Fight the American Stasi With Mockery

American Greatness   "In a 2019 article for The Atlantic, “The Lingering Trauma of Stasi Surveillance,” Charlotte Bailey explores how many of the thousands of Germans who were victims of the The Ministry for State Security—commonly known as the Stasi—still suffer from psychological trauma. The Stasi were part of the German Democratic Republic (GDR). Before its collapse in 1989 after the fall of the Berlin Wall, the GDR, as Bailey describes, “went to extraordinary lengths to spy on and control its citizens.”

"The Stasi, Bailey writes, “wiretapped, bugged, and tracked citizens. It steamed open letters and drilled holes in walls. It had nearly 200,000 unofficial informers and hundreds of thousands more occasional sources providing information on their friends, neighbors, relatives, and colleagues. As the self-declared sword and shield regime, it aimed not merely to stamp out dissent, but to support a far-reaching propaganda machine in creating a new, perfect communist human being.”

"I have long argued what afflicts present-day America is not fascism, or Mao-style communism, but the totalitarianism of the former spy-state known as the German Democratic Republic. “All over the world,” Bailey notes, “authoritarian regimes still use some of the tactics favored by the East German dictatorship—informers are still widely used, for instance. But states are now using modern technology to oppress their citizens in ways simply unavailable to the Stasi—by monitoring movements, spying on communications, and tracking financial transactions, to name just a few. The tools, in fact, are available to (and used by) companies and the governments of liberal democracies, too.”

"David Murakami Wood, a surveillance sociologist and an associate professor at Queen’s University in Canada, says “States now have far more power than the Stasi.' ” . . .

‘Nasty’ Nancy Pelosi Set To Retire From Congress – enVolve

En-volve  "Reports are breaking today that Pelosi is nearly done ruining the lives of Americans and will resign after the 2022 elections.

"House Speaker Nancy Pelosi is set to step aside at the end of this Congress after nearly two decades as the party’s leader, according to The Washington Post. Rep. Hakeem Jeffries is allegedly the new favorite to succeed her.

"'After nearly 19 years as House Democratic leader, Speaker Nancy Pelosi (Calif.) is expected to resign at the end of this Congress, capping a historic career that includes trying to end George W. Bush’s Iraq War, implementing President Barack Obama’s signature health-care law, impeaching President Donald Trump twice, and squeezing Vice President Joe Biden’s sweeping agenda through a narrowly controlled House,” the Washington Post reported.

"The early leader and favorite to succeed Pelosi is Hakeem Jeffries, a Democrat from New York. Since 2013, Jeffries has served as the United States Representative for New York’s 8th congressional district.

“ 'Normally, one of the speaker’s top two lieutenants, the majority leader, Steny Hoyer, and the majority whip, Jim Clyburn, would handle the role. However, both of them, like Pelosi, are in their early 80s, prompting speculation over whether it’s time for some new blood to lead the House Democratic caucus, according to the Guardian.

"With some of her lowest approval ratings in her career, Pelosi will take over the gavel. Pelosi was voted down by 58 percent of respondents in a recent Gallup poll.

"In all honesty, it makes no difference who replaces Pelosi as they will undoubtedly be just as radical and disgusting as she is."

The 27 most politically divisive shows on TV

27 TV Shows That Have a Huge Divide Between Conservative and Liberal Fans (insider.com)

"Though television shows may not actively lean in any one political direction, some tend to appeal more to one side of the political spectrum.

"INSIDER conducted a survey and asked viewers to list their five favorite shows currently on TV. We also asked for political affiliations.

"After breaking down the numbers and responses from participants who indicated they were moderately to strongly conservative or moderately to strongly liberal, INSIDER found which shows held the biggest divide between those groups. We excluded responses from those who said they fell into the middle range for political affiliation."

"Here are the top 27 most divisive shows currently on TV. ". . .

2021: From ‘MAGA’ to ‘Let’s Go Brandon’ in Twelve Miserable Months

www.terrellaftermath.com

The American Spectator | USA News and Politics    "And you thought 2021 would be a cakewalk after the mess we suffered through in 2020? Barry O’Bama warned us not to underestimate Joe’s ability to f*** things up, but far too many voters ignored his admonition.

"Our new president came into office with a weaponized incompetence that, with amazing speed, reversed everything good that had been done in the prior four years. At year’s end we’re up to our necks in a steaming pile of crime, inflation, and COVID panic with more than two million illegal aliens as the cherry on top.

"A lot of us reacted by chanting “F*** Joe Biden,” switching to “Let’s Go Brandon” only when in polite company. Old Joe proved that he has the reverse Midas touch: Everything he touches turns to fecal matter. And, despite everything else, there was almost enough political chicanery and everyday idiocy to make it an amusing year." . . .

