LA police union boss tells cops to leave the city: ‘Go somewhere that understands your worth’

 Yahoo

"The vice president of a Los Angeles police union encouraged officers to ditch the city and find work elsewhere during unsuccessful salary negotiations with the city.

"Los Angeles Police Protective League (PPL) Vice President Jerretta Sandoz made the statement in a comment from her personal Facebook page as the negotiations were being handled in late June. Sandoz wrote in the now-deleted statement that the LA City Council was stacked against police.

" 'Go somewhere that respects the work you do and you don’t have to beg for a great contract," she wrote, according to a screenshot of the comment posted last month and now obtained by the Los Angeles Times. "Go somewhere that has a city council or city manager that openly acknowledges the great work you do, go somewhere that doesn’t have two or more City Council members who hate you (no exaggeration)."

"The LA PPL represents the city's roughly 9,000 police officers. The city has already lost 1,000 officers since 2019." . . .

LAPD CHIEF ACCUSED OF FEEDING PERSONAL DATA TO ANTI-POLICE: ‘BOUNTY ON OUR OFFICERS’

Hollywood may be in its death throes, and deservedly so

 Bookworm Room

"It couldn’t happen to a more deserving industry, although many good people will be hurt in the process."

"Hollywood once supported America and family values; it’s now antithetical to them. This means that many Americans are rooting for its collapse during a writers’ and actors’ strike over an industry change as significant and destructive as the advent of the car was to carriage makers.

"I’m a huge fan of pre-1960s movies, and I know a fair amount about the history of Hollywood. In Hollywood’s early years, the executives behind it were almost entirely Jewish immigrants who found a niche in a brand-new industry and filled it.

"Throughout the 1920s and into the very early 1930s, movie plots got progressively more sordid. However, in the face of combined pressure from consumers and politicians, Hollywood cleaned up its act, producing family- and America-friendly movies for the next 35 or so years, until the social compact started falling apart in the mid-1960s.

"Beginning in the mid-1960s, Hollywood turned against America. This was in part because industry followed the Baby Boomers, who were a huge source of funds and who were moving left at warp speed.

"The trend accelerated as Hollywood actors, few of whom were credentialed, figured that they could give themselves an intellectual gloss if they followed campus social and political trends. With bully pulpits, publicists, and unbounded egos, they gave unsavory, unwashed, and unhinged academic intellectuals glamor and reach.

"Another thing to know about Hollywood, both past and present, is that it is now and has always been a place of unbridled debauchery. Where one finds power and money, one invariably finds pedophilia and other forms of sexual power politics and abuse.

"Hollywood used to keep that sordid fact hidden from Americans. Over the last 20 years, though, it’s been marketing deviant sex to them, especially to youngsters.

"If you don’t believe me, check out The Vigilant Citizen. You don’t have to buy into the writer’s theories about a vast conspiracy; it’s enough to read the descriptions of popular movies, songs, and television shows with which readers of this site are probably unfamiliar." . . .

A powerful Babylon Bee song parody exposes the transgender madness -

Andrea Widberg    "The Babylon Bee is one of the best things going in conservative America. It’s more accurate (and prophetic) than any other media outlet, and it uses humor to drive home hard points. Nothing more perfectly illustrates this than the Bee’s “He’s a Man (Mulan Parody)” video.

"Anyone with a lick of sense understands that the left’s obsession with transgenderism is completely toxic. It is breaking children, breaking apart families, and corrupting institutions. Moreover, none of this is accidental. It is the latest front in the leftist’s one-hundred-year war against America.

"For a long time, American leftists relied (very successfully) on the racial component of critical theory, but that began to play itself out with Obama’s election and pretty much died on the vine when BLM (with Antifa’s help) tried to burn America to the ground. However, the other major arrow in the leftist quiver was sex.

"Transgenderism is part of the leftist’s “sex trajectory.” First, there was feminism. First-wave feminism, which started in the 19th century, was a constitutionally based movement intended to ensure that women had equal legal rights, from voting to financial independence. Second-wave feminism still made sense: equal pay for equal work and equal opportunities for equal abilities.". . .

Why Moms for Liberty Frightens the Democrats -

The American Spectator | USA News and Politics

The group leads a movement that threatens the power of their teacher union paymasters.

