What Was That About a Deep State? Check Out These Plans to Deal With Trump If He Wins

Nick Arama – RedState  His voters are cut from the same cloth as Joe. Terrifying. TD

"Joe Biden and the Democrats truly take the cake.

"Biden is down in the polls to former President Donald Trump, who is the leading GOP candidate. So they're doing all they can to play up the "threat to democracy" from Trump. Now I have no doubt whoever was leading would immediately become "Hitler" to them, because that's how they do things. That's their only play, given Biden has such a horrible record. He has no real accomplishments on which to run.

According to an NBC report, the powers that be are already trying to work to put Trump in check. People talk about the deep state. Check out what they're saying here, it's something else. They're worried that Trump may win so the unelected people want to thwart how the elected representative of the people might exercise his power.

Now, bracing for Trump’s potential return, a loose-knit network of public interest groups and lawmakers is quietly devising plans to try to foil any efforts to expand presidential power, which could include pressuring the military to cater to his political needs.

Those taking part in the effort told NBC News they are studying Trump’s past actions and 2024 policy positions so that they will be ready if he wins in November. That involves preparing to take legal action and send letters to Trump appointees spelling out consequences they’d face if they undermine constitutional norms.

“We’re already starting to put together a team to think through the most damaging types of things that he [Trump] might do so that we’re ready to bring lawsuits if we have to,” said Mary McCord, executive director of the Institution for Constitutional Advocacy and Protection at

Georgetown Law. . . .

NBC Admits Deep State Exists - Key Operative, Mary McCord - The Last Refuge . . ."“We’re already starting to put together a team to think through the most damaging types of things that he [Trump] might do so that we’re ready to bring lawsuits if we have to,” said Mary McCord, executive director of the Institution for Constitutional Advocacy and Protection at Georgetown Law.

Part of the aim is to identify like-minded organizations and create a coalition to challenge Trump from day one, those taking part in the discussions said. Some participants are combing through policy papers being crafted for a future conservative administration. They’re also watching the interviews that Trump allies are giving to the press for clues to how a Trump sequel would look. (more)

"There she is again, Mary McCord, the former head of the DOJ National Security Division, and the one specific functionary that is found at the epicenter of every single deep state Lawfare operation against President Trump.   However, that citation is not the biggest reveal in the past several days….

"Pay very close attention to these next two citations:" . . .

How A Ballot Initiative To Save Kids From Trans Madness In California Could Save Them Elsewhere Too

Child-Protection Group Fights To Stave Off Trans Insanity In CA (thefederalist.com)

If radical gender ideology goes down in California, it will fall everywhere.

"The Democrats who run California love “transitioning” kids, including chemically and surgically sterilizing them. But a courageous group of residents is betting California voters are less radical than their politicians and that the tide can turn against gender ideology even on the West Coast.

"A proposed ballot initiative by Protect Kids California would put the Golden State’s radical “trans kids” agenda — which has previously been checked only by Gov. Gavin Newsom’s presidential ambition — before the people.

"The initiative would enact three policies. First, it would end the practice of government schools socially transitioning children without telling parents. Schools would be required to inform parents about mental health issues, including gender-identity issues, and to have parental permission before pretending a boy is a girl, or vice versa.

"Second, the law would require that sex-specific spaces and sports be based on sex, rather than self-declared “gender identity.” Boys would no longer be allowed to participate in girls’ sports or share the girls’ locker room, showers, and other private spaces.

"Finally, the law would prohibit medically transitioning children with chemicals, hormones, and surgeries in an impossible quest to change a child’s sex. Chemically castrating boys and amputating the healthy breasts of troubled adolescent girls would be illegal." . . .

Martin Luther King Jr.: More Relevant Today than Ever

"Were it possible to resurrect and transport King into the present, he would be shocked by the regression that has taken place in America in the three generations since he led the Civil Rights movement of the 1950s and 1960s."

