The media's attempt to take down Dr. Ben Carson; Alisyn Camerota update

But first, perhaps Politico and others in the media would like to examine this:

Forget Carson and West Point: How About Hillary and the Marines
http://libertyunyielding.com/2015/02/24/cartoon-of-the-day-clintons-again/
"It’s funny how Politico can find an imaginary tale about Ben Carson and West Point, but failed to report on  a true scandal of Hillary and the Marines.  Hillary was speaking to female veterans in 1994, when she related a story about trying to join the Marines in 1975.  She claims they turned her down:

“ You’re too old, you can’t see and you’re a woman.  Maybe the dogs would take you.” (Dogs=Army)

“ 'It was not a very encouraging conversation,” Clinton added. “I decided maybe I’ll look for another way to serve my country.” . . .
. . .
"Hillary has been known to fudge the truth a bit.  She once told an audience that she was named after Sir Edmund Hillary.  The problem with that was she was born several years before Hillary climbed Mt Everest.  At the time Hillary was born, Hillary was an obscure beekeeper in the Australian outback.  No doubt, you remember her story about coming under fire in a 1994 trip to Bosnia.  (Wasn’t Brian Williams on that plane?)

"[B]ack in April, she told an audience in Iowa about her four immigrant grandparents.  That, too, was a bald faced lie.

"I can hardly wait until Politico reports on any of these stories."

Now, on to their coverage of Dr. Ben Carson:

Saturday Movie Matinee: The Media Attempts to Take Down Ben Carson
"The following video will be enraging to those of us who watched 2008 go by without an adequate vetting of Barack Hussein Obama. So much low hanging fruit – his commie grandparents, Frank Marshall Davis, the Marxist club at Occidental,  his drug use, Socialist conferences at Columbia, his close friendship with Bill Ayers and Bernardine Dohrn, his Islamist friends and sympathies – etc, etc, etc….

"They talked about Rev. Wright for about three weeks and dropped it like a lead balloon after Obama gave a “brilliant” (actually an aggravatingly dumb and pretentious) speech on race.

"They refused to look into his friendship with Ayers. Refused to investigate any of the disturbing rumors coming out of Chicago – rumors that I suspect will become common knowledge after Obama leaves office and someone decides to write a tell-all.

"Instead we’re focusing on whether or not someone from West Point offered Ben Carson a scholarship 50 years ago. This is the “scandal” the media gets exited about." . . .

. . . "In an attempt to defend this assault on the character of Ben Carson, Alisyn Camerota of CNN told the candidate on Friday that the media are fair and balanced because they “vetted” Barack Obama as a candidate by checking out reports that he once had a girlfriend, who “may have been a composite character.”

"All of this is happening now because Carson is doing very well in the presidential polls and could actually capture the GOP presidential nomination and threaten Hillary Clinton’s election to the presidency. However, our media are determined to have the first black president, whom they failed to vet for his communist connections and Muslim background, succeeded by the first woman president, no matter how corrupt and how tainted by the Benghazi massacre she may be.

"But in going after Carson, a decent man who has saved countless lives as a surgeon, the media are getting downright mean and silly. And typical of the bias they pretend not to have, they don’t seem to realize how ridiculous they look.

"Carson, who grew up without a father, has credited his mother, teachers, a band director and the choir director at the church he attended while going to Yale for helping turn around his life and becoming a success. After his career as a doctor, he then became a philanthropist, setting up reading rooms in schools and awarding scholarships to students. His adult life is a success story by any objective measure.

"But none of that matters because Carson is a black conservative who threatens the progressive, or dialectical, view of history and he must be destroyed." . . .

Krauthammer: GOP, take the winnings and run.

Charles Krauthammer

. . . "The CNBC debate was a gift for the GOP, so unadorned a demonstration of liberal
condescension, hostility and arrogance that the rest of the media — their ideological cover exposed — were forced to denounce and ridicule their ham-handed colleagues. What happened then? Instead of quitting while they were ahead, the Republicans plunged into a week of meetings and statements, whining and complaining, bouncing around a series of demands, including control of the kind of questions that may or may not be asked at future debates.

"Who’s the genius who thought up that one? First, it instantly allowed the liberal media to turn the tables and play defenders of journalistic independence against GOP bullies.

"Second, it made the Republicans look small. To paraphrase Chris Christie’s “fantasy football” moment, the economy is in the tank, Russia is on the move, the Islamic State is on the attack — and the candidates are debating the proper room temperature for a debate forum?" . . .