"For most Americans, “Mom” evokes images of kindness, courage, sympathy and love. Likewise, “liberty” calls up concepts like individual rights, freedom of expression, equality and justice. Yet, the perversity of the current political environment is such that a parental rights group whose name combines these two words has been demonized by Democrats, the corporate media and the reactionary left. Just recently, a New Hampshire Democrat denounced the group as “Assholes with casseroles,” the Hill ran a story titled, “Six reasons why Moms for Liberty is an extremist organization,” and the Southern Poverty Law Center added them to its Hate Map.

Why so much animus for an organization whose goal is merely to give parents a voice in the education of their children? It certainly doesn’t reflect public opinion. An Economist/YouGov poll released in late June found that a mere 23 percent of Americans view Moms for Liberty unfavorably. The remaining 77 percent view it favorably or have no opinion about the group at all. The organization was co-founded in Florida by Tina Descovich and Tiffany Justice, who had witnessed firsthand the disregard for parental rights by school boards on issues ranging from COVID-19 restrictions to age-appropriate curricula. In a recent Wall Street Journal op-ed, they suggest that the education establishment sees them as a threat:

A survey conducted last month for Moms for Liberty by Jim McLaughlin proves that point. Mr. McLaughlin’s national poll of 1,000 likely voters found that more than two-thirds think the K-12 public-education system is on the wrong track. Two-thirds favor removing age-inappropriate sexually explicit material from K-12 classroom. Maybe most important, the poll found that 70% of Americans think parents, not government, should have the ultimate say over what is being taught to their children at school.

"This explains why Moms for Liberty has, in less than three years, expanded from a few chapters in the Sunshine State to nearly 300 chapters in 45 states. Nor have they restricted themselves to protesting at school board meetings. They have endorsed and actively supported parent-friendly candidates for school board seats nationwide. In 2022, they supported 500 candidates, 275 of whom won. Moreover, their candidates took control of 17 school boards in California, Florida, Indiana, Minnesota, New Jersey, North Carolina, and South Carolina. Moms for Liberty has now set its sights on school board elections in 2024, even as the organization enjoys rapidly growing conservative support and donor funding." . . .

Dan Bongino Says Secret Service Agents Are Furious and 'Know' Who's Behind the Cocaine

Dan Bongino Says Secret Service Agents Are Furious and 'Know' Who's Behind the Cocaine – RedState

"The story of cocaine behind found at the Biden White House has been quite the wild ride. It was a narrative that just wouldn’t stop changing. First, the cocaine was found “near” the White House and wasn’t really cocaine. Then it was found in the White House Library and was left by a tourist. After that, it was found at the West Executive Entrance and was left by a construction worker.

"The claims just kept morphing. Seemingly every day brought about a new shift despite the location being a detail that would have been known since the initial discovery. And then, just as the White House had settled on a final narrative, the investigation suddenly ended.

"Who was responsible? According to the Secret Service, it was just a mystery too deep to solve. Sure, there were cameras at the West Executive Entrance, multiple checkpoints, and even a visitor log, but the agency that is tasked with stopping assassins simply couldn’t crack the code.

"According to Dan Bongino, a former Secret Service agent with over a decade of experience, his peers aren’t happy about this." . . .

Tucker Carlson Helps Cull the Republican Presidential Field -

. . ."Asa Hutchinson was asked if he’d changed his opinion after he vetoed an Arkansas Bill banning transgendering surgical treatment for children. “The bill made what it called an 'exception' for some intersex people with unspecified chromosomal makeup and hormone production, and those with difficulties resulting from previous gender-affirming treatments. It also would have banned so-called 'cross-hormone' therapy, a gender-affirming treatment that allows for trans people to change their physical appearance to be more consistent with their gender identity.”

"Tucker noted that hormonal treatment of children created a permanent alteration, as did surgical intervention, and that Hutchinson forbade restricting surgery and cross-hormonal therapy.  How did he feel two years later about hormonal treatments?  Hutchinson did not offer a satisfactory answer. Probably because he could not. He began by saying “God says there are two sexes,” but then continued that parents have a right to change that. The response was so muddled, it was unconvincing. I mark that as another candidate out of the race.

