Five Common Threads Between China's Red Guard and Antifa

PJ Media

"Ain't I a chick magnet?"
"For the past year I have been watching videos of the antics and riots between antifa and everyone they don’t like. (And if you don’t identify totally with antifa, antifa definitely is against you, no matter what your politics are.) As I’ve been studying their beliefs and tactics it occurred to me that they were imitating the communist agitators of years past, particularly of the Red Guard in the Chinese Revolution.
"When you understand how the Red Guard ran almost unchecked throughout China and virtually destroyed that nation during that time, and you see the similarities between those communists and antifa, it is easy to realize that the “antifa” that is currently creating havoc could certainly be a real and serious threat to our liberty in a constitutional republic.
"While the two groups are not exactly identical, currently I see four common threads between the Red Guard and antifa:" . . .   Full article here

Trump’s Base Remains Solid As Political Tide Turns

Right now, the race should not be the deadlock that Zogby found.  Biden desperately needs it to not be.  Biden needs a buffer now for the already turning political tides.  It is clear Trump’s base is rock-solid.  It has yet to be proved how much of one Biden has, let alone whether it will be there in November.
Issues & Insights  "Despite 2020’s tough start, Trump’s base remains solid, which bodes well for his November.  National polls have recently shown a widening Biden lead; considering the current political environment, this is not surprising.  What is surprising is how well Trump has held up, and how well it positions him as political tides turn.
"The current Real Clear Politics average of national presidential polling gives Biden a 50.1% to 41.3% lead less than five months from November’s election.  This fits conventional expectations that 2020’s rough first half is damaging the president’s re-election chances.  However, looking inside these national polls reveals a crucial shortcoming: They are not polling those most likely to vote.
"Of the eleven national polls making up RCP’s average, ten sampled “registered” voters, not “likely” voters.  Registered voter polls are historically less accurate and over-represent Democrats in their results.
"One likely voter poll not included in RCP’s average is Zogby’s recent one (conducted 6/1-6/2 of 1,007 likely voters) which has Trump and Biden deadlocked at 46% apiece.  "Everything in Zogby’s was not perfect for the president; his approval/disapproval rating was negative — 48% approve/51% disapprove.  However, as Zogby noted: “During this almost exact moment at the end of Barack Obama’s first term, his job approval numbers were very similar…48% approve/50% disapprove.” . . .

2020 Election Will Be a Contest of the Angry

Victor Davis Hanson  . . . "The internet is aflame with self-appointed sleuths. They scour hours of video and millions of words, searching for an indiscreet past remark — as fodder to take out a political opponent, a rival for a job, or a personal enemy.

"The people’s energy, tranquilized by a two-month national quarantine and the terror of the coronavirus, has suddenly exploded in both massive protests and silent seething at the lawlessness.
'The result is that for good or evil, the 2020 election is no longer really about Biden and Trump, Democratic or Republican policies, or progressive and conservative agendas.
"No, it is now about America as it has been before May 2020 — always flawed, but constantly improving, and not perfect but far better than the alternatives — and what has now followed.
"Much of the country believes that America is racist, cruel, and incapable of self-correction of its so-called original sins — without a radical erasure of much of its past history, traditions, and customs.
"It sees occasional violence as a necessary stimulant of long-overdue change. It increasingly argues that the American founding’s focus on liberty and freedom was selfish and incompatible with social justice and equality.
"Racism, the protesting left says, is in the American DNA. It finally requires massive cutting, chemotherapy, and radiation — treatment that deservedly will sicken and may even kill the host.
"The other half of the country will vote to preserve what is under attack. They feel that the dreamy world of the demonstrators and rioters is an Orwellian vision far worse than the present reality that they are protesting.
"America in their view is the world’s only large, successful multiracial democracy. It is the dream destination of the world’s immigrants — precisely because its ancient institutions adapt and change for the better, but only if they are preserved and allowed to work.
"The angry and the demonstrating are loud and visible; their opponents are angry and quiet.
"The election will reveal not just who is more numerous — but sadly also who is the angriest."

Why are not even liberals angry at the contemptible Democrats of the House Judiciary Committee as they made every effort to destroy the life and family of Judge Brett Kavanaugh?

Brandon Tatum Burns BLM's Partisan Motives: 'They Don't Care About Black Lives'  ...“ 'It’s a political strong-arm of the Democrat Party, and I do not support them. I want people who are out here trying to make a difference, who want to make a change, who are actually putting their boots on the ground and doing something about it,” he later said."
...“ 'They wouldn’t be focused on just looking at black people who get killed by white police officers — because if you get killed by another race of police officer, it does not matter.

