Israel's Defense Chief: Israel Stands Alone Against Iran Nukes

Breitbart London   ... "If Israel had ever expected the United States to take out Iran’s nuclear weapons capability, that is not about to happen, Ya’alon said: “Therefore, on this matter, we have to behave as though we have nobody to look out for us but ourselves.”

"Ya’alon issued a sharp critique of Washington’s attitude toward Iran, suggesting President Barack Obama would prefer to delay any confrontation until it could be passed on to his successor. “People know that Iran cheats,” Ya’alon said. “But comfortable Westerners prefer to put off confrontation – if possible, to next year, or the next president. But in the end, it will blow up.”
....
"I was in Singapore and heard disappointment about China getting stronger and the U.S. getting weaker. Look what’s happening in Ukraine, where the United States is demonstrating weakness, unfortunately.' ”

Enemies laugh at this president; American institutions fear him

Israel's defense chief says U.S. projecting weakness  "His latest comments, confirmed by an Israeli official who was present at lecture Yaalon delivered at Tel Aviv University on Monday, displayed deep disappointment with U.S. President Barack Obama's handling of burning world issues.

" 'We had thought it would be the United States that would lead the campaign against Iran," said Yaalon, who pointed to the Ukraine crisis as an example of Washington "showing weakness"."
Meanwhile, here in the US:
Obama as Imperial President    "Senator Lee cannot understand how the Democrats, during the State of Union Address, gave the President a standing ovation when he said he would bypass Congress to implement his policies. “If a Republican president said and did what President Obama has done I would be up in arms.  I think most, if not all, Republicans in the Senate would call that president on it.  I am stunned that not a single Democrat has come out publicly in opposition to what is happening.  Although, I must say some have told me privately they think I am correct in calling this president out for the sake of the Constitution.' ”

So Obama does to US citizens and institutions what Putin did to Ukraine and Georgia.

A New Obama Doctrine?

"With his presidency in a tailspin, Carter radically changed course. Will Obama do the same?"

Victor Davis Hanson  "Carter was dazed. He had come as a Light into the world to save it, and now the world had rejected him. Why was his magnanimity sneered at as weakness rather than appreciated and reciprocated with good will? Did these ungrateful countries not realize that they were only making American realpolitikers and reactionaries look good — and thus undermining a rare American internationalist who was more a citizen of the world?
"Soon, a few of those around Carter became quite concerned that the old world order, at least as they had known it since the end of World War II, was unraveling. This was not good for Democratic chances in the upcoming 1980 elections.
"Then all of a sudden Carter flipped. By January 1980 there was a new Carter Doctrine, warning the Soviet Union that the Persian Gulf would be protected by force if necessary. Saudi Arabia may have been a misogynist, fundamentalist, and autocratic monarchy, but human-rights advocate Jimmy Carter declared it was central to Western interests and vowed to protect the Saudi royals." ...

Krauthammer’s Take: Obama Is Being ‘Ridiculed by Russians’

"President Obama has thus far responded tepidly to Russia’s invasion of Ukraine, targeting only several individuals in Russia for sanctions and providing Ukraine with rations as opposed to the arms it requested. Because of Obama’s rhetoric and policy, Charles Krauthammer said the president is being “ridiculed by Russians.”

“ 'If he thinks that sanctioning seven Russians out of a population of, what, 150 million is a sanction, he’s living in a different world,” Krauthammer said. Instead we should be sending Ukraine weapons, something the administration denied because it thinks “somehow to arm the victim of aggression is a provocation,” Krauthammer explained.

"The idea that such small, targeted sanctions will work is “preposterous,” Krauthammer said. “This really is a humiliating response by a president who can’t even get the Europeans to join him in effective sanctions.' ”

Drudge: Russian Deputy PM Laughs at Obama’s Sanctions   "MOSCOW – Russia’s deputy prime minister laughed off President Obama’s sanction against him today  asking “Comrade @BarackObama” if “some prankster” came up with the list."

An Illinois doctor diagnoses ObamaCare in one amazing sentence

Investors.com   ... "It's by Dr. Barbara Bellar, a motor-scooter-riding animal lover, Army veteran and Republican attorney who's taking on a massive challenge of the Chicago political machine for a state Senate seat to combat the fiscal insanity in Barack Obama's adopted home state, which isn't an easy job, as you might imagine, so she made this hilarious homemade video that captures the colossal stupidity of ObamaCare in one (very long) sentence, like this one." ...

