Baltimore baseball fans trapped in ballpark because of Freddie Gray riots (UPDATED)

UPDATE: Maryland Dem: Baltimore rioters 'mainly from out of town'  " Rep. Elijah Cummings (D-Md.) alleged Sunday that many rioters in Baltimore the previous night were from "out of town," noting that he was amid crowds in the area." . . .

Why isn't Al Sharpton there to calm emotions and talk reason to these rioters?  Oh, never mind; just be glad he's not there. TD
Rick Moran "The "largely peaceful" protest in Baltimore against police turned violent when marchers reached the Camden Yards baseball park where a game had just ended. The unruly crowd began to throw bottles at police and break windows, which resulted in the mayor and police chief ordering those left in the ballpark to stay where they were.
. . .
"Can someone enlighten me as to what this protest is about? No one knows what happened to the young man. The fact that he died in police custody is suspicious but absent any evidence whatsoever that officers were responsible for his death, why the protests and violence?

"I guess it was Baltimore's turn. It would be bad PR strategy to have more than one city being targeted with anti-police protests, so blowing up the tragic death of Freddie Gray into a police brutality issue gives the social justice crowd the perfect opportunity to grab some TV face time and rant against whitey."
. . .
"How silly will these people feel if it comes out that the police had nothing to do with Gray's death? Not very. Judging by what happened in Ferguson when the truth finally came out, the narrative will continue to be advanced without any reference to reality."

HILL-ARIOUS: Bill Clinton’s Wife Condemns ‘Scourge Of Sexual Assault’ In First Big Speech

"In the first major speech of her scandal-plagued presidential campaign, Democrat Hillary Clinton explicitly raised the issue of sexual assault on college campuses.

"Clinton delivered the wide-ranging speech at the Women in the World Summit in New York City on Thursday, according to Inside Higher Ed.

“ 'When women of any age, whether on college campuses or military bases or even in their homes, face sexual assault, then no woman is secure,” she declared.

“ 'Every woman deserves to have the safety and security they need. That means we have to guarantee that our institutions respond to the continuing scourge of sexual assault.' ” . .
. . .
On November 13, 1998, midway through his second presidential term, Bill Clinton paid former Arkansas state employee Paula Jones $850,000 to settle her claim that, in 1991, then-Gov. Clinton exposed his erect penis to her and begged her to have sex with him.
Clinton grabbed Jones’s hand “and pulled her toward him, so that their bodies were in close proximity,” according to a complaint filed in federal court. Jones “retreated several feet.” Unperturbed, Clinton followed Jones, saying “I love the way your hair flows down your back,” and “I love your curves.”
Weiner should ask: What about Broaddrick, Willey?  Larry Elder; 7/31/2013
. . . "The New York Times, among others, tells me to quit the race. Here’s my proposition. I’ll resign when the Times poses this question. In the upcoming NBC-produced miniseries called “Hillary,” who will play Juanita Broaddrick   and Kathleen Willey?

"What, confused expressions? Interesting how the Weiner-get-out crowd forgets that “everybody lies about sex” – except when it comes to politicians whose last name is not Clinton." . . .

CHART O' THE DAY: How the Clinton Global Initiative Used its Funds During Hillary's Tenure at State

Doug Ross Journal
" In 2010, when Barack Obama said, "I do think at a certain point you’ve made enough money," he certainly wasn't referring to the Clintons.
"Because it wasn't enough for Bill Clinton to sell sensitive missile technology to the Red Chinese for campaign donations. It wasn't enough for Hillary Clinton to sell America's most valuable nuclear technologies to the Russians for "contributions" to her family's personal piggy bank.

"That piggy bank, otherwise known as "The Clinton Global Graft Initiative", had an interesting way of doling out the "contributions" it received."

"The Clintons are a malignant tumor on the body politic. They have a history of doing anything for money and when it comes to their personal bank accounts, there's apparently never enough zeroes."

