Joe Manchin, a key Democratic senator, says he'll oppose Biden's nominee Neera Tanden

Yahoo  "Manchin said in a statement after reviewing Neera Tanden's public statements and tweets that were "personally directed" toward his Senate colleagues, he would oppose her nomination to run the powerful office.

" 'I believe her overtly partisan statements will have a toxic and detrimental impact on the important working relationship between members of Congress and the next director of the Office of Management and Budget," he said.

"Although a final Senate vote on Tanden's nomination has yet been scheduled, Manchin's opposition could scuttle her confirmation because of the Senate's 50-50 split between Republicans and Democrats. She would need to pick up at least one vote from a Republican and for Vice President Kamala Harris to break a potential tie to secure the simple majority needed for confirmation.

"The White House signaled it would press ahead with Tanden's confirmation." . . .

Manchin opposes Neera Tanden, endangering her OMB nomination (msn.com ..."There were vicious attacks made against progressives, people who I have worked with, me personally," he said. "Can you reflect a little bit about some of your decisions and some of the personal statements you have made in recent years?"...

Conservatives Release Memo to Oppose Neera Tanden to Head OMB (breitbart.com)   . . . "The coalition hopes to disseminate the memo across social media and other platforms to put pressure on Senators to oppose President Joe Biden nominating Tanden, who has a far-left policy record, including during her tenure as president of the left-wing Center for American Progress.

"The memo stated:

Conservatives strongly oppose the confirmation of Neera Tanden to lead the Office of Management and Budget (OMB).

It is critical that the OMB director lead the agency with sound judgment, as well as bipartisan civility. Tanden has shown neither.

A 2018 report found Tanden mishandled the personal details of a sexual harassment allegation at the Center for American Progress, the organization which she led. She is also accused of pushing or hitting a reporter during her tenure as a senior aide to Hillary Clinton’s presidential campaign.

The worst people in the world? Those gleefully celebrating the death of Rush Limbaugh -

The View cohosts Joy Behar and Whoopi Goldberg are in an epic battle to see which one is the dumbest person on the show. The chickens are clucking with excitement that Joe Biden is suddenly the democratic party’s frontrunner again and there was lots of fantasies about who he should appoint to various positions. Whoopi thinks Biden should make his wife the Surgeon general because she thinks teacher Dr. Jill Biden is a medical doctor. Joy Behar thinks Biden should name AOC as VP because she doesn’t understand there is an age requirement for the position. It’s anyone’s game.  Def-Con News

American Thinker

"You are a little man. It's not that you're short. You're little, in the mind and in the heart. Tonight you tried to make a man little whose boots you couldn't touch if you stood on tiptoe on top of the highest mountain in the world. And as it turned out ... you ever littler than you were before." —People Will Talk, 1951

"The untimely death of the great Rush Limbaugh has left an enormous void in the lives of his many millions of fans, people whose love of America he validated with sincere and robust relish.  He changed lives, brought many who happened upon his radio program who thought they were lifetime Democrats to conservatism with his wealth of knowledge about this nation's founding documents and principles.

"He never in his thirty-two years on the air uttered a racist word.  He did make fun of the worst excesses of feminism and was of course correct in his criticism.  The feminist movement did more harm to women and men than almost any other -ism except Nazism and communism.  But Rush was never a misogynist; everyone who listened to him knew he loved women in the best way, the way they want to be loved.  As many of those who for the last two days have been expressing their love for the man and the pain of losing him while he was still so young and vital knew well, the man was the titan of broadcasting who will never be replaced.

"But the left is giddy at his passing, celebrating it with the most vile and vicious words of condemnation.  They are vilifying this great man, but we all know they never listened to him.  They didn't need to listen; they take their cues to assassinate his character from the lowest of the low, radical leftists who seek to impose Marxist communism on the American people.  Mark Wauck notes what people like Sunny Hostin of The View had to say (emphasis in original):

"The liberal hosts of "The View" blasted conservative radio host Rush Limbaugh the day after his death, saying Thursday that he "normalized hatred" for "people sitting in their trucks in the middle of America" and suggesting he was in Hell.

Biden kills pipelines at home but promotes them for the Taliban Washington Examiner

Washington Examiner  "On his first day in office, President Biden canceled permits for the Keystone XL pipeline. Environmentalists and anti-fossil fuel activists should not have applauded his move.

"After all, Canada will not stop extracting oil from the tar sands of northern Alberta. Instead, it will simply export oil over existing pipelines or to the Pacific Ocean, where the damage from a potential spill would be harder to address. Biden’s cancellation cost jobs and pushes Canada toward greater economic cooperation with China. It also shakes confidence in U.S. business. Who would invest in the country if any future administration can simply renege on deals with the stroke of a pen? Especially, that is, when the investments involved here reach into the billions of dollars?"

