To Biden’s Handlers: Shut Him Up, and Shut Him Down - The American Spectator | USA News and Politics   Every time he opens his mouth, we get closer to World War III.

"Shut him up, and shut him down. He doesn’t need to be put out there in public anymore. It’s been a year, and we all know it won’t get any better, and it’s no good now."

Ukrainian troops around Kiev horrified by what retreating Russians left behind – HotAir   . . ."Reporters entering Irpin for the first time in weeks describe a devastated city:

The town whose once leafy parks were left strewn with bodies is now back under Ukrainian control, as Russian troops hastily pull back from outside Kyiv…

Barely a building has escaped the fighting unscathed. Shelling has blasted huge chunks out of modern, pastel-coloured apartment blocks.

The foggy streets are eerily empty, littered with cars with bullet-scarred windscreens, and echoing with the sound of stray dogs.

“It’s the apocalypse,” says a Ukrainian soldier who hitches a ride across the empty town.

"The streets of Bucha are even more apocalyptic, as this horrifying video shows:

Biden wish for Trump prosecution leaked as Democrats mount pressure campaign on DOJ

Biden wish for Trump prosecution leaked as Democrats mount pressure campaign on DOJ | Washington Examiner
"A new report claims President Joe Biden has told people he wants former President Donald Trump to be prosecuted.

"The leak was published in the New York Times on Saturday as Democrats mount increasing pressure on the Justice Department to take action against Trump and people within his orbit in relation to the Capitol riot. At focus are Attorney General Merrick Garland and his "deliberative approach," as the report put it, which is causing frustration.

"As recently as late last year, Mr. Biden confided to his inner circle that he believed former President Donald J. Trump was a threat to democracy and should be prosecuted, according to two people familiar with his comments," the report read. "And while the president has never communicated his frustrations directly to Mr. Garland, he has said privately that he wanted Mr. Garland to act less like a ponderous judge and more like a prosecutor who is willing to take decisive action over the events of Jan. 6."

"Just what Trump would be prosecuted for is unclear. However, the House committee investigating the Capitol riot says its investigators have reason to believe Trump and his associates broke multiple laws in efforts to overturn the 2020 election. In a recent court filing for John Eastman, a Trump-linked conservative lawyer, the panel said it has evidence to show Trump may have engaged in a criminal conspiracy to defraud the United States and illegally impede Congress's counting of electoral votes.

"Nevertheless, the House committee can only make a criminal referral, leaving the onus on the Justice Department.

"Trump and his associates have repeatedly denied any criminality related to the Capitol riot, which took place on the day Congress met to certify Biden's 2020 election victory, and its surrounding events. One former aide, Steve Bannon, has been indicted on contempt charges for refusing to comply with subpoenas from the Jan. 6 committee, while another, former White House chief of staff Mark Meadows, has so far escaped prosecution.

"White House spokesman Andrew Bates offered comment for the article, insisting that Biden "is immensely proud of the attorney general’s service in this administration and has no role in investigative priorities or decisions.". . .

When politicians and media can't get enough division, they fabricate it

When politicians and media can't get enough division, they fabricate it - American Thinker  "In 2016, a YouTube movie review channel known as RedLetterMedia posted a video discussing the deceits surrounding, and controversy at the time regarding, the new Ghostbusters movie, featuring four female protagonists in replacement of the original all-male cast.  The nature of their video could be used to illustrate how much our current-day politics suffers from the same types of deceptions. ". . .

. . ."Then Sony handpicked reviewers and bloggers to attend early screenings of the film.  Apparently, they paid people to see the movie once it came out and lie about how much they enjoyed it.

So one can begin to see how relatively simple it is to create a narrative.  Ultimately, there was an insignificant number of hateful comments posted, and Sony, along with its accomplices in the entertainment media, exacerbated a minuscule issue, besmirching American culture and society in the process.  According to Mike Stoklasa at RedLetterMedia, "they were able to ignite a fraudulent movement based on a dumb, unfunny 'comedy' film."

