Tucker Carlson under fire. We must support him!

Tucker Carlson's Fox News show loses Disney and other advertisers over George Floyd killing and Black Lives Matter POV  . . . "Both Disney and T-Mobile have cut ties with the primetime Tucker Carlson Tonight over the host’s polarizing point of view on the Black Lives Matter movement and the desire for justice and equality in America many of its members advocate. Along with Papa Johns and SmileDirectClub, the media giant and the telecommunications brand faced a backlash in recent days for their association with Carlson and his belief that the well-attended protests were “Black Lives Matter riots.' ” . . .

Tucker Carlson Gave the Most Important, Riveting Monologue of His Career and It’s a Must Watch  "Tucker Carlson went live last night after a weekend of violent rioting and looting across many of America’s major cities. He took no prisoners in what was easily the most important monologue of his career. It’s a moment in media history that will still be talked about a decade from now. That’s how powerful it was, whether you agree with every conclusion or not.
"Over the course of 30 minutes, Carlson laid out the case that our leaders have failed to protect us in this time of chaos. He played the clips of men and women being beaten, the videos of buildings burning, and the recordings of mobs stealing. He showed the complete lack of respect for human life and property. He named names of those enabling it and let no one off the hook. He laid out the core issues tearing the country apart and the nonsensical responses to them.
"While I rarely expect people to watch clips I post all the way through, this is one you should really make time for." . . .

‘Hang Up The Kente’: Black Writers, Performers Slam Congressional Democrats For Wearing Traditional Textile

Forbes  "Congressional Democrats on Monday unveiled a sweeping police reform bill created in the aftermath of George Floyd’s killing—but, before doing so, took a knee in memory of Floyd and other black people who died during police interactions while wearing kente cloth, a traditional patterned textile from Ghana—eliciting backlash from black writers and performers." . . .

Lifezette  "Secretary of the Army Ryan McCarthy may not be in office too much longer. Why? Because, contrary to the subsequently expressed wishes of his boss-President Trump, in a Stalinist move designed to appeal to a PC audience, McCarthy expressed interest in changing the name of Army posts (other services have “bases”, the Army has “posts”) from their present names (these specific posts are named after Confederate generals) to other less martial labels.
"But the president is adamant in his stance for history and U.S. military tradition. In tweets on Wednesday afternoon, Trump called the posts “Hallowed Grounds” that helped train troops to win two world wars. His administration “will not even consider the renaming of these Magnificent and Fabled Military Installations…These Monumental and very Powerful Bases have become part of a Great American Heritage, and a history of Winning, Victory, and Freedom. Therefore, my Administration will not even consider the renaming of these Magnificent and Fabled Military Installations. Our history as the Greatest Nation in the World will not be tampered with. Respect our Military!' ” . . .

Remember our military contains thousands of millennial-aged people who feel thus:
At certain ranks the rarified air is filled less with military respect for unit cohesion and more with an eye to the latest press release or rioter demand. As such, they continued, “We feel the frustration and anger. We need to work harder to earn the trust of mothers and fathers who hesitate to hand their sons and daughters into our care.” “Care”? Funny, they called it something else when I was in the Army.

Expext violence from them on President Trump's June 14th birthday  This fascist regime poses a catastrophic danger to the whole world, and the whole world will take heart if we rise to another level of determined resistance. We have begun, but should we fail to see it through, this and every struggle for justice will be set back. If we succeed – and we can succeed – we can begin to force the boots of violent oppressors off the necks of our brothers and sisters. Let us change the course of history, not for ourselves alone but for all humanity.