"Biden’s move was both political theater and an indulgence of his liberal base. But his hypocrisy was stunning even for a politician who has spent a half-century in Washington. Consider that while the Biden administration is killing a pipeline from which the public could benefit, Biden is promoting a pipeline to enrich both one of the world’s worst dictatorships and a group responsible for thousands of U.S. deaths.

"The government has apparently brokered a meeting between the Turkmenistan government and the Taliban for a trans-Afghanistan pipeline to bring Turkmen gas across Afghanistan and Pakistan to India. If this scheme sounds familiar, it should: It was the same deal that now-Special Envoy Zalmay Khalilzad sought to make with the Taliban in the years before the Sept. 11 terror attacks when he was a consultant for the Unocal Corporation.

"Khalilzad’s scheme was bad policy two decades ago, and it is even worse now." . . .

Hollywood Celebrities Celebrate Rush Limbaugh Death

Leftists Respond to Rush Limbaugh's Death with a Flood of Vile Insults  "Prominent leftists responded to the passing of radio talk show host Rush Limbaugh with a flurry of hateful tweets.

"The conservative icon had been battling advanced lung cancer for more than a year and died Wednesday at the age of 70.

"Soon after news of Limbaugh’s death broke, “rest in p–s” started trending on Twitter with many leftist writers and media figures joining in.

"WARNING: The following tweets contain vulgar language that some readers will find offensive.

“ 'RIP Rush Limbaugh, he got sucked down a toilet while shouting racial slurs,” Jason Gilbert, an employee of The Daily Show, tweeted." . . .

Breitbart   "Left-wing Hollywood celebrities wasted little time in popping the champagne following news of Rush Limbaugh’s death. As Breitbart News reported, the 70-year-old conservative radio legend died Wednesday morning following a battle with advanced lung cancer, his wife, Kathryn Limbaugh, announced at the beginning of Wednesday’s radio program.

Ignoring any sense of taste or decorum, the stars piled on with nasty insults, including actress Amber Tamblyn, who wished Rush Limbaugh to “RIP” — “Rot In Purgatory,” and her husband, actor David Cross, who declared that “cancer killed the cancer.”

Other Hollywood elies who celebrated Limbaugh’s death include John Cusack, Marc Maron, Larry Charles, and Star Trek veteran George Takei.

David Cross and Amber Tamblyn led the Hollywood hate parade with matching his-and-her insults aimed at the late radio host." . . .

Rush Limbaugh dies: Bette Midler among celebrities celebrating | Daily Mail Online "Limbaugh, 70, died at home in Palm Beach, Florida, on Wednesday morning following a 12-month battle with lung cancer. His fourth wife Kathryn announced the news of his death on his radio show to his loyal fans.

"But while conservatives across the nation mourned the loss of the larger-than-life broadcaster who laid waste to political correctness over his decades-long career, a cohort of celebrities took to social media to, as some put it, 'dance on his grave'." . . .

SmarterThan Most, Your Neighbor, United States, about 4 hours ago:   Hello. I am a 'celebrity'. I like to grab my crotch on stage. I can act. I pretend to be other people because I have no other skills. I can carry a tune while barely having a minimal reading comprehension level. But, I'm a celebrity so you listen to me.

Twitter liberals celebrate Rush Limbaugh's death: 'I'm glad' he lived long enough to 'get cancer and die' | Fox News

I am certain this has been written by many others on this post; if so, it still bears repeating. I suspect that many of the vituperative comments are entered by those who display yard signs stating "Love not Hate" with the clenched fist salute and numerous other yard signs proclaiming love of others. This "love" appears to be conditional, applying only to those who voice a similar political ideology. The correct approach, as difficult as it may be at times, is to love and pray for those with whom we disagree, not wish them evil or harm.

Finally, this came from OldretiredNCO:

"If I had to say something positive I guess I’m glad Rush Limbaugh lived long enough to get cancer and die," comedian Paul F. Tompkins said. My God! What a terrible thing to say about anyone. I've seen stage four lung cancer up close and personal when my grandfather succumbed to it. I watched my mother's next door neighbor of more than 40 years die from it. As a pastor, I've sat up with the families of patients as their loved ones slowly died from this horrible affliction. To actually be glad that a person, ANYONE, would contract lung cancer, or any other type of cancer for that matter, or to wish cancer on someone, defies belief. The utter lack of decency, compassion and caring coming from the left over this is, in my opinion, evil. May God forgive them and spare them from having to live with the agony of cancer. And may God grant them the wisdom to understand just how horrific these type of sentiments are.

