ratings drop post-Trump. Their response was to throw it right back on him and do a stomp all over his head.

“Only CNN would do a story on Newsmax’s drop in ratings when its own Nielsen total day impressions fell by 45% last week compared to the week after the election, and Brian Stelter’s own ‘Reliable Sources’ show fell by 44% over the same period with, more recently, his show having lost nearly 1 million viewers since January of this year.”

"But Stelter is trying to hook onto a new person to sell to his viewers to hate: Tucker Carlson.

"He even proclaimed it on his show, “Tucker Carlson is the new Donald Trump,” literally trying to sell Tucker to his audience as a replacement for Trump. “Tucker has taken Trump’s place as a right-wing leader, an outrage generator, a fire-starter.' ” . . .

CNN’s war on Fox News goes nuclear – with a twist   "CNN’s on again-on again war (that’s not a typo – it never ends) against Fox News is getting hotter, most likely because CNN is once again seriously trailing Fox News in the ratings. Brian Stelter, his network’s leading attack dog, was at it again yesterday on his weekly program CNN Reliable (sic) Sources.

"The program led with a full-frontal attack on Fox News’s most highly rated show, Tucker Carlson Tonight, and its host, veteran reporter, editor, and television talk show host Tucker Carlson. CNN’s online transcript of the program offers this headline:" . . . More...

It was CNN, and Stelter’s program in particular, that assisted in promoting the effort that has now reached the halls of Congress to censor and de-platform Fox News from the country’s cable, satellite, and streaming television providers.

BPR: CNN’s Brian Stelter’s campaign of hate: ‘Tucker Carlson is the new Donald Trump’  . . . "Stelter proceeded to give a heavily biased, even distorted take on a series of recent stories Carlson covered last week, to include his little tiff with the Pentagon, mocking Meghan Markle, and the “berating” of a New York Times reporter.

"Again, while sounding envious of Carlson’s success, he called out the Murdochs.

" 'What Tucker wants is attention. What Rupert Murdoch and Lachlan Murdoch want for him is attention — as this headline put it, he’s the post Trump MAGA champion,” Stelter claimed.

“ 'Fox News is increasingly the Tucker Carlson channel, and the Murdochs recently cut a deal with Tucker to expand his profile on Fox’s streaming service, too,” he ranted on. “It’s ultimately all about the Murdocks and what they want. How they’re going to keep the profits flowing by giving the viewers more and more radicalized content — led by Tucker Carlson.' ” . . .

Gropey Joe punts on Andrew Cuomo

Tony Branco

Monica Showalter  "As New York's Gov. Andrew Cuomo politically immolates in sex-harassment allegations, one guy who's got to be uncomfortable about the entire wretched specter is Gropey Joe Biden.

"Slow Joe's narrative-makers have finally let him come out of his shell with this ridiculous punt of a response:

WASHINGTON (AP) — President Joe Biden on Sunday passed up an opportunity to join other Democrats calling for the resignation of New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo, who is under investigation after multiple allegations of sexual harassment.

Asked by a reporter if Cuomo should resign, Biden responded, “I think the investigation is underway and we should see what it brings us.”

Biden, who made the comments upon returning to the White House from a weekend at his home in Delaware, had not previously spoken publicly about the allegations against Cuomo. However, his comments reflect the wait-and-see position the White House has taken regarding Cuomo’s future.

"See, if the investigators don't find anything indictable in this he-said, she-said world of sexual harassment accusations, then they didn't happen, right? It all comes down to the investigators and courts to make it real, just as election fraud all comes down to whether the Supreme Court wants to hear about it. If such bosses say 'yes,' then it happened. If the bosses say 'no,' it didn't. Truth is subject to their approval. In Bidenworld, it's never about the merits of the actual case.

"Which is absurd. Either he "believes women" or he doesn't. He probably does believe these seven and counting women because he's got a history of this of his own.

"Hence, the punt. Better for someone else to investigate, and investigate, and investigate long beyond Cuomo's term. It's a delay tactic that could easily be a cover-up for rigging.

"Why might it be rigged? Well, because the Democrat machine in one party blue states are powerful." . . .  More...

Bill Maher: ‘Never Ending Woke Competition’ Is Destroying America, We’ve Already ‘Lost’ To China

Daily Wire

"Left-wing HBO host Bill Maher slammed the “never ending woke competition” that is engulfing America, warning that it has turned Americans into a “silly people” and that China is “eating our lunch” as a result.

