Updated; Democrats say I don't need no stinkin' photo I.D. to vote

Big Government   "U.S. Attorney General Eric Holder has declared that there is no proof that in-person voter fraud is a problem. He's about to see proof that even he can't deny.
"In a new video (below) provided to Breitbart.com, James O’Keefe’s Project Veritas  demonstrates why Holder should stop attacking voter ID laws--by walking into Holder’s voting precinct and showing the world that anyone can obtain Eric Holder’s primary ballot. Literally."
"The young man then suggests that he should show his ID; the poll worker, in compliance with DC law, states: “You don’t need it. It’s all right. As long as you’re in here, you’re on our list, and that’s who you say you are, you’re okay.” "
Here's the part I loved:
"The young man replies: “I would feel more comfortable if I just had my ID. Is it alright if I go get it?" The poll worker agrees.
" "I’ll be back Faster than you can say Furious,” the young man jokes on his way out, in a reference to the Fast and Furious gunwalking scandal that has plagued Holder’s Department of Justice."

“It’s no coincidence that these so-called examples of rampant voter fraud consistently turn out to be manufactured ones.”
nullIn other words, there wouldn’t be any holes in the system if conservative activists would stop pointing them out." Obama supporters say, "Hey, give us any excuse to hang our hat on, even if it makes no sense. Just give us something, anything!"

Project Veritas demonstrates why Holder should stop attacking voter ID laws

John Fund: Voter fraud is a scandal, and the attorney general can’t look away anymore.  "Holder’s opposition to ID laws comes in spite of the Supreme Court’s 6–3 decision in 2008, authored by liberal Justice John Paul Stevens, that upheld the constitutionality of Indiana’s tough ID requirement. When groups sue to block photo-ID laws in court, they can’t seem to produce real-world examples of people who have actually been denied the right to vote. According to opinion polls, over 75 percent of Americans — including majorities of Hispanics and African-Americans — routinely support such laws."

"Note that O’Keefe’s assistant never identified himself as Eric Holder, so he was not illegally impersonating him.
Nor did he attempt to vote using the ballot that was offered him, or even to accept it. O’Keefe has been accused by liberals of committing voter fraud in his effort to expose just how slipshod the election systems of various no-ID-required states are, but lawyers say his methods avoid that issue. Moreover, he has only taped his encounters with election officials in jurisdictions that allow videotaping someone in public with only one party’s knowledge.
Is O'Keefe's group at risk for this?   "The New Hampshire attorney general‘s office is investigating after a video surfaced that appears to show people using the names of deceased individuals to obtain ballots on the day of the state’s presidential primary..."

Geert Wilders: A CHILLING REPORT FROM HOLLAND

Via Islamica  Geert Wilders is a Member of the Dutch Parliament.  "In a generation or two, the US will ask itself: "Who lost Europe?" Here is the speech of Geert Wilders, Chairman, Party for Freedom the Netherlands, at the Four Seasons in New York, introducing an Alliance of Patriots and announcing the Facing Jihad Conference in Jerusalem .."

And the numbers would not be threatening if the Muslim-immigrants had a strong desire to assimilate. But there are few signs of that. The Pew Research Center reported that half of French Muslims see their loyalty to Islam as greater than their loyalty to France .  One-third of French Muslims do not object to suicide attacks. The British Centre for Social Cohesion reported that one-third of British Muslim students are in favor of a worldwide caliphate. Muslims demand what they call 'respect'. And this is how we give them respect. We have Muslim official state holidays.
...."Now you know why Winston Churchill called Islam 'the most retrograde force in the world', and why he compared Mein Kampf to the Quran.  The public has wholeheartedly accepted the Palestinian narrative, and sees Israel as the aggressor. I have lived in this country and visited it dozens of times. I support Israel. First, because it is the Jewish homeland after two thousand years of exile up to and including Auschwitz; second because it is a democracy, and third because Israel is our first line of defense. "This tiny country is situated on the fault line of jihad, frustrating Islam's territorial advance."....

Wait upon the Court

Morphing Reality in Service to Obama's Reelection

Victor Davis Hanson  "Suddenly, the Supreme Court is a suspicious organization run by unelected politicos that uses capricious judicial fiat to overturn widely popular laws. The president denigrated it in a State of the Union address and now suggests that such “unelected” jurists (as opposed to electing them?) should act responsibly and thus “must” not find a popularly enacted law unconstitutional.

"I am confused: I thought we were supposed to welcome such judicial audit. Was not that the charm of the Warren Court? Did not the Obama administration go to federal court to ask justices to set aside the Defense of Marriage Act that it was entrusted to enforce — seeking judicial help not to follow a law that it chose not to seek to overturn in Congress?"Political Cartoons by Steve Kelley
....Putting a bounty on someone’s head is not a crime? Posting a private address to followers for the intent to foment violence against the residents is not either? Nor is doctoring a tape to inflame racial tensions in a period of unrest a terrible thing to do. For congressional representatives to label someone not charged with a crime an assassin or executioner is not considered bad taste and draws little rebuke.