Now, who is to say that our government and their lackeys in the mainstream media do not do the exact same sort of thing on a daily basis for the purpose of misleading the public on a whole host of issues?  Remember when Democrats besmirched the TEA Party (who merely felt they were being overtaxed) by claiming to have seen saw swastikas at their rallies?  There was no evidence of this, but it did not matter.  It made it into the zeitgeist anyway.  The same thing happened with the Michael Brown "Hands Up, Don't Shoot" fiasco, which happened very differently from how it was reported.  Who could forget how NBC News doctored George Zimmerman's call regarding Trayvon Martin in an effort to make Zimmerman look racist?  I recall when an MSNBC reporter referred to Black Lives Matter protests in Minneapolis as "mostly peaceful" while buildings burned behind him.  Look at how quickly people were willing to buy into Jussie Smollett's bald-faced lie that he was assaulted by racist MAGA supporters.

Remember this when the powers that be try to tell you there is a racist white supremacist behind every tree, that there is a rape culture on college campuses, that there are widespread weekly school shootings, or that there is an epidemic of police shooting unarmed black people, or that "trans women" are women while "Lia Thomas" crushes the competition, or the current "gay" misinformation campaign regarding Florida's recent anti-grooming bill, despite that fact that the word "gay" is nowhere within it, or that the "science" declares for safety that we wear masks, lockdown for years, get a mandatory vaccine (or get fired), get mandatory booster after booster, et cetera, et cetera.

Looking for a Democrat who stands up to the crazies? Here he is

Looking for a Democrat who stands up to the crazies? Here he is - American Thinker

"Over the last 15 months, Rep. Henry Cuellar of South Texas has been a loud critic of President Biden's border policies, such as eliminating Title 42.  Cuellar was one of two Democrats in Texas to say no!

"On another matter, Mr. Cuellar is refusing to go along with his party.  This is from The Texas Tribune:

U.S. Rep. Henry Cuellar, a moderate Democrat from Laredo, broke with his party to vote against a landmark marijuana legalization bill on Friday that passed in the House. Only one other Democrat voted against it.

Cuellar, who is currently in a fierce runoff for his 10th term against progressive attorney Jessica Cisneros, has long infuriated progressive Democrats with his conservative positions on many social issues.

The Laredo politician opposes abortion and was the lone Democrat to vote against federal abortion rights [sic] legislation last fall.

"Yes, Mr. Cuellar is making it easy for the AOC wing of the party to hate him, opposing open borders, marijuana, and abortion.

"Mr. Cuellar may pay a price for his conservatism or independence.  He is fighting to keep his seat in a party runoff.

"At the same time, Mr. Cuellar may know his district better than we do.  It is a culturally conservative section of Texas trending Republican, in large part because of the Democrat party's attack on the 2nd Amendment, support of abortion, and open borders.

"Last, but not least, Mr. Cuellar could switch parties and come to our side.  My guess is that he'll have more in common with us than the woke Democrats."

"Jen Psaki is reportedly set to leave the Biden White House for MSNBC, Axios reported Friday.

"White House reporters have known these negotiations were going on behind the scenes but they acted surprised and concerned on Friday.

Not Everything Is Ideology, Disney

Before ruining a company that seemed impossible to ruin, these insane Disney executives should have read G. K. Chesterton, or anything at all really, and then put up a big neon sign over their headquarters, bearing the words of the old English writer: “That is the one eternal education: to be sure enough that something is true that you dare to tell it to a child.”

Not Everything Is Ideology, Disney - The American Spectator | USA News and Politics  "No matter what kind of attitude you adopt on the street, the way you dress, the speed you choose to drive at, or the words you use to address the shopkeeper, someone will be watching and forming a political opinion about you. We live in a time when even going to the supermarket to buy a chicken can become a heinous, militant ideological act, even if the chicken is not right-wing. From sports to social relations, everything is tainted by ideology.

"Any practice that has not managed to transcend into some kind of political idea has fallen into historical disuse, and the resulting world is of such ideological intensity that we are left exhausted by the end of the day. I go to sleep and before I close my eyes, I think: ‘And how should I be doing this from a conservative point of view?’

