White House would consider Bradley/ Chelsea Manning pardon request

The Hill  "The White House said Wednesday that it would consider a clemency petition for Bradley Manning "like any other application" after the Army private was sentenced to 35 years in prison for leaking a cache of documents to WikiLeaks.  Video

"There's a process for pardon applications or clemency applications, I believe they're called," White House spokesman Josh Earnest said. "And I'm not going to get ahead of that process. If there is an application that's filed by Mr. Manning or his attorneys, that application will be considered in that process like any other application."
"Manning's attorney said shortly after his sentencing that he would ask the White House for a pardon. He added that even if the president did not do so, Obama should commute Manning's sentence to time already served."
Obama, being a friend of Bill Ayres- who hates the US military- can be expected to show his true colors with a pardon of Manning on his last day as president.

" 'As I transition into this next phase of my life, I want everyone to know the real me," Manning said in the statement. "I am Chelsea Manning. I am a female. Given the way that I feel, and have felt since childhood, I want to begin hormone therapy as soon as possible. I hope that you will support me in this transition.' "  And pay for it as well.

From This ain't Hell, but you can see it from here: Oh, my bad, it’s CHELSEA Manning now. . . how could I have been so silly?
...."I have no doubt before long he’ll somehow turn into a rally cry for every transgendered person that has anything to do with the military.  I have no doubt that while all this is going on, he’ll send out “statements” which will reaffirm he’s the victim in all of this, and the evil nasty military won’t allow him to be self actualized."

Arab Spring: Worst Soap Ever

Political Cartoons by Gary Varvel
Ann Coulter   "I didn't care for the "Arab Spring," but the "Arab Summer" is a blockbuster!

"Liberals' rosy predictions for Egypt's Islamic revolution didn't turn out as planned. Who could have guessed that howling mobs in Tahrir Square in 2011 would fail to produce a peaceful democracy?

Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak had supported U.S. policy, used his military to fight Muslim extremists and recognized Israel's right to exist. So naturally, Obama told him he had to go."....

5 of the Most Hysterical Liberal Overreactions To Criticism of Obama

  Townhall

"When George Bush was in office, liberals regularly compared him to Hitler, speculated that he was behind 9/11, fantasized about murdering him and generally talked about him like he was the Son of Satan. This was called "speaking the truth to power." Then Barack Obama came into office and ironically, dissent isn't so patriotic anymore. Suddenly these same people became angry, humorless scolds who believe that the President of United States is beyond criticism. Of course, the truth is that they haven't changed at all; they're just hypocrites. If you want to see how hypocritical and oversensitive to criticism they can be, here are five great examples."....

Report: NSA doesn’t know the extent of Snowden damage

Question for those of you under 30 years of age: Did allies die because of Snowden? Will the next terrorist plot go undetected because of what Jihadists now know?

The Hill "The National Security Agency (NSA) doesn’t know how much information leaker Edward Snowden was able to obtain because of an underdeveloped capacity to audit its own data, according to a NBC News report released late Tuesday. "

Judge Clears the Way for Sharia in Oklahoma!!

Craig Andresen  "Further proof that the America we used to know is NOT the American in we are living today.
"In the words of U.S. District Judge Vicki Miles-LaGrange, a Bill Clinton, liberal apointee, “While the public has an interest in the will of the voters being carried out, the court finds that the public has a more profound and long-term interest in upholding an individual’s constitutional rights.”
"And with that, she STRUCK DOWN an Amendment to the Oklahoma Constitution banning courts from considering SHARIA LAW in making their decisions."....
....
"Remember…THIS judge is a U.S. DISTRICT JUDGE…FEDERAL…So this is NOT confined to just 1 STATE."

Australian baseball player in OK killed by 'bored' teens' Jesse Jackson update

Rick Moran at American Thinker  "Much has been made of the attention paid to this crime as opposed to the scrutiny given the Trayvon Martin case. Sorry, I don't see it. Even if there was a racial element to this crime, the circumstances that surrounded the Martin shooting are miles apart from the gunning down of Chris Lane. This is a tragedy where gangsta culture should be blamed, and not necessarily racial animus."
"Nobody would ever mistake him for Obama’s son."

