LITERALLY SHAKING

"Unfortunately, the rest of America wasn't large enough for Democrats to win elections. So they had to import Third World immigrants to vote for them. "
Political Cartoons by Glenn McCoy

Ann Coulter  "Until the nationwide protests of the last few days, I had no idea how bad the problem was, but our nation is drowning in drama queenery.

"The immediate reaction of most celebrities to Trump's victory was: "THE WORLD IS WAITING FOR MY TAKE ON THE ELECTION!”

"Aaron Sorkin and David Remnick, in matching pink housecoats and fuzzy slippers, wrote hysterical jeremiads about the cataclysm of Trump's election.

"Sorkin was especially irked that Trump was supported by white men who don't appreciate rap music. As proof that the end was near, he triumphantly reported: "The Dow futures dropped 700 points overnight."

"After a brief drop, the Dow surged to historic highs, recording its biggest weekly gain in five years.
. . .
"But I can't wait to read the letters these guys wrote to their children about Bill Clinton! Don't leave us hanging guys -- post those, too, please.
. . .
This is why the snowflakes are smashing windows, beating up Trump supporters and calling for the assassination of Trump and the rape of his wife. If you've ever wondered how France's Reign of Terror happened, observe the anti-Trump protests — the main result of which is to convince people who had misgivings about voting for Trump that they did the right thing.

"Trump is denounced for his alleged "racism, homophobia, sexism, anti-Semitism, Islamaphobia!”

"No one stops to think: Wait a minute! These are all groups Trump has showered with affection, with the exception of Muslim immigrants -- who persecute the other four. " . . .

Oregon Official who Bullied Christian Bakery Loses Election

Todd Starnes

"An Oregon bureaucrat who waged political jihad against the owners of a Christian bakery was given the heave-ho by voters.
"Labor Commissioner Brad Avakian was defeated in his bid to be Secretary of State by Republican Dennis Richardson.
"It’s the first time a Republican has been elected to a statewide office in Oregon since 2002.
"So consider this – Avakian was too liberal for what is arguably one of the most liberal states in the country.
"Avakian, a passionate advocate for the LGBTQIA crowd, was thrust into the national spotlight when he declared war on a Christian bakery in 2013.
"Aaron and Melissa Klein, the owners of Sweet Cakes By Melissa, declined to make a wedding cake for a lesbian couple’s ceremony.
"The Kleins, who are devout Christians, explained that participating in a same-sex wedding would violate their deeply-held religious beliefs.
"Avakian launched a very public and very ugly assault on the Klein family – alleging they had discriminated about the lesbian couple.
"They faced boycotts and picket lines and other wedding vendors were threatened with similar action if they did business with Sweet Cakes.
"The family’s young children received death threats and the store’ssocial networking platforms were overrun by militant LGBT activists posting obscene and profane messages.
"The Kleins were eventually ordered to pay $135,000 in “emotional damages” to the lesbians.
"They were also forced to shutter their retail location – and eventually shut down their family bakery.
“ 'The goal is never to shut down a business. The goal is to rehabilitate,” Avakian told The Oregonian in 2013.
"Avakian was just as ruthless in his attacks on a Portland bar that turned away transgender patrons.  The owner of the Twilight Room Annex did not want his establishment to be known as a “gay bar.”
"The bar was slapped with a $400,000 judgment and was forced to shut down.
"The Kleins are represented by First Liberty Institute, one of the nation’s most prominent religious liberty law firms. They are appealing the fines levied by Avakian’s office." . . .

With Trump’s Signature, Dozens of Obama’s Rules Could Fall

NY Times  "Dozens of major regulations passed recently by the Obama administration — including far-reaching changes on health care, consumer protections and environmental safety — could be undone with the stroke of a pen by Donald J. Trump and the Republican-controlled Congress starting in January, thanks to a little-used law that dates back to 1996.

"And it comes with a scorched-earth kicker: If the law is used to strike down a rule, the federal agency that issued it is barred from enacting similar regulation again in the future.

"The obscure law — called the Congressional Review Act — was passed 20 years ago at the behest of Newt Gingrich, then the House speaker and now a member of Mr. Trump’s transition team. It gives Congress 60 legislative days to review and override major regulations enacted by federal agencies. In the Senate, the vote would not be subject to filibuster.