The Media Mafia has had it with Ben Carson

Sally Zelikovsky  . . . "Where's the beef?  Who was hurt by this?  Lying is noxious – so much so that it made it to the top ten things you shouldn't do to rattle the Big Guy upstairs.  I wouldn't mind it if Hillary, Bill, Barack, and Joe "Plagiarism Is a Form of Lying" Biden had to spend some quality time in the stocks for their lies.  But if no one is hurt – if it's just a lie or, in this case, more of an exaggeration – is there a punishable infraction?

"If he told this fib on his med school application and he was accepted, it might matter if he pushed out an equally qualified truth-telling candidate.  If he made up this malarkey to get a job, or a loan, then maybe there'd be some beef.

"But this story broke not because Carson lied in order to bolster his campaign or raise money under knowingly false pretenses and was "found out."  It broke not because someone discovered he was lying about his past to get ahead, receive special treatment, or secure the nomination.

"This story was unearthed by the Media Mob.  It was tucked away in Carson's book, Gifted Hands, and Charlie "Still Stupefied that Rubio Thinks Hillary Lied" Rose asked him about it.  This is what the Media Lynch Mob does.  It is their raison d'ĂȘtre.  They are programmed to annihilate Republican candidates, all the more worthy of destruction if they are female, black, Hispanic, or any other minority. " . . .

Carly Fiorina and the View

Michael Ramirez Cartoon

Whoopi Defends Planned Parenthood against Fiorina: ‘No One’s Harvesting Baby Parts’  . . . “Whether you’re pro-choice or pro-life, the majority of Americans are horrified by the reality that we’re harvesting baby parts through late-term abortions,” Fiorina said. “Carly, I need to stop you,” Goldberg interrupted. “Because that is not — you know that’s not true.”
“Carly, no one is harvesting baby parts,” Goldberg continued.
“It’s interesting that Planned Parenthood just announced that they were no longer going to take compensation for that,” Fiorina shot back.
“You can’t say things like that that aren’t true,” Behar interjected. “That offends my sensibility . . ."

Carly Fiorina Leaves The View Looking Like Idiots Once Again
. . . "They showed no decorum interrupting Carly several times showing no objectivity. The truth has no place on any Liberal show and the View is no exception."

After 'Demented' Comments, Fiorina Tells The Ladies of 'The View' She Has 'Thick Skin'
. . . In the most misleading question of the interview, Goldberg asked Fiorina if she is equipped to handle "humor," suggesting Fiorina had blown their jokes out of proportion.

"Of course, comedians can tell jokes. The problem, however, was that "The View's" hypocrisy has been exposed as a result of this feud. Behar, for instance, defended Fiorina when Donald Trump told viewers to "look at that face." Now, Behar is the one attacking the conservative woman's appearance.

"In a last bit of irony, Fox News' Martha MacCullum noted that on Thursday's taping of "The View," the hosts criticized women who attack other women."

Politico drops claim of "fabrication" from its Carson hit piece

Breitbart
GOP Presidential Candidate Ben Carson Takes Book Tour To Florida

. . . "Later on, the original draft states: “When presented with this evidence, Carson’s campaign conceded the story was false.”

"The updated story has amended this story to: “When presented by POLITICO with these facts, Carson’s campaign conceded he never applied.”

"Politico has taken a drubbing on social media and from outlets on the left and right since the original article was published and subsequently questioned on Friday morning.

"As Breitbart News Senior Editor-at-Large Ben Shapiro characterized the backlash:

Politico went for a hit and came up short. In the end, they stepped on a rake. Carson, whose campaign is largely built around bashing the media as biased attack machines for the left, will emerge not only unscathed, but stronger.
Actually, as it turns out, Politico’s story was false.   "First off, Carson’s story wasn’t false. Here is Carson’s recollection of events from Gifted Hands:" . . .

Cats who regretted their life choices

BoredPanda
"We took a lot of heat from dog owners after our last post about dogs that immediately regretted their poor life choices, so we decided it was time to spread the heat: this is Bored Panda's ultimate list of cat-fails!

"Maybe cats are more agile, and maybe even more clever, but that just means that there's that much more trouble for them to get into. Have you ever caught your cat in a predicament? Post your photos below, or vote on your favorite!"

Politico's Kyle Cheney attempts political assassination of Ben Carson

First, before we get into this story, Check out the relevant passage from Carson's book, Gifted Hands, presented as a smoking gun by MSNBC's Benjy Sarlin:

Embedded image permalink

Rush Limbaugh

. . . "'The Politico story is an outright Lie,'" it says here. "Dr. Carson as the leading ROTC student in Detroit was told by his Commanders that he could get an Appointment to the Academy. He never said he was admitted or even applied. The campaign never 'admitted to anything. This is what we have come to expect from Politico.' Politico reporter Kyle Cheney , who has the byline on the Carson story, did not immediately respond to multiple requests for comment," from The Daily Caller.