Al Qaeda Hostage’s Family Paid $250,000 For Release, Obama Regime Didn’t Tell Them He’d Been Killed In January So They Continued To Negotiate

"I didn’t think this regime could sink any lower than they already have, but why they kept the family in the dark is beyond me. Even if there was something classified, why couldn’t you just say you know he was dead? And didn’t they know the family was negotiating?

"Via NY Post:
The al Qaeda captors of now-slain hostage Warren Weinstein pocketed $250,000 in ransom money from his family in 2012, before reneging on the secret deal, according to a Pakistani intermediary.

The captors even continued to negotiate with the intermediary for weeks after the 73-year-old American aid worker was accidentally killed in a US drone strike in January.

After that strike, the kidnappers spoke of handing Weinstein over to ISIS, never hinting he was dead, according to the intermediary, who spoke directly with the terrorists.

The ransom money — in $100 bills — had been handed over to kidnappers in Peshawar in northwestern Pakistan about a year after his capture.

Fraternity charged with theft after students urinate on flag, spit on veterans

"On Friday, the University of Florida said it is charging the Zeta Beta Tau fraternity with theft, along with obscene behavior, public intoxication, causing physical or other harm and damage to property after students urinated on a flag and engaged in what was called inappropriate behavior, WHNT reported Friday. The school, WHNT said, suspended the fraternity for students' actions at a Panama City beach resort and the fraternity has expelled three of its members.

"Warrior Beach Retreat Founder Linda Cope said students threw marshmallows at vehicles belonging to veterans, made inappropriate comments to females at the retreat and tore flags off their cars. They also spat on a service member and his dog. Worse yet, police filed no charges in the incident.

“ 'They actually spit on me and my service dog as well, and that’s just so disrespectful and it hurts. I come and I feel honored and I feel safe and that I belong, but now I feel like I’m defending myself,” said Nicholas Connole, a wounded veteran at the event. Cope, the organizer of the event, said students "were urinating off the balconies, throwing up in the elevators, making suggestive and sexual comments about veterans with their service dogs and derogatory and suggestive comments about their wives." She also said it was all too reminiscent of treatment meted out to Vietnam veterans." . . .

Sad to see the "peace" symbol making a fashion comeback. Most who wear it are too young to realize that during the Vietnam war, people sporting that image assaulted and spat on our soldiers. I remember it and will never be caught wearing the thing. TD

Urban Legend: Hillary Clinton was fired from the House Judiciary Committee's Watergate investigation by Chief Counsel Jerry Zeifman. HOWEVER. . .

It’s true that Hillary Clinton’s ex-boss has accused her of being a “liar” and “unethical” during the House Judiciary Committee’s impeachment inquiry into Watergate, but claims that she was fired for those reasons are false. Truth or Fiction

Snopes claims NOT True

. . . "This passage leaves many readers with the belief that Hillary Rodham took it upon herself to decide that President Nixon should not be represented by counsel during evidentiary hearings, to deliberately draft a brief that ignored precedent in that area, and to personally hide evidence of the precedent she had ignored so that no one could discover her dishonesty. But nearly everything stated in this passage is wrong: Hillary Rodham didn't draft a legal brief that was "unethical" (save that it made a legal argument Zeifman didn't agree with), she didn't "confiscate" public documents, and she didn't do anything that she hadn't been directed to do by her supervisor (and Zeifman's)" . . .

Truth or Fiction claims truth AND fiction
. . . "The column was inspired by statements made by Jerry Zeifman, a Democrat who served as counsel and chief of staff for the House Judiciary Committee during the Watergate investigation. Zeifman’s book, “Hillary’s Pursuit of Power,” and comments that he made on his website, which is no longer active, have been critical of Hillary Rodham Clinton’s actions during the Watergate investigation, and in the years that followed.
Jerry Zeifman said he supervised Hillary Rodham Clinton as she worked on the team that worked on the Watergate impeachment inquiry, and that during the investigation Hillary Clinton had “…engaged in a variety of self-serving, unethical practices in violation of House rules.”

