The media's attempt to take down Dr. Ben Carson; Alisyn Camerota update

But first, perhaps Politico and others in the media would like to examine this:

Forget Carson and West Point: How About Hillary and the Marines

"It’s funny how Politico can find an imaginary tale about Ben Carson and West Point, but failed to report on  a true scandal of Hillary and the Marines.  Hillary was speaking to female veterans in 1994, when she related a story about trying to join the Marines in 1975.  She claims they turned her down:

“ You’re too old, you can’t see and you’re a woman.  Maybe the dogs would take you.” (Dogs=Army)

“ 'It was not a very encouraging conversation,” Clinton added. “I decided maybe I’ll look for another way to serve my country.” . . .
. . .
"Hillary has been known to fudge the truth a bit.  She once told an audience that she was named after Sir Edmund Hillary.  The problem with that was she was born several years before Hillary climbed Mt Everest.  At the time Hillary was born, Hillary was an obscure beekeeper in the Australian outback.  No doubt, you remember her story about coming under fire in a 1994 trip to Bosnia.  (Wasn’t Brian Williams on that plane?)

"[B]ack in April, she told an audience in Iowa about her four immigrant grandparents.  That, too, was a bald faced lie.

"I can hardly wait until Politico reports on any of these stories."

Now, on to their coverage of Dr. Ben Carson:

Saturday Movie Matinee: The Media Attempts to Take Down Ben Carson
"The following video will be enraging to those of us who watched 2008 go by without an adequate vetting of Barack Hussein Obama. So much low hanging fruit – his commie grandparents, Frank Marshall Davis, the Marxist club at Occidental,  his drug use, Socialist conferences at Columbia, his close friendship with Bill Ayers and Bernardine Dohrn, his Islamist friends and sympathies – etc, etc, etc….

"They talked about Rev. Wright for about three weeks and dropped it like a lead balloon after Obama gave a “brilliant” (actually an aggravatingly dumb and pretentious) speech on race.

"They refused to look into his friendship with Ayers. Refused to investigate any of the disturbing rumors coming out of Chicago – rumors that I suspect will become common knowledge after Obama leaves office and someone decides to write a tell-all.

"Instead we’re focusing on whether or not someone from West Point offered Ben Carson a scholarship 50 years ago. This is the “scandal” the media gets exited about." . . .

. . . "In an attempt to defend this assault on the character of Ben Carson, Alisyn Camerota of CNN told the candidate on Friday that the media are fair and balanced because they “vetted” Barack Obama as a candidate by checking out reports that he once had a girlfriend, who “may have been a composite character.”

"All of this is happening now because Carson is doing very well in the presidential polls and could actually capture the GOP presidential nomination and threaten Hillary Clinton’s election to the presidency. However, our media are determined to have the first black president, whom they failed to vet for his communist connections and Muslim background, succeeded by the first woman president, no matter how corrupt and how tainted by the Benghazi massacre she may be.

"But in going after Carson, a decent man who has saved countless lives as a surgeon, the media are getting downright mean and silly. And typical of the bias they pretend not to have, they don’t seem to realize how ridiculous they look.

"Carson, who grew up without a father, has credited his mother, teachers, a band director and the choir director at the church he attended while going to Yale for helping turn around his life and becoming a success. After his career as a doctor, he then became a philanthropist, setting up reading rooms in schools and awarding scholarships to students. His adult life is a success story by any objective measure.

"But none of that matters because Carson is a black conservative who threatens the progressive, or dialectical, view of history and he must be destroyed." . . .