."RUSH:  I want to show you how this works.  I want to share with you some headlines that have run during the course of this program, and I want to preface it by saying the only people lying here are the Politico.  The only liar in this whole story is The Politico.  Well, actually there's more than that, because every other news organization that has reported and parroted the story is furthering the lie.  Politico is totally lying.  Ben Carson never said he accepted an invitation to West Point.  He never applied.  He never attended.

"He has been up front. He even admitted to Charlie Rose in an interview last month, "Yeah, I was told I could go to West Point. But I told him that was not the way I wanted to go in life.  I wanted to go into medicine." He's never misrepresented this. " . . .
. . .
So they don't know how to take him out.  They wouldn't know how to go about it.  They've tried insulting him. They've tried making fun of him not being able to do math. Nothing seems to damage his support.  "So how about saying he lied about going to West Point?  Let's try that!  Let's try that!  Let's just tell everybody that this guy lied about going to West Point."  That's what they're trying to make people believe today.
Politico Edits Ben Carson Hit Piece, Drops Claims of ‘Fabrication’  "Politico has rewritten the headline, lede, and several portions of the text of an article accusing Ben Carson of “fabricating” part of his personal biography involving the Military Academy at West Point." . . .
Kyle Cheney on Muck Rack

Here are some examples of the work done by Politico's Kyle Cheney

Kyle Cheney links Hillary's troubles to "GOP conspiracy"  Cheney writes, "A seemingly frustrated Hillary Clinton strove on Sunday to link the latest flap over her personal email server with the string of scandals and attacks Republicans raised against her in the 1990s."

Islam's unforgiveable sin: to believe Jesus was God

. . . "Mohammedanism has defined itself as the purest manifestation of the spirit of Antichrist. God speaking through John lays it out in First John chapter 4.

Of course other religions deny the deity of Christ Jesus, but Mohammedanism makes it a central point.

Look up Shirk, the unpardonable sin of Mohammedanism. Read First John and see that they are diametrically opposed.

Indeed, the worst sin one can commit in Mohammedanism is to confess that Jesus is the Son of God.

Makes ya wonder who would build that into their religion.

Is it Shirk (making partners with Allah) to call another person Allah or something Allah, or to call a false god? How can the Christians be forgiven if they call Jesus Christ God? Is this unforgivable?

To get salvation, you draw close to Allah and it's Allah by His Rahmah (His grace) that you are saved. You are not saved except by the grace, nobody is saved except by grace. It's by Allah’s grace, His mercy that we are saved by, and He extends that to those who worship Him alone without partners. They do not break those two commandments that I just quoted to you, because those are the same commandments in the New Testament. I read to you already from Surah an-Nisa, chapter 4, verse 48. Allah says He does not forgive (La Yaghfiru), He does not forgive the setting up of partners with Him in worship, but anything less than this, He can forgive it. And
who ever has committed this Shirk or association with Him, his “partners,” then they have invented a monstrous thing and they will not be forgiven for that.

Doug Ross Journal: "The Most Devious Liars in History"

Jim Quinn

"There were a few different stories coming out over the last few days that reveal the true nature of government and the apparatchiks who use disinformation, devious machinations, fraudulent accounting, and taxpayer money to cover up their criminality, lies, and the true state of the American economy. The use of government accounting tricks to obscure the truth about our dire financial straits is designed to keep the masses sedated and confused.

"A few weeks ago, to great fanfare from the fawning faux journalists who never question any Washington D.C. propaganda, they announced the lowest annual deficit of Obama’s reign of error.

For the fiscal year that ended Sept. 30 the shortfall was $439 billion, a decrease of 9%, or $44 billion, from last year. The deficit is the smallest of Barack Obama’s presidency and the lowest since 2007 in both dollar terms and as a percentage of gross domestic product.

"Jack Lew, the Treasury Secretary, and Obama were ecstatic as they boasted about this tremendous accomplishment. I find it disgusting that our leaders hail a $439 billion deficit as a feather in their cap, when until the mid-2000’s the country had never had an annual deficit above $300 billion. After 183 years as a country, the entire national debt was only $427 billion in 1972. Now our beloved leaders cheer annual deficits above that figure. What a warped, deformed, dysfunctional nation we’ve become.

He can get nothing done. He goes in front of the media and repeatedly talks about how little he can get done. It’s not just his own power that appears weak, but the power of America as a whole." . . .