The president can veto the rejection, which usually renders the law toothless. But when one party controls both the White House and Congress, it can be a powerful legislative weapon." . . .

Lena Dunham, please don't go!

Canada agrees for obviously selfish reasons:
Canadians' Message To Lena Dunham: Stay Out   . . . "But some Canadians are sending a loud and clear message to those would-be immigrants: Stay where you are. . . . As Heat Street points out, though, one famous American is bearing the brunt of backlash from Canadians: Lena Dunham." . . .

The main article here:
Lena Dunham, please don't go!  . . . " Lena and Hillary both believe that whatever the cares or concerns of the American people, their struggles and needs will always take a back seat to sodomitical rights.  The kid sister Dunham molested grew up to be homosexual.  No surprise there.  Dunham's writing emphasizes "gay" rights, which fit Hillary Clinton's self-destructive fixation on that issue.  Poor Robbie Mook was far out of his depth, but he was the right sexuality for Hillary's front man.

"Lena Dunham psychologically decompensated to Trump's election thusly: "I ached in the places that make me a woman, the places where I've been grabbed so carelessly."  Carelessly grabbed?  Really?  Dunham has bragged that her job on TV was to have her private parts slammed by a cast member.  The Godless carnality that is the foundation of postmodern liberalism is displayed in the first phrase of Lena's lamentation: "the places that make me a woman."  Body parts, not love, make Lena Dunham a woman.  Not only are those places she compulsively exhibits all she knows about being a woman, but carnality is all the left knows about being human.
"Many celebrities said they would leave the country if Trump were elected.  And life in America would be more pleasant without the lingual athletics of Miley Cyrus or the foulness of Amy Schumer.  But Lena, don't go!" . . .   Hat tip to Margaret Hawks, Missouri.

Not to worry: Lena Dunham won’t move to Canada despite Trump win, blasts those calling on her to keep word
. . . “ 'And for those demanding I move to Canada based on something I said when this man seemed like a steak salesman with a long shot at the presidency: stay busy reveling in your new regime,” she said in a Friday post."   Hey, don't blame me; I'm just the messenger.

That Time Hillary Clinton Crossed Paths With One of Her Campaign Workers While Strolling in the Woods

Jammie Wearing Fools

"You just can’t get a good staged photo op any more these days.
A Westchester mom got the best therapy possible for her deep depression over Hillary Clinton’s stunning defeat — when she ran right into her hero while out for a hike in the woods.
Clinton looked happy as a clam in a comfy pair of leggings and boots — sans makeup — as she walked her toy poodle mix, Tally, with her hubby, Bill, near their Chappaqua home.
Margot Gerster, who had her young daughter in a carrier on her back, described the chance encounter in an emotional Facebook post that was shared nearly 50,000 times by early Thursday evening.
“I’ve been feeling so heartbroken since yesterday’s election and decided what better way to relax than take my girls hiking. So I decided to take them to one of favorite places in Chappaqua. We were the only ones there and it was so beautiful and relaxing,” Gerster wrote.
“As we were leaving, I heard a bit of rustling coming towards me and as I stepped into the clearing there she was, Hillary Clinton and Bill with their dogs doing exactly the same thing as I was. I got to hug her and talk to her and tell her that one of my most proudest moments as a mother was taking Phoebe with me to vote for her,” the post continued.
"We figured the Clintons were out there disposing of Anthony Weiner’s body. Anyway, how’s this for coincidence?"
Another media failure:

Carpe Diem, Mr. Trump

Victor Davis Hanson

"Forgive, but do not forget, and be the strong horse. While we speak, a jealous age will have fled.  Seize the day! Trust as little as you can in tomorrow."            The Latin poet Horace
. . . "The nexus of attack will not be a dramatic scandalous revelation — it will be intended to induce bleeding from a thousand tiny nicks and cuts, all designed to reduce his moral authority and thus his ability to ratchet back the progressive decade.

