America's interests are in the capable hands of Obama and Kerry

Kerry: 'We Don’t Do Foreign Policy By Polls'   ... "Rosen responded, "It sounds like you like the polls you like and you don’t like the polls you don’t like."

" 'No, I just don’t pay attention to polls. If I paid attention to polls, I would have quit in Iowa a long time ago. I don’t pay attention to polls," said Kerry, an apparent reference to his failed presidential bid in 2004."

The strategy of the jihadist and their allies in Iraq was evident long before their blitz started rolling toward Baghdad. But neither Maliki nor Obama wanted to listen.
... 'Washington didn’t respond—a claim that will fuel Republican charges that the Obama administration has been dangerously disengaged from the Middle East. Iraqi Prime Minister al-Maliki dismissed the warnings, saying everything was under control."

Liz Cheney on how she and her father aim to shore up national defense  "You have to look first at the fact that when we went into Iraq, very shortly thereafter Moammar Qaddafi turned over the Libyan nuclear program. Clearly, that was a result of Qaddafi’s thinking he might be next. It doesn’t take much imagination to see what the threat would have been to us if Libya had nuclear weapons.
“ 'We also were in a position at that point where our friends and allies could count on us, where they knew our word meant something.' ”

Obama's Foreign Policy Explained      "This clip explains, better than countless learned articles could, the essence of Obama's foreign policy. He's got a "four-stage strategy:' "

Jordanian air force bombs Al Qaeda-Iraq incursion. ISIS also stands at Saudi border. Kerry’s snags in Iraq    [ISIS] "capture of the key town of Rutba Saturday is seen by Western military sources tracking the Iraqi conflict as marking out the Islamists’ next target. That force split in two – one heading southwest toward the Saudi Arabia border and the other heading west to Jordan."
...
"Since Maliki is the object of Kerry’s maneuvers to replace him, he is not ready to offer the Kurds any concessions at this point. So Kerry’s Iraq mission has so far struck a high wall."

Story about a disfigured girl kicked out of KFC because of her looks a hoax

Rick Moran    "The heart tugging story about a 3 year old Victoria Wilcher, who was told to leave a Kentucky Fried Chicken restaurant because the sight of injuries she received in a dog attack in April bothered customers, is a hoax.

"Kelly Mullins, the girl's grandmother, raised $135,000 when the supposed incident went viral and was covered by national media. A doctor from Las Vegas flew in and pledged to donate his time to perform the surgeries. The KFC managers and employees got death threats and suffered other indignities.

"But Mullins made the whole thing up." ...

... "An interesting exercise in the power of social media and a reminder that Americans will usually fall for a sob story."

UK Daily Mail photo:
Hoax victim? An unnamed source involved in the investigation has said that all the evidence in the case points towards the matter being a hoax and that Victoria Wilcher, three, wasn't asked to leave a KFC in Mississippi because her injuries were 'scaring other customers'

The Vatican, the Imam, the three unapproved prayers and interfaith movement origins in general.

Vlad Tepes  ... "But the importance of the event should not be underestimated. The meaning of the 3 extra verses you are about to see with great attention to detail and with highly acclaimed and authoritative Islamic texts,  will be shown to be basically a direct insult to the Jews and Christians in attendance. The Vatican’s response was to write some pot-boiler sophistry to deflect the imam’s insult in order to not take away from the intended spirit of the event one would assume. But this event was broadcast live to the entire Islamic world and it is highly likely that a large percentage of muslims watching knew exactly what took place, not to mention a number of Christian and other minority groups living in Islamic lands, even if nearly no Westerners did.

"This is not without importance and not without consequence."...

Stephen Coughlin Vatican analysis of peace ceremony June 8, 2014  "Vlad Tepes has conducted a comprehensive interview with Maj. (ret.) Stephen Coughlin, who is one of the foremost non-Muslim American experts on Islamic law. Maj. Coughlin examines the context of what the imam’s prayer at the Vatican as it relates to Islamic law. He uses his explanatory material — from authoritative sources of Islamic law — to expose the strategy behind Muslim participation in the prayer event at the Vatican, and the Muslim Brotherhood’s exploitation of the “interfaith” movement to accomplish its own ends."

