No Hate Crime Charges Against Anti-Trump Attackers in Chicago

Daily Caller  "Four black individuals have now been charged in the brutal beating of a Chicago man, all while clearly shouting “white boy” and “he voted Trump,” yet none of them will be charged with hate crimes.
"In a shocking video of the attack that went viral in the week after Trump’s election, a group of young black males brutally attack David Wilcox, an older white male, screaming “Why would you vote Trump, damn it?” and “You voted Trump?! Damn, he voted Trump.”
"By Wilcox’s own account, after a small car accident, he stepped out of the car to exchange insurance information but was then approached by a black male who said “yeah that’s one of those white boy Trump supporters.”

“ 'The next thing I know, the guy said, ‘Don’t worry about it, we’re going to beat his ass.’ And then punches were thrown and the next thing I know, I have five people on me and I fell to the ground. I was kicked in the head. They were in my car, stealing all my stuff.” Wilcox said.
"He did actually vote for Trump, but the attackers didn’t know that at the time, just assuming he did because he was white, according to Wilcox.
"Four have now been charged with one felony count of vehicular hijacking, according to the Chicago Tribune.
"However, none of them have been charged with hate crimes, despite the victim maintaining the attack was because he was a “white boy Trump supporter.”
“ 'A hate crime is a traditional offense like murder, arson, or vandalism with an added element of bias. For the purposes of collecting statistics, the FBI has defined a hate crime as a ‘criminal offense against a person or property motivated in whole or in part by an offender’s bias against a race, religion, disability, sexual orientation, ethnicity, gender, or gender identity.’ Hate itself is not a crime—and the FBI is mindful of protecting freedom of speech and other civil liberties.”
"If the attackers really did target Wilcox for being white, then this attack should fall under the umbrella of a “hate crime,” but apparently not."

Have a blessed Thanksgiving

Irony: Ellen DeGeneres Wasn't Allowed Into The White House Because She Forgot I.D.

"Yesterday comedian and talk show host Ellen DeGeneres was in Washington D.C. to receive the Medal of Freedom from President Obama. Before making her way into the White House, DeGeneres was held outside because she forgot to bring identification."
. . .
"Oopsie.
"President Obama and many of his liberal supporters are opposed to identification requirements for voting, but apparently don't have an issue with identification requirements (even for well-known celebrities) at the White House."

The Pathological Intolerance of the Left

Patricia McCarthy   "A New Mexico CEO, Mathew Blanchfield,  appeared on Tucker Carlson's showWednesday night to defend the letter he posted on his website, 1st in SEO in New Mexico, telling his clients who voted for or support Donald Trump to take their business elsewhere.  In his letter, he calls Trump "racist, sexist, fascist."  He asked his clients to respond and confirm "where you stand politically. If you are a Republican or support Trump, we will no longer serve you."  He wrote that he had a moral obligation then, on the Carlson program, decried Trump's "lack of moral turpitude" for allegedly taking the mainstream press to task over its biased reporting throughout the campaign.  Not only does he not know the meaning of the word "fascist," he does not know the meaning of the word "turpitude."  He thinks he is really, really smart but he is not.  And unfortunately for him, Carlson is smart."

. . ."CNN's Carol Costello, when confronted with a millennial conservative who uttered the words "traditional values" said, "I don't know what that means."  Therein lies the problem.  These people who decide what is news and how it will be reported, and assume their power in deciding who will be elected have no values beyond their political ideology, which is to overturn anything and everything that reeks of traditional values.  Blanchfield, Penzey and Amanpour will of course be celebrated by their peers for their "courageous stand" against Trump and his basket of deplorables.  They don't own bakeries, florist shops or pizza parlors that can be shuttered merely be exercising their freedom of religion." . . .

. . . "Kaepernick has been very outspoken this season with his views on American society, even as he has taken over as the 49ers’ starting quarterback and played reasonably well, albeit while his team has plummeted to 1-9. On Wednesday, he fielded another question about reports that his anthem protests, which have been adopted by other players in the NFL — including some Dolphins — as well as athletes in other sports and at other levels of football, are contributing to the NFL’s decline in viewership.