"Tucker was a bit softer on Haley, letting her off harder questions on her hawkish views on Ukraine. She showed a lot of political savvy and poise. Nevertheless, she did not do well on the questions of climate change, and fudged on the question of whether she thought that 2020 was a fair election, deflecting to a plea about achieving election integrity. She said there were a lot of irregularities but didn’t think it affected the results even though she agreed that the Intelligence Community had too much power and interfered with the 2020 election. She displayed great managerial instincts and was great on cleaning out those agencies and the Department of Justice. And she has a record to back this up, which she described. On homelessness, she argued that we need more mental health treatment and major changes to the present health care system. (Certainly, these are valid issues, though I don’t see how that can result in short-term changes.) On climate change, she notes that re the Paris Climate Agreement she was critical of the plan that hampers us while letting the China and India, the major emitters, alone. She argued for energy independence -- it’s “a national security threat,” contending that we need that and a strong military. Haley said she didn’t know who sabotaged the Nord Stream pipeline, which hurt our western allies. As for the White House cocaine find, she said only few people go into that area and surveillance cameras are placed at that spot and called the Secret Service report a “cover-up for Hunter or someone very close to the president.” . . .

. . ."Not clear you’re catching the drift here.

More like joined his fellow Republican leaders in running like scared rabbits and warp-speeding a statutory “fix” to RFRA in less than a week. A “fix” in the same manner as a lethal dose of fentanyl.

In fact, said “fix” undermined the very freedoms it was passed to protect while creating out of whole cloth, Supreme Court-style, entirely new rights for their tormentors.

Which led one prominent Christian leader, speaking for many peers, to pronounce the fast-tracked backtrack a “train wreck.” And by the way, Memories, left to hang in the wind, now is truly a memory.". . .

ELECTION INTERFERENCE: Biden DOJ Seeks December Trial Date in Classified Docs Case - On Eve of Iowa Republican Caucuses

Democrats' hatred- yes, hatred- for conservatives is so much stronger than their affection for this nation, TD

The Gateway Pundit  "Biden’s corrupt Justice Department is seeking a December 11 trial date in Jack Smith’s classified documents case.

"This is brazen election interference.

"If Judge Aileen grants the DOJ’s request, the trial date will begin just weeks before the Iowa Republican presidential caucuses.

"The Iowa Caucuses are starting earlier this election cycle and will take place on January 15, 2024.". . .

. . ."Judge Cannon set the trial date for August 14 but Trump’s lawyers asked to indefinitely postpone the trial.

"Justice Department lawyers on Thursday filed a motion pushing back on Trump’s legal team and asked the Judge to proceed with jury selection on December 11, 2023.

"Joe Biden can’t win the 2024 election against Trump so he sent his Justice Department lawyers after Trump to shut him down and jail him." . . .

Man Wants Uterus So He Can be First "Trans Woman" to Have Abortion

A perfect pick for a Democrat administration. TD

- LifeNews.com

"Creating killing an unborn baby as if it was a badge of honor, a radical transgender activist said he wants to have a uterus and ovary transplant in order to become the first trans-female to have an abortion.

On Tuesday, Libs of TikTok, a social media account that exposes radical leftist extremism, shared a video of the transgender activist, a biological male, making the disturbing comment online, according to Live Action News.

“ 'I want to be the first trans woman to have a successful uterus transplant, ovaries and eggs included, and I want to be the first trans-woman to have an abortion,” the activist said in the video.

"Likely an attempt to gain attention by shocking his audience, the unnamed activist went on to say he will “have as much gay sex as it takes with as many trans-women as it takes and let the transphobes and homophobes scratch their heads wondering what to make of it.”

"The activist said he wants the uterus and ovaries to come from “a willing, healthy, trans-masculine donor,” for whom “I will devote myself heart and soul to their aftercare.”" . . .

Biden Backs America Into A Corner After Whittling Down Key Oil Reserve

SUZANNE DOWNING: (msn.com)   "Since the creation of the Strategic Petroleum Reserve in the mid-1970s, America has never been backed into such an energy corner as we’re in now, thanks to the Biden administration selling off much of our oil reserve to countries like China.

"It’s an invisible trap about which most Americans are oblivious, but it has everything to do

with inflation, recession and national security. Americans may soon feel the pain of rising prices, supply shortages and a faltering economy, if OPEC, Russia and China succeed in taking advantage of our suddenly depleted energy stockpile.