"Yes, we have gone crazy. Or rather, we’ve been driven crazy. By whom? Them. Because if there is another characteristic of contemporary ideological confrontation, it is the simplification of any problem to two sides: the good guys and the bad guys. I don’t care much for what in Europe they call centrism, which tries to dilute any moral dilemma into a grayscale, but I admit that dividing all reality into good and bad reminds me too much of the binary code used by machines. I don’t know about you, but I long for the time when life allowed us to choose between more than two positions.". . .

I'm a mom and I'm saying goodbye to Disney  . . ."Turning Red" rated PG, is the story of a thirteen-year-old girl named Mei who inherits her family’s curse to become a red panda whenever she feels passionate emotions, including sexual tension, which feels wildly inappropriate in a movie targeting young children like mine. The adults at Disney create a storyline for the young main character and her fictional friends around their attraction of an older boy dangerously close to being a legal adult at seventeen.

"It’s even more appalling when Mei begins to draw this boy in what a "Turning Red" YouTube account calls "dirty drawings." Her drawings include half-naked sketches of him, and, at one point, she crawls under her bed to get all hot and sweaty with her sketchbook of semi-nude scribbles. It would be hard to explain this scene as anything other than masturbation.

"Mei and her friends are in a tug of war with their parents that the writers sexualize as they have the characters catcalling boys at school, endorsing "stripper music," and making plans to rebel against their parents who have legitimate concerns for their safety. But it gets worse.". . .

Disney just can’t seem to quit grooming kids - American Thinker  . . ."It’s been apparent for a while that Disney has strayed from Walt Disney’s vision of a traditional family-friendly product and has become, instead, an entity dedicated to advocating for the LGBTQ++ cohort. You can see the trajectory in (a) the increasingly open same-sex love LeFou has for Gaston in Beauty and the Beast (in the animated version, it was hero worship; in the 2017 life-action movie, it was open), (b) the lesbian cop in Onward, (c) the fish who’s also a boy in Luca, a story that all sentient people understand as a metaphor for so-called transgenderism, and (d) Disney’s Muppet Babies pushing cross-dressing. Meanwhile, Disney has also actively courted the LGBTQ++ crowd at its theme parks.". . .

Man Who Exposed Hunter Biden's Laptop Shares Disgusting Details

Man Who Exposed Hunter Biden's Laptop Shares Disgusting Details – RedState

Hopefully, Isaac can rebound from this. How he was treated by the public, the mainstream media, the Democrat establishment, and the authorities is inexcusable.

. . ."While Hunter Biden has naturally taken center stage regarding the laptop he left at a computer repair shop in Wilmington, DE, few have asked exactly what happened to the man who exposed it all.

. . .Sadly, Issac was targeted as a Russian disinformation agent after the Biden campaign and others, including 50 “former intelligence officials,” rushed to label the laptop as such.

“Once the story was out and my name was leaked to the public, it had been a matter of at first running and hiding. Now it’s trying to just rebuild my life and then do it in a manner that’s not restricted by public opinion of me being involved in some Russian disinformation campaign,” he said.. . .

. . ."Yet, because that sequence of events represented a problem for national Democrats, including Joe Biden, Isaac was mercilessly smeared by powerful elites, including the U.S. intelligence establishment, without an ounce of evidence that Russia was involved at all.

"That’s not supposed to happen. Normal Americans aren’t supposed to be destroyed in order to protect degenerate sons who make millions of dollars trading on daddy’s name. Don’t forget that Joe Biden directly called the laptop “Russian disinformation,” despite having to have known that much of what was on it was true, specifically dealing with his son’s business dealings. After all, the now-president had a key to the office Hunter Biden had set up for himself, his father, his mother, and a Chinese-government connected partner.