Liberals and Their Uppity Enemies

Victor Davis Hanson   "Why do liberals hate Sarah Palin? She has made far fewer gaffes than has Joe Biden, whose verbal mishaps have often been racist in nature. Is dropping your g’s worse than saying “corpse-men“? She does not believe that Canadians speak Canadian in the way the president thinks Austrians speak Austrian. Her life story is inspirational — working mom, without inherited privilege or capital, a successful pre-2008 tenure as an Alaska politician."....
....
"Why do liberals despise Rush Limbaugh more so than, say, conservatives hate Bill Maher or Chris Matthews? Yes, he is vastly more successful and influential, and does them, as the president so frequently whines, a lot of political damage. Of course, the Left hates the fact that Limbaugh went from middle-class to a billionaire, and without the proper educational credentials and anguish along the way to contextualize his wealth. (Keeping millions of listeners entertained for three hours, 250 days a year, is supposedly easy; in contrast, teaching a graduate seminar fifteen times a semester on your dissertation is an ordeal, full of deep thinking and contemplative heavy lifting.)"
....
"Liberals sure hate the Koch brothers. At first glance, this too baffles. It is not the money per se. After all, they idolize George Soros, who predates the Kochs in subsidizing political causes. ... Soros is far more brazen in his partisan giving, and unlike the Kochs is a financial speculator who was tried and convicted abroad."
Liberal cartoonist Pat Oliphant gives Democrats this cartoon to hang somewhere:
po140307.gif
....
"Then there is Clarence ThomasLiberals despise him too. He is not as fair-skinned as Barrack Obama, Eric Holder, or Valerie Jarrett. Nor is his accent free from a resonant Southern twang. He talks the same to every audience, without, to paraphrase Harry Reid, Obama’s inclination to change cadences and intonation to fit the particular political constitutency."
....
"Finally, liberals really hate Fox News. It trumps the audience of MSNBC and CNN combined and then some. Envy of its success accounts for a lot of the ire. So does its vast array of blond bombshells. ... most are highly intelligent and go head-to-head debating left-wing JDs, MDs, and PhDs, with equal or often superior intelligence and often with comparable degrees."

We completely overhauled American health care — to insure 4.2 million people?

Political Cartoons by Michael Ramirez
Lucianne "The number bounced around for years — 46 million. President Obama said it in August 2009: “I don’t have to explain to you that nearly 46 million Americans don’t have health insurance coverage today. In the wealthiest nation on Earth, 46 million of our fellow citizens have no coverage.” He said it dozens more times, including in June 2013: “We are not a nation that accepts nearly 46 million uninsured men, women and children.” The Obama administration pumped the number with official reports. The White House Council of Economic Advisers said, “Perhaps the most visible sign of the need for health care.... "   Full article

Sunday Opinion: College students learn Common Core math

Campus Reform  "College students and others at George Mason University were dumbstruck by the tedious nature of an elementary level Common Core problem during a short series of interviews conducted by Campus Reform last week.
"The problem, 32-12, was demonstrated to those on campus the traditional way and juxtaposed with the Common Core method."

Common Core Math Problems  "Jane Robbins sent me some Common Core Math problems that she had obtained from an elementary school in the Metro Atlanta area.  We’ll let these speak for themselves."

"Just this month, for example, Twitchy exposed a stupid, overly complicated set of Common Core math problems involving “number bonds”—and so much more. Those problems were also being inflicted on kindergarteners."

Also in March, a frustrated dad posted his kid’s absurd Common Core-aligned math homework on Instagram. (RELATED: ‘Why are they making math harder?’ More absurd Common Core math problems)
In February, a group of Common Core-aligned math — math — lessons oozed out of the woodwork which require teachers to ask students if the 2000 presidential election was fair and which refer to Lincoln’s religion as either “liberal” or nothing. (RELATED: Common Core MATH lesson plans attack Reagan, list Lincoln’s religion as ‘liberal’)

The Gateway Pundit  "Barack Obama announced sanctions against 7
officials today, including senior aides to Russian President Vladimir Putin and the former president of Ukraine, Viktor Yanukovych."

"The Kyiv Post reported:
In response to the Russian government’s actions contributing to the crisis in Ukraine, this new E.O. lists seven Russian government officials who are being designated for sanctions. These individuals are Vladislav Surkov, Sergey Glazyev, Leonid Slutsky, Andrei Klishas, Valentina Matviyenko, Dmitry Rogozin, and Yelena Mizulina.
The United States also will seek to hold accountable individuals who use their resources or influence to support or act on behalf of senior Russian government officials. We recognize that the Russian leadership derives significant support from, and takes action through, individuals who do not themselves serve in any official capacity. Our current focus is to identify these individuals and target their personal assets, but not companies that they may manage on behalf of the Russian state.

Follow The Equitable Access to Care and Health Act (HR 1814)

House Tees Up Health Votes   "The House of Representatives plans to vote on several health reform bills this week, and two deserve particular attention.
First, religious liberty is once again in the forefront with a bill that would allow Christian Scientists an exemption from Obamacare’s individual mandate that only the Amish and Old Order of Mennonites now receive. Christian Scientists believe in the healing power of prayer, yet they are required to purchase health insurance laden with expensive medical benefits they won’t use."

"The Equitable Access to Care and Health Act (HR 1814) would allow an exemption from the mandate for individuals who have sincerely held religious beliefs that conflict with Obamacare’s requirement that they purchase compliant health insurance. The EACH Act has at least 210 co-sponsors, including 75 Democrats. Any members worried about voting on legislation that would “fix” Obamacare should put those concerns aside. The bill makes an important statement about bipartisan support for religious liberty and deserves their support."    The Galen Institute