“ 'And finally, new rule, you’re not gonna win the battle for the 21st century if you are a silly people and Americans are a silly people,” Maher said on his show “Real Time” on Friday. “That’s the classic phrase from Lawrence of Arabia when Lawrence tells his Bedouin allies that as long as they stay a bunch of squabbling tribes, they will remain a silly people. Well, we’re the silly people now. You know who doesn’t care that there’s a stereotype of a Chinese man in a Dr. Seuss book? China. All 1.4 billion of them could give a Crouching Tiger flying f**k … because they’re not a silly people.”

“ 'In two generations, China has built 500 entire cities from scratch, moved the majority of their huge population from poverty to the middle class and mostly cornered the market in 5G and pharmaceuticals. Oh, and they bought Africa,” Maher continued. “Their New Silk Road initiative is the biggest infrastructure project in history, indebting not just that continent, but large parts of Asia, Europe and the Middle East to the people who built their roads, bridges and ports.”

"Maher said that while China is dominating in seemingly every arena that they enter, America is struggling because “half the country’s having a never ending woke competition deciding whether Mr. Potato Head has a d*ck” while others believe in conspiracy theories.“We’re not losing to China. We lost,” Maher said. “The returns just haven’t all come in yet. They made robots that check a kid’s temperature and got their a**es back in school. Most of our kids are still pretending to take zoom classes while they watch Tik Tok and [their] brain cells slowly commit ritual suicide.' ” . . .

Jeanine Pirro Slams ‘Two-Faced, Mealy-Mouthed’ Kamala Harris For Silence On Cuomo Allegations

 Daily Wire

. . . “Finally, tonight, she is a fraud, a phony, a woman without a moral core, a regular two-faced, mealy-mouthed politician who swings with the wind,” Pirro said during the conclusion of her show Saturday evening.

“  'A real role model, ain’t she?” Pirro said, pointing out how Harris’ victory was portrayed in the media as a great leap forward for women and girls nationwide. “But remember, a woman who couldn’t get 1% of support in her party’s presidential primary nomination, a woman destined to be president, many believe, in the very near future, who can’t even answer a question about whether or not Andrew Cuomo should resign after seven women accuse him of sexual harassment and assault.”

"After playing a clip of Harris slinking out of the room after ignoring a reporter’s question about Cuomo, Pirro mocked, “Some supporter of women, huh? A woman paraded around as a champion for women quick to believe all women, unless it doesn’t work to her political advantage. A woman who once prosecuted cases on behalf of rape victims who then turns around to raise money for the Minnesota Freedom Fund that bails out the men who rape women.” . . .  Video Here

Here are all the times Joe Biden has been accused of acting inappropriately toward women and girls   . . . "Over the last year, former Vice President Joe Biden has faced scrutiny over his interactions with women, as well as his refusal to apologize for his controversial behavior." . . .

Laughing Stock: “Serial Sniffer” Biden Proclaims That Proof Isn’t Required In “Zero Tolerance” Policy  "
Apparently, Biden is continuing the stunningly hypocritical conduct of
democrats, but he’s really outdoing himself. He just announced that even an
accusation of disrespect is enough to cost someone his or her job in his administration.
"With the insouciant idiocy that characterizes Biden, he boldly proclaimed a “zero tolerance” policy… no proof needed.
"Yet, there’s plenty of proof of “groping Joe’s’ disrespect and assault on women over the past half century." . . .

CNN Criticized On Air For Its Cuomo On Cuomo Love-Fest For A Year…

Weasel Zippers   "Ouch"

Marine Corps Account Says It ‘Messed Up’ in Response to Fox’s Carlson

He also amped up his critique of what he described as the military’s focus on identity politics, noting that Biden recently announced the Pentagon would pay for gender reassignment surgery for active-duty personnel.

                                                                                         HBO "The Pacific"; language advisory

The Epoch Times   "A U.S. Marine Corps unit’s Twitter account says it “messed up” in its comments while responding to Fox News host Tucker Carlson as part of a debate over his commentary about U.S. servicewomen.

"The official account for the II Marine Expeditionary Force Information Group used a pejorative on social media in responding to Carlson’s recent statements on how the military should be focused more on adversaries and less on culture issues." . . .

