Here's your sign

Hat tip to Jerry Bentley; Lompoc, CA
Signs make a statement  ""We've been insulted,'' said Ray Gaster, owner of Gaster Lumber. "He's picked on big business and now he's come down to my level and I'm not going to stand around and take it. I'm not going to go quietly.''
"So, Gaster's reaction has been screaming outside all three Gaster Lumber locations since Friday, coming from a sign that is as defiant as it is suggestive."
...."When he gets off the teleprompter, he makes some outrageous statements,'' said Gaster. "And this time I think he's insulted every small business person out there anybody who's started a business and built a business and this is my answer.''

Charles Krauthammer; Romney’s excellent trip

Charles Krauthammer   "Look at how Romney was received. In Israel, its popular prime minister lavished on him a welcome so warm as to be a near-endorsement. In Poland, Romney received an actual endorsement from Lech Walesa, former dissident, former president, Cold War giant, Polish hero.

"Two staunch U.S. allies salute a man they would like to see lead the free world. Yet the headlines were “shove it” and “culture.”
"Scorecard? Romney’s trip was a major substantive success: one gaffe (Britain), two triumphs (Israel and Poland) and a fine demonstration of foreign-policy fluency and command — wrapped, however, in a media narrative of surpassing triviality."
Obama joins a long line of those who commit Western betrayal of our allies.

Jimmy Carter sold out the Shah of Iran and continues to stab Israel in the back, front and side.  This Jerusalem Post cartoon has poor resolution, but I like what it says about Israel as depicted by Western politicians vs. the ancient Scriptures. TD

Can Conservatives Be Environmentalists?

Morning Bell

"The Heritage Foundation, in collaboration with fellow experts on the environment, has published a new benchmark for progress: the American Conservation Ethic.
"The Ethic reflects every American’s aspiration to make the environment cleaner, healthier, and safer for future generations. It is based on eight basic principles that were first published in 1996 and provides a roadmap to environmentally sound prosperity.
"Much of the policy that has come to guide American actions on the environment is not based on scientific integrity. Heritage’s Dr. David Kreutzer and Dr. Roy Spencer, a climatologist formerly with NASA who is a research scientist at the University of Alabama-Huntsville, examine this in a chapter on carbon dioxide:" More...

TOP 10 WAYS WHITE HOUSE AVOIDS TRANSPARENCY

Big Government   "The House Committee on Energy and Commerce released a report Tuesday which details some of the ways in which the Obama White House has side-stepped its promise to be transparent in the way it conducts business. This means it's a good time to review some of the many ways the Obama administration avoids transparency even after promising to be the most transparent administration in history:"

UPDATED: The big kiss-off at Chick-fil-A; watch this space later today

Kiss-Off Free Speech  "The "kiss-in" is the intolerant reaction to Dan Cathy, president and COO of Chick-fil-A. The so-called "Equality Illinois" advocates, who refuse to respect Cathy's right to free speech, are planning to exercise their free speech rights - on Cathy's property.
"What's not to love about that? Protesting against a person on his private property because you don't like his opinion is apparently the latest expression of Obama's "You didn't build that!"

Neal Boortz; But we believe in equal rights....  "School time.  Would you like to learn how to drive these “equal rights for gays” folks absolutely bat-quano crazy?  It’s ridiculously simple, really.  Just tell the person who’s life you want to make miserable that there is not one single right under out law that can be exercised by a straight male that can’t be exercised by a gay male.  Ohhhhh … they think they’re going to nail you right from the get-go.
" “Well, a gay male can’t marry another man!”
“[N]Either can a straight male.”"

...."Uh oh.  With just that simple exchange the proggie knows that he’s in trouble.  He just can’t let go though --- so he gets out his shovel and digs the hole a little deeper.
“But a gay male can’t marry the person he loves!”
" “Yes he can … if the person he loves is a woman.  And those are the exact same rights the straight male has.” "

Updates: Chick-fil-A 'kiss' day marred by 'Tastes like hate' graffiti   "On a day that some gay-rights activists are planning a "National Same-Sex Kiss Day," a Chick-fil-A in Torrance was vandalized overnight with hateful graffiti."