Scott S. Powell - American Thinker     . . ."What is hard to come to grips with today is how the power, healing, and truth of his message could be overshadowed by today’s divisive and demoralizing so-called woke philosophies of Critical Race Theory (CRT) and Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI) that divide rather than unite society. MLK stressed the importance of bringing people together through constructive dialogue and seeing all people as individuals made in God’s image. In contrast, those who have recently claimed to hold up the torch of civil rights, such as the Black Lives Matter (BLM) movement, generally do so through militant action, malicious language, and confrontation.

"The woke movement in the United States is largely the progeny of BLM, an organization that was founded by Patrisse Cullors and Alicia Garza, who both self-identify as Marxists. For those who relate wokeness with progress, a gnawing question still haunts: What good ever came out of Marxism? While some newcomers to the philosophy might idealistically presuppose their cause is about a socialist utopia, Marxist rule in practice has a sad history of delivering poverty, corruption, and mass death across diverse cultures.

"Were it possible to resurrect and transport King into the present, he would be shocked by the regression that has taken place in America in the three generations since he led the Civil Rights movement of the 1950s and 1960s. He would reject the eclipse of the group, gender, and ethnic identity evaluation paradigm over the individual merit and character-based approach for acceptance and advancement -- whether in school admission or hiring and promotion in the workplace. King would condemn Critical Race Theory (CRT) because it perpetuates negative racial stereotypes, albeit in a reversal, which denigrate the White race." . . .

After Hamas atrocities, MLK’s embrace of Israel and disdain for antisemitism confronts liberals | Just The News  "Just 10 days before his assassination, Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. stood at a podium with war raging between Israelis and Arabs in the Middle East and strife evident in urban American communities between blacks and Jewish shopkeepers. Without equivocation, he embraced Israel and condemned antisemitism in all its forms.

“ 'We cannot substitute one tyranny for another, and for the black man to be struggling for justice and then turn around and be anti-Semitic is not only a very irrational course but it is a very immoral course. And wherever we have seen anti-Semitism we have condemned it with all of our might,” King declared in a question-and-answer session in March 1968 at the Rabbinical Assembly.

"He added for good measure: “Peace for Israel means security, and we must stand with all our might to protect its right to exist, its territorial integrity. I see Israel as one of the great outposts of democracy in the world.” . . .

Schadenfreude: Disruptive pro-Hamas protestor tries that in a small town -

In doing what they did to restore the peaceful exercise of representative democracy, the small town of Lucas, Texas, showed us all how it's done.

Monica Showalter; American Thinker   "Pro-Hamas protestors are all over the place, disrupting highways, climbing the White House fence, spraying graffiti, ripping down posters of Hamas-held hostages, and generally doing all they can to discredit their cause as if October 7's orgy of rape, torture and murder were not enough. Some of them seem to have been paid handsomely for their efforts and in return, they sing for their supper.

"One of them tried that in a small town in Texas, and well, what happened happened:

. . ."The video is from About Face: Veterans Against War, a leftist pacifist group, and they posted their video like it was something bad.

"That doesn't seem to be the response as the video went viral and Twitter denizens enjoyed the schadenfreude of seeing some maniac who was undoubtedly convinced he could get away with this type of behavior as such protestors do in blue cities, try that in a small town.". . .

Well, there is Austin. That guy is probably glad the allies didn't bomb the railroad to Auschwitz.

"Exactly what did this guy think he was going to achieve by screaming during a political event? I'm not sure. That's the thing about these kinds of "protests" -- they're so ridiculously pointless. Yet they think they are doing something so noble because they want a ceasefire. But a ceasefire, if you had one at this point, would just leave Hamas terrorists in place. The activists are just antagonizing people who can't change anything about what's going on in Gaza. But they don't seem to care much about that, they just seem fixated on the chaos."

Hey, Arab Muslims and other Palestinian sympathizers in the West, where were you?

Nobody cares about the Palestinians, NOBODY, especially not their fellow Muslims.

Comment to the above video: "That’s why Israel should not care how much collateral damage they inflict, especially when Hamas intersperses itself among its civilians. The Muslim outrage is that Israel exists, not that Gazans are getting killed. So carpet bomb Gaza and be done with the war sooner with less risk to Israel’s troops. And remember, Gaza needs a population correction. But there are plenty more Muslims where those Gazans came from and any correction will ...not be apparent after 10 years.