"The Marines shared a picture of a female soldier carrying a male one and tagged Carlson, writing that the photo showed “what it looks like in today’s armed forces.”

“ 'Get right before you get left, boomer,” the account said, using a word widely considered a pejorative term."

“How do sex changes in the military make this country safer? That’s not a trick question. It’s not another volley in the culture war. It’s the only question that matters—literally, the only question that matters. But no one bothered to ask it, probably because no one can remember why the U.S. military exists,” Carlson said.

American Thinker watches the press

How long before CNN starts screaming that Biden stole the election?  "Well, my friend is OK, but lots of colleagues may not be.  According to news reports, the post-Trump blues have hit cable news:

Cable news ratings for the first quarter are in and they show big drops across the board for CNN and MSNBC and even to Fox News, but to a lesser extent.

"Is anyone surprised?  After further review, the three biggest losers were Don Lemon, Anderson Cooper, and Chris Cuomo.  The advertisers, or the people who pay the invoices, won't enjoy hearing that Chris Hayes, Lawrence O'Donnell, and Don Lemon are not cutting it with that coveted "P25–54 Demo." . .  .

When Kenosha Might Have Burned Again, Local TV News Coverage Calmed the Flames their Broadcast Networks Fanned   "The CBS national reporter divulged that “prosecutors say that Blake was holding a knife when Officer Sheskey shot him multiple times in the back” (echoing the anchor’s opening to the half hour) and related the finding of self-defense without providing any detail.  The story emphasized the city’s being “on edge” and bracing for more trouble.  How does such “reportage” help to ease tensions?

The NBC national anchor’s provocative and, according to the press conference being “reported,” misleading opening words for the entire program were, “No charges for the police officer who shot Jacob Blake in the back.” He later remarked that Blake was shot “in the back as he leaned into a car.”

As on CBS, there was immediate focus on the “mounting outrage” in Kenosha.  The reporter parroted: “seven times in the back.” He related the D.A.’s statement that Blake was armed with a knife and that the officer “could have successfully argued self-defense.” Brief video footage of Graveley does relay his description of the domestic abuse call and of the warrant.  Also, the reporter spoke of Blake walking to the car with his three young sons, citing family members instead of the official report which stated that the children (or one child?) were already in the car.  Appended to this story was a video clip from Dateline NBC, in which Blake’s father said that his son suffered “seven shots to the back” for not stopping when hateful police officers commanded it. It’s gotta suck to be Jen Psaki

 Richard Jack Rail

"Jen Psaki, Joe Biden’s press secretary, twists and turns to avoid giving any credit at all to President Trump for getting Covid vaccines produced and to market so quickly. She tries to make it sound like anything Trump did was inconsequential. Trump’s Operation Warp Speed supercharged the process, so the vaccines got out far faster than anyone even thought possible. Trump set it all up, but the vaccines came online during Biden’s time.

"Biden’s administration is trying to take all the credit and it ain’t a-washing. Judging from what we’ve seen so far, Biden’s people couldn’t have done what Trump’s people did. It required real-world competence, something always in short supply on the left, which is perhaps part of the reason they are so given to lying.

"Though senior covid administrator Andy Slavitt openly recognizes the Trump contribution, we’ll probably never hear Psaki truthfully handle questions on the subject.  Thankfully (for the cause of fairness), reporters have been pestering the hapless Psaki about it .

"All of this transpired within the past few months. America recalls who did what about these vaccines. In their desperation to avoid saying anything good about Trump, the Biden Administration has hung young Jen Psaki out to dry. She doesn’t seem to realize she’s publicizing that Democrats are liars and cheats, not to mention morally small and embarrassingly petty."

"To be sure, the powers behind the scenes don’t seem to realize that, either. It’s painful to watch the woman answer questions, always having to “circle back,” obviously uneasy at not having full command of whatever subject – especially when we’d gotten used to the seemingly effortless professionalism of Kayleigh McEnany.

"It’s gotta suck to be Jen Psaki."

Lapdog Corrupt Media Coverage Of Biden’s Carteresque Speech Is Embarrassing

See, the White House had asked reporters earlier in the day to spread their preferred messaging that the speech was uplifting, unifying, and hopeful. So they did. Before he gave it, the media dutifully claimed that was what the speech would do. After the speech was over, they reiterated this propaganda talking point, even though the speech was not at all what was promised.

