‘South Park’ To Take On Colin Kaepernick In Season Opener Tonight

The Federalist   "The gods of mockery have heard our prayers. “South Park” is back! This latest clip kicking off the show’s 20th season captures the absurdity of Colin Kaepernick and Black Lives Matter as only “South Park” can. It’s just what we need to cleanse our palettes of political correctness." . . .

. . . "As the PC culture has been slowly killing comedy, “South Park” is a ray of hope. In a free society, nothing should be so sacred that you can’t laugh about it or mock it in some way—and I really do mean nothing. If you can’t laugh at something, then you’re afraid of it and it has power over you. If you’ve stifled comedy, then you’ve lost one of the greatest weapons of freedom."

Perfectly Timed Moments When It All Went Wrong

IBEW hopes to resist this move to close Diablo Canyon nuclear power plant

Clean and Green, Nuclear Gets a Makeover  "When most people think of clean energy they probably think of wind and solar. What doesn't come to mind is the source that supplies the United States with 63 percent of its clean energy. What they aren't thinking about is nuclear.

image"But nuclear energy, which also provides U.S. consumers and businesses with 20 percent of their electricity, is in need of a lift. In an effort to provide one, the Nuclear Energy Institute, an industry group, has embarked upon a twoyear initiative, Delivering the Nuclear Promise. The plan aims to promote nuclear as a valued and necessary clean energy source, as well as reduce costs and increase safety and efficiency. And the IBEW is joining the effort.

" 'We used to have a 25page procedure for changing a doorknob at nuclear plants. There is certainly room to make improvements in efficiency, and we support actions to keep plants open and make them more profitable," said Utility Director Jim Hunter. "We just want to make sure it happens with input from our members and not at their expense."
"Rolled out in December, the initiative calls for a 30 percent reduction in costs, which will be determined by working groups where IBEW and other unions will have a presence.

" 'Nobody wins when a plant closes," said NEI Senior Vice President and Chief Nuclear Officer Tony Pietrangelo. "We want everyone pulling in the same direction."

"Nuclear generation is facing its most challenging moment since the rise of the industry nearly 50 years ago. Aging plants, Environmental Protection Agency rules, market forces and deregulation are converging to put nuclear plants out of business — just at the moment the electrical grid needs them the most." . . .

Hillary's health and her media flacks

Can Hillary 'Power Through' Her Health Crisis?    Video

CBS 'edits' Bill Clinton comment about Hillary's health   . . . "The edit by CBS News was extremely helpful - to Hillary. There is no doubt that Bill Clinton immediately realized the import of using the word "frequently" when describing Hillary's fainting spells and sought to edit himself later in the sentence. But it raises a question.
"Did the ex-president contact CBS and request the word be deleted?"
"The idea that it was cut for time constraints is laughable. This has all the earmarks of a Clinton whitewash. And CBS News was a willing partner."
. . . "Less than half of voters, at 44 percent, said Clinton's health would negatively affect her ability to be president; three in 10 people don't think she'd survive her first term while two in 10 people think Trump wouldn't. If one of them were to die, voters would rather have Mike Pence as president; 43 percent said he's prepared to serve, versus 38 percent who think Clinton's running mate, Tim Kaine, is ready to step up to the plate."

Sarah Silverman: Anyone Who Brings Up Hillary’s Health Is a ‘F---ing A---hole’   "Earlier this week, TMZ asked comedian Sarah Silverman about Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton’s health, she went on a tirade."
Who can lose when Hollywood is on your side? Or Google?

Image result for google cartoonsHOW GOOGLE IS STEERING USERS AWAY FROM CLINTON HEALTH WOES  . . . "But despite all the evidence, media and electoral interest, the tech giant Google hasn’t gotten the memo. It has engaged in a deliberate mendacious campaign of deception by steering its users away from searches that highlight her multiple health issues and deteriorating condition." . . .

Jonah Goldberg: Hillary Humiliated Her Flacks with Her Health Deception . . . "My favorite take came from left-wing writer Leela Daou via Twitter: “What we REALLY should be talking about is why it’s so damn hot on a September morning” followed by the hash tags #GlobalWarming and #climatechange. Not only is Clinton going to fight climate change, she’s like a polar bear searching for an ice floe: proof that it’s real!"

Then comes the Clintonite "adjustment":
“ 'Doing events with pneumonia shows how strong Hillary is. Her detractors have now lost another one of their hit jobs. They should be ashamed.' ”
"Uh-huh."

You Can Lead Reporters To Water, But Can You Make Them Believe Clinton's Ridiculous Dehydration Story?  . . . "This dehydration story is being reported as if it's some sort of down low campaign secret, when it's clearly the narrative the campaign wants to push. Further, Clinton claimed in 2008 that "I drink tons of water. Just as much water as I can possibly drink."From the Clinton campaign's perspective it sounds a lot better to say someone just needed a cool glass of water to recover, rather than the awkward truth that her dehydration is one of many symptoms of a serious medical condition that hospitalizes a million Americans every year, kills 50,000, and is considerably more serious if you happen to contract it as a 68-year-old woman." . . .