Leftist Minstrel Show: Self-abasing protestors mostly white, and blacks are starting to laugh

Monica Showalter   "Anti-racism protests, which form the backdrop of the violence, desecration and looting going on around the U.S., are starting to look just a little bit strange to some black people." . . .
Referring to actions such as "changing names, toppling statues, [and] firing professors because they said all lives matter," Johnson explained that "it just shows to me that white America is continually ... incapable of recognizing that black people have their own ideas and thought about what's in their best interests."He suggested that black people should be consulted before people take actions like tearing down statues or firing someone for a comment they have made."Give us the belief that you respect our opinion. You go out and do something and destroy something, fire somebody because you think it hurts us. Why don't you ask us first if it hurts us before you go and say 'Oh, I gotta do something for the negroes to make them feel better.' Well ask us if we want you to do that to make us feel better," he said.

. . . "Call it a minstrel show of whites, designed to win redemption from blacks, but in reality, ending up entertaining blacks, or at least making them laugh.

Denver Homeowners’ Association Bans Police Chaplain's Thin Blue Line Flag, Calling It a 'White Lives Matter' Symbol

PJ Media  "A Denver homeowners’ association has ordered a local police chaplain to remove the “thin blue line” flag from his property, even while allowing neighbors to fly similar flags for other first responders and the military.
"The chaplain, who wishes to remain anonymous for sadly obvious reasons, has flown his Thin Blue Line flag since National Police Officers Day in May.
"He told Fox News 31’s Deborah Takahara earlier this week, “I believe that’s why I’m being targeted — because I’m associated with them. I believe it’s just because it’s everything going on in the world right now, in this country.”
"The notice from his HOA insisted that the well-known flag flown to show support for all police officers is actually a “white lives matter” symbol.
"Or as our mysterious chaplain said, “There’s nothing about racism at all there. It’s simply saying, ‘We stand for you. You continue to do all the great things you do’.”
“ 'I serve with so many different officers of so many different ethnic backgrounds. I’ve shared it with them. This isn’t a white lives, this is a blue lives matter because they do.' ” . . .

Whose Lives Matter in America?

In Washington Obama is feared, not loved; no one dares to cross him. It’s the Chicago Way.

http://www.terrellaftermath.com/
Obama and his Gang of Untouchables   . . . "The term “The Untouchables” referred not to the Chicago mafia but to Eliot Ness’ incorruptible gang of cops. In the Obama era, however, that term is flipped on its head. It applies to the former president himself and his own sort of mob—a broad syndicate of henchmen, including corrupt cops, who continue to serve their Don and enrich themselves in the process. Barack Obama still calls the shots and pulls the strings while his goombahs in the news media, federal government, and Democratic Party carry out his orders.
“ 'If they bring a knife to the fight, we bring a gun,” Obama said in 2008, cribbing Connery’s line, during his first campaign for president. It was a warning that the Chicago-machine raised politician would use any weapon at his disposal to defeat his foes—which is exactly what he did.
"And it’s the reason why to this day, Obama and his consigliere, Joe Biden, escape any culpability for the biggest shakedown in U.S. political history—the attempted hit on Donald Trump. After getting away with what would have been presidency-ending scandals for anyone else—illegal gun-running in Mexico, intimidating Tea Party activists with the IRS, shipping billions to Iranian mullahs, and lying about a terrorist attack to avoid losing re-election—Obama and Biden knew they could pull off one more caper. But this time, "Obama’s lackeys didn’t just ignore or excuse his bad behavior, they were in on it. Now they are trying to hide the evidence." . . .

The Dixie Chicks Officially Change Their Name to The Chicks

Snopes

The move follows a decision by country group Lady Antebellum to change to Lady A after acknowledging the word’s association to slavery.

"NASHVILLE, Tenn. (AP) — Grammy-winning country group The Dixie Chicks have dropped the word Dixie from their name, now going by The Chicks.
"The band’s social media accounts and website were changed on Thursday to the refer to the new name for the band, which is made up of Martie Maguire, Natalie Maines and Emily Strayer. The band also recognized that the name was already in use by a band in New Zealand.
" 'A sincere and heartfelt thank you goes out to ‘The Chicks’ of NZ for their gracious gesture in allowing us to share their name. We are honored to co-exist together in the world with these exceptionally talented sisters,” the band said in a statement.
"The move follows a decision by country group Lady Antebellum to change to Lady A after acknowledging the word’s association to slavery. A statement on The Chicks’ website said “ 'We want to meet this moment.” The term Dixie refers to Southern U.S. states, especially those that belonged to the Confederacy.
The Chicks, who are releasing their first new album in 14 years next month, also released a new video for their new song, “March March” that features videos and images from the recent Black Lives Matter rallies.
Lady A received criticism with their name switch after a Black singer revealed she’d been performing as Lady A for years.
"The Chicks are the best selling female group in America with more than 33 million albums sold in the United States, according to the Recording Industry Association of America. Formed originally in Texas as a bluegrass group, the band hit commercial fame with their breakthrough album “Wide Open Spaces.” The band has won 13 Grammys.
Dixie All Purpose Cups, 5 oz, 100 Count (3 Pack)"The band was shunned by country radio over an incident in 2003 when lead singer Maines criticized then-President George W. Bush because of the Iraq War. They responded to the backlash with their song “Not Ready to Make Nice,” and swept the Grammys in 2007 winning three of the top all-genre categories." . .  .

