Hillary, Debbie Stumped on Difference Between Democrats, Socialists

Socialist vs Democrat
comicallyincorrect

NRO  "Chris Matthews stumped Hillary Clinton last night when he asked the Democratic front-runner to explain the difference between Democrats and socialists.

"Clinton paused before beginning, ”Well you’d have to ask” — at which point Matthews interjected, “I’m asking you!”

“You’re a Democrat, he’s a socialist,” Matthews continued, referring to Sen. Bernie Sanders. ”Would you like somebody to call you a socialist? I wouldn’t like someone calling me a socialist.”

"Clinton ducked the question again: ”I’m a progressive Democrat who likes to get things done and who believes we’re better off in this country when we’re trying to solve problems together.”

. . . " 'What's the big difference between a Democrat and a socialist?" he asked a third time. "You're chairman of the Democratic Party. Tell me the difference between you and a socialist." Once again, Wasserman Schultz dodged the question, apparently unaccustomed to being asked real questions from someone like Matthews.

" 'The relevant debate that we'll be having this campaign is what's the difference between a Democrat and a Republican," she said in response. "The difference between a Democrat and Republican is that Democrats fight to make sure everybody has an opportunity to succeed and the Republicans are strangled by their right-wing extremists," she added, completely unable to answer the question throughout the entire exchange.

"A number of people on Twitter had an answer, Twitchy said. For many, there is no difference between the modern Democratic Party and socialists." . . .

It Doesn’t Matter Whether Bill Clinton Actually Raped Juanita Broaddrick, She is a Hero for Accusing Him of It

"If the media can determine that General Westmoreland was not in the same city as Ben Carson on a date more than 30 years ago, surely they could perform the same feat with Bill Clinton and Juanita Broaddrick, if they tried?"
Red State

"A brave rape survivor named Katherine Prudhomme-O’Brien has completely upended the Hillary Clinton campaign’s easy slide towards the Presidency. For those who don’t know, Prudhomme-O’Brien is a New Hampshire state representative who attended a Hillary Clinton town hall earlier this week and decided that she would not be one of the growing number of women whose complaints of rape were ignored by Hillary Clinton.
"In spite of angry glares from the crowd around her, and Clinton repeatedly ignoring her, and uncomfortable sniffs from the media present, Prudhomme-O’Brien stood up and repeatedly demanded that Hillary address the allegations that her husband raped Juanita Broaddrick, and that she participated in the coverup. Repeatedly and doggedly O’Brien confronted Hillary until Hillary snapped and shouted her down.
"Now, suddenly, it was a news story. Numerous prominent media outlets carried the story, initially to describe the rudeness of an elected Republican in New Hampshire. But in order to properly convey the context for Hillary’s outburst, they had to reveal what she was being heckled about." . . .
"Nor am I aware that anyone else has really even attempted to say that Broaddrick is lying for any identifiable reason. Hell, even Joy Behar just said that she would still vote for Clinton even if he did it."

Stranger than Fiction: Hollywood Gets Benghazi Right

Stephen F. Hayes   . . . "This is their story. And the fact that it's a story familiar to readers of The Weekly Standard indicates that Bay, the man behind the blockbuster "Transformers" movies, has taken sides in a way that one might not expect from a successful Hollywood director." . . .

. . . "The movie is based on the book of the same name, written by Boston University journalism professor Mitchell Zuckoff with five CIA contractors who participated in the many battles in Benghazi that night. The authors announced in the book's introduction that they had sought to avoid the politics of Benghazi in favor of a fact-based account of what happened during the 13 hours of fighting there. And while the film tracks the book's narrative closely, Bay's depiction of the sense of abandonment felt by those men, as they wait for help that never arrives, heightens the outrage." . . .

What to make of Obama's tears?

TearsOnConst

Obama's fake tears?  "Were President Obama's tears over gunshot victims genuine? Nearly political commentators, and even Donald Trump credited him with genuine emotion. Doug Ross and Biff Spackle, however, noted how unusual it was for Obama to mourn with tears, given the many opportunities:

A commander-in-chief's crying has consequences

Obama Crying
legalinsurrection.

Did Obama Weep Over Nork Nukes?

Former US attorney Joe DiGenova predicted Obama's tears . . . "It should be noted that DiGenova has a pretty decent track record when it comes to prognosticating. He accurately predicted that President Barack Obama would shed tears during his press conference Tuesday announcing his executive actions on guns. "We're going to get a tearful presentation from the president some time in the next 24 hours," he said on WMAL Monday."