Republicans sell out America -

  Don Surber (substack.com)

"Off the Press reported, “Conservative activists are up in arms as details of an immigration deal being negotiated in the Senate have been leaked. The proposed plan suggests that illegal border crossers will be immediately eligible for work permits, and the government will allow up to 5,000 illegal immigrants a day before new expulsion powers kick in.

“ 'Rosemary Jenks, government relations director at the Immigration Accountability Project, has been briefing others on the current framework. She has revealed that it includes a right to government-funded lawyers for illegal immigrant children and would also expand legal immigration, both of which are priorities for President Biden.”

"The Party of the Bushes once again rescues Democrats right in the nick of time. The public finally rose against illegal immigration and the invasion by immigrants — only to have these Trikki Nikki-level Faux Conservatives sell us out.

"Mitch McConnell and the rest are just a Ray Epps and a pack of Judas goats leading America astray. Enough RINOs will defect in the House to pass it."

Nearly a century before the Claudine Gay scandal, Harvard University was trying to help Nazi Germany improve its image in the West.

HISTORY REPEATS ITSELF: Harvard University in the 1930’s was pro-Nazi and anti-Jewish; Today, Harvard is pro-IslamoNazi and anti-Jewish (barenakedislam.com)

Senior Nazi official Ernst Hansfstaengl attended his 25th Harvard reunion in 1934,
despite his Nazi ties.Hitler did say when he became famous, everybody would wear
his moustache.

“Harvard selectively enforces its policies to avoid protecting Jewish students from harassment, hires professors who support anti-Jewish violence and spread antisemitic propaganda, and ignores Jewish students’ pleas for protection.” It goes on to argue that the university “permits students and faculty to advocate, without consequence, the murder of Jews, and the destruction of Israel, the only Jewish country in the world.

"The suit also claims Harvard officials have “been aware of its antisemitism for years, but its response has been, to say the least, clearly unreasonable and totally unacceptable in not just tolerating, but enabling antisemitism.”
"The suit alleges that even before Hamas’ surprise attack on Israel in October, the group Harvard Out of Palestine “led a relentless campaign against retired Israeli Major Gen. Amos Yadlin, a senior fellow at Harvard Kennedy School of Government” in which students marched through campus in April 2022, banging on drums and using a megaphone to accuse Yadlin of being personally responsible for “genocide.”

"Elite Universities like University of Pennsylvania, Harvard, and MIT have strict codes of conduct to make sure the students respect one another, while allowing civilized and intelligent discussion about their different opinions.
"Legal scholars from these Universities met this week to create the handy guide below.  It was created so students, Congressional leaders, and the average 'they/them on the street' are absolutely clear about what statements are allowed and what are not."
  • "All Jews should die"
  • It depends on context, but nearly always allowable in the interest of reasoned debate.
  • "All Muslims should die"
  • Islamophobia at its worst - prohibited speech 100% of the time.
  • "Abortion is murder"
  • Absolutely false and a violation of the code of conduct.  How can you 'murder' a clump of cells that just happens to look like a human baby?
  • "Meat is murder"
  • Not a violation (unless the 'meat' in question happens to be a baby-shaped clump of cells).
  • "Men should not be allowed to compete in women's sports"
  • Violation of the code of conduct.  This falls under the Bullying and Harassment section and is therefore prohibited.
  • "Yeah you f—ing transphobic bitch.  I f–ing see you [Riley Gaines]!"
  • Not a violation.  The speaker is attempting to educate."
  • "That's not a woman!  That's just a dude in a dress.  Why do people keep calling him by the wrong pronouns?"
  • Not just a violation of the code of conduct, but probably a violation of state and / or federal law.

Meet the American millionaire Marxists funding anti-Israel rallies

 NY Post

In 1974, the FBI investigated Singham as “potentially dangerous because of background, emotional instabilities or activity in groups engaged in activities inimical to the U.S.,” according to its report, which he published on a blog.

Neville Roy Singham and his wife, Jodie Evans,
 have funded large pro-Palestinian protests
through The People’s Forum.

"The pro-Palestinian protests over the last month, where tens of thousands in the US have chanted for the end of Israel, are not merely a story of organic rage.