“No One Has Ever Complied Their Way Out of Totalitarianism – This Is the Hill We Need to Die On” – Robert F. Kennedy, Jr. Releases New Year’s Statement

 DEPLORABLE Bloggers Alliance

"Robert F. Kennedy, Jr.: I’m going to tell you these three things that you need to remember in this critical day and age. 1.) Once government acquires a power, it never lets it go voluntarily. 2.) Every power that government acquires, using this pandemic as a pretense, it will ultimately abuse to the maximum effect possible. This is a rule that is as certain as gravity. 3.) Nobody has ever complied their way out of totalitarianism. Every time you comply the demands will get greater and greater. We need to resolve here and now that this is the hill we need to die on. They have come for our jobs, they have come for our transport, now they’re coming for our children. We have an obligation as parents to protect them. There has been a government in history that has told its people, we are going to demand children sacrifice and take risks to save old people. It’s always the other way around. The old, the mature, the adults, always put themselves at risk to protect their children. This is an ethical issue. It’s a moral issue. It’s an issue of character for each of us. And its an issue about democracy and public health."

A commercial that speaks for America -

  American Thinker

It is time to denounce the America-haters at every school board meeting, every college fundraiser, and every political campaign. We need, now more than ever, the ascendance of a political movement that can speak for and to America in the same way the people who crafted that dazzling Chevy commercial have spoken.

"Chevy plucked the heartstrings of hundreds of millions of Americans with its holiday commercial.  In doing so, it revealed a yearning for a different America than that portrayed in the woke commercials that bombard us with an America that exists only in Hollywood.

"An old man, a widower, places a sad-looking Christmas wreath on the door of his barn.  He stops inside to look at a beat up and deteriorating 1966 Chevrolet Impala.  It was his wife's car, and sitting inside it brings back a flood of memories and a torrent of emotion.

"As he closes the barn door, his daughter, even from a distance, can see the sadness that envelops him.

"In her small town, she enlists the aid of local mechanics, who work with her at night to restore the body and the mechanics of the blue Impala.

"On another day, the man returns to replace the wreath on the barn door and notices that it has already been replaced with a festive one." . . .

Students at University of Oregon Want Critical Race Theory Required for Graduation

 College Insurrection

Progressive ideas are so popular that they have to be made mandatory.

"Members of the Associated Students of the University of Oregon (ASUO) are currently requesting to make Critical Race Theory (CRT) a graduation requirement for students.

"Associated Students of UO president Isaiah Boyd believes that the implementation of CRT in the university’s curriculum is “relevant to not only the educational value for students, but also to the wellbeing of our community,” Oregon Public Broadcasting quoted the student leader as saying.

"Though Boyd reportedly believes that CRT training will benefit students, not every member of the UO community agrees.

"Carter Cunningham, a student at the University of Oregon, is not surprised that his classmates want to push CRT on other students.

“I’m aware of the people I go to school with. I’m okay if they want to have their own thoughts and feelings about things, but it is not their business to force them onto me and try and change my mind,” Cunningham told Campus Reform.". . .

The Gross Injustice of Kim Potter’s Conviction

The American Spectator | USA News and Politics

The verdict was meant to reflect not the law and the evidence, but the passionate narrative to which the ruling powers of Minnesota subscribe.

"
When I was eleven and twelve, I was gripped by the stunning injustice of segregation. I read To Kill a Mockingbird and Black Like Me. I saw the photos and heard the stories of the separate but never equal accommodations in buses, at water fountains, and in schools. I learned of lynchings, of trials never conducted before a jury of one’s peers, of guilt being determined by skin color, not by evidence. I learned of the Scottsboro Boys and the mockery made of the Constitution and the law and their requirements for due process. The segregationist community desired to send a message, and that, not fact, not justice, ruled the courts and dictated the verdicts.

"As I grasped it, as it was understood in my family, this was the same sort of thing as we Jews had been subjected to again and again. To stand against it was the signal moral duty of anyone who loved freedom, and the single greatest moral issue testing America as the place offering liberty and justice for all. We fought against such injustice without, fighting and defeating Nazism, and now we had to defeat the more insidious enemy within, one that discredited and befouled the American legacy the way no external foe could ever succeed in doing.

"What made segregation wrong? As I saw it then and as I see it now, sixty years later, it valued race over truth, race over justice, race over decency and compassion. It reduces and diminishes humanity, considering the only truly meaningful thing to be certain generally irrelevant genetic traits. Have those genes and you have political rights; if not, you don’t. Have them, you have a fair trial, with the case decided by the facts and by the law, fairly interpreted and applied. If not, your verdict will reflect the demands of the passions of the ruling group, not the evidence or the law." . . .