Why Obama’s Tears Matter   . . . "One of the most difficult aspects of any presidency is meeting with families who’ve suffered traumatic loss. Countless times, presidents meet the families of those who died in combat, in natural disasters, and in mass shootings, and those meetings can be intensely emotional. If, in his heart of hearts, Obama blames guns for these horrific losses, it’s easy to see why the announcement of new gun-control measures would make him cry." . . .

Hillary's Watergate Looms (well, maybe)

Roger L. Simon

. . . "I know DiGenova slightly and he is an extremely smart guy, but he's also a dyed-in-the-wool Republican who would like nothing more than to see Hillary fall.  On the other hand, he's a longtime Beltway player with a lot of friends at the top levels of law enforcement.  I wouldn't for a minute dismiss what he is saying, nor, I'm sure are people at the upper echelons of the Democratic Party.  It's not for no reason the Daily Mail is suddenly reporting "Candid Joe Biden says he 'regrets' his decision not to run for president 'every day' as he admits to having second thoughts." Maybe he knows something."

Former U.S. Attorney: Hillary Clinton Could Face Criminal Indictment in Next 60 Days  . . . "DiGenova, who rose to national prominence during the Clinton scandals of the '90s, told Ingraham that if Attorney General Loretta Lynch refuses to indict Clinton, there will be a "massive revolt inside the FBI, which she will not be able to survive as an Attorney General.' WHEN BLACK LIVES MATTERED

Power Line  "Don’t miss Jason Riley’s review of Black Silent Majority: The Rockefeller Drug Laws and the Politics of Punishment, by Michael Javen Fortner. Riley’s review bears the perfect title of “When Black Lives Mattered.” During the period chronicled in Fortner’s book, black lives mattered enough to try to protect them by vigorously fighting drug-related crime.

"Fortner, an African-American who teaches at City University of New York, was raised in Brooklyn during the height of the crack epidemic. He can thus describe “the hurt and terror of those who clutch their billfolds as they sleep, of those who exit their apartments and leave their buildings with trepidation, and of those who have had to bury a son or daughter because of gang activity, the drug trade, or random violence.”
"These people are the “black silent majority” referred to in the title of Fortner’s book.
"The Rockefeller drug laws referred to therein are tough anti-drug measures adopted at the urging of the black silent majority. Fortner’s research persuaded him that this cohort, not unreasonably, “was much more alarmed about drug addiction and violent crime than its white analogue” and ultimately motivated to take action." . . .

The Rockefeller Drug Laws and the Politics of Punishment

Riley's review   "Hence the tendency of leftists to obsess over the racial imbalance of the prison population while rarely discussing the racial imbalance among perpetrators of crime—as if the two are wholly unrelated."

CHRIS MATTHEWS' HILLARY AMNESIA

"There's a risk -- the risk is that (Hillary) gets out there even further in saying nothing happened, and then (President Clinton) has to announce on national television in two weeks ... 'I've been lying to her,' or, 'She's been cooperating with me in a conspiracy.' Which is worse?" -- Chris Matthews, "Hardball," Aug. 19, 1998
Political Cartoons by Nate Beeler

Ann Coulter  "MSNBC's Chris Matthews has been scoffing at Donald Trump's description of Hillary Clinton as an "enabler" of her husband's serial abuse of women. Trump said:

" '(Hillary's) got a problem. She's married to a person that's a serious abuser -- and I mean, at the highest level. She's not an innocent victim. She was the one that would go along with him in this whole game that they play. She's not the innocent person sitting by his side, with tears in her eyes ..."

"In disbelief, Matthews responded: "I have never heard anybody go after Hillary Clinton and say she's an enabler."

"This is the equivalent of Keith Olbermann's indignant claim -- after it was pointed out that he didn't go to the Ivy League Cornell, but to the non-Ivy agriculture school at Cornell -- that "I have never before heard one graduate of one of the university's colleges belittling all its other colleges." (Cornell students are obsessed with the different schools on campus. Insiders' guides warn applicants about the snobbery of the Ivy League Cornellians toward the state college students.)

"Matthews continued, "(Hillary) was shocked by Monica, and I believe that story that she had no idea something like that was going on in the White House. She was hurt by it. People could see the hurt in her face, what it had done to her."

"The way I remember it, some people did question Hillary's innocence about her husband's repeated, multiple sex scandals. So I ran a search -- and look what turned up! " . . .Keep reading

EXCLUSIVE – Juanita Broaddrick: Hillary ‘Disgusting’ for Silencing Bill’s ‘Rape’

Breitbart

"A defiant Juanita Broaddrick told Breitbart on Wednesday that she is revisiting her rape allegations against Bill Clinton in hopes of educating a generation of young Americans on the former president’s sordid history with women.