"As to what Isaac did with the computer, he didn’t originally go to any partisan figure with it. Rather, he noticed the national security implications of what was on it and called the FBI. It was only after it became clear that the government was going to squat on the information in order to protect Joe Biden that he moved to expose the contents of the laptop. And as an American with free speech rights and legal ownership of what was on the laptop (computer repair shops typically have a policy where non-payment cedes ownership after a given amount of time, typically 3-6 months), there was nothing wrong with him making that stuff public.". . .

"Hopefully, Isaac can rebound from this. How he was treated by the public, the mainstream media, the Democrat establishment, and the authorities is inexcusable."

Please, conservatives, let us always be better than this. TD

Portland rioter who threw Molotov cocktails at police sentenced to 10 years in prison

Portland rioter Malik Muhammed who threw Molotov cocktails at police sentenced to prison (nypost.com)

Muhammed’s charges include assault in the second degree, rioting, attempted murder 2, criminal mischief, unlawful possession of a destructive device, and unlawful possession of a firearm.

"An Indiana man has been sentenced to ten years in prison for participating in a riot in Portland, Oregon in 2020 during which he threw Molotov cocktails at police officers.

"Malik Muhammed pleaded guilty this week to 14 felony charges related to the Portland rioting and will have to pay $200,000 in restitution along with serving 10 years in prison, according to a statement from Multnomah County District Attorney Mike Schmidt.

“ 'On September 5, 2020, Muhammed constructed multiple Molotov cocktails. He then brought those explosive devices, along with baseball bats, to a planned protest event that evening at the East Portland Police Precinct Building,” Schmidt’s statement said. “During the event, Muhammed handed out the bats and threw multiple explosive devices in the direction of police officers. One of those devices landed short and caused a fiery explosion which engulfed a fellow protester in flames, causing severe injuries to that person’s legs.”

"Muhammed took part in three more violent protests and threw a lit Molotov cocktail at Portland police officers on two of the occasions including one incident where the “explosive device caused a fiery explosion which narrowly missed multiple officers and caught the clothing of one of the officers on fire.' ”. . .

Ketanji Brown Jackson chose leniency even in baby sex torture cases

Ketanji Brown Jackson even chose leniency in baby sex cases (nypost.com)

Neil Alexander Stewart

"The fuller record of her orders as a trial judge, detailed here for the first time, undercuts the White House’s and Senate Democrats’ argument that her sentences were within the “normal range” or “mainstream” of child porn cases, as they try to defend the Supreme Court nod against growing allegations she is soft on crime.

"Jackson, 51, who tried the cases as an Obama appointee from 2013 to 2021, was nominated earlier this year by President Biden, who pledged during the campaign to put the first “black woman” on the high bench. The Senate will vote on her confirmation next week.

"In July 2020, Jackson gave the bare minimum sentence to a defendant convicted of distributing images and videos of infants being sexually abused, and who had boasted of molesting his 13-year-old cousin, even though she knew the defendant refused “to take full responsibility” for his crimes, a transcript reveals. In 2018, Christopher Michael Downs was busted trading child porn in a private online chat room, “Pedos Only,” including images of adult males raping “a prepubescent female child,” according to court records. He posted 33 graphic photos, including an image of a naked female child as young as 2 years old. Downs, then 30, told the group, “I once fooled around with my 13-year-old cousin.” He also uploaded a 10-second video of “a prepubescent female lying in a bathtub and with an adult male inserting his penis into her mouth.' ”. . .

Reject Ketanji Brown Jackson - The American Spectator | USA News and Politics  "If confirmed, she’ll be even worse than Sotomayor and Kagan."   "The issue with Ketanji Brown Jackson, the 51-year-old federal appellate judge who is our senile president’s Supreme Court nominee, is not necessarily her on-paper qualifications. By most traditional metrics, she is “qualified”: She has served as both a district court and appellate court judge, served as vice chair of the U.S. Sentencing Commission, formerly clerked for Justice Stephen Breyer (the man she has been nominated to replace) and is a double-Harvard alum. In terms of “objective” criteria, this is an impressive resume.