Voters need to start turning the page on Biden’s disastrous presidency

One feels it is much deeper than the incompetence of Biden; it has to be the incompetence of the American voter and if I dare say so, the ignorance and mal-education of half the American electorate. TD

NY Post   "The Biden presidency stands for more than incompetence, bad governance, and the loss of American prestige around the world. This White House has also demonstrated a willingness to endanger Americans and non-Americans alike in pursuit of its political and ideological goals, particularly in its actions in Afghanistan and at the southern border.

"Much of this conduct, under reverse partisan circumstances, would trigger not only media hysteria but, quite likely, impeachment.

"Biden’s Afghanistan withdrawal resulted in the deaths of 13 US service members at the Kabul airport, along with scores of Afghan civilians. It inflicted historic damage on American credibility, destabilizing global politics, while leaving millions of Afghans to endure oppression and even starvation under Taliban rule. It was also sold with a dangerous, false narrative: that Afghan forces were strong enough to repel a rapidly advancing Taliban in the absence of American troops on the ground. As White House Press Secretary Jen Psaki told it, the Afghan forces “have what they need.' ” . . .

. . .During the call, the American president encouraged his counterpart to join the deception, and to help undermine clear, observable facts: “I need not tell you,” Biden said to Ghani, “the perception around the world and in parts of Afghanistan . . . is that things are not going well in terms of the fight against the Taliban. And there is a need, whether it is true or not . . . to project a different picture.”

Will Hillary and AOC Give Us A Nightmare Scenario in 2024?

PJ Media  "Dinosaur vs. Ditz: Hillary vs. AOC in 2024?"

[Dick Morris, a former Clinton adviser]: "As everyone knows, the incumbents are damaged goods. Nobody likes Old Joe, who will be about 120 years old if he even makes it to 2024, and Kamala Harris has failed spectacularly at one of the easiest jobs on the planet. Meanwhile, Hillary has been increasingly obvious lately in positioning herself for 2024, while the winsome Ocasio-Cortez turns the required age of 35 on Oct. 13, 2024.

"Morris sees Hillary’s recent attacks on AOC and the Squad as an indication that a showdown is coming between the two for the Democratic presidential nomination. He explained, “I’ve always said that the way you could tell if Hillary is running again is check whether she has a pulse or not — and if she does, most likely she’s running.” She sat out a return bout against Trump in 2020, and now she’s tanned, rested, and ready. “But lately, there have been very significant signs that indicate that she is, in fact, planning to run. She gave an interview earlier this week with MSNBC where she talked about, quote, ‘We have to think clearly and be clear-eyed about what it will take to win the House and the Senate.’ And she then proceeded to basically blame [Rep. Ocasio-Cortez] and the progressives for policies that she said could endanger the Democratic majorities.” . . .

The Cruise Ship Industry Learns a Valuable Lesson After Bowing to Joe Biden

"The cruise ship industry has been hit hard during the COVID-19 pandemic. Yet, much of their pain and suffering has been self-inflicted, driven by their mindless following of pointless federal dictates. That has most noticeably manifested itself in the implementation of so-called “vaccine passports.”

"Of course, vaccine passports do not actually accomplish anything. New York City not only has a vaccine passport system, but they also have a vaccine mandate. Still, they lead the nation in new coronavirus cases as of this writing. But the fact that everyone spreads COVID — and that vaccine passports made no sense — is not new information.

"And when Gov. Ron DeSantis of Florida stood up to fight against such measures, the cruise ship companies not only spit in his face, they actively opposed him in court. Instead of following the data, Royal Caribbean, Carnival, and others bent the knee to Joe Biden, even when they weren’t legally required to.

"Well, they are about to get a hard lesson in why that was a big mistake. The CDC is now recommending against any boarding of cruise ships, while Omicron is spreading everywhere.". . .

Champagne Socialist AOC Is Spotted Vacationing Maskless in Miami with Boyfriend

Rules are for Rubes.

Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez responded to critics of her trip to Florida by claiming they’re motivated by “sexual frustrations.”
Commenting on a photo of AOC in Miami with her boyfriend, former Trump campaign advisor Steve Cortes said, “If Leftists like AOC actually thought mandates and masking worked, they wouldn’t be frolicking in free FL.” He also took a shot at her partner’s shoes.
"If Republicans are mad they can’t date me they can just say that instead of projecting their sexual frustrations onto my boyfriend’s feet," she tweeted in response to Cortes.