Mainstream Media Blacks Out Chick-fil-A Story? "There's no mention of Chick-fil-A on the front pages of the New York Times, the Wall Street Journal, the Washington Post, the Chicago Tribune, the Los Angeles Times, theSouth Florida Sun-Sentinel, and the Boston Globe. The front pages of USA Today, the Dallas Morning News, and the Houston Chronicle have small headlines about the restaurant, while Chick-fil-A's hometown paper, the Atlanta Journal-Constitution, fits in a story below the fold under the heading, "Chick-fil-A Controversy." And the front pages of major news websites are quiet in their coverage as well."

Chick-fil-A Opponents Stage Same-Sex Kiss-In  "It is just a nice nonviolent demonstration of LGBT love," said Rome Frost, who is organizing a kiss-in outside of New York City's only Chick-fil-A location, at New York University." ....
"Frost said he expects between 150 and 200 people – both gay and straight – to show up for the New York City kiss-in, which starts at 8 P.M. ET."

Breakpoint; Can a Christian Judge AND Love?   "What’s more, contrary to popular proof-texts, Jesus never said that one sinner can’t or shouldn’t judge the actions of another. Instead, in the context of Matthew chapter 7, Jesus teaches that we should be attentive to our own “specks,” so that we can “see clearly” (that is, discern readily and rightly) the specks of others and help with the removal process."

Chick-fil-A protests: Will petition and 'kiss-in' help or hurt?

LA Times  "The kiss-in, meanwhile, has some gay and lesbian supporters questioning whether such outward displays of affection will ultimately help or hurt their cause."
....

"I respect not patronizing their establishment ... but by taunting them in their establishment is hate-filled and inciting anger and hate," said one commenter on a Causes.com page urging people to participate in the kiss-in.
"Suggested another: "Its okay to disagree but its not okay to confront a person on their views in such an aggressive and provocative manner. There are forums for that."
"McGehee told the Los Angeles Times that she encouraged participants to be "polite and tasteful."
" "This is about us showing our love.... We're not encouraging people to be outrageous or lewd." "

Hate & Marriage: Bakery Hit With 1,000 Angry Messages

The Pearcey Report  "Masterpiece Cake Shop in Lakewood, Colorado, says yes to marriage and therefore no to the counterfeit version that mobs of radical homosexuals are trying to impose upon Americans."
...."That's right: They'd like to order a three-layer cake of "equality." And if you know what's good for you, you'll play along.
"Or we'll show up at your door and tolerate you to death. Kisses of death on the house."

The story: Lakewood Cake Shop Refuses Wedding Cake To Gay Couple   "Some customers said they are now ordering cakes at the shop specifically because of the stance against gay marriage.

" “We would close down that bakery before we closed our beliefs, so that may be what it comes to … we’ll see,” Phillips said.  "A larger protest is scheduled to take place next Saturday."

Get used to it; no matter how much class Conservative Americans show, the left will disdain and insult us. They do not like us.

Mediate; Shep Smith Makes Apparent Slam Of Chick-Fil-A Appreciation Day As ‘National Day Of Intolerance  "As one of the main charms of Fox News’ Studio B with Shepard Smith is that anything can happen, and it usually does. For example, as Smith was tossing to commercial Wednesday afternoon, he took what seemed like a hard shot at former Arkansas Governor and Fox stablemate Mike Huckabee‘s “Chick-Fil-A Appreciation Day,”invented to celebrate that restaurant chain’s opposition to marriage equality.
"Delivering one of those banal date-related factoids that news shows throw out there every so often, Smith said “It’s National Badminton Day,” then added “forget National Day of Intolerance, let’s just stay with badminton.” Smith has previously(sic) express support for marriage equality."
Political Cartoons by Glenn McCoy
Why are liberals so intolerant?  "Big-city mayors from Boston, Chicago, San Francisco and Washington, D.C., vowed to use their political clout to keep Chick-fil-A out of their cities. When the company’s top spokesman died unexpectedly last week, one liberal friend of mine declared on Facebook, “Oh, karma, you crafty bitch.”
"I thought liberals were the ones preaching tolerance?"

Speech police talk nasty about Chick-fil-A   "These officials did not merely express an opposite point of view. They threatened to use their political power to punish a man — and those who work for him — for saying something with which they disagree. The message this sent is crystal-clear and chilling: Conform to the “accepted” view, or else."