"But while Jerry Zeifman has been consistent in his criticism of Hillary Rodham Clinton’s work on the Watergate investigation, circumstances surrounding her termination are less clear. In a 1999 interview with the Scripps Howard News Service, Zeifman said he didn’t have the power to fire Clinton, or else he would have:" . . .Keep reading

WH Correspondents’ Dinner Celebrates the Death of Journalism This Weekend

CNS News

"The White House Correspondents' Association Dinner is Saturday night, and the supposed reason it is held is to raise money for journalism scholarships.  But as Patrick Gavin wrote at Politico, “So why, then, does the Association only dole out around $100,000 in scholarships annually when some of the richest people in the world are at their dinner?”  Good question.

"Gavin made a movie about the most excessive dinner, which is not just a dinner but a three and a half day weekend of partying by politicians, journalists, Hollywood celebrities, and power brokers in the nation’s capital.  “Nerd Prom” is supposed to shock audiences about the extravagance and depravity that Washington, D.C. burps up every year.

. . .
"The president's attitude, and his lawlessness, has lulled journalism to sleep at a time when they were supposed to act as our alarm. Meanwhile, they are celebrating and congratulating themselves this weekend, and then they will go back to sleep.

For 7th year in a row, Obama breaks promise to acknowledge Armenian genocide For 7th year in a row, Obama breaks promise to acknowledge Armenian genocide (CNN)

"He’s weak sauce in everything he does or fails to do."

Via WH Dossier:
President Obama issued a statement on the Armenian genocide that amounts to a contortionist act at the circus, implying the word “genocide” while twisting himself into knots to avoid using the actual term. Today is the 100th anniversary of the Armenian genocide, committed by the Turks. Obama promised during his 2008 campaign to finally use the dreaded word to describe what happened. But, frightened of the reaction by the Turks, he is breaking his promise.

The statement he issued instead must be the warm up by his joke writers, who are piecing together his remarks for Saturday’s White House Correspondents’ dinner. Because this has to be a joke.

Obama lays it on thick, as if a surplus of emotion can atone for the deficit of moral fortitude. The statement is nearly 800 words, among them tear jerkers like “horrific,” “horrors” “solemn” “painful” “solemn” (again) “painful” (again) “terrible” and “dark.”

He tries as hard as possible to get within inches of using the word “genocide” without actually deploying it.

Poignant Photos From Around The World Show Armenian Genocide Has Not Been Forgotten

Armenia remembers 'genocide campaign'
" Ceremonies are being held in Armenia to mark the centenary of the start of mass killings of Armenians by Ottoman Turks.

"The presidents of France and Russia joined other leaders at the memorial for the victims on the outskirts of the capital, Yerevan.

"Armenia says up to 1.5 million people died, a figure disputed by Turkey.

"Turkey strongly objects to the use of the term genocide to describe the killings and the issue has soured relations between the nations." . . .

No Tears for Dead Al-Qaeda Hostage Warren Weinstein; Loved Muslims More Than Fellow Americans, Jews

Debbie Schlussel .."Back in 2011, I wrote about Warren Weinstein and who he really was. He was no different than all of the American “aid workers” and “humanitarians” who purposely and deliberately risk their lives to help America-haters. They are suddenly “AMERICAN!” when they are kidnapped and want to be saved, when it’s too late. My thoughts about Warren Weinstein from December 2, 2011 are the same today, so they bear repeating:

You’ll see no tears from me over Warren Weinstein, the Jewish American hostage taken by Al-Qaeda in Pakistan. Weinstein not only worked for USAID, but, after retiring, decided to remain in Pakistan–for SEVEN years–working for a private contractor. That’s the lifestyle of a far-leftist who is Jewish and American in name only. We all know what happened to Daniel Pearl, who also went to Pakistan of his own accord, just as Weinstein did. Pearl was kidnapped, beheaded, and chopped up like a chicken for dinner because he went to interview individuals he knew were bent on America’s destruction . . . and the Jews’ destruction. But he went anyway. And Warren Weinstein chose to live in Pakistan for seven years as a private citizen.