"Another trope, as we are now witnessing, will be of the hysterical policy brand: Trump will cook the planet, put y’all back in chains, conduct war on women, traumatize students, destroy dreamers — all the boilerplate extremism designed to put Trump on the defensive so that he will settle for half an agenda and “reach out” to cement his respectability as a “listener” before the court of D.C. fixtures, the campuses, the foundations, the think tanks, the media, the social circles of Silicon Valley and Wall Street." . . .
But for now, all conservative-minded are giddy at the very idea of a conservative court, Congress, presidency, state legislatures and governorships, and federal appointees. They are even offering advice about their preferences for cabinet appointments, without much worry that had Trump’s conservative critics been successful, we would now be witnessing a Democratic Senate, a liberal Supreme Court for the next 30 years, and eight years of Obamism squared.

America deserves a better media, but don’t hold your breath

Or what about journalists’ steadfast refusal to see Hillary Clinton as the God-awful candidate she was?  One of Trump’s recurring statements – that Hillary is the most corrupt person ever to run for president – was never addressed by the media, let alone refuted.  They couldn’t refute it, but why did its truth not matter to them?

Richard Davis  . . . "Hillary’s defeat is unfathomable to the media, and they are virtually inconsolable.  They went to bat for her – lied, concealed and distorted the truth just as she had done  disgracing themselves and their profession gladly for the cause.  Why wouldn’t the deplorables listen to them?
“ 'This is the victory of the uneducated and uninformed,” proclaimed leftist journalism professor Jeff Jarvis, whose elitism tells more about the sorry state of American journalism than he’s capable of realizing.  “I fear that journalism is irredeemably broken, a failure.  My profession failed to inform the public about the fascist they are electing.”  Yeah, this idiot teaches young people.
"Brian Stelter on CNN’s Reliable Sources (they really call it that) agreed with the failure nonsense.  “This was a collective failure – a failure of imagination.  In some ways, a mass delusion.  And the media contributed to it.”
"Who’s really deluded?  What except bias, arrogance, and incompetence can explain the near universal failure of the media to understand the obvious undercurrents affecting this election?" . . .

Blocks Of Anti-Trump Protest Buses Caught On Tape

Snopes refutes this story.
Baseless rumors that George Soros, or some high-ranking member of the Democratic party, paid protesters to attend Trump events were circulated throughout the 2016 presidential campaign. As in this case, these rumors typically stem from morsels of truth but offer no actual evidence to support their underlying conspiracy theories.
Yet we have to ask about the ads for protesters in Craig's List and elsewhere.

In the face of all this, will Obama and his party condemn these actions?

Zero Hedge  "Earlier today we showed that, contrary to USA Today's claims that the anti-Trump protests across the nation are "spontaneous, involving people from all walks of life", according to Wikileaks documents at least two of the people profiled by USA Today have a history of being professional agitators for the Democratic party, whose task is to stir up popular protests and - in extreme cases - unleash rioting, such as the following clip showing the latest day of violent protests in Portland revealed.
"Now, courtesy of a Zero Hedge reader, we have visual confirmation of how a substantial portion of these professional, paid protesters arrive at the site of the protest, in this case Chicago.
"As our reader notes, "I have a video of 5 city blocks on the West side of Chicago lined with busses from Wisconsin (Badger Bus Lines) bringing in protestors. The Sears tower is visible in the background."
"The video was taken at 3:30pm on South Canal Street in Chicago on Saturday. As our reader points out, hundreds of the participants that took part in the downtown Chicago protests from November 12 were bused in using these vehicles. Other arrived by train." . . .

Report card on the Obama years and the arrogance of it all

Have you noticed when a Democrat and a Conservative are introduced by a news host via a split screen, the liberal usually has a smirk?

Why Did Trump Win? Obama  "Donald Trump's upset victory is being attributed to many factors, from Hillary Clinton being a corrupt and flawed candidate to the rise of the angry white male.  Never mind that Trump secured more white women support than did Clinton.  Maybe it was due to the FBI investigations and Director Comey's schizophrenic opening and closing the investigations.  Maybe it was Anthony Weiner entering the race with State Department emails on his laptop.  Or the endless WikiLeaks revelations.
"What really gave Trump his victory is one person: Barack Obama.  This election was nothing less than a complete and total repudiation of his presidency, his policies, his "fundamental transformation of America" that he promised and delivered." . . .
Remember this? President Obama to Republicans: I won. Deal with it.