... "Consider this passage from Reliance of the Traveller, chapter O, o9.0:
Jihad means to wage war against non-Muslims, and is etymologically derived from the word mujahada, signifying warfare to establish the religion. And it is the lesser jihad.
[…]
The scriptural basis for jihad, prior to scholarly consensus is such Koranic verses as:
  • Fighting is prescribed for you (Koran 2:216)
  • Slay them wherever you find them (Koran 4:89)
  • Fight the idolators utterly (Koran 9:36)

  • Post above from Gates of Vienna

Always keep in mind these words: Taqiyya and Kitman when Muslims speak of their relations with the non-Muslim world.

Political Cartoons by Robert Ariail

Loathe At First Sight

Hope n'Change
obama, obama jokes, political, humor, cartoon, hope n' change, hope and change, stilton jarlsberg, obama, klein, blood feud, book, benghazi
"Although the publisher of Hillary Clinton's book (which already dropped out of the Top Ten list on Amazon) claims that people just aren't buying books the way they used to, Hope n' Change is confidently predicting bestseller status for journalist Edward Klein's explosive new tell-all "Blood Feud: The Clintons vs. The Obamas."

"As you can guess from the title, the two political families absolutely despise each other behind closed doors - and we have to admit that our hearts actually warmed to Bill Clinton just a bit upon hearing his quote: "
I hate that man, Obama, more than any man I've ever met. More than any man who ever lived." (Follow the link - trust us, you'll love it.)" ...

Be sure to consider the source, however. 'Blood Feud' Author Also Wrote Obama Birther Fiction   "Sound like fiction? It could be. Klein – who’s written books about Barack Obama, the Clintons, Katie Couric and the Kennedys – has gotten the reputation for being a bit factually challenged. “The evolution of his career has raised eyebrows among liberals and conservatives, and the highly personal portraits he crafts have prompted questions about sourcing, accuracy and intent,” The Washington Post wrote in 2012 on the heels of Klein releasing “The Amateur,” a book about Obama."

Even Fox & Friends Doesn't Buy Ed Klein's Latest "Bombshell" (UPDATE: Limbaugh Is Skeptical, Too)  Another consider-the-source situation.
"This too-good-to-be-true sourcing -- which, it should be noted, is the defining characteristic of everything Ed Klein writes -- was called out by Brian Kilmeade, who asked, "Now, who is his source? Chelsea? I mean, how would you possibly get in between them?' "

Rush Limbaugh: The Obamas vs. the Clintons -- Really?    Rush quotes Klein's account of what Bill Clinton supposedly said: ..." 'I hate that man Obama more than any man I’ve ever met, more than any man who ever lived." I don't know.  Does this guy talk that way? "I hate that man Obama more than any man I’ve ever met, more than any man who ever lived."  Why would he tell people this?  If they've got this public show going on of unity, you know, one of the things you never betray your true feelings about people.  Keep those -- small point.  Let's move on. " ...

Conclusion: Take this whole story with a grain of salt and watch for either Clinton and either Obama on TV showing great affection for each other. Maybe you'd prefer this book:

OBAMA-CLOWARD-PIVEN

aowheader.3.2.gif
Always On Watch
Admittedly, I have very few good things to say about either Richard Cloward or Frances Fox Piven.  I believe they are among this country’s most contemptible personalities.  I believe this because of their efforts to destroy American society and replace our traditional society with one modeled on the Soviet Union.  They are, in my view, classic examples of enemies of the state and they did everything within their power to bring this country’s government to its knees.  In spite of this disdain, a short summary of each is warranted as an introduction to this piece. ...

... "Together, Cloward-Piven developed what has become known as the Cloward-Piven Strategy, outlined in 1966 and calling for the overloading of the U. S. public welfare system in order to precipitate crises that were beyond the ability of government bureaucracies to manage.  It would, in other words, cause the collapse of the U. S. government and lead to the creation of a national welfare state paid for through onerous taxation imposed upon working Americans.  Cloward-Piven supposed that this could be the result of forcing the Democratic Party (which in 1966 controlled both houses of Congress and the presidency) to federalize all poverty based programs. "
...
"At this stage, of course ... there is nothing anyone can do about this.  Obama has a free reign for another 3 years.  It may even be true that we haven’t seen anything yet..."

One Presbyterian Faction Becomes the Silly Church

A dying mainline church speeds its decline.