What kind of “American”–what kind of “Jew”–does that? One who has zero emotional or moral ties to either of those words. Weinstein is supposed to be some sort of expert in “development,” but the only Jews and the only Americans interested in developing Pakistan are the ones who turn a blind eye to Pakistan’s attacks on American soldiers, tourists in Mumbai, and the attack on the Mumbai Chabad Lubavitch Jewish Center. Iran Leader's Nephew To Obama: They're Lying To You

"PJ Media reports that an open letter to President Obama from the nephew of Iranian Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, Dr. Mahmoud Moradkhani, was posted on an Iranian website this past Tuesday. The extraordinary letter states in no uncertain terms that Khamenei is lying in his negotiations with the West, relying on taqiyya, (the Shia doctrine which allows Muslims to lie to infidels in order to further Islam’s goals). Moradkhani clearly states that the Islamic regime has deceived the Iranian people, compares their deception to Hitler’s actions, accuses some of the West’s media of censoring remarks made by Iranian opponents of the regime, calls for Obama to reject the nuclear deal and pleads for the end of the Islamic regime in Iran.

 "The full text follows:"
 Dear Mr. President
I am presenting this open letter as one of the serious opponents of the Islamic republic of Iran on behalf of the like-minded opposition groups and myself. Because of my knowledge of this regime, especially of Ali Khamenei who is my uncle (my mother’s brother), I see it as my duty to inform you about this regime and the issue of nuclear negotiations with the Islamic regime of Iran.
Let me at first inform you that the regime that falsely calls itself a republic came to power in 1979 by deceiving Iranian people and the world through provoking Iranian people against the regime of Mohammad Reza Pahlavi and gaining the support of the world community.
The tragedy of Cinema Rex*, believing in Khomeini’s words and then establishing a backward regime that is violent, medieval and against all international laws are all results of Iranian people and the world community being deceived. We are witnessing that not only a rich and cultured country like Iran has become a victim of this regime but also the Middle East and the whole free world. The intervention of Ali Khamenei’s regime (following Khomeini’s footsteps who had no other intention other that domination of Iraq) in Lebanon, Palestine, Afghanistan, Iraq, and Syria is more than obvious. As if these were not enough, he has now added the Arabian Peninsula to that list.
In any case, this regime has done great damage to Iranians and to the international community.
We can find a historical example of this kind of deception prior to the Second World War. Hitler manipulated and deceived German people and European countries and the hesitation in addressing the problem with Hitler led to a great disaster.   Keep reading...

Boston Marathon Bomber’s True Colors Shown to Jurors

Legal Insurrection
"Dzhokhar Tsarnaev’s obvious lack of remorse."
You wondered how Tsarnaev was handling the death of the little boy who was standing by the explosive he planted? Like this:
 Dzhokhar Tsarnaev Middle Finger

"As the trial of Dzhokhar Tsarnaev entered the penalty phase yesterday, jurors were shown a photo of the Boston Marathon bomber giving the finger to a jail security camera after his arrest.

"The Boston Globe reported:
Jurors view footage of Dzhokhar Tsarnaev making obscene gesture

Jurors in the death penalty trial of Boston Marathon bomber Dzhokhar Tsarnaev on Wednesday were shown video of him making an obscene gesture as well as holding his fingers in the shape of “V” to a surveillance camera in a courthouse holding cell three months after he was arrested in the terror attack.

A prosecutor had shown a picture of Tsarnaev making the obscene gesture to the jury in US District Court in Boston at the end of her opening statement in the penalty phase of the trial on Tuesday, underlining her argument that he was “unconcerned, unrepentant, and unchanged” after the attack.