"Under President Joe Biden, this drawdown of our reserve oil masks political problems he blames on Russia. But that dog won’t hunt. Let me explain:

"Recall that it took just one year after Biden became president for Russia President Vladimir Putin to invade Ukraine. Putin had also seized parts of Crimea during the years when Barack Obama was president.

Putin held his Ukraine ambitions in abeyance during the four years of President Donald Trump. Love him or hate him, Trump was the president with whom Putin did not want to mess. For four years, the United States was strong enough to stall the expansion plans of the Russian strongman until that fateful day when American voters evidently elected a man who would hardly leave his basement to campaign for president.

"For Biden, the price of oil doubling under his administration was a serious problem starting in 2022; the Strategic Petroleum Reserve was his solution to keep Americans calm after the price of gas had doubled quickly last year.

"Thus, oil poured forth from the strategic reserve month after month, invisibly suppressing the supply problem Biden was creating with his other anti-oil policies. Much of that oil sold by the Biden administration went to companies that were middlemen for China.

"How much oil? You can practically hear the echo in the salt caverns. Last year, the Department of Energy sold off over 180 million reserve barrels. This was about 21 gallons of crude oil for every man, woman and child in America.

"In one year alone, the Biden administration drained nearly a third of what was in the emergency reserve and has more sell-offs on the schedule. The administration says its efforts have lowered gasoline prices by 17-42 cents over what they would be without this action." . . .

Why Costco Unleashing the 'Death Star' on Bud Light Is Even Worse Than You Think

  PJ Media

"It’s the logo that Costco shoppers dread: when the “Death Star” appears next to their favorite item, indicating that the discount retail giant won’t restock once current inventory has sold out. Just this year, the Death Star has appeared on Filthy brand blue cheese olives, Kinder’s organic toasted onion dip mix, and Jonny Pops chocolate dipped strawberry pops.

"Now the Death Star has been spotted adorning the price signs for Bud Light, which was the most popular beer in America back in the olden days of […checks notes…] a couple months ago.

"If you think that’s a bad sign for Bud Light sales, you’re wrong. It’s much, much worse.

"I first became aware of Bud Light’s Alderaan-like fate on Wednesday evening, when my friend and former RedState colleague Kira Davis tweeted that “they’re not even selling Bud Light at my local Costco anymore. Don’t know when it stopped but I’ve noticed it’s not in stock anymore.” Kira was reporting from southern California, which, as I noted on Instapundit earlier today, “isn’t exactly overrun with conservatives.”

"Sure enough, sharp Costco buyers have been sharing photos on social media of the Death Star menacing Bud Light signs across the nation." . . .

Tucker Carlson Helps Cull the Republican Presidential Field -

Clarice Feldman  "If, like me, you find the presidential debate format a rather meaningless exercise, you will be astonished at what one-on-one interviews by a skilled interrogator can accomplish.

"At the Iowa family Leader conference, Tucker Carlson interviewed several leading contenders for president Tim Scott, Asa Hutchinson, Mike Pence, Nikki Haley, Vivek Ramaswamy, and Ron DeSantis.

"If the participants thought this was going to be another tongue bath, they were certainly surprised. He asked hard questions and some of their answers exposed their muddled thinking. At least two of them – Asa Hutchinson and Mike Pence -- were clear losers and can now be safely considered out of the running.  If you haven’t had an opportunity to listen to all the interviews on the site, I’ll summarize some of the highlights.

"Tucker chided Pence for being more concerned about defending Ukraine than with dealing with domestic problems.

Tucker: "Where's the concern for the United States?"

Pence: "That's not my concern. Tucker I've heard this routine from you before. That's not my concern."

"Pence tried to duck this gaffe by claiming it was out of context, but the video is undoctored and the response is clear. I believe his campaign is now dead.

"He offered up an extended clip in which he said, "Anybody that says that we can’t be the leader of the free world and solve our problems at home has a pretty small view of the greatest nation on Earth. We can do both.

“ 'And as president of the United States, we will secure our border, we will support our military, we will revive our economy and stand by our values. And we will also lead the world for freedom under my administration. I promise you.”

"I don't think his optimism about our present ability to achieve all these ends is shared by many." . . .