American Spectator

... "Mainline Protestantism, at least in its official curia, has been liberal for nearly 100 years. But for most of that century it was a thoughtful, dignified liberalism that still roughly adhered to historic Christianity’s moral architecture, even if it no longer upheld the core doctrine. But the yonder years of stately Protestantism, at least in the old Mainline, are largely over. And this week, the 1.7 million member PCUSA suffered a meltdown, authorizing clergy to conduct same sex unions, reaffirming its commitment to largely unrestricted abortion rights, and voting to divest from three firms doing business with Israel." ...
...
" ... Rest in peace, PCUSA, and thanks for the memories."

The PCUSA is only one faction of the Presbyterian Church.  Presbyterian Church in America is another.

The clerk of the "General Assembly of the Presbyterian Church in America
John Knox the "father" of Presbyterianism
said:"There are several Presbyterian denominations in America. Sometimes people mistakenly attribute the views or actions of one Presbyterian denomination to another. The “Presbyterian Church in America” (PCA) is an evangelical denomination in the Reformed theological tradition. The PCA, like other Evangelical, Conservative, Orthodox, and Traditional Christians from many denominations, believes that, from creation, God ordained the marriage covenant to be a bond between one man and one woman, and that understanding is what the Church has always believed, taught, and confessed. Therefore, we believe that the divinely sanctioned standard for sexual activity is fidelity within a marriage between one man and one woman or chastity outside of such a marriage. Throughout history, there has often been a conflict between the unchanging standards of biblical ethics that the Church seeks to maintain and the changing social practices of the culture. The Presbyterian Church in America (PCA) has not redefined marriage nor does it intend to do so.
... "The PCA is unilaterally pro-life, believing life begins at conception. Unlike the PC(USA), the PCA has no ecumenical relationship with organizations which accept denominations that they perceive to have strayed from orthodoxy, such as the World Council of Churches or World Communion of Reformed Churches."
Some other branches of Presbyterian churches:

Orthodox Presbyterian Church   "The Orthodox Presbyterian Church (OPC) is a confessional Presbyterian denomination located primarily in the United States. It was founded by conservative members of the Presbyterian Church in the United States of America (PCUSA) who strongly objected to the pervasive Modernist theology during the 1930s (see Fundamentalist–Modernist Controversy)."

Evangelical Presbyterian Church (United States)  "Being wholly within the main stream of Reformed, Westminsterian orthodoxy, the EPC is considerably more conservative than the PCUSA on matters such as theology and personal behavior, yet is somewhat more moderate than the major conservative Presbyterian denominations in the United States--the Presbyterian Church in America (PCA), the Associate Reformed Presbyterian Church (ARPC) and the Orthodox Presbyterian Church (OPC)."

On Iraq

Kirsten Powers: Iraq crisis not Obama's fault    ... "As horrible as Hussein was, he ran a secular government by Middle Eastern standards. Since the U.S. invasion, Iraq has become more theocratic. More than half a million Christians have fled the country in fear for their lives. Now we have the specter of a radical theocracy governed by sharia law wherever ISIS gains control. These are exactly the kind of fanatics the Iraq War proponents promised to eradicate. Instead, the war has spawned a new and reportedly even more barbaric enemy
set on establishing a global caliphate." ...

Perhaps Ms. Powers should take note of the Elliott Abrams article: The Man Who Broke the Middle East  "The Middle East that Obama inherited in 2009 was largely at peace, for the surge in Iraq had beaten down the al Qaeda-linked groups. U.S. relations with traditional allies in the Gulf, Jordan, Israel and Egypt were very good. Iran was contained, its Revolutionary Guard forces at home. Today, terrorism has metastasized in Syria and Iraq, Jordan is at risk, the humanitarian toll is staggering, terrorist groups are growing fast and relations with U.S. allies are strained."  Full article here.  Via Lucianne

Iraq massacre

Blackfive: Elephant in the Room- Obama fiddles, Iraq burns   "There are no easy answers to Iraq. But that doesn't make it any less painful to watch as a war we won, goes from a peace we threw away to a regional conflagration."

Political Cartoons by Gary McCoy
President Obama signaled Thursday that the United States wants the Iraq parliament to get rid of Prime Minister Nouri al-Maliki. You know how it is. Nouri al-Maliki's mistress tape recorded him asking her not to invite any black guys to the fall of Baghdad, and now he must go.
Caroline Glick of Israel asks: And what is at stake for America – other than national pride –if Iraq falls?  ..."In March 2001, when the Taliban blew up the Bamiyan Buddha statues in Afghanistan, the world condemned the act. But no one realized that the same destruction would be brought to the US six months later when al-Qaida destroyed the World Trade Center and attacked the Pentagon.
...
"The September 11 attacks were the blowback from the US doing nothing to contain the Taliban and al-Qaida."