Biden wasn't kidding when he kept saying "Barack and I..."

Obama and Biden were up to their necks in the Flynn persecution
. . . "The notes, which Peter Strzok wrote based on a conversation with Comey, show Obama directing the FBI to investigate General Flynn using “the right people,” while Biden came up with the idea that Flynn should be prosecuted under the Logan Act, an old, unconstitutional law that is inapplicable to a national security advisor. As well as showing a White House conspiracy against the incoming administration, the notes also reveal that Susan Rice’s bizarre inauguration email to herself was false and that Biden lied to Americans about his involvement.
"Although heavily redacted, the portion of the notes that the DOJ released to the public is unambiguous. In the Scribd document embedded below, the title that The Federalist gave to the one page document tells the whole story: “Peter Strzok’s Notes Confirm Obama Personally Ordered Hit on Michael Flynn.” .  .  .
Tony Branco
. . . "On top of all that, there’s also the fact that the Democrats’ presidential nominee – Joe Biden – played an active, if idiotic, role in what looks remarkably like a seditious conspiracy.
"The notes reveal that Biden was the person who came up with the idea of a Logan Act prosecution. Actually, that makes sense. It would be Biden who would cite an 18th century, unconstitutional law that cannot apply to an incoming national security advisor. One has to wonder how Biden even thought of it. The best theory comes from Undercover Huber:" . . .
Riots give Donald Trump a chance to rally his supporters and go after racism  . . . "Videos of rioters pulling down statues and occupying American cities are bewildering. Why are these people allowed to do this?

“ 'My biggest concern for Seattle was what the business community is going to come back to, and what kind of businesses are going to come back for customers,” he said." . . .

Like small children, they’re afraid of everything. In California, an Hispanic utilities worker made the mistake of cracking his knuckles at a red light. Are we being trolled? Criminals announce time and place they will tear down Abraham Lincoln statue in DC

BPR  Black Lives Matter extremists in the Washington, D.C. metropolitan area are reportedly intent on tearing down a statue that was paid for by freed slaves.
"Known as the Emancipation Memorial or as Freedman’s Memorial, the statue depicting former President Abraham Lincoln and a freed slave has sat in Lincoln Park since 1876.
"More notably, the monument was paid for almost entirely by freed slaves.
"“The bronze statue, designed by sculptor Thomas Ball, was built almost entirely with funds donated by former slaves and dedicated in 1876,” D.C.’s official tourism site, Washington.org, notes.
" 'The statue was unveiled on the 11th anniversary of Lincoln’s death, with Frederick Douglass delivering the keynote address to President Ulysses S. Grant and more than 25,000 people in attendance.”
"One hundred forty-four years later, extremists with BLM are planning to try and tear down the monument this upcoming Thursday, according to reports (*Language warning):" . . .

The Story Behind A Statue
"On April 14, 1876, the 11th anniversary of Abraham Lincoln's assassination, a handsome bronze statue called "Freedmen's Memorial" was unveiled in Washington. The piece contained two figures: Lincoln and a newly freed slave, just rising from his knees and grasping a broken chain. This statue, which still stands in Lincoln Park, was erected with contributions from hundreds of former slaves who wanted to pay tribute to the man who had proclaimed their freedom in 1863. But the statue also pays tribute to an unlikely pair of St. Louisans who helped give it life. The model for the freedman was Archer Alexander, a Virginia-born slave who found refuge in St. Louis during the Civil War. " . . .
Just after Lincoln's death, the commission had received an intriguing request from a former slave, who sent the commission $5 -- her first earnings as a free woman -- to help build a monument to Lincoln, "the best friend the colored people ever had." The commission began a fund-raising campaign and invited former slaves to contribute. Soon it had amassed $16,242 -- a huge sum, but not enough for the monument proposed. A disappointed commission banked the money and waited. Then in 1869, Eliot visited the studio of sculptor Thomas Ball, where he saw a plaster model for a statue of Lincoln and a kneeling slave. Ball was willing to reproduce it in bronze, at cost. The commission asked Ball to make two changes in the statue. First, the former slave should not appear passive, but an eager participant in his own liberation. Ball obliged and gave him a broken shackle. And instead of an idealized figure, the commission wanted to represent a real freedman: Eliot gave Ball photos of his employee Archer Alexander. Eliot had known Alexander for more than a dozen years by the time the statue was dedicated. In 1885, Eliot would publish a moving biography, "The Story of Archer Alexander," in which he wrote, "I never knew a man, white or black, more thoroughly Christian ... in all conduct and demeanor." Yet the book did more than describe one man's life. By telling Alexander's story, Eliot wished to expose the horrors of slavery. " . . . Full article here.  Visit our home page here.