"Obama is an international joke."

"Barack Obama got laughs Monday saying if GOP candidates can’t take the heat from CNBC moderators, how could they stand up to Russia and China. He himself has not punished China for cyber attacks, he’s allowed Russia to re-imperialize and permitted Iran nuclear weapons. What bothers Anglo-Saxons most about Mr. Obama is his determination to make World War III a fair fight."  Comedian Argus Hamilton

Community Organizing America (Entire article printed here)

Victor Davis Hanson

rules_for_radicals_bible_11-1-15-1
"The modern art of a community organizer seems fairly simple.

"The proverbial agitator identifies a particular aggrieved racial, ethnic, gender, or class group that believes equality of opportunity must guarantee equality of result.

"Then he “organizes” the victims by claiming that their ostensible failure to obtain parity can only be due to systematic racism, sexism, and bias by the supposed callous establishment majority (usually emblemized as callous white, male, heterosexual Christians). Myth is useful (e.g., “hands up, don’t shoot” or “one in four women on campus suffer sexual assault”).

"Next he mounts a shrill campaign to demand “fairness” and “equality” (demonstrations, demonization of public figures, boycotts, media campaigns, showing up outside the homes of supposed enemies of the people, getting “in their faces,” and metaphorically “taking a gun to a knife fight,” etc.).

"Finally, he is willing to meet with authorities (such as the mayor, city council, various legislators, college president, police, etc.). Then the organizer subtly offers “solutions,” a euphemism for payoffs such as new laws, favorable executive orders, lucrative jobs for himself and friends, community block grants, diversity hires, some sort of reparations and set-asides, legal exemptions, new community programs, etc. Soon the organizer’s original radical demands metamorphosize from being shrill and costly to mainstream, doable and akin to cost-effective protection money. And then onto the next victim.

"The community organizer himself usually ends up quite well off, in the manner of Rev. Jeremiah Wright’s mini-mansion on the golf course, or Barack Obama’s book deals, spousal income, home and expansive yard (the latter thanks to Tony Rezko’s largess). The spectrum of community organizers ranges widely, from the buffoonish Al Sharpton to the suave Barack Obama of the 1990s. Univision’s activist Jorge Ramos is a telegenic community organizer of sorts, and he has parlayed his victim shtick into becoming an aristocrat with all the perks of the .0001% — and a multimillion-dollar salary. In good community-organizer fashion, Ramos does not send his children to schools with sizable enrollments of illegal aliens or live in the barrio analogous to those in Delano or Parlier.

"Community organizing under President Obama has been applied to the country at large. "Obama may have wrecked the Democratic Party (loss of the Senate, loss of the House, minority status in all the state legislatures and governorships, well below 50% approval rating of the president, etc.), which now is on the path to becoming openly neo-socialist. But at least he did community organize and thus divide the United States in rather radical ways.

Obama by intent has shattered the populace into dozens of fragments. He cannot put the country back together again, but he did glue enough shards together to reconstruct half of a Humpty Dumpty America, and thus a narrow majority in 2012."

Krauthammer: Obama's foreign policy it to make it look as if something is happening

This petulant juvenile has blamed others for his failures for seven years. I see him dragging out US foreign affairs to pass his mess on to the next administration, which is what one would expect from a politician who spent his elected political life voting "present".
When out of office, expect Obama to sit on the sidelines, speaking snarkily about how he would have handled this nation's affairs much better. The Tunnel Dweller

"President Obama said he didn’t break his vow not to send U.S. troops to Syria when he sent U.S. troops to Syria. He said it was nullified when he sent U.S. troops to Iraq, which he’d vowed not to do. Barack Obama’s Syria strategy is so screwed up he’s trying to change the subject to his Iraq strategy."  Comedian Argus Hamilton

Krauthammer’s Take: Obama’s Foreign Policy Is ‘Make It Look as if Something Is Happening’
"President Obama knows sending 50 special ops forces into Syria won’t accomplish anything, but doing so gives the appearance of having a foreign policy, Charles Krauthammer charged tonight on Fox News’s Special Report. “Five years into this civil war and you have done nothing,”

"Krauthammer said. By announces he’s sending in a limited number of soldiers, Obama is trying to ”give the appearance of motion — make it look as if something is happening so at least he can issue statements.”

“ 'The Russians and Iranians have shown they will do something,” Krauthammer continued. “Obama shown over and over again, 50 special ops in this vast Kurdish area, everybody knows it’s a joke. And the irony is, the Turks have been attacking our Kurdish allies in that enclave, which is why we can’t do a fly zone.' ”