"They are also funded in large part by an uber-wealthy American-born tech entrepreneur, Neville Roy Singham, and his wife, Jodie Evans.

"Since 2017, Singham has been the main funder of The People’s Forum, which has co-organized at least four protests after 1,200 innocent Israelis were slaughtered by Hamas on Oct. 7.

"One rally, in Times Square, happened on October 8 before Israel had even counted its dead.

"Based in Midtown Manhattan, The People’s Forum calls itself a “movement incubator for working class and marginalized communities to build unity across historic lines of division at home and abroad.”

"But a review of public disclosure forms shows that multimillionaire Singham and his wife Evans have donated over $20.4 million to The People’s Forum from 2017 to 2022 through a series of shell organizations and donor advisory groups — accounting for nearly all of the group’s funding.

Liberal dark money network has donated $10M to anti-Israel causes   . . ."Caitlin Sutherland, the executive director of Americans for Public Trust, which asked the IRS to investigate Arabella Advisors in August, told The Post that the dark money network’s donors “should be mortified that their money is being routed to organizations leading blatantly antisemitic, pro-terrorist pep rallies.”
“ 'The network should immediately ask for their money back from these radical groups, and Arabella’s financial backers should reconsider the cost of supporting a network that is tacitly endorsing an alarming movement of hate aimed at Jewish communities across our country,” Sutherland said." . . .

Hertz Takes U-Turn With Re-focus On Gas Cars, Sells Huge Chunk Of EV Fleet

 The American Tribune.com

"Hertz shares plunged more than 4% in trading Thursday, while Tesla shares fell about 3%. The fall was expected after the admission from the company that EVs aren’t working.". . .

"The electric vehicle industry continues to take blow after blow as consumers continue to miss the spark for the pricey products. The Biden Administration has aggressively pushed EVs as part of their solution to the alleged climate crisis. Perhaps it is the draconian language used by Biden or the fact that EVs are unreliable, expensive, and generally underperform: whatever the case, consumers aren’t buying.

"One name synonymous with rental cars, Hertz, made an announcement recently that shocked the EV industry. On Thursday, Hertz stated that it plans to sell off about 20,000 EVs from their fleet and add gasoline powered cars in their place.

Despite the efforts from Hertz to gin up favor for the pricey rental option, it just didn’t work. Hertz tabbed Tom Brady in a seemingly endless number of commercials trying to make renting electric from Hertz somehow cool or socially responsible, but it turns out folks who want a rental car are neither concerned with coolness nor social responsibility. They want an inexpensive, nice, reliable rental to serve their short-term needs.

"Previously, the rental giant had pledged to purchase 100,000 Teslas by the end of 2022. However, the sudden change of direction underscores the problem with EVs. It is simply too expensive to maintain them, and Hertz found out the hard way after writing a check their gas tanks couldn’t cash.

"Hertz made a statement about their decision“The company expects this action to better balance supply against expected demand of EVs. This will position the company to eliminate a disproportionate number of lower margin rentals and reduce damage expense associated with EVs.”

"Hertz has stated the intention to have the fleet sold off by 2025, and it is unclear if any new EVs will be purchased.  However, it is fair to assume that until costs are such that the product is cost-effective, Hertz will stay with gasoline. Tesla isn’t the only automaker affected. General Motors has sold almost 175,000 EVs, while Swedish maker Polestar provided 65,000." . . .

Pixar Cuts Hundreds Of Jobs After Woke Kids' Movies Bomb At The Box Office

(trendingpoliticsnews.com)  "Pixar is set to layoff an unspecified number of staffers in the second half of 2024, according to a report from Variety magazine. The layoffs come after a number of box office bombs such as Lightyear and Elemental, both of which contained leftist social ideologies.

"News of the upcoming cuts was first reported by TechCrunch, who reported that the studio was considering layoffs for 20 percent of its staff. This would leave Pixar with less than 1,000 employees, though a Pixar representative told Variety that the cuts being considered by parent company Disney are not as dramatic.