"Instead, the issue with Judge Jackson is that she is a left-wing ideologue who, if successfully confirmed by the Senate, will devote the next few decades endeavoring to move the Supreme Court far to the left. All relevant indications are that she will approach her job not like her (slightly) more pragmatic former boss, but like a leftist activist — in the mode of her possible future colleague, the midwit partisan flack Justice Sonia Sotomayor.

"Worse, Jackson, due to the outrageous race- and sex-conscious nominating process in which President Joe Biden selected her, is uniquely unfit to render equal justice under the law for legal issues affecting race and sex. Even worse, she is a proponent of critical race theory and, despite getting nominated solely due to her XX chromosomal structure, appears ignorant as to how to differentiate men from women. Worst of all, she has shown a peculiar juridical soft spot for some of society’s very worst offenders — pedophiles and child pornographers.". . .

Ghislaine Maxwell Denied New Trial Despite Juror Who Falsely Answered Jury Questionnaire “About His History of Sexual Abuse”

Legal Insurrection (Emphases in the original)

. . ."Here are excerpts from the opinion, USA v. Ghislaine Maxwell – April 1 2022 – Opinion and Order Denying New Trial (emphasis added):

Before the Court is the Defendant’s motion for a new trial pursuant to Federal Rule of Criminal Procedure 33 on the basis that a juror provided inaccurate information during jury selection. Maxwell contends the juror’s presence on the jury violated her Sixth Amendment right to an impartial jury. Bearing these principles in mind, the Court conducted an uncommon post-trial hearing. Although uncommon, the hearing was necessary because of incontrovertible evidence that Juror 50 failed to respond accurately during the jury selection process to a question on a written questionnaire about his history of sexual abuse. At the hearing, the Court questioned the juror under oath and under the penalty of perjury. The Court inquired about whether his answers were false, his explanation for giving those answers, and how he would have responded to follow-up questions if accurate answers had been provided at the time of jury selection. This inquiry was limited by Federal Rule of Evidence 606, which prohibits a juror from testifying about the content of deliberations or his mental processes in evaluating the evidence at trial. The rule embodies long-accepted federal law and is an important safeguard of the integrity of the jury trial system. The hearing was further limited by Supreme Court and Second Circuit law that permits inquiry only if there is clear and incontrovertible evidence of potential misconduct by the juror.". . .

Maher: 'Liberal Hypocrisy' Was 'Big Loser' of Will Smith Incident

Maher: 'Liberal Hypocrisy' Was 'Big Loser' of Will Smith Incident (breitbart.com)  Video

"On Friday’s broadcast of HBO’s “Real Time,” host Bill Maher said that the biggest loser of Will Smith slapping Chris Rock was the “liberal hypocrisy” where people “who are always talking about microaggressions in the workplace” and believe “silence is violence and words can be violence” were okay with actual violence.

"Maher said, “It exposed, I thought, a lot of aspects of this society that we have that are not terribly positive, toxic masculinity, victim culture…liberal hypocrisy, I think, was the big loser.”

"CNN Senior Legal Analyst Laura Coates responded that she “couldn’t believe” that Smith still got a standing ovation.

"Maher added, “It does look like those people, these are the very people who are always talking about microaggressions in the workplace and how you should…not have to face an uncomfortable moment, or people shouldn’t touch you unwantedly. Suddenly, they were okay with this. It just seemed to show, to me, broken morals, like you really have no principles. When it’s a star that you like in the service of some vague principle of…intersectionality, like your wife shouldn’t be insulted even in a mild way, then it’s like, well, too bad. That’s what I like, it made me feel good. So, I forget my principles.”

"Coates then remarked in jest, “A part of me is concerned that that was the first moment you realized there [were] no principles in Hollywood, though.”

"Maher later said, “And what about — what do we make of what’s going on with violence and the word ‘violence’? Because it’s a common word among the woke. They seem to have broadened the definition, silence is violence and words can be violence, but then actual violence? Not a big deal. It’s like, violence is not an answer, except when I f*cking feel like it, and then it’s a great answer.”

"Coates jokingly responded, “I mean, your assessment is probably violent to them right now.”
