" A man with a history of mental health issues who wielded an ax and a pellet gun at a Nashville-area movie theater was shot dead by police on Wednesday, authorities said.
"The man, identified by Nashville police as Vincente David Montano, 29, was pronounced dead outside the backdoor of the theater, which was showing "Mad Max: Fury Road.' " . . .

Montano’s mother reported him missing on Aug. 3 and said he had been diagnosed with paranoid schizophrenia in 2006.

The media was quick to claim that Vincente Montano was not only white, but also 51 years old.

"A suspect armed with a gun and a hatchet has been shot dead by police after injuring three people inside a busy Nashville movie theater during a screening of Mad Max.

"SWAT team cordoned off an area surrounding the Carmike 8 theater in Antioch, Tennessee, at 1:13pm on Wednesday afternoon after movie-goers alerted nearby officers to the gunman who walked in wearing a surgical mask.

"A short time later the 51-year-old local man, who has not yet been identified, was shot dead by police after escaping the theater out of the back. Witnesses say the confrontation with officers lasted up to three minutes.