Never forget: 15 years of Allahu Akbar-itis

Michelle Malkin

"This is what madness looks like.
“When the confrontation begins, strike like champions who do not want to go back to this world. Shout, ‘Allahu Akbar,’ because this strikes fear in the hearts of the non-believers.”
"That’s what 9/11 lead hijacker Mohammed Atta wrote in the jihad checklist found in his baggage 15 years ago after the terror attacks took 2,996 innocent lives.
"Seconds before United Airlines Flight 93 crashed in Shanksville, Pennsylvania on that day, the last sound passengers heard was the hijackers chanting “Allahu Akbar.” The official transcript of the flight recorder translated the Arabic taunts:
"0:03:02 Allah is the greatest.  10:03:03 Allah is the greatest. 10:03:04 Allah is the greatest. 10:03:06 Allah is the greatest. 10:03:06 Allah is the greatest 10:03:07 No. 10:03:09; Allah is the greatest. Allah is the greatest
10:03:09 Allah is the greatest. Allah is the greatest.

"Over the past 15 years, Koran-inspired Islamic jihadists have shouted the crystal-clear refrain over and over and over again—as genuflecting jihad apologists shout even louder that their murderous deeds “have nothing to do with Islam.”
"2004: Muslim terrorists shouted “Allahu Akbar” as they sawed off American hostage Nick Berg’s head in Iraq.

"2006: A British man was killed today when a lone gunman shouting “Allahu Akbar!” (“God is Great”) started firing at a group of Western tourists in the Jordanian capital Amman.
"2007: Muslim immigrant Fort Dix attack plotters shouted “Allahu Akbar” as they practiced shooting weapons.
"2009: Fort Hood gunman Nidal Malik Hasan shouted “Allahu Akbar” before murdering 13 servicemen and servicewomen, including a pregnant victim whose unborn baby also died, along with wounding 30 others. . . .
"Never forget the enablers and apologists who want us never to remember that the root cause of 9/11 and the endless string of Allahu Akbar-itis outbreaks that have ensued over the past 15 years is not poverty, lack of education, lack of diversity, Gitmo, YouTube videos, Israel, or America. It’s in the Koran.

Congressman: Iran’s Treatment of U.S. Sailors Much Worse Than Reported

"There is just no end to the weak, craven, and dishonest behavior of this God-forsaken administration."

Nice Deb  "The nation would be shocked by the details surrounding Iran’s treatment of U.S. sailors when they were captured by Iran back in January, a member of the House Armed Services Committee said Monday after receiving a full classified briefing about the abduction.

"Rep. Randy Forbes (R., Va.) told the Washington Free Beacon that the classified details are currently being withheld by the Obama administration and it could be awhile before the American public gets a full accounting of the incident.
“I’ve had a full classified briefing” from military officials, Forbes told the Free Beacon. “It could be as long as a year before we actually get that released.”
Details of the abduction are likely to start an uproar in the nation and call into question the Obama administration’s handling of the incident, which many experts say violated international and maritime law.
“I think that when the details actually come out, most Americans are going to be kind of taken aback by the entire incident, both how Iran handled it and how we handled it,” Forbes disclosed. “I think that’s going to be huge cause for concern for most Americans. That’s why I’ve encouraged members of Congress to get that briefing so they do know exactly what did take place.”

MODERN SCHINDLERS: THE HEROES WORKING TO RESCUE ISIS VICTIMS

Image result for yazidi women hostages pictures

Phyllis Chesler  " 'I've been raped 30 times and it's not even lunchtime," cried one young Yazidi woman in a dangerous and desperate call.
"Chillingly, she begged the man on the line, someone embedded with the Kurdish Peshmerga fighting ISIS: "If you know where we are, please bomb us. There is no life after this. I am going to kill myself anyway."
"That request was made a year ago. So far, no brothel has been bombed, no slave auction interrupted.
"President Obama's much favored "international community" — the United Nations, the European Union, the politically correct Western intelligentsia, the NGOs, the human-rights organizations — hasn't rescued this woman or any of the other mainly Christian and Yazidi sex slaves who remain in the clutches of the barbarians.
"But some individual heroes are doing so.
"With Oscar Schindler, Sir Nicholas Winton and Chiune Sugihara — who saved thousands of Jews during the Holocaust — as role models, Canadian Jewish businessman Steve Maman has, so far, overseen the rescue of more than 120 kidnapped Christian and Yazidi girls in Iraq.
"Maman founded the Liberation of Christian and Yazidi Children of Iraq organization a year ago, after jihadists laid siege to Mosul and Sinjar." . . .