I expect well-known people to be there from Hollywood, CNN, MSNBC ("They are peaceful, throwing objects but not in a hostile way"!), Nancy Pelosi and her morbidly obese yokefellow, Michael Moore along with pandering Democrat politicians glowering at the cameras in the finest Schumerglower style. Maybe even a beloved purple-haired soccer player will bring an American flag to stand on. The implication of it all to be that this was caused by Trump and his supporters and oppression of us all is the way to end it.
Have you seen it on TV shows, dramas, and comedies? Have you seen signs of courage from any late-night "comedy" hosts, even something so bold as a "we do not condone..."?
Then the reeducation of coming generations in true fashion with the erasure of American history and silencing of dissenting speech by destroying careers. You see it all happening now; what will it be like with government support and their access to information from federal investigative agencies?
We now see a fear to resist from the right in Congress and we all must be their inspiration. At eighty years of age, I have seen how far we have descended from the honorable fight for civil rights to all this.
One hundred years ago, millennials in Russia revolted and gave that nation seven decades of oppression, gulags, and poverty which has even manifested itself in U.S. politicians/
Please tell me when, as a "sixties millennial", would we have followed the likes of Al Sharpton, Bernie Sanders, Hillary Clinton, and a host of leftists demagogues? Perhaps; it is what millennials do, isn't it? The Tunnel Dweller

Trump Will ‘Not Even Consider’ Renaming Military Bases Honoring Confederate Generals

Bloomberg QuickTake News  "President Donald Trump on Wednesday said his administration will “not even consider” changing the name of any of the 10 Army bases that are named for Confederate Army officers. Two days earlier, Defense Secretary Mark Esper indicated that he was open to a broad discussion of such changes." . . .

. . . "Few voices in the military are openly defending the link to Confederate symbols, but some of the bases named for Confederate officers are legendary in their own right. Fort Bragg, for example, is home to some of the Army's most elite forces. Any decision to change the name at Bragg or other bases likely would involve consulting with officials from the affected states and localities.
"David Petraeus, a retired four-star Army general, says the renaming move, which he supports, amounts to a “war of memory,” and that before deciding to rename bases like Fort Bragg, where he served with the 82nd Airborne Division, the Army must be ready to follow its own procedures for such change.
"“The irony of training at bases named for those who took up arms against the United States, and for the right to enslave others, is inescapable to anyone paying attention," Petraeus wrote in an essay published Tuesday by The Atlantic. “Now, belatedly, is the moment for us to pay such attention.”
"Fort Bragg was named for Braxton Bragg, a native North Carolinian and Confederate general with a reputation for bravery and mediocre leadership. His forces were defeated at the Battle of Chattanooga in November 1863."

Why You No Longer Recognize Your Country

Conservatives think they’re so clever to point out that all of the cities being turned into war zones are run by Democrats. Yes, that’s true. On the other hand, your country is burning. Might you want to give 10 seconds of thought to how to prevent even more cities — and states — from falling under these pernicious leaders?  AC
Ann Coulter  "Mass looting throughout the nation. Police precincts burned to the ground. Murdered cops. An historic church in Lafayette Park set on fire. Video after horrifying video of innocent Americans being beaten senseless by gangs of thugs, as one political party demands: “DEFUND THE POLICE!”
"Everyone is saying it: I no longer recognize my country."
"You don’t recognize your country because it’s not the same country. What you’re seeing is the third-world hellhole the left has been quietly assembling for us since 1970.
"Minnesota, the crucible of the riots, has gone from having 2.6% foreign-born in 1990 to nearly 10% foreign-born today — and that’s not including their children or illegals.
"Instead of liberal but non-rioting Scandinavians and Germans, the new immigrants are overwhelmingly African, Asian and Hispanic. In fact, Minnesota now has a much larger proportion of Asian and African immigrants than the nation as a whole.
"Although the state has always leaned Democratic, thanks to its German and Scandinavian immigrants (Ben Franklin was right about them), the Norsemen elected Walter Mondale. Recent immigrants elected Rep. Ilhan Omar.
"Hey, Republicans! Tell me again that immigration is just a “single issue.”
"America’s first encounter with anarchist mobs trying to wreck our country came with the last wave of immigrants at the turn of the 20th century. Back then, most Americans liked America. So we had no trouble cracking down on the people who would destroy us. Seven of the eight anarchists behind the Haymarket riot in 1886 were sentenced to death (two of those sentences were commuted to life in prison by the governor), one to 15 years in prison.
"A few decades later, Attorney General Mitchell Palmer put an end to the nonsense by arresting and deporting more than 500 leftist immigrants." . . .  Read more...

