KENYAN CARDINAL TO OBAMA: U.S. SOCIETY ALREADY 'RUINED'

Black Quill and Ink  "Kenyan Cardinal John Njue, Archbishop of Nairobi and president of the Kenyan Episcopal Conference, joined other African leaders last week in open dismissal of President Obama’s urging to accept same-sex marriage. “Those people who have already ruined their society…let them not become our teachers to tell us where to go,” said Njue in response to Obama’s statements promoting same-sex marriage. “I think we need to act according to our own traditions and our faiths.” -

"Obama’s comments were followed by a rebuke from Kenya’s Deputy President, William Ruto. Speaking at a Catholic Church, Ruto said, “Those who believe in other things, that is their business…We believe in God.” "

Guilt Complex? Hollywood Prepping More Anti-Rich Movies

Big Hollywood   "Actor Chris Evans of The Avengers fame is richer than most. The handsome star is part of two major Marvel franchises--the aforementioned super-group series as well as Captain America.

"He recently plunked down $3.52 million for a nearly 4,600 square foot estate in Hollywood Hills, according to the May 27 issue of US Weekly.

"Evans will soon be seen in Snowpiercer, Hollywood's latest film demonizing the rich. The movie is set in a future where the well-to-do live in a posh portion of a train circling our doomed planet while the poor are left to a bleak compartment."

Violence after Zimmerman verdict: why Oakland?

Thomas Lifson  "While law enforcement authorities in Florida braced for violence following George Zimmerman's vindication, it was 2500 miles away in Oakland, California that store fronts were smashed, walls vandalized with graffiti, and small fires ignited in the streets. All in all, a fairly calm reaction. "
"So why Oakland?
....
"The East Bay is home to organized bands of far leftists who use any excuse to bring violent demonstrations to the streets. The Occupy encampment in Oakland took place at the very same spot, Frank Ogawa Plaza, that last night's demonstrations began. Henry Lee and Vivian Ho of the San Fancisco Chronicle reported:"  Read more.

Alan Caruba; Are Americans Living in a Police State?

Warning Signs
"The thing about a police state is that it tends to creep up on you. One day you think the Bill of Rights is intact and the freedoms you take for granted are intact, but the next day you find out that under the National Defense Authorization Act (HR 1540), signed into law by President Obama on December 31, 2011, you can be arrested and detained without recourse to an attorney or the courts."
....
"One of Obama’s many executive orders permits him to “commandeer” all domestic U.S. resources, including food and water supplies, energy productions, and transportation, even in times of peace, with no congressional oversight."
Nobody can commandeer like Obama.

Zimmerman aftermath

Sharpton: 'Slap in the Face to Those Who Believe in Justice in This Country'  "Well, I think that this is an atrocity," said Sharpton. "I think that it is probably one of the worst situations that I've seen. What this jury has done is establish a precedent that when you are young and fit a certain profile, you can be committing no crime, just bringing some Skittles and iced tea home to your brother, and be killed and someone can claim self-defense having been exposed with all kinds of lies, all kinds of inconsistencies. ... Even at trial when he is exposed over and over again as a liar, he is acquitted. This is a sad day in the country....."

Teen threatens 'mass homicide' on Twitter if George Zimmerman is acquitted

FL State Attorney Angela Corey Fires Whistleblower in Trayvon Martin Case   "State Attorney Angela Corey fired her office’s information technology director Friday after he testified last month about being concerned prosecutors did not turn over information to George Zimmerman’s defense team in the shooting death of Trayvon Martin."

"Without a $1,000,000 legal defense war chest, the ordinary citizen has no chance against a dishonest prosecution that disregards evidence and law in its determination to win at all costs.
"I’m writing this without knowing the verdict in the trial of George Zimmerman."

Sweetness and Light
"Meanwhile, the rest of us are regularly subjected to groin searches at airports, thanks to these very same (ahem) gentlemen. But Muslim terrorists, who constantly attack their guards, get a free pass.
"In fact, doesn’t this mean Muslims can’t even be groin searched at airports? While nuns and grannies will still get the full treatment."

Teen arrested over Zimmerman tweet; Canada Free Press holds Obama responsible for racial unrest

Orlando Sentinel
"A 15-year-old boy has been arrested after authorities say he tweeted out a threat to commit a "mass homicide" if George Zimmerman is found not guilty in the death of Trayvon Martin, according to the Lake County News-Sun."

If racial unrest follows Zimmerman jury decision, blame it on Activist Obama   "Fifteen months ago Obama the Activist planted the first seeds of racial unrest when he announced out of the blue:  “You know if I had a son he’d look like Trayvon.” (Politico, March 23, 2012)
"These are the words of an activist, not a president."

Texas pro-abortion protestors explained by one sign   "Texas officials have confirmed they confiscated 18 jars of feces, a jar of urine, and various femine hygiene products that protestors were apparently planning to throw from the balcony in the senate chamber."
Sister Toldjah plucked this image off of Twitter and headlined it as evidence of the "abject failure of modern feminism." It's all that and a whole lot more.

That girl is obviously a minor. School is out in Texas in July so there's no truancy in play, but there is modesty in play. There's also intelligence, or the lack thereof, and kindness, or the lack thereof, and a sense of what is worth treating seriously and what is not.

Mark Steyn and Judicial Watch on the Zimmerman trial

American Thinker "Today's column from Mark Steyn combines wit and profundity on the significance of the Zimmerman trial. He lays out the true extent of the corruption of the judicial process underway, with his trademark irony at full throttle: In real justice systems, the state decides what crime has been committed and charges somebody with it. In the Zimmerman trial, the state's "theory of the case" is that it has no theory of the case: Might be murder, might be manslaughter, might be aggravated assault,..."

From Heritage: Zimmerman Trial: The Holder Justice Department’s Latest Abuse of Power
"Judicial Watch has released documents showing the latest abuse of power by the Department of Justice (DOJ): helping “organize and manage rallies and protests against George Zimmerman.” "
Documents Obtained by Judicial Watch Detail Role of Justice Department in Organizing Trayvon Martin Protests
' “These documents detail the extraordinary intervention by the Justice Department in the pressure campaign leading to the prosecution of George Zimmerman,” said Judicial Watch President Tom Fitton. “My guess is that most Americans would rightly object to taxpayers paying government employees to help organize racially-charged demonstrations.” "

White House Escalates War of Words With Fox News

Fox News  "Calling Fox News "a wing of the Republican Party," the Obama administration on Sunday escalated its war of words against the channel, even as observers questioned the wisdom of a White House war on a news organization.
" "What I think is fair to say about Fox -- and certainly it's the way we view it -- is that it really is more a wing of the Republican Party," said Anita Dunn, White House communications director, on CNN." (Or MSNBC?)
....
"In recent weeks, the White House has begun using its government blog to directly attack what it called "Fox lies." David Gergen, who has worked for President Bill Clinton and three Republican presidents, questioned the propriety of the White House declaring war on a news organization."
 What if Republicans attacked MSNBC?

And, in this same article, is the reason I call Mr. Obama a petulant juvenile:
"Still, Obama refused to appear on Fox News Sunday with Chris Wallace on Sept. 20, the day he appeared on five other Sunday shows. At the time, the White House characterized the snub as payback for the Fox Broadcast Network's decision not to air an Obama prime time appearance. But last weekend, Dunn blamed Fox News Channel's coverage of the administration for Obama's snub of Fox News Sunday."