Biden withdraws Trump’s restoration of UN sanctions on Iran

Tony Branco

Biden withdraws Trump's restoration of UN sanctions on Iran - Breitbart  "The Biden administration on Thursday rescinded former president Donald Trump’s restoration of U.N. sanctions on Iran, an announcement that could help Washington move toward rejoining the 2015 nuclear agreement aimed at reining in the Islamic Republic’s nuclear program.

"Acting U.S. Ambassador Richard Mills sent a letter to the U.N. Security Council on behalf of President Joe Biden saying the United States “hereby withdraws” three letters from the Trump administration culminating in its Sept. 19 announcement that the United States had re-imposed U.N. sanctions on Tehran.

"Mills said in the letter obtained by The Associated Press that sanctions measures terminated in the 2015 council resolution endorsing the nuclear deal with six major powers, but restored by Trump in September, “remain terminated.”

"Trump pulled the United States out of the agreement, known as the Jointint Comprehensive Plan of Action, or JCPOA, in 2018, accusing Iran of serious violations.

"Biden has said the United States wants to rejoin the pact and the State Department said Thursday the U.S. would accept an invitation from the European Union to attend a meeting of the participants in the original agreement — Britain, France, Germany, Russia, China and Iran.

"The Trump administration’s decision to invoke a provision in the 2015 council resolution allowing the “snapback” of sanctions because Iran was in “significant non-performance” with its obligations under the accord was ignored by the rest of the Security Council and the world." . . .

Ben Shapiro steps in to help conservative actress canceled by Disney for wrongthink -

And liberals accuse President Trump of hate!

Ethel C. Fenig  "Lucasfilm dumped wrongthinking conservative actress Gina Carano from her starring role in their popular franchise The Mandalorian, allegedly because of a tweet showing a picture of a German soldier who failed to give the Nazi salute and analyzing how clever dictators "other" those they dislike.  This indicated that she approved of such Nazi tactics, according to Lucasfillm bigwigs' reasoning, which was also anti Jewish.

"However, Lucasfilm, which is part of Disney, is an important member of the same entertainment industry whose members encourage the trivialization of the evil of Nazism in comparisons as long as the target is former president Donald J. Trump (R).  Then it is laudable.

"For instance, Alec Baldwin continues to sully the easily sulliable Saturday Night Live despite or because of tweets such as the following: " . . .

. . . "But Carano's intent was the opposite, so — begone!  Enter Ben Shapiro, a Jew who is so comfortable in his Jewishness and Judaism that he decamped from liberal Hollywood to Nashville, where he recently announced:

Gina Carano To Produce And Star In Upcoming Film For The Daily Wire

"Yes, that Gina Carano." . . .

Gina Carano To Produce And Star In Upcoming Film For The Daily Wire | The Daily Wire

Gina Carano Counterpunches: She'll Produce and Star in New Project With The Daily Wire – PJ Media   "Gina Carano has a new gig 24 hours after being fired by Lucasfilm from the hit show The Mandalorian on Disney+. Luckily for Carano, conservative upstarts at The Daily Wire are making their first forays into the entertainment space. Their first feature film, Run, Hide, Fight from producer Dallas Sonnier was released in January and received an audience rating of 93% positive on Rotten Tomatoes, even though critics tried to torpedo it.

"While no details are available on the project, Carano seems more than pleased with the new opportunity:

The Daily Wire is helping make one of my dreams — to develop and produce my own film — come true. I cried out and my prayer was answered. I am sending out a direct message of hope to everyone living in fear of cancellation by the totalitarian mob. I have only just begun using my voice which is now freer than ever before, and I hope it inspires others to do the same. They can’t cancel us if we don’t let them.”

"The new project is part of The Daily Wire’s partnership with Sonnier’s company Bonfire Legend. When he appeared on Ben Shapiro’s Daily Wire interview show Sunday Special, Sonnier said he hopes to bring more movie production to Dallas, Texas, where his company is located. He is looking to bring fresh storylines to the screen that don’t conform to Hollywood’s preferred themes." . . .

Trump says Joe Biden 'lying' over Covid vaccine 'or mentally gone'

The Marxist Party Presidential Candidate 2020

Daily Mail Online "Hear Mr. Trump on this Trumtweet: "Donald Trump has speculated that Joe Biden is either lying or 'mentally gone' after the president on Tuesday night said his administration arrived to find no COVID-19 vaccines available.

"Trump, who on Wednesday broke his silence to give a series of interviews marking the death of Rush Limbaugh, told Newsmax Biden made 'a very dumb statement' about the vaccines.

"The former president teased a possible 2024 run, boasting about his 'tremendous support', and said he would not be returning to Twitter - the platform from which he was banned last month." . . .