Romney, don't fall into that financial records trap that Democrats are setting!

Ann Coulter; Obama's Signature Move: Unsealing Private Records  "Mitt Romney presents one enormous problem for Barack Obama's campaign: No divorce records. That's why the media are so hot to get their hands on Romney's tax records for the past 25 years. They need something to "pick through, distort and lie about" -- as the Republican candidate says.
"Obama's usual campaign method, used in 100 percent of his races, has been to pry into the private records of his opponents."
...".Let's take a romp down memory lane and review the typical Obama campaign strategy. Obama became a U.S. senator only by virtue of David Axelrod's former employer, the Chicago Tribune, ripping open the sealed divorce records of Obama's two principal opponents."  Emphasis mine, TD
In a coordinated effort, Harry Reid comes up with this sleazy trick: Reid: 'I Heard Romney Has Not Paid Taxes for Ten Years'   "Clearly, Reid’s accusation, based on a random and lone source, was the excuse the mainstream media needed to continue talking about Romney’s taxes instead of Obama’s economy."

" “Here’s a rule of thumb, if you have to follow you claim with the words, ‘I don’t know if this is true’ then shut up.” Stewart said, comparing Reid to Donald Trump."
But I disagree that Romney should release more years of Tax returns for the reasons that Ann Coulter lists above. I replaced the former video because it wouldn't play. Maybe this one will work. Maybe this one will work.

Rick Moran writes in American Thinker: Reid doubles down on hearsay tax charges against Romney  "It used to be that members of one's own party would come down on someone making an absolutely spurious charge like this. But there is only silence from Obama and the Democrats are now in desperation mode with the economy continuing to tank and the election less than 100 days away."

The Sad Truth About Bad Bulbs

The Gorebulb
PJ Media   "STUDY: CFLs are bad for you. Daily Caller reports:"

Scientists concluded that CFL light bulbs can be harmful to healthy skin cells.“Our study revealed that the response of healthy skin cells to UV emitted from CFL bulbs is consistent with damage from ultraviolet radiation,”....
"I was an early adopter of CFLs, but have since removed almost all of them from our house. Not because of reports like this one, or because of the potential for expensive cleanups after a broken one, or any of the other many problems the screwy little bulbs create.
"No, I took them out because the light sucks. And also because they’re too expensive, don’t last as long as advertised, and therefore aren’t any cheaper to run."    More...

The media and the Chick-fil-A Appreciation Day; reading list. Should we also swamp the big "kiss-in" at Chick-fil-A again on Friday ?

CBS Atlanta came to record a protest, NOT this. The camera work is frustratingly bad, but revealing.

CBS Atlanta tweeted this response:

we did cover it - that crew covered appreciate day at another      location.

Ethel Fenig tells of My strictly kosher experience at Chick-fil-A Appreciation Day
"From what I heard most of the people who specifically came for Appreciation Day did so not because of the president of Chick-fil-A's ideas on same sex marriage but to support freedom of opinion and oppose political bulldozing."

Roseanne Barr revives Christian bashing in wake of Chick-fil-A Day: She tweeted:
"for God so loved the world that he sent his only begotten son to hate the gays"

Florida reporter lashes out at Chick-fil-A protesters  (Meaning us)  " “[T]too bad there wasn’t another reporter around to go with me and film it. I really wanted to do the interviews on camera while eating out of a bucket of KFC,” he added".  Is there any doubt that the left has an intense dislike for those of us who are not in the tank for their causes and who resent their demagoguery ?

Media Crusade Against Chick-Fil-A Continues " Lately, however, media outlets have deployed their resources to help the left destroy the Christian chicken chain."

Shocking proof of specie-ism at Chick-fil-A:  In this disgusting display of condescension, the intelligence of bovine-Americans is ridiculed by the restaurant in this specie-ist illustration portraying them as illiterate. This is stereotypical and we utterly eject this implication.

PJ Media has pictures from all over.  The article included this quote:
The gal in front of me there was talking of  “kiss-ins” on Friday in support of gay rights.  She said if they did that, she was bringing her husband and showing them how kissing really works.