"She also slammed Hillary as “disgusting” for allegedly attempting to silence Broaddrick years ago while the Democratic frontrunner insisted in a recent campaign ad that women have a right to be believed if they accuse men of sexual assault." . . .

The Clintons’ Baggage is Finally Catching up to Them  "Hillary Clinton has a big problem. As a candidate, she wants to be seen as an advocate for women but her husband’s past and her defense of it conflicts with that message. She simply can’t have it both ways."

North Korea H-Bomb Shows Need For U.S. Nuclear Deterrent

Michael Ramirez Cartoon
IBD  "Nuclear War: By President Obama's Iran logic, the U.S. should stop worrying and learn to love North Korea's H-bomb. In the real world, what worked for four decades was mutual assured destruction.

"It is typical of the Obama administration that it reacts to one of the spokes on the Axis of Evil raising the nuclear ante by suggesting that it didn't really happen, so you can stop worrying, folks.

"The unpredictable and terrifying North Korea announces testing a hydrogen bomb, and White House spokesman Josh Earnest contends, "The initial analysis is not consistent with the North Korean claims.' "

American Silliness, 1/7/2016: The 7 smallest microaggressions of 2015

Campus Reform

"The past year proved to be one in which everyone was offended by everything. From mistletoeto Columbus Day to cafeteria food, it seemed nothing was off limits to the hyper-PC movement.
"As a way to unwind and gear up for the craziness 2016 is sure to bring, Campus Reform has selected the seven smallest, most absurd things people were offended by in 2015.
"You’re going to need a microscope to see these "aggressions.' " . . .

To Be, or Not to Be Offended  . . . "America has grown half a population with no backbone, no resilience, no interest in truth and the discomfort that often accompanies its discovery. Americans -- can you believe it? -- are all fussy about “microaggression” and not at all aware of the macroaggression that will be ours to deal with if we can’t face the truth about morality, about our enemies, and about God.

"God’s not real receptive to whiners."

Mass sexual assaults on New Year’s Eve in Cologne add fuel to migration hostility (Updated)

Legal Insurrection

“'Arab or North African” appearance of organized groups stokes politics of migration and immigration."

"This story is the sum of the worst fears about the migrant crisis, and is sure to reverberate widely as more European countries seek to impose border controls.
"Germany’s Deutsche Welle reports, String of New Year’s Eve sexual assaults outrages Cologne:
Police in the western German city of Cologne responded on Monday to outrage over a string of sexual crimes over New Year’s Eve. According to police, the series of assaults in one of the city’s busiest thoroughfares represented a “completely new dimension of crime.”
Some 90 criminal complaints, including one allegation of rape, have been brought to the Cologne police department after women said they were molested by a crowd of men who had gathered in the city’s famous square between its central train station and towering Gothic cathedral. Authorities expect more victims to come forward in the next few days.
City police chief Wolfgang Albers said the crowd was composed of up to 1,000 heavily intoxicated men who gave the appearance of being “Arab or North African” in background.
. . .
"When I first heard of this incident, I immediately thought of the repeated organized assaults on women in Tahrir Square during the Egyptian Arab Spring protests in 2011, including of Lara Logan."

UPDATE: Mayor of Cologne blames women for being raped   . . . "Guidelines for preparation. What’s it going to be called? “How to prepare for rape jihad”?

"Stupid Europeans have invited the enemy into their midst and now find themselves needing guidelines for how to survive among barbarians." . . .

Audio: Bill Clinton Privately Mocked Paula Jones as an Attention-Seeking ‘Floozy’

Alana Goodman
Paula Jones, Bill Clinton

"Bill Clinton dismissed Paula Jones in the 1990s as a “floozy” and a “nobody” who was only suing him for sexual harassment in order to have her “moment in the sun,” according to an audio diary recorded at the time by one of his closest confidantes.
"Clinton’s friend and biographer, Taylor Branch, took notes on a late-night conversation he had with the president on Oct. 2, 1997, and immediately recorded them into an audio diary. The recordings were recently obtained by the Washington Free Beacon.
"According to Branch’s diary, Clinton discussed the pending sexual harassment lawsuit brought against him by former Arkansas government employee Paula Jones, who claimed he unzipped his pants and asked her to perform a sex act on him in a Little Rock hotel room in 1991.
“[Clinton] said they had now changed Paula Jones’s hair style, made her look less like a floozy, and that she didn’t seem to have any visible income but was always driving a new car,” said Branch, a historian who drew from many of his diary entries to write his 2010 Clinton biography The Clinton Tapes." . . .