UPDATE: Jesse Jackson “Frowns Upon” Killing of Aussie Baseball Player Chris Lane By “Bored” Black Teens…
Julescat tweeted: "will Jesse call for marches to influence the trial outcome?"

‘Bored?’ Teenage Murder Suspect James Edwards Appears to Be a Crip
...."Note the hashtags under the photo — they use both “Crip” and “cc,” which is a Crip affectation."....
James Edwards, 15, was treating the murder as a joke, District Attorney Jason Hicks told a hearing in the town of Duncan on Tuesday (Wednesday morning AEST).

Mr Hicks told the court that Edwards has previously been in contact with police, and that he had “an attitude of total disregard for law enforcement” when he was being charged over Lane’s death.

“He thinks it’s funny, and it’s all a joke,” Mr Hicks said.

Allen West Calls Obama Out Over Killing of White Student In Oklahoma By Black Teens: “Who Will He Identify With This Time?”…

"After President Obama waded into the Trayvon Martin shooting death and subsequent acquittal of George Zimmerman, critics of the president wonder whether he’ll also address the senseless killing of an Australian college student in Oklahoma last week.
"On Twitter, former Rep. Allen B. West, Florida Republican, hinted that there may be a racial double standard at play, given the lack of outrage from Mr. Obama and civil rights leaders.
“ 'Three black teens shoot white jogger. Who will [Mr. Obama] identify w/ this time?” Mr. West wrote."....

Sharpton to rally in 100 cities over Martin death

"Just Us" Is Blind
UPDATE:  Dem Strategist Blames Murder of Aussie Baseball Player By Three Black Teens On Oklahoma’s Gun Control Laws…

This following is a Facebook dialogue between the Tunnel Dweller and "FB" about the previous post concerning Sharpton and Jackson:

FB: What do Sharpton, Jackson and Obama have to do with this gang murder?

TDWhat did they have to do with Trayvon Martin?

FBWhat?? THis(sp) post is about a gang killing.

TDWhat if the ball player had shot the gangstas?

FBHe would be the murdering POS. Do you have a point?

TDThe race industry foments dissension when it suits their purposes; when the guilty party belong to the Sharpton constituency, there is no outrage. Jackson merely "frowns" on it with no condemnation, much as Maxine Waters "did not condone but did understand" the anger of the four who nearly killed Reginald Denny during the King riots in LA. Are you saying that no comment was necessary from Jackson/Sharpton? That there is no obligation on their part for moral leadership toward their people?

TDIf a white group had murdered a young African-American in the same way, what people would you expect to see making a public denouncement?

FB: Come down off the ledge, son. Perhaps it's sunstroke.
End of conversation, I suppose.

The Lessons of History: Kristallnacht in Egypt; To embrace the Muslim Brotherhood is to endorse a direct descendant of the Nazi Party.

Hans A. von Spakovsky  "As the military (with the support of secular groups that don’t want an Islamist state) battles the Muslim Brotherhood in Egypt and Americans argue over how to react, we should look back at history to understand why we should support the military as the lesser of two evils and hope for its success.  Those who know the history of the Muslim Brotherhood and see the murderous attacks it has launched on the homes, businesses, schools, and churches of Coptic Christians, who represent about 10 percent of the population, will recognize that we have seen this type of behavior before."....

Obama's Islamophilia contributed to the mess in Egypt.  "At the root of America’s disastrous policy on Egypt lies Obama’s Islamophilia, a stance which leads him to mistake friends for enemies and enemies for friends. Even at this late date, he can’t make the most basic distinctions between pro-American Egyptian military leaders and anti-American Islamic terrorists. His foreign policy rests not on America’s interests but on politically correct prattle about a non-existent Islamic spring."