Outrage At Democrats Wearing Kente Cloth During Moment Of Silence: ‘So Woke It Actually Feels Racist’

“Folks really think Black people are a joke,” author and former Warren surrogate; Frederick Joseph tweeted.“I still can’t wrap my mind around the fact that they draped these white people in kente cloth to ‘honor’ him,” Joseph said in another tweet. “This has to be hell.”
NewsDesk  "Democrat lawmakers, led by House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA), are facing overwhelming backlash after opting to wear Kente cloth during their nearly nine-minute moment of silence in a show against police brutality. Many users across social media questioned their motives and blasted them for missing the mark.

"Pelosi and fellow Democrat lawmakers, including Sens. Kamala Harris (D-CA), Cory Booker (D-NJ), and Chuck Schumer (D-NY), took a knee on Monday for eight minutes and 46 seconds as a show of solidarity with Americans protesting police brutality and remembering those who have die"d, including George Floyd, Michael Brown, and Trayvon Martin. Democrats could be seen kneeling in unison, with most wearing Kente cloth — a special fabric with deep and meaningful origins rooted in West Africa — in a seeming attempt to show further solidarity with the black community. Their attempt, however, appeared to many to fall flat.
“There is more Kente fabric in this picture than at a Ghanaian traditional wedding,” pro-life activist Obianuju Ekeocha said.
. . .
Former national surrogate for Sen. Elizabeth Warren Frederick Joseph  went on to suggest that House Majority Whip James Clyburn, D-S.C., and the Congressional Black Caucus were wrong if they were the ones who suggested this demonstration.
"Also, if the CBC and/or Clyburn suggested this, it’s a testament to how problematic some Black people are in politics. Gross," he said.

Great meaning in this Al Goodwyn cartoon, but it took me a while to understand until I moved back farther from it.

Rev Al and the Democrats, our moral guides in these troubled times

An Honest Conversation on Race? "One of the trite pearls of wisdom repeated ad nauseam for the past several days is that America needs to have an honest conversation on race.  It’s a constant theme repeated in the self-flagellating virtue signaling spewing forth from prominent figures in industry, academia, and even the military, put out in hopes that the Orwellian cultural Death Star doesn’t cast its eye of destruction on them.
"Of course, the media manipulators and leftists have no interest in an honest conversation.  The only thoughts allowed in their version are mostly false ones that have been approved by leftists for the purpose of inciting racial hatred and overthrowing America." . . .
Dare to take part in that "honest conversation" then you can say goodbye to your family, your windows, your home, and your career.

It's Your Fault They Turn to Violence! So Beto is right?
As for the fact that, although accounting for about 15 percent of the U.S. population, blacks commit half of all murders — which at the very least means they end up in violent confrontations with police — what difference does that make?
This Black American Deems Floyd Protests Unnecessary:
Exploiting George Floyd’s Death  . . . "The mayor of Minneapolis absurdly said the riots and looting in response to Floyd’s death are justifiable because they represent 400 years of pent-up black rage. That is such a crock of pandering leftist nonsense. The rioters are nothing more than paid domestic terrorists and ghetto trash exploiting the incident to go on an illegal shopping spree.
"The vast majority of the rioters wreaking havoc have never experienced an ounce of racism in their entire lives. Americans have been trained to know they had better kiss blacks’ derrieres at every opportunity or suffer crucifixion by Democrats and fake news media. For crying out loud, beginning in kindergarten, leftist-controlled public schools teach white students that they were born racist scum.  Therefore, all whites must feel forever guilty, apologetic, and accommodating to blacks.
"The dirty little secret is Democrats love creating race-based crises because it allows them opportunities to demand more sure-to-fail gazillion dollar government-fix-it-programs which end up fattening Democrat pockets. Along with selling their lie that America sucks, Democrats believe spreading racial hate and division wins them votes." . . . Lloyd Marcus, The Unhyphenated American

Al in 2019. Did he ever take a knee in honor of the Jews he had attacked?
. . . "Ignited by the falsehoods, resentment exploded into violence. Groups of young black men threw rocks, bottles, and debris at police, residents, and homes."According to the New York Times, more than 250 neighborhood residents went on a rampage that first night, mostly black teenagers, many of whom were shouting “Jews! Jews! Jews!' ”
2015: New York Times Defends Folly of Black Lives Matter  . . . “The Truth of ‘Black Lives Matter’ flat-out ignores that Black Lives Matter is based on a number of pernicious lies. Chief among them is that Michael Brown was executed by Officer Darren Wilson. If that were true, why did an Eric Holder-headed Justice Department investigation conclude that Michael Brown did not have his hands up when Officer Wilson fired the fatal shots? For this group, facts and truth don’t matter. Still, Black Lives Matter demands that Wilson be arrested." . . .