On schools, Kamala Harris does a perfect Irwin Corey imitation -

American Thinker  "Americans need to get their kids back in school. Where there are powerful teachers’ unions, though, the teachers have discovered the joys of a bunny slipper commute, a minimal workday, and a full paycheck. When NBC’s Savannah Guthrie pressed Kamala Harris on the new administration’s plan to restart classroom learning, Harris replied with non-responsive, meaningless, double talk. Had she been auditioning for an Irwin Corey homage, it would have impressive. As it was, it showed both an administration and a vice president that are incompetent." . . .

. . . The Biden administration is changing its story on an almost daily basis when it comes to schools reopening. It’s so bad that even the Associated Press has taken notice:

President Joe Biden is in a political firestorm over how and when to get more schools open amid the coronavirus pandemic, with Republicans seizing on confusion surrounding Biden’s goal to reopen a majority of schools within his first 100 days to paint the president as beholden to teachers’ unions at the expense of American families.

His administration in recent weeks has sent muddled and at times contradictory messages about Biden’s goal. On Tuesday night, the president said his 100-day goal was to have most elementary schools open five days a week, seeming to conflict with his own press secretary, who had said last week that schools would be considered “open” if they held in-person classes even one day a week.

"On Wednesday, Kamala Harris appeared on NBC’s Today Show with Savannah Guthrie and succeeded in making things worse. That’s where Irwin Corey comes in. He was a comedian whose shtick was to pose as an expert who would then inundate people with a meaningless wall of words:" . . .

"Faced with Guthrie’s probing questions, Kamala spouted streams of pointless platitudes that would have made Irwin Corey proud.

"When Guthrie noted that the CDC has tied school openings to a county’s infection rate, creating a scenario in which 90% of schools cannot open, Kamala blathered about how everyone wants schools to open. Guthrie pressed on, trying to get a statement about the CDC guidelines, especially when contrasted with the CDC’s admission that schools are safe for both students and teachers. Kamala again produced a torrent of words about wanting schools to open." . . .

Creepy Kamala hovers over Joe Biden like the Grim Reaper -

 American Thinker

.  . . "What we're seeing isn't just a cautious administration prepping a vice president to step in should the need arrive.  Kamala's slowly being inserted into Joe's role.

"After all, as Joe himself said back in May 2020, he's a "transition candidate."  He also explained after his election that, should he and Kamala ever have a difference of agreement, he will leave office and hand it over to her:

Like I told Barack, if I reach something where there's a fundamental disagreement we have based on a moral principle, I'll develop some disease and say I have to resign.

"Joe understands that he's merely a placeholder.  He got to be sworn in, he gets to sign a lot of documents; he'll have "46th President of the United States" written in his epitaph, and soon he'll gently be eased out of the White House.

"In his place, we'll get a woman who began her career by sleeping her way to the middle, who abused her office as California attorney general, and who had so little charm that she didn't even make it to the first primary election.  Add to that the fact that she's famously leftist, and Americans should be nervous and humiliated that she may one day be the official face of the United States."

Twitter Permanently Suspends Project Veritas, Locked James O’Keefe’s Account

 Legal Insurrection

O’Keefe: “Does Twitter consider reporting information the public has a right to know private information? This is quite the Rubicon we’re crossing if Twitter wants to ban this particular piece of information.”

Twitter kicked off Project Veritas from the platform for breaking its “private information policy.”

It also locked founder James O’Keefe out from his personal account.

It comes after Project Veritas posted a video of Facebook executives discussing censorship tools:

“We have a system that is able to freeze commenting on threads in cases where our systems are detecting that there may be a thread that has hate speech or violence, sort of in the comments,” Vice President of Integrity Guy Rosen can be seen explaining in the footage.

In a second video posted by Project Veritas, one of its staffers is seen confronting Rosen about his remarks outside his home as he returned from a jog.

“When you talk about freezing comments containing hate speech, what do you mean by that?” the Veritas staffer standing on the sidewalk asks Rosen as he enters his home. “How do you define ‘hate speech?’ Is it just speech that you hate?” he continues in the seconds-long interaction.

The numbers on the exec’s home address were visible in the clip, but the street name was not. License plates on surrounding cars are blurred.

O’Keefe spoke to TheWrap:

O’Keefe also said he’s confused by Twitter’s actions, considering the home address for Rosen isn’t visible in the video. “What I’m trying to understand is, what about what we did is quote ‘posting private information’?” O’Keefe said.

He added: “Reporters with microphones [and] cameras engage in reporting activities on the streets all the time in residential communities, so I’m trying to understand what Twitter considers violating their rules against posting private information. Does Twitter consider reporting information the public has a right to know private information? This is quite the Rubicon we’re crossing if Twitter wants to ban this particular piece of information.”

O’Keefe eventually removed the tweet, which allowed him to take over his Twitter account.