Obama’s Middle East Mess

Political Cartoons by Gary Varvel
Victor Davis Hanson;   "In Egypt the Obama administration has managed to alienate the military, secular constitutionalists, the Islamists, and the proverbial street all at once. How and why?
"First, we have never articulated a consistent policy in the Middle East, partly because we cannot distinguish constitutional government from one-vote/one-time plebiscites.
"Second, this administration seems to harbor a distrust of governments that are more secular than not, and are pro-Western, as if they might somehow might be inauthentic or imposed from abroad.
"Third, our Middle East policy, such as it is, is just a loud “reset,” as if not being George Bush means anything at all.
"Country by country, chaos and violence arise, as our stature sinks."....
Cartoon from Hope n' Change, with this comment: ...."Egypt has pretty much gone to hell, due in no small part to the fact that there is absolutely no intelligible foreign policy position from Barack Obama. Which is why, according to noted Rino John McCain, that the United States has no credibility in the Middle East."....

Dr Walid Phares; "Washington should suspend all training and aid to the Muslim Brotherhood, because of Terror"   "....since the Obama Administration decided to cancel Bright Star joint military exercise with Egypt's Armed forces as a sanction for clearing up and dismantling the armed encampments in Cairo, this Administration should at the same time suspend all political, business and other training programs to Muslim Brotherhood linked organizations and entities at the State Department, at the US embassy in Cairo, and throughout the bureaucracy and US funded agencies. The Muslim Brotherhood have led violence against fellow citizens in Egypt, they were part of churches burning, sniping and torturing. Besides the Muslim Brotherhood have been linked to Jihadi violence in Sinai."

Jennifer Rubin; U.S. wrong in secretly cutting Egyptian aid  "Aside from the penchant for non-transparency, this is entirely self-defeating — just as U.S. Ambassador to Egypt Anne Patterson’s public support for the Morsi government was. In both cases we leave Egyptians to believe we back their oppressors. Heaven forbid we should tell anyone we’re finally doing the right thing."....
...."The president’s policy is so hopelessly muddled that we have to rely on leaks to figure out what it is. That’s no way for a superpower to behave."  (Emphasis added,TD)

Pat Sajak: ‘Wheel of Fortune’ host pokes fun at Obama, NSA on Twitter

The Washington Times   “Wheel of Fortune” host Pat Sajak was in a particularly playful mood Monday night, taking to Twitter to poke fun at the NSA, climate science and President Obama.
“Thanks to the interception of @Facebook posts, the #NSA now owns the world’s largest collection of #catphotos,” he tweeted to his 4,602 followers.

“Next crisis facing planet: too many people digging holes to unearth live bait. Scientists warn of global worming,” he added.

Mr. Sajak even took a swipe at Mr. Obama’s career as a community organizer in Chicago.

“Had a deprived childhood,” the host said. “My community actually had to organize itself.”

Remember when Sajak took on Mayor Bloomberg?

Military Atheists Lose; Chaplain's Essay Back on Website

Military Atheists Lose; Chaplain's Essay Back on Website
Godfather Politics  "A military chaplain whose essay about the origin of the phrase "there are no atheists in foxholes" was yanked from his base's website last month after atheist complaints has apparently struck a blow for free speech.
"The essay "No Atheists in Foxholes: Chaplains Gave All in World War II"  by Lt. Col. Kenneth Reyes was republished to the website of Joint Base Elmendorf-Richardson in Anchorage, Alaska, after the base commander and higher ups reviewed the complaint from the Military Religious Freedom Foundation, a far-Left atheist group whose leader, Mikey Weinstein has called the preaching of Christianity "spiritual rape" and treason."

Dr. Ben Carson: When servants behave as rulers

Dr. Ben S. Carson  "Our Founders also saw no reason for a gigantic central government, because they felt that the states would be much more in tune with the needs of their constituents and be able to provide appropriate legislation to facilitate local and national goals. They felt that the purpose of the government was to protect the people from foreign and hostile domestic forces, to protect their property and to enable their pursuit of happiness. Obviously, there were some other purposes, like facilitating transportation and containing disease, but the point is, limited federal government was desirable, as was maximum freedom for the people."  Ben S. Carson is professor emeritus of neurosurgery at Johns Hopkins University.