Next: Arrogance and condescension made manifest:

An Arrogant and Lazy Presidency  "It's safe to say that there has rarely, if ever, been a president more absolutely sure of the utter and total correctness of his positions than Barack Obama.  While outward humility and the intentional display of human hesitation have long been staple behavioral facets of virtually every first-rate high-level communicator as he tries to connect with (and win the support of) his constituency when making difficult decisions, words such as "I've really struggled with this" or "I've thought long and hard about this one" seldom seem to emanate from President Obama's lips.  Instead, complete self-assuredness bordering on smug, condescending arrogance has been the hallmark of his demeanor." . . .  As shown in the clip above.

But O will continue to be a thorn in the side of Republicans
I have little doubt that Ex-President Obama will be able to command the nation’s airwaves in retirement.  He will be angry, and when he gets angry, sometimes he loses his cool just a little bit and gets downright mean and snarky.  He loves put-downs.
But he will be facing President Trump, who has not shown himself shy about responding to critics, especially those who get under his skin.

It’s time for Democrats to step up and call for an end to these protests

Hot Air  "It turns out the notion that “Love Trumps Hate” had a whole lot more violence involved in it than we were led to believe.
"President Obama, Secretary Clinton, Senator Sanders, Senator Reid and Senator Warren need to engage the anti-Trump protesters vandalizing the streets of Democratic Party-controlled cities and tell them to stop. Now.

"We’ve been told over the past election cycle that Hillary Clinton was virtually a born leader who was more prepared to lead this nation than any other American in history. Where is she?

"We’ve been told that President Obama is a transcendent figure who speaks for generational and demographic groups that have felt voiceless for our country’s entire existence. Why is he invisible?

"We’ve been told that Sanders and Warren and Reid represent the down-trodden and exploited masses who feel crushed by the results of this election and are searching for some level of positive hope in the despair of post-#ImWithHer depression. Where are they?" . . .

Kellyanne Tells Obama How to Get a Handle on Protests
. . . "One speech is not enough, Trump campaign manager Kellyanne Conway insisted on Sunday's "Meet the Press." Both Obama and Clinton need to take action to tamp down on the growing protests across the country before they do anymore damage." . . .

Stop the H8: 5 Recent Examples of Anti-Trump Violence  . . . "At the same time, the lib-media is largely ignoring the actual beatdowns Trump supporters are suffering at the hands of their "peaceful" fellow travelers. Sure, local news outlets dutifully report each individual incident, but the MSM refuses to link them all together because the narrative that would emerge would be entirely unhelpful to the progressive agenda." . . .

Cleaning Up Obama’s Foreign Policy Mess

Image result for obama's foreign policy cartoons

Abe Greenwald  . . . "In our democratic republic, we choose presidents who reflect the national mood, and they in turn lead a nation that becomes a reflection of them. In 2008, Americans were tired of the war in Iraq and elected Barack Obama on his promise to end that war—but he had a far larger retreat in mind. Pursuing a staunchly progressive worldview, Obama would oversee the withdrawal of American power around the globe. Yet as his vision of a better world lost out to the reality of a much more treacherous one, he refused to change course. Responding to the new threats would have distilled for the country a new sense of national purpose—something Obama expressly feared. In exacerbating and then downplaying a rising global wave of theocratic and secular tyranny, the president has left our sense of national purpose in a shambles. And having done so, he will depart the White House with the free world at great risk." . . .

The theory that Hillary Clinton did not win the popular vote.

"So my prediction is that when all of the votes are counted, we're going to find that a significant number of illegal immigrants voted. I wouldn't be surprised if the number is as high as two million illegal immigrants...."Ann Althouse
Why do you think Obama was naturalizing thousands of illegals in a hurry the month before the election?

Althouse  . . . "They're trying to tell us that some states still haven't been called and we're gonna end up winning, they say, the popular vote by a significant number of votes, which they are going to try to say delegitimizes Trump's presidency, and they're going to use that to try to deny every Trump policy initiative on the basis that in terms of the population of the country, he was rejected. So we need to get rid of the Electoral College and all this.

"I don't think that's gonna hold up.... It's gonna be awhile before we actually have the total vote count. And the reason for that is that the Obama forces are still out there trying to massage the results so that they can get this popular vote majority that they want...."