Defund the police? Your city first; "Do you lefties really understand what that means?"*

When 'Defund the Police' Is Too Radical For Bernie Sanders  "To say the ‘Defund Police’ movement is radical is an understatement—especially when even a proud socialist isn’t on board with the idea.
. . . "Some were skeptical whether Sanders truly disagreed with the movement or whether he publicly opposed it to help Democratic presidential nominee Joe Biden, who said Monday he did not support defunding the police." . . .

Reform, defunding, abolition: Activists push plans to overhaul police departments
. . . "Congressional Democrats rolled out a long-shot reform plan on Monday. The Justice in Policing Act would include national use-of-force standards for police officers (including banning chokeholds), a countrywide registry of police misconduct, the creation of independent bodies to investigate such misconduct and a reversal of the militarization of police forces around the nation.
"It also includes a partial rollback of qualified immunity, which shields law enforcement officials from being held personally liable for actions undertaken in the line of duty.
"House Speaker Nancy Pelosi appeared to try to get ahead of claims that the legislation wasn’t enough, saying it was “transformative” and “not incremental.”
“ 'This is a first step,” Pelosi said. “There is more to come.' ” . . .

Andrew Thomas blogs at Dark Angel Politics
‘Defund the police’ creating deep rift between two key Dem constituencies, Hispanics and blacks . . . "The problem with ad hoc armed groups is that the Constitution’s protections mean nothing to them, and even if well-intentioned, self-interest and greed inevitably supplant idealism as the motivating force, absent powerful external constraints.
"And now, as police have proved themselves incapable of protecting the entire public in the face of insurrection, in Chicago, Hispanic gangs are stepping up. Fuzzy Slippers of Legal Insurrection writes:  . . ."

*Defund the Police? That Would Mean...  . . . "Another thing you might think of, wokies, is that if the police aren’t cracking heads in a shocking display of police brutality then the various gangs of helpless-victim minorities will be delighted to take up the slack.
"I am sure that all you educated wokies are familiar with the North African St. Augustine, who wrote 1,600 years ago that the only difference between a criminal gang and a government was the “addition of impunity." . . .

Sense And Nonsense On The Police [Updated]  "Democrats are demanding that police forces be abolished (or “defunded”) even though one would be crazy to think that a world without law enforcement would be desirable. Minneapolis City Council President Lisa Bender, on CNN, couldn’t answer a simple question: if there are no police, what do you do if someone is breaking into your house?  Interview video below
CAMEROTA: "What if in the middle of the night my home is broken into. Who do I call?"
BENDER: "Yes, I hear that loud and clear from a lot of my neighbors. And I know — and myself, too, and I know that that comes from a place of privilege."
. . .
"That’s the nonsense. The sense comes from Republican Senate candidate Jason Lewis, this time on Fox News:o the sense and the nonsense, we can add the breathtakingly hypocritical: Nury Martinez, the President of the Los Angeles City Council and (of course) a Democrat, is leading an effort to cut $150 million from the LAPD’s budget. Only–oops–it turns out that Ms. Martinez has had “24/7 security beginning April 4 at [her] home, almost always staffed by two officers.” Provided, of course, by the Los Angeles Police Department, at a cost to taxpayers of an estimated $100,000." . . .