The Environmental Terrorizing of Children

Warning Signs  "A key element of the Green’s endless indoctrination schemes has been to reach children, the most vulnerable among us and for this reason our schools have been turned into Green prisons where their version of the Earth is pumped into the minds of children here and around the world.
"Their primary teaching tool is fear. Fear that the oceans will rise and wipe out entire cities. Fear that the rainforests are disappearing. Fear that entire species are being destroyed by the hand of man. Fear that the use of any kind of fuel, coal, natural gas, and oil is despoiling the planet."

Rev. Wright unleashed; sees “white supremacy” driving “world policy” (Updated)

Update: Jeremiah Wright: Yes, Obama Heard My Radical Sermons For 20 Years…
“I’ve been preaching the same way since I was licensed to preach in 1959, ordained in 1967. Barack was in elementary school when I was ordained. CBS, ABC, MSNBC and Fox News spent $4,000 each buying 20 years of my sermons so they could hear what Barack Obama heard for 20 years.” (Video)

His controversial words took aim at Thomas Jefferson, Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas, the media and plenty of other targets.
"Last week, Wright spoke at Metropolitan Baptist Church in Charleston, West Virginia, as part of a week-long revival event. His controversial words took aim at Thomas Jefferson, Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas, the media and plenty of other targets."

To be a Jew is to be a magnet for hatred, no matter how unjustified and irrational.

Aish.com - Your Life, Your Judaism

"I can't force the horrifying image out of my mind.
"The murderer on the motorcycle dismounted, grabbed the beautiful eight-year-old little girl by her hair. He put a gun to her head and pulled the trigger. When it failed to fire, he switched to another weapon, shot the girl at point-blank range in the temple, calmly retrieved his moped and rode off."
Never fear, Israel. We
Americans will have
 your back
...."You see a man park his motorcycle, start to shoot, enter the school grounds and chase children to catch one and shoot a bullet into her head. It's unbearable to watch. He was looking to kill."
...."It is beyond human imagination to fathom how anyone can single out innocent children for assassination. We struggle to understand, but the level of evil involved surpasses anything we can comprehend."
...".We weep because we are witness to a threat to the civilized world that is still mistakenly identified as a Jewish problem — and then conveniently shunted aside as unworthy of global concern."

Jewish Ideas Daily: How the Left Turned Against the Jews  "Political and personal betrayals filled her life. But as Colin Shindler shows in his Israel and the European Left ...her embrace of anti-Semitism would have struck her fellow Communists as no betrayal at all.
http://fawstin.blogspot.com/
"Before I go further, I should say that Shindler's book is superb: a well-written and meticulously researched history of the horrors and ironies of the last 100 years. He shows how screaming stereotypes and anti-Semitic conspiracy theories developed by Marxists — not by fascists or Islamists or Catholic and Orthodox nationalists, but by the Left — have survived while all around has changed." (Emphasis added)

"Excuse my cynicism, but how is it that these countries can get away with ethnically cleansing their Jewish communities yet reap the PR benefits of restoring Jewish buildings?"

Will churches boycott Israel? "All five of the mainline denominations in the United States – Methodist, Presbyterian, Episcopalian, Lutheran and United Church of Christ – have debated or adopted policies intended to divest or boycott Israel.
"These Churches are now at a crossroad. During the upcoming General Conference of the United Methodist Church ... and the General Assembly of the Presbyterian Church USA ... anti-Israel actions in the form of boycott, divestment or sanctions are expected to be brought to the floor for a vote. The strategic objective of this campaign is not economic. It has been and continues to be about the isolation and the weakening of Israel’s image in the eyes of the world — and most crucially, America."
Some Jewish background: the yarmulke  "...a hemispherical or platter-shaped cap, usually made of cloth, often worn by Orthodox Jewish men to fulfill the customary requirement held by some orthodox halachic authorities that their head be covered at all times, and sometimes worn by both men and, less frequently, women in Conservative and Reform communities at times of prayer."

So much for that two-state solution in Israel (Video restored)

Neil SnyderWar in the Middle East May Be Inevitable   "According to Arens, the Israeli public's mood has changed dramatically as a result of the failure to achieve anything that even resembles peace despite repeated unilateral efforts by the Israeli government to win the cooperation of Palestinian leaders.  To buttress his point, Arens discussed these failed attempts to move the peace process forward:"

1. The Oslo Peace Accords: Arens calls them "an abject failure."
2. Ehud Barak's unilateral withdrawal from Southern Lebanon in 2000: it led to the Second Lebanon War in 2006.
3. Barak's attempt to buy off Yasser Arafat by offering him the Temple Mount and much more in Jerusalem: Arafat flatly rejected the offer and launched "an unprecedented wave of terror against Israeli civilians."
 4. Prime Minister Ariel Sharon's unilateral withdrawal from Gush Katif in the Gaza Strip: it was a "grave mistake" because it led to "Hamas taking control of the Gaza Strip and the subsequent rain of rockets on southern Israel."
   5. The Arab Spring: it brought "Islamic fundamentalist rule to the Arab world" and "strengthened the skepticism of many Israelis regarding the presumed advantages of offering territorial concessions to our Arab neighbors."
Snyder follows up with this column:  "Israeli citizens are moving to the right because that's what the evidence indicates they must do."