"Discussions surrounding layoffs are currently underway as the studio finishes up a number of projects that were started in the second half of 2023. Cuts have reportedly been considered for awhile, though discussions were put on hold in order to allow current projects to wrap up.

"Pixar is currently slated to release Inside Out 2 in 2024 and Elio in 2025, with two unnamed films planned for 2026.

"Cuts at the once mighty animated studio — which has produced box office hits such as Finding NemoCars and Toy Story — are part of wider cuts at Disney. The parent company has laid off more than 8,000 workers over the last year, accounting for roughly 3.6 percent of its workforce.

"On the box office front, Disney lost more than $1 billion across nine film releases, a run that concluded with the disastrous Indiana Jones And The Dial Of Destiny. The run included two woefully underperforming Pixar productions — Elemental and Lightyear — the latter of which featured a same-sex kissing scene." . . .

You Could Say the Massive Pro-Terrorist Rally in DC Devolved Into an Insurrection (townhall.com)

Genocide case against Israel: Where does the rest of the world stand on the momentous allegations?   . . ."The world’s reaction to the landmark case that was heard Thursday and Friday at the International Court of Justice in The Hague shows a predictable global split when it comes to the inextricable, 75-year-old problem of Israel and the Palestinians. Sunday marks 100 days of their bloodiest ever conflict.

"The majority of countries backing South Africa’s case are from the Arab world and Africa. In Europe, only the Muslim nation of Turkey has publicly stated its support.

"No Western country has declared support for South Africa’s allegations against Israel. The U.S., a close Israel ally, has rejected them as unfounded, the U.K. has called them unjustified, and Germany said it “explicitly rejects” them.

"China and Russia have said little about one of the most momentous cases to come before an international court. The European Union also hasn’t commented.

"US: ‘MERITLESS’ ALLEGATIONS

"U.S. Secretary of State Antony Blinken said on a visit to Israel a day before the court proceedings began that South Africa’s allegations are “meritless” and that the case “distracts the world” from efforts to find a lasting solution to the conflict. National Security Council spokesman John Kirby said genocide is “not a word that ought to be thrown around lightly, and we certainly don’t believe that it applies here.' ”. . .

White Men Don’t Want To Join An Army That Tells Them They Aren’t Wanted

The Federalist

"In detailing potential variables contributing to the Army’s decline in white recruits, such as a fluctuating labor market and higher obesity rates among American youth, Military.com cited remarks from an unnamed Army official who used the media’s infamous “Republicans pounce!” framing to blame the problem on conservatives. Rather than highlight or criticize the military’s embrace of racialist, so-called “diversity, equity, and inclusion,” or DEI, ideology, the aforementioned official dismissed the idea that young recruits “care” about the service’s leftward trend, suggesting it’s “the older people in their life … who have a lot of influence” about whether these youth decide to serve." . . .

"So-called “diversity,” however, still remains at the forefront of the Army’s campaign, according to Wormuth, who stated, “You’re going to see lots of different people doing lots of different
roles,” including “men and women” and “people of color.” This is “important because one of the things we found in our market research is that a lot of young people admire the Army, but they don’t think there are people like them in the Army,” she added."

The Townhall 50: Tabulating the Worst in Journalism in 2023 - The Top (Bottom) 10!

 Brad Slager

"We have reached that time here at "Riffed From The Headlines" to compile our list of the journalists who distinguished themselves over the past year with their departure from journalism ethics, repugnant reportorial displays, soporific punditry, and just plain bad performances throughout the year.
"First, we had to compile examples. Then, measure things based on performance, influence, bias, reach, and work other factors into a complex formula to rank accordingly. It was laborious, but – unlike many on this list – we took the time to research and explore the topics.
"And now, for the exemplary (distaff) portion of the list, as we have reached the apex (nadir) of journalistic excellence (sloth) from 2023. "Here are the Top (bottom) 10 journalists of the year." . . .Full articla here.
Top spot went to MehdinHasan of MSNBC...naturally:

While all the other cable news networks enjoyed rocketing ratings covering the war, MSNBC managed to lose 33% of its audience at the same time. Weeks later, Hasan found himself removed from hosting TWO programs, and ultimately, he announced he was walking away entirely after effectively being shown the door."