Is Deference Really Safer than Deterrence?

"Beware international affairs the next five months, a dangerous period for America."
Image result for apologetic obama photos
Victor Davis Hanson  "Deterrence is a nation’s ability to discourage aggressors by instilling in them a credible fear of punishment far greater than any perceived gain that could be achieved by an attack.

"Deterrence is quite different from deference, which is a courteous accommodation to the will of another, often one deemed superior.

"Deterrence is ultimately enhanced by the possession of overwhelming military force, but it is unfortunately not thereby ensured.

"France, the Low Countries, and the British expeditionary force had a combined larger army, more tanks and comparable air forces, when Germany nevertheless attacked in surprise fashion and destroyed them in six weeks in May and June 1940. What the Allies lacked were not the guns and soldiers but the credibility that they would use them with dispatch, skill, and determination. " . . .

In contrast, the Neanderthals of the world assume that U.S. force is now becoming irrelevant and that the president is entirely predictable: occasionally eager to compromise and lecture, usually full of braggadocio, and always without credible follow-up. To be blunt and cruel, they find Obama the proverbial freshman loudmouth whom bullying seniors for sport enjoy separating from his lunch money.

Who Would Replace Hillary on Dem Ticket? (Reader Poll)

Obviously unscientific, I'm sure.

Legal Insurrection

"We’ve been watching this story grow legs — the speculation that a Democratic Party cabal met behind closed doors to discuss replacing Hillary on the presidential ticket after her unfortunately public health episode Sunday.

"I imagine this was nothing more than a whisper campaign that morphed into an actual story. And you know, it couldn’t have happened to a nicer gal.

"But now that replacing Hillary is actually being discussed seriously, we’re only doing what’s proper — voting on who we think would (not should) replace Hillary, if it were to come to that.

"You can only vote for one (don’t worry, they’re all awful in their own special ways). Poll closes at midnight Wednesday." . . .

When life gives Hillary lemons, her people make lemonade for her

"Powering through"! You can transform the awful images and stories into exactly what Hillary needs to win: A convincing presentation of herself as a feminist heroine.
"In Bustle, by Elizabeth Strassner: "If Hillary Clinton's Working While Sick Is A Scandal, All Women Are Guilty.' "
"Karol Markowicz in the New York Post: "Hillary apologists’ response to collapse is demeaning to women.' "
"Was it stoicism or an unstoppable hunger for power that drove Hillary to get ill enough to collapse at an event and have to be carried away? It’s not just women we’d criticize for taking risks with their own health, and the health of those around them. But Hillary always has her fallback excuse: Stop being mean to me, I’m a woman."

The NFL protests, week one

Seattle Seahawks Won’t Take A Knee Or Sit During National Anthem
" 'We are a team comprised of individuals with diverse backgrounds," Baldwin said during the video. "And as a team, we have chosen to stand and interlock arms in unity. We honor those who have fought for the freedom we cherish. And we stand to ensure the riches of freedom and the security of justice for all people. Progress can and will be made only if we stand together."
"Baldwin was asked Friday how proud he is of what the Seahawks have planned.

" 'I'm extremely proud," he said. "I'm excited. Extremely proud. Like I said, it makes me want to cry almost, just how our team has handled this and the discussions we've had and how we've come together. It's been absolutely amazing."
Obama should not support Kaepernick's protest     . . . "Yet, incredulously, the Commander-in-Chief spoke not one word of indignation on behalf of the service members he has sent to war. Instead, President Obama minimized the outrage of veterans by saying, “When it comes to the flag and the National Anthem and the meaning that holds for our men and women in uniform and those who fought for us — that is a tough thing for them to get past...”  (Emphasis mine, TD)
"A tough thing to get past? As veterans of the U.S. military, we are deeply troubled by these recent protests. But we should not be alone in this outrage. If we are to be the nation captured by Key – the “land of the free and the home of the brave” – if we are to continue in our national quest to provide all with the unalienable rights of life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness, we cannot expect our military to be the only ones who honor and respect the symbols and principles of our country.

"No Commander-in-Chief of an all-volunteer force, predicated on the principles of civilian control and public service, should divide society – as President Obama has – between those who serve and honor our nation, and some who merely take riches from its vast opportunities." . . .

Colin Kaepernick continues anthem protest; other 49ers, Rams join (Video)
"For the second game in a row, Kaepernick and safety Eric Reid knelt during the song while teammates Antoine Bethea and Eli Harold stood and held up their right fists.
" 'I think it's become so blatantly obvious that athletes and people in general have to react," Kaepernick said. "It's not something that, with social media, there's so many instances where it's instantly to you and you see these things every day, day after day and that's hard." . . .