Mollie Hemingway

Biden's speech without the media filter was unmemorable at best, and depressing at worst. With the media filter, however, it was the best speech you've ever heard.

"It’s embarrassing. Our corrupt, partisan media are embarrassing.

"Thursday night, President Joe Biden gave a speech to mark the one-year anniversary of the World Health Organization’s delayed acknowledgment of the COVID-19 pandemic that China unleashed upon the world. The media swooned.

"The speech was delivered off a Teleprompter by a man who wasn’t inspiring even when he had better command of his faculties decades ago. It was ungracious, going out of its way to refuse to acknowledge his predecessor’s Operation Warp Speed, the only pandemic response that has worked. And it worked so well: throwing money at private developers and getting rid of regulatory hurdles to do the impossible of obtaining vaccines within a few months.

"The dark and depressing speech was reminiscent of Jimmy Carter’s “malaise” talks. He painted a horrible future with threatened future lockdowns if the people didn’t keep following his rules. The best-case scenario, he argued, was that if everyone did what he wanted, he’d let people have very small backyard barbecues with just a few select people on Independence Day.

“Just two to four Independence Day lockdowns to slow the spread!” is not a particularly uplifting sentiment. The Washington Post had claimed earlier this week that Biden was “impregnable” to mockery, but somehow it wasn’t difficult for the two main satirical news sites to do that immediately:"  . . . More...

Psaki Tries to Laugh Off Question from Fox's Doocy, He Doesn't Let Her Get Away with It

Western Journal  . . . " About those guidelines, Doocy wasn’t in the mood for deflections. He pressed Psaki about why those guidelines are being ignored for the country’s embattled school children — many of whom have now spent a full calendar year isolated at home.

“Does the White House think it’s a problem that when the CDC tells these migrant shelter facilities that they can be at full capacity — if they’re careful about COVID — many of them do, but when the CDC tells schools that they can open in person at full capacity, many of them don’t?” he asked.

"Doocy pointed out that very few schools are operating at full capacity and asked, “Have the Border Patrol unions and the HHS unions been easier to work with than the teachers’ unions?”

Psaki appeared stunned, as she so often does when asked a substantive question. After some back and forth with the pair comparing American schools with child migrant detention centers and the education opportunities in each of them, Paski deflected and laughed.

“ 'I think that’s a little bit of mixing different circumstances. I would say that,” she said with a smile.

Doocy wasn’t laughing.

“ 'It’s children all in tight quarters … that’s not funny,” he said.

"Doocy appears to be the only person in the White House briefing room these days doing work on behalf of the American people and the country’s embattled youth. Biden has created a humanitarian crisis at the once-secured border. Psaki, accustomed to the Biden-friendly media, apparently thought a laugh would get her out of a tight situation." . . . More...

United Kingdom-based newspapers accuse CBS of 'dishonest misrepresentation' during Oprah interview

 Fox News

. . . "Hartley wrote one of the most egregious examples was a headline "Meghan’s seed will taint our Royal Family," that was shown during a montage.

" 'The original, unedited, headline in fact was a report of the suspension from UKIP of someone over this and other racist texts about Meghan. The headline you have broadcast is neither accurate nor could it be said to be an expression of ‘creative integrity.’ It is a thoroughly dishonest misrepresentation of a newspaper headline and article which was the opposite of racist. No one viewing the programme would have understood this from the montage," Hartley wrote. "Associated Newspapers unquestionably supports freedom of speech and the First Amendment. We do not believe in seeking to stifle debate or criticism based on accurate facts. That is however demonstrably not the position in relation to this montage."

"The letter then claimed the CBS special’s creators "seemingly felt the need to create these headlines in the absence of evidence to support their point on a subject the ramifications of which are extremely important and damaging" and the result reflects poorly on producers.

" 'In light of the above, and given that these inaccurate statements have been the subject of prominent public analysis in the UK, we anticipate that you will already be taking steps to investigate the montage and address how it came to be produced. In the meantime it continues to be made available by you to viewers on demand. If you are not making enquiries, then you must do so, if you stand by the principles of accuracy and integrity which you espouse, and remove the montage from the footage without delay," Hartley wrote before adding images of examples." . . .More...