. . . UPDATE: Journalist Lara Logan responds to Lisa Bender’s moronic comment about “privilege” with a dose of reality (Emphasis mine), TD:

I remember when I was being gang-raped & beaten by a mob in Egypt, would have been great to have a police force to call then. Would that have been my white privilege talking? I’ve stood against racism all my life, don’t have a racist bone in my body. My heart breaks... https://twitter.com/eddiezipperer/status/1269951088964370432

Set upon: Lara Logan was torn away from her film crew just moments after this picture was taken in Cairo's Tahrir Square. She was subjected to a prolonged sexual assault by a terrifying mob of at least 200 men
. . . "A group of at least 200 men beat her, pinched her and tore at her clothes in a 40-minute attack that only ended when a group of women came to her aid." . . .

Tell me again: why did Democrats choose AOC?

Sorry; I meant to say "CONGRESSWOMAN AOC". Forgive me, I'm sorry, I'm sorry, I'm sorry, I'm sorry,

Candace Owens Shuts Down AOC’s Attack On Kayleigh McEnany: “You are stupid, incomprehensibly stupid

. . . "Politico’s Jake Sherman tagged AOC in a tweet that said McEnany said “from the podium: ‘Biden adviser Alexandria Ocasio Cortez.’”
"AOC was not happy and snapped back without having watched the full press conference and accused McEnany of racism for not calling her Congresswoman.
"AOC then got all arrogant and embarrassed herself saying she would “look forward to her apology.”
" '@PressSec wouldn’t be the first person to mistake a women of color for having a lower position or title than she does, but Kayleigh – in case you haven’t picked up a newspaper in two years, I’m a Congresswoman,” AOC tweeted.
“ 'The @PressSec comment is steeped in a long, hurtful, & horrendous history of stripping women of color of titles and diminishing them to “the help.”” AOC continued.
“ 'Perhaps she isn’t aware that what she did is mired in racist history. If that is the case, I look forward to her apology tomorrow.”
"Enter Candace Owens:
This is incomprehensibly stupid. Referring to someone as an advisor is not a form of racism. Jared Kushner, who is infinitely brighter and more accomplished than you will ever be, is an advisor. You can also “advise” while you are in congress. You did it for Bernie, imbecile. . . .
Then Owens gives the knife a twist:
You are stupid. Not because you are a woman of color, but because you are stupid.

AOC Says For The Pillaging To Stop You Must Give Up Your Property & [she] Issues A Whole List Of Demands  ... ' AOC threatened that if these demands are not met things are going to get a whole lot worse. She also said that if you don’t agree with the demands you are involved in “social oppression.”
"Her statement comes after another night of chaos from the George Flynn riots, Police casualties are increasing business owners trying to protect what’s left of their business after the pandemic are being beaten and having their livelihoods burned to the ground. Now this communists – AOC – is telling us that if we don’t give up our property and give everyone health care it’s about to get worse.
"Well, we don’t negotiate with terrorists and President Trump has declared Antifa a terrorist organization." . . .

Woke Chaos and Naked Power

. . . Shut up. Believe. Repeat. The chaos of the moment isn't a bug; it's a feature. And the more confused we are, the less we can possibly hold together, despite the fact that nearly all Americans agree on the most important issues." . . .

Ben Shapiro  . . . "Instead, the country seems to be falling apart. That's because of the utterly chaotic political and media response to the Floyd tragedy: a response that demands agreement but, most of all, requires compliance. You must kneel.
"You must kneel because you cannot understand. You simply cannot. If you have to ask for a definition of systemic privilege, we are told, it's because your white privilege has blinded you to reality. If you point out that not all inequality is inequity, we are told, it is because your latent racism is leeching into your worldview. If you defend America's history, philosophy and culture -- or, God forbid, her flag -- you must apologize. And, if Drew Brees is any indicator, your wife must also apologize, and your second cousin once removed.
"You may not understand what is being demanded of you. You may see the wave of conflicting messages emanating from the press and wonder just what you're supposed to do. But the chaos is the point. You are supposed to be confused. Confusion is a political weapon. Clarity is a shield. If our media and political class can prevent clarity, they can prevent unity; if they can obscure, they can demand acquiescence." . . .
. . . "Thus, we hear that the rioting and looting were exaggerated by the media, or that they were largely the product of white antifa members. But we also hear that rioting and looting are the justified outgrowth of centuries of black rage. You cannot, therefore, oppose rioting and looting too strenuously, lest you be labeled a racist." . . .