(Video restored) Imagine Israel living next door to a nation of these people:
I
She recounts with much relish the Hebron Massacre
"There were also stories of Arabs who risked their own lives to save Jews. Rivka Slonim Burg -- the daughter of Rav Slonim and the sister of Eliezer Dan Slonim – recalls [16] that before the massacre there were good relations with the Arabs in the area. “We were even invited to each other’s semachot, joyous occasions.” She was only eight years old when, together with the rest of her immediate family, she hid behind Abu Shaker, the Arab neighbor who stood in the doorway of her family’s home in Hebron, protecting them from the mob."

...."After the massacre, which came to be known as “Meoraot Tarpat --The Events of 5689,” Rav Franco and Rav Slonim made a list of those Arabs who saved Jews during the massacre. The list is published, along with other documents, in Sefer Hevron. Out of a community of 18,000 Arabs, there are nineteen names on the list"

Case of Obama-bashing Marine renews debate over First Amendment rights

The Hill  ...."Stein called Obama a “domestic enemy”  and said he would not follow orders from the president, though he later clarified that he was talking about not following unlawful orders.
" "This is what he's putting out to the public, and he's a sergeant of the Marines, on active duty," said Capt. John Torresala, according to the Los Angeles Times. "How can this not be prejudicial to good order and discipline?" '
...."Hunter, who wrote that Stein should not be discharged for an opinion shared by the majority of Marines, said that Stein was acting as a private citizen “in a forum that encourages civil interaction between family, friends and acquaintances.”
" “He did not appear to be representing the Marines Corps,” Hunter said in his letter to the Marines, “or creating the illusion that he was speaking in some official capacity.” "
Though TW agrees with this Marine's feelings, his words could be construed as inspiring mutiny and could well cause big problems in future critical missions. The Marines are a crack outfit; don't mess with what works well.

Western Journalism Center

" “Good order and discipline require the military maintain respect for the chain of command,” Glazier said. “That includes prohibiting speech critical of the senior officers in that chain of command — up to and including the commander in chief.”
"According to Pentagon directives, military personnel in uniform can’t sponsor a political club; participate in any TV or radio program or group discussion that advocates for or against a political party, candidate or cause; or speak at any event promoting a political movement.
"Commissioned officers also may not use contemptuous words against senior officials, including the defense secretary or the president."
WESTERN JOURNALISM.COM  [Sgt. Stein] "is the founder of the Facebook page called the Armed Forces Tea Party, which he formed in 2010 as an expression of free speech. The page  currently has more than 26,000 followers  and according to its description is ”in no way affiliated with the military, or United States Armed Forces.” He has spoken at several tea party events in southern California during the last two years outside of uniform."
By way of contrast with Sgt Stein:

Obama's friend, Bill Ayres on the military: ENTITLED DOMESTIC TERRORIST MIFFED THAT TROOPS TREATED WITH RESPECT  "Ayres seems to think it is his self-appointed job to “marginalize it and discourage” respect for the military.  Because showing respect to those who guarantee Bill Ayers the right to sound like an entitled and pompous jackass is something beyond his intellectual grasp.
"My guess is among the Bill Ayers of the world, war is never the answer.  Unless of course it is his moth eaten hide that’s in jeopardy.  And then, by God, he’d be the first demanding those who serve in the military put their lives on the line for his lousy existence."

Bill Ayres should love Stein's principles because decades ago he was trying to get our GI's to disobey orders from the chain of command and praising those who did. Though I feel Sgt is worthy of far more honor than Ayres and his Woodstock generation, I can't help but fear Ayres would love to see the military structure disintegrate.

Victor Davis Hanson: Beware of the Mob led by a demagogue

Victor Davis Hanson  "The role of a president is to rein in the mob, not to unleash it. The latter is what community organizers do; the former is what makes statesmen. Yet on issue after issue — anti-terrorism, global warming, government ethics, and racial relations — a frenzied mob, egged on by the media and demagogues like Barack Obama, have almost stormed the jail, only to dissipate when met by either evidence, or the knowledge that the incarcerated was one of their own — as if they had never screamed and threatened in the first place."

Charles Krauthammer: Obama v. SCOTUS

Charles Krauthammer  "The president’s preemptive attack on the court was in direct reaction to Obamacare’s three days of oral argument. It was a shock. After years of contemptuously dismissing the very idea of a legal challenge, Democrats suddenly realized there actually is a serious constitutional argument to be made against Obamacare — and they are losing it.

"Here were highly sophisticated conservative thinkers — lawyers and justices — making the case for limited government, and liberals weren’t even prepared for the obvious constitutional question: If Congress can force the individual into a private contract by authority of the commerce clause, what can it not force the individual to do? "