Letter to AARP explains a couple's reasons for not renewing their memberships.

Snopes calls this correctly attributed   This reproduced letter "from a couple of former members of the AARP (American Association of Retired Persons) explaining to A. Barry Rand, that organization's Chief Executive Officer, their reasons for declining to renew their memberships, circulated on the Internet in September 2009 (why do these things always show up so long after the fact?) with a tag line attributing it to "Walt & Cyndy" of "Miller Farms Equine Transport," located in Cheraw, South Carolina.

"Cyndy confirmed for us that she did write and send the letter to AARP: " ...

This lady has a remarkable command of the English language as evidenced by the letter quoted below; the cartoons are added by yours truly:

Dear Mr. Rand,
Recently you sent us a letter encouraging us to renew our lapsed membership in AARP by the requested date.
I know it is not what you were looking for, but this is the most honest response I can give you. Our gap in coverage is merely a microscopic symptom of the real problem, a deepening lack of faith.
While we have proudly maintained our membership for several years and have long admired the AARP goal and principles, regrettably we can no longer endorse its abdication of our values. Your letter specifically stated that we can count on AARP to speak up for our rights, yet the voice we hear is not ours. Your offer of being kept up to date on important issues through DIVIDED WE FAIL, presents neither an impartial view we have come to embrace. We do believe that when 2 parties agree all the time on everything presented to them, one is probably not necessary. But, when the opinions and long term goals are diametrically opposed, the divorce is imminent. This is the philosophy which spawned our 200 years of government.
Once upon a time we looked forward to being part of the senior demographic. We also looked to AARP to provide certain benefits and give our voice a power we could not possibly hope to achieve on our own. AARP gave us a sense of belonging which we no longer enjoy.
The Socialist politics practiced by the Obama administration and empowered by AARP serves only to raise the blood pressure my medical insurance strives to contain. Clearly a conflict of interest there!

We do not understand the AARP posture, feel greatly betrayed by the guiding forces that we expected to map out our senior years and leave your ranks with a great sense of regret. We mitigate that disappointment with the relief of knowing we are not contributing to the problem any more by renewing our membership. There are other organizations which offer discounts without threatening our way of life or offending our sensibilities.

This presidential administration scares the living daylights out of us. Not just for our selves, but for our proud and bloodstained heritage. Even more importantly for our children and grandchildren.
Washington has rendered Soylent Green a prophetic cautionary tale rather than a nonfiction scare tactic. I have never in my life endorsed any militant or radical groups, but now I find myself listening to them. I don’t have to agree with them to appreciate the fear which spawned their existence. Their borderline insanity presents little more than a balance to the voice of the Socialist mindset in power. Perhaps I became American by a great stroke of luck in some cosmic uterine lottery, but in my adulthood I CHOOSE to embrace it and nurture the freedoms it represents as well as the responsibilities it requires.
Your website generously offers the opportunity to receive all communication in Spanish. ARE YOU KIDDING???? Someone has broken into our ‘house’ invaded our home without our invitation or consent.
This president has insisted we keep the perpetrator in comfort and learn the perp language sp we can communicate our reluctant welcome to them.

I DON'T choose to welcome them.
I DON'T choose to support them.
I DON'T choose to educate them.
I DON'T choose to medicate them, pay for their food or clothing.

American home invaders get arrested. Please explain to me why foreign lawbreakers can enjoy privileges on American soil that Americans do not get? Why do some immigrants have to ‘play the game’ to be welcomed and others just have to break and enter to be welcomed?
We travel for a living. Walt hauls horses all over this great country averaging over 10,000 miles a month when he is out there. He meets more people than a politician on caffeine overdose. Of all the many good folks he enjoyed on this last 10,000 miles this trip yielded only ONE supporter of this current administration. One of us is out of touch with mainstream America. Since our poll is conducted without funding, I have more faith in it than one which is power driven. We have decided to forward this to everyone on our mailing list, and will encourage them to do the same. With several hundred in my address book, I have every faith that the eventual exponential factor will make a credible statement to you.

I am disappointed as hell
I am scared as hell
I am MAD as hell, and I’m NOT gonna take it anymore!
